The staff were very friendly, and our food came out quickly. They even helped grill everything for us, which was a nice touch. The sauces and side dishes were all flavorful and fresh. Overall, great service and great food. I’d definitely come back again soon.
Was here for family gathering and everything went pretty well. Ordered the $149.99 combo for 6 people, it came with ribs, brisket, ribeye steak, pork shoulder, pork belly, and squid. The waiter helped us to cook. All the meat is fresh, and they offered three different sauces for your needs. They gave you free kimchi as well. A great place that for families and friends. Definitely will go back again
We like a location near where we live and were happy to find out there was one near the location of a business meeting while we were in the Chinatown area of Houston. We arrived just before the start of their lunch rush so there was not wait to get seated. The atmosphere was similar to the location near where we live and the staff was just as friendly and attentive as we experience there. We tried the pork special and it was well worth it. Simply delicious if you enjoy Korean style bbq. An overall excellent experience well worth the price. Definitely consider giving this location a try of you are in the area.
Went here with my wife for lunch to celebrate an anniversary. For some, the industrial aesthetic and louder atmosphere might be an issue for that type of occasion, but it worked fine for us. The food was excellent. Don't miss the kimchi pancakes! We ordered off the basic all-you-can-eat menu and there was more than enough food and different options for both of us, including options for different spiciness preferences.
The food was really good! I liked that the 찌개 was not very salty and was honestly pleasantly surprised by that. But it felt very awkward to be sitting in the middle by the HUGE roundtable as a single person. Really wish there was a better sitting option for one person if they are to offer lunch price for individual menus.
Honey Pig did not disappoint! The first time I dined at this restaurant was 8 years ago in D.C. The service was the best I've had in Houston for Korean BBQ. Linda is amazing and kept the experience elevated. Very clean and detailed. I can't stop smiling! All the dishes 10/10. The kimchi pancake is the BEST in town!! Unfortantly, I.failes to take a picture it was too good to take time away to eat lol Will definitely come back! Thank you Honey Pig!!
Honey Pig is hands down the best spot for Korean BBQ, and their lunch specials make it an even better deal! The portions are generous, the quality of the meat is excellent, and the variety of side dishes (banchan) is unbeatable. You get all the flavors and fun of a full Korean BBQ experience at a fraction of the price during lunch hours—definitely the best bang for your buck. The spicy pork belly and marinated beef are my personal favorites, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is friendly, quick, and always attentive, ensuring you have everything you need for a great meal. If you’re looking for an affordable yet premium Korean BBQ experience, Honey Pig’s lunch specials are a game changer.
I just don't give 5 ⭐️s to any restaurant. The food, service, and atmosphere have to be EXTREMELY delicious, consistent, and vibrant. We ordered the #4 spicy pork belly, #7 beef brisket, and #11 LA beef rib. Everything was perfect! Our food was cooked at our table to our specifications, and the condiments were on point. The cook/waitstaff was very knowledgeable and attentive. This place is top-notch, trendy, family-friendly, and definitely cozy for two. NOTE: My date and I ordered 3 entrees, which drove the per person cost to $30-$50. If we ordered just 2, it would've ranged between $20-$30. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Honey Pig Korean BBQ at Welcome Food Center is truly a gem in Houston's dining scene. As one of my favorite Korean barbecue spots, it never fails to impress with its outstanding offerings and excellent service. The restaurant’s special combos, available for both lunch and dinner, offer incredible value. The meat is always fresh and marinated to perfection, accompanied by a variety of delectable sauces for dipping. One standout feature is the attentive service, ensuring a pleasant dining experience every time. A highlight of the meal is the steamed egg, which is consistently well-prepared. Honey Pig’s kimchi selection is unique compared to other restaurants but is expertly made and complements the beef combo beautifully. The dinner menu, priced at $109.99, includes the popular beef ribs. These ribs are perfectly balanced with fat, making them particularly flavorful. Another delightful aspect is the kimchi fried rice, which you can enjoy at the end of your meal. This finishing touch is both satisfying and delicious. Overall, each visit to Honey Pig has been impressive. The quality of the meat is exceptional, making it a highly recommended spot for Korean barbecue enthusiasts. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of their intriguing dishes.
The staff were very friendly. The food came out very quickly and the staff grilled it for me. Also, the one we ordered was grilled separately and gave it back to us because it was splattered with oil. So it was even better. The sauces and side dishes were delicious, too. I want to visit again as soon as possible.
This is a decent Korean BBQ spot to enjoy with a larger group of family and friends. They have tables that can seat at least 6 adults to share the grill. The food options are fine, with various meat combinations. Unfortunately, they didn’t bring out the lettuce wraps as a default accompaniment with the BBQ meat; one has to ask them for it. This takes away from the experience of enjoying Korean BBQ, especially for those new to this cuisine, as they would not know that the meat is eaten in lettuce or perilla leaves wraps. The service was quick and friendly.
Went there after landing from my flight and it was just what my family and I needed! It wasn’t busy at all so we were able to get seated and the servers there were all really nice! They kept checking in on us and helped us cook out meats. The layout is very spacious and clean. They had k-pop music playing and they’ll celebrate your birthday month if you tell them. I got the premium combo for a group of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids). The meat wasn’t marinated (other than the spicy marination) the dipping sauce didn’t really help. But the spicy one did have a really good kick to it. For the wonderful service I would definitely go back for more!
I actually drove all the way down here so that I could get my bowl of Yin Yang soup from Kyuramen, but on a whim decided to give this place a shot. I had the AYCE level 1. My best friend is a vegetarian and they were able to accommodate her with a bowl of soup that she greatly enjoyed even though she said it was too spicy (that's on her, not them, trust me she just cannot handle any spices at all!). The sides were slow to come out which I found surprising since they were the least expensive thing I was being served. The pork steak was inedible due to the amount of Crystal and muscle in the cut. The fish paste, edamame, brisket, pork belly, and other items that I had were quite tasty. I liked it, but it does not merit a second 2-hour drive for me.
Just okay, fell off hard since it initially opened. Quality and freshness of some menu items are questionable. Portion sizes don't really resemble how they're presented in the menu and in the store. And most disappointing was the limit on the better menu items such as the beef ribs and boneless beef rib (1 small serving per person), which weren't really clear in the small text when you initially order. Not really an all you can eat when you limit the best parts of the menu, while everything else looks pretty pale and not fresh.
Our group loves Korean BBQ — it’s always a go-to favorite for gatherings — so we were excited to try this AYCE spot. While the ambiance and decor were nice, and the K-pop playing throughout helped set the theme (even if it’s not our personal favorite), the overall experience left a bit to be desired. The meat quality was just okay, and the service felt rushed, which made the whole experience honestly kind of stressful — and dining out should never feel that way. The side dishes were small, and the price was on the higher end, especially considering the overall quality and pace of service. We still enjoyed our time together, but there’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to both the food and the flow of the experience.
I had Korean barbecue and honey barbecue today. The food was good, but the price wasn’t cheap. I’ve had Korean barbecue before at BORI, and honestly, BORI is much better in every way—environment, service, and food quality—for around the same price. I would definitely recommend BORI over this place.
Poor customer service . There is one man server he thought he is funny when he joked customer like : “ Oh I saw you wrapped meat inside a tissue to throw away when you go to the restroom “ . Even me and him we are not friends and we don’t know each other. Never come back again
The food was good-ish. The environment is good for a big party, but I wouldn’t say its good for a small group of people. I went there for my 20th birthday and it was absolute mess. We had to scream just get service, just to order some food. Idk what it is but they seem to have guest prioritization. Also the table cooking stove had leaks, it was all over the place. And “All you can eat”? They have limits on the most good stuff.
I’m writing this to bring light to an issue that should make the establishment have proper guideline for the future. Saturday afternoon (11/22/2025) I was dining with a friend at Honey Pig Bellaire and like most places, guests at their respective tables were celebrating a birthday. Now Honey Pig has their own way of celebrating the person by turning off the lights, playing a lively happy birthday song and the wait staff cheering at the table. What was meant to be a celebration quickly turned awry. One moment the table was celebrating the next a child’s body was on the floor and everyone around was frantic. Now I should say that the staff although they were there, did not help. In fact it took another guest from a different table to start performing CPR on the child. While this was happening, my friend and I believed the staff had 911 on the phone and to our surprise no one was calling until we asked if they could call and so did we on our end. The child’s family was beyond themselves and rightfully so, the little girl had to have been 10 yrs old at most. While on the phone with dispatch, the staff instead of finding a way to help opted to stand and stare as that child was dying in front of them. I went over to assess the situation, and noticed food was in her mouth, she was in fact choking. Immediately had the person stop CPR and had her relative help raise the child up and I was able to guide him to start the Heimlich maneuver on her and luckily another gentleman was able to come over and start patting her hard on the back to help get whatever it was that was lodged in there. Her body was limp, she was wheezing for air, barely able to make a sound. At one point she started seizing. I turned to look at the staff and notice that some of them had gone over to other tables to help cut the meat all while a child laid on the floor actively dying. When you have an establishment there has to be a proper protocol in place when emergencies like these happen. You cannot just stand there and watch as someone chokes to death. That child was receiving CPR when she should’ve been receiving the heimlich maneuver. Had the establishment had the proper equipment such as an AED, that is now made so simple that anyone can do it (it even has pictures on the pads) the machine is able to detect if a person has a pulse and lets you know if they need to be shocked or continue CPR. They also sell choking rescue devices on Amazon that can be kept at the establishment if any emergency were to arrive; again, they have pictures to help guide you in the proper way to use it. One thing as staff and managers that you should NOT do is stand there with your arms crossed, staring or tend to other tables as someone is physically needing help. Now I know CPR classes are not mandatory but for a restaurant the least you can do is know what to do when one of your clients is actively choking right before your eyes. This matter should not have been handled lightly, it was serious and required immediate attention. I’m afraid had it not been for the customers that were there that child would not have made it because what the staff did is called negligence.
I came here to celebrate my 25th birthday, and unfortunately it turned into one of the worst and most frustrating dining experiences I’ve ever had. I’ve had issues with the service in the past, but since this is one of the few Korean restaurants that can accommodate a larger group, I decided to give it another chance. First our server was extremely rude from the beginning and kept rushing us to order, even though some people in my party weren’t ready yet. She repeatedly complained about our party size (we were only 12 people) and mentioned that they “usually don’t do big parties because it gets confusing.” If they did not want to accommodate us, they could have told us upfront so we could have taken our business elsewhere. What made the situation even more uncomfortable and upsetting was noticing how the server was noticeably friendlier toward other tables specifically those with Asian customers, while being dismissive and making comments in Korean about our table full of Latinos. On top of that, we were automatically charged 18–25% gratuity per check, which would have been understandable had the service matched the added charge. To make things worse, when I requested my birthday cake, they placed the candles directly on top of the edible photo and completely ruined it. I tried to stay positive while my family and the staff sang to me, but I was honestly very upset and wanted to cry. This is the only Korean restaurant where I’ve consistently had poor service, and after this experience, I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK.
