Anastasia is an AMAZING server. She provides excellent service every time she is our waitress. She is very thorough and down to earth. The food is delicious every time, and the atmosphere is very welcoming.

Kaitlynn was our server today, and she provided us with excellent service. She was polite, friendly and professional. Food was delicious, I had the mushroom Swiss burger with a sweat tea. My husband had the Monte Cristo with a baked potato and water. We we're seated within a few minutes of arriving. Tables were clean and roomy.

I always love coming to house of pies! It's always great food, atmosphere and desserts. Thomas was an excellent server on my most recent visit, he was very attentive and friendly.

I always come here after a late night workout to refuel those carbs & my server Thomas always takes care of me. The guy was bouncing around 7 tables and was still attentive and suggested options like “ranch, marinara, etc.” The time is currently 3am and it’s busy but he’s smooth cruising looks like he’s been doing this for a while. Keep up the great work Thomas.

House of pies is a wonderful place with lots of options for breakfast, sandwiches, soups which are amazing and dinner options. The desserts - the pies, the cakes, brownie and ice cream - of course are amazing!!! Elizabeth, Sam and everyone at the Kirby location are wonderful and always so welcoming. Elizabeth is the first person we met and she knows customer service as a value!! She is the one person and now Sam we go looking for. Their Fuqua location also has great service with Heather who took care of us. Both locations are caprices are reasonable. Always excellent!!

Great food and service every time I come in. I appreciate the attentiveness of the staff. I highly recommend their hot chocolate 🔥🔥 and the blueberry muffin has been my favorite for some time. Dawn was a superb server, always had a smile and amazing service 10/10 Update - this visit was the absolute worse, from the server's additude, to the "manger" who forces a restaurant fee and yes we had a party of six even though we paid separately we were not told that the fee would be on there. And this waiters additude is the absolute worse with excuses after excuse, constant incorrect orders and above all a additude for us putting a order.

Amazing experience and great food. Our waitress Dawn was incredibly nice and helpful for it bring my first time here. I really appreciated how she checked in and ensured everything was perfect. I got the chocolate fudge cake and I would definitely recommend it.

I drove an hour to eat here and it was absolutely worth it. My server, Phillis was welcoming and was great. I'd happily drive an hour to eat here again. The eggs Benedict was phenomenal and the apple pie was stupidly delicious. 10/10 in every way possible.

The staff gave us a fast and friendly service. The menu has way too many amazing options, it was difficult - in a good way - to pick something. The pies and shakes are delicious. The portions are very generous for the price, it's good value! The interior of the building is maintained cold, bring a jacket if you don't like cold, it's otherwise great for warm weather.

My daughter and I had a mom and me day and decided to have a late lunch at the House of Pies. Q was our waitress and she was so attentive and kind. My 9 year old daughter just kept saying holes nice Q was. She even drew a picture of her as a thank you for such great service. We had a great ending to our mom and daughter day. 💕

Food was good, but my favorite thing about my time here was our server Cullen. Dude was outstanding and real friendly and just an overall vibe to be around. He made sure we had everything and kept checking up on us to make sure we were okay. House of Pies is always an experience, whether you are coming in for your morning fuel up, or if you’re drunkenly craving a slice of apple pie at 2:47am. It doesn’t matter, they always come through in the clutch. This location in particular is really well ran! It was extremely clean and it doesn’t give me that diner vibe that you’re used to with this type of menu. My server, Prince, was extremely accommodating and welcoming. He was prompt and professional when it came to his service, making sure he was one step ahead in ensuring that my lunch was an enjoyable experience. He and the rest of the staff made sure that my coffee was full and hot, water was refilled, and that my meal was up to my standards. The chicken fried steak was crispy and decadent, and the cherry pie at the end was that tart bite that I needed after something so rich. And for what I ordered (Chicken Fried Steak breakfast platter, coffee and cherry pie) it was fairly reasonable price despite the recent price surges across all eateries in America. And the cherry on top (no pun intended) was the manager and/or owner making sure I was enjoying my time and meal! If you want a great diner experience, look no further!

Stopped here on our way from the airport in Houston to Galveston. Obviously had to stop for the pie but we needed dinner too and it didn't disappoint! Hubby had the Monte Cristo and we loved their twist on it; I had the BLT with fried egg and we both had fries- they were so good! Dessert was amazing...huge servings so you can definitely split something if you're still too full from dinner :) only thing I would change is a bit faster service but overall, a great experience!

All freshly prepared, my wife's crispy hash browns and over medium well eggs were just as she requested. The avocado toast and potatoes were great. We had the fish platter(Literally made me smile so hard, this was such an amazing experience coming from someone recovering from eating disorders) and we had the Grilled chicken salad! It was soo good, and i got the citrus peach juice which is literally perfect!! Great dinner specials! Got the grilled chicken breast with mushrooms that comes with a cup of veggies, your choice of side (I went with the o’brien potatoes) and either soup or salad with a roll. I opted for the veggie soup. It was a lot of food for $18. Everything was delicious - very juicy chicken, crispy potatoes, and savory soup. Would definitely recommend this location too - hardly no crowds at 6pm. The one downside is that service was a bit on the slower time. There was no host when I arrived and it took a little over 5 minutes to be seated, despite being the only one in line. Other than that, service was pretty good, friendly waiter and fast with bringing us our items.

Went in with my son who loves the place. The first thing I noticed was all the chipped plates. 👎 I ordered the spaghetti meal with soup of the day- chicken soup! The soup of the day was great! The spaghetti flavor was great but not enough sauce. The half of slice of bread on the end of your plate is for dipping in your sauce but didn’t have even enough to cover my white spaghetti. We really enjoy coming here with family after church. Our server Kaitlynn was so sweet and did an amazing job. The hostess on the other had was rude. She at one point walked over and took the coffee from our server in a rude manner while giving her a dirty look. Then continued to walk by our table and look at it like she had some hidden agenda. It was very uncomfortable. In all we really enjoy coming here, the food is great and Kaitlynn’s service again was spot on. The hostess however might want to work on her profession skills.

Stopped in for dessert and coffee. I had a slice of lemon icebox pie with a scoop of vanilla, the husband had warm apple pie, also with a scoop of ice cream. Coffee was warm and strong. Both pies were delicious. They were out of the rhubarb pie with was a bummer. Waiter was super cool but kept his back to us talking to someone he knew so we sat without coffee for a hot minute. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for service. Once the server Amanda came to the table, she apologized for the delay and immediately put our food in. She was a good server. The French Toast Supreme was not good at all and too sweet. The hot chocolate on the other hand was very good! This was the absolute worst experience at house of pies that I have ever had. We asked for water over 6 times before getting a refill on one and not getting another. Throughout the meal we asked for 4 or 5 other things and didn't receive half of them until the meal was over. The waitress consistently kept getting our order incorrect and had an i dont care attitude while making a face when we asked for anything. When she went over our individual bills, she still got them all incorrect and asked several times what we had to eat. When I went to the manager to go over the bill, he would not explain in full why we were being charged a resteraunt fee and charged us a large group fee without telling us prior about a group of 6 or more requires it, even though we paid individually. Overall poor experience and I will not be back.

The prices have gone up far too much! $15 for a Philly Cheesesteak and a side, $6 for a chocolate shake, $12 for the Tuna Melt! The Tuna Melt was the best value and delicious. The Philly cheesesteak, it was eaten but was not good. It’s very chewy and bread was not fresh. The Tuna melt did save the day! The portion sizes are sad though, no reason two grown adults spent $50 on a meal and we left still hungry. Finally, the booths are not friendly to larger people. We’re not grossly obese and the booths are tight! They seem to want skinny folk here!

So my party and I had a great experience so I left a 5 star review, but right after i hit submit, the RUDE MANAGER BRIAN, decided to tell us, after we paid but were still enjoying our dessert, that we had to leave because they needed the table. Mind you there are various tables in our section and as I walk out tons of tables on the other side of the restaurant. I have been here and the Downtown location everytime I am in town and brought 3 friends to try it. This ruined what should have been a great experience for them. Guess we will stick to the Downtown location. Brian, as a manager you need to do better.

We ordered a cheesecake for a birthday on New Years ever the day before. When I went to pick it up they said they didn't have an would see if they had ingredients to make it. We'll they did! I was happy because we would be able to give an elderly loved one what she loved the most to eat. When it came time to sing happy birthday, the cheesecake had the strawberries just thrown on top ,no whip cream. Just sloppy!!!! I was so upset and embarrassed, I should have checked the box before leaving but I was in a rush. The girl at the register didn't apologize, just charged me and walked away. I was never rude, on the other hand was very patient with them and understanding that I knew they were busy. House of pies please be kinder and prepare your cheesecakes with love. I could have just made it at home if it was going to look like the way it did.

My 2nd time coming eating at House of Pies. I spent my day at Doctor offices and the ER. I came out hungry looking to enjoy a meal just to find a hair in my eggs and toast. I totally lost my appetite and couldn’t even enjoy a meal. The manager though was nice enough to ask me if I wanted another meal and I decided not to get one. He was nice enough to remove the cost from my ticket. Then after I paid I looked at the ticket only to see 2 charges for dessert I didn’t get that belonged to the table next to me. What a day, I should’ve just gone to Whataburger as I initially intended. I got a refund of course for the 2 items at least. I usually raise hell when these things happens, I just didn’t have the energy. The manager apologized though.

Tonight at 11 pm i ordered food. Steak and eggs with mashed potatoes and gravy. I picked it up on my way home from work. When i got home i began to eat my food. Poured the gravy everywhere because i love it and took a bite!! The gravy was extremely sour. (Spoiled). I called the store and informed the manager on duty that my food is spoiled. She offered to remake it. I informed her i wasn’t able to make it back in tonight and i would rather a refund. She told me i would have to bring the food back if i wanted a refund. I reminded her i wasnt able not able to come back that way. The said well its policy and in order to give a refund i would have to bring the food back. I said this is a huge inconvenience, not only do i not have dinner tonight but i cant even get a refund when you are there in the store with the gravy and can see that its no good and that im telling the truth. She then told me they can give me store credit. That really sent me through the roof. I told her i wasnt happy and that i would be doing a google review. She got upset and told me shell just give me a refund and hung up in my face. Im completely annoyed because i didnt deserve that. Anyone would be frustrated getting food on the way home from work after a 12 hour shift and now cant even eat dinner. I probably wont be back for a while.

This place has just been declining in quality over the past couple years. May be due to new management and the new menu. I started ordering on DoorDash from house of pies Fuqua because their inside service is terrible at night. I always used to come at night but no more. And no longer will I be ordering on DoorDash. On Saturday January 17,2026 at 10:42 pm. I called the restaurant to let them know if could speak to a manager. When answered by a “manager” she asked me how can I help you rudely and urgently. She didn’t sound like a manager at all so I don’t know if she really was one or if the actual manager was too lazy to speak to me and pawned me off onto her. Usually managers are professional. I found a piece of chipped glass fried into my chicken tenders. It was coated in batter so it was actually fried into my chicken tenders. I already told her I got a refund by DoorDash but felt they needed to know and all she said was “ok thank you” with no concern at all. I recommend maybe they should throw out that batter or change the oil as well completely so nobody health was at risk. She just said “ok thank you” My point is if someone swallowed glass she most likely wouldn’t care and the whole team didn’t care. Thankfully that wasn’t the case for me and I saw it before I ate it. It was beige but almost the color of chicken so I could have ate it. It was extremely sharp. I’m starting to believe it was one of their chipped beige plates they use for service but all I know it was chipped glass for sure. I didnt even get an I’m sorry or she didn’t even try to make it up. This issue should be addressed by corporate and they should speak to the managers about this. The way nobody cared was just awful. Swallowing glass can be extremely dangerous and life threatening.

The service is terrible here! My wife & I received our dinners cold, having taken two bites, we couldn’t even eat furthermore. We thought, hey the manager can fix this problem, but nope… instead, she got offended as if we were the problem! Being rude & disrespectful to the both of us and then telling us we would be charged for the cold dinner and the replacement dinner, including the two bites all together. Before we can decide as we argue politely back, she cuts us off and tells the employee to just charge us fully for the cold dinner, a new dinner, & for the two bites. She had no remorse as if she was feeding stray dogs cold food. She’s a small woman but heavy issues toward customers as we’ve also seen her being rude to another set of guests. She is despicable and should be fired for breaking company policy regarding poor customer service. And the cooks should be properly trained or dismissed. We will not be eating here again!
