This is by hands-down, the best Japanese place I have ever been to the food was absolutely delicious.. There PHO bowl with the hot sake with my cream crab puffs was absolutely great can’t forget about them pork sandwiches have you licking your fingertips away😂 I am truly a faithful customer now

So delicious! I had the beef and broccoli- it comes with a side of white rice but I was able to substitute with miso soup. My husband got the black dragon and the kamikaze rolls. We both enjoyed our food, and our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to come back again!

WOW! 😳 Absolutely Amazing! Tried this restaurant and it’s now my favorite Asian restaurant. Blown away with every aspect. Worth giving a try you won’t be disappointed. You must have the lychee margarita it’s ridiculous.

I’ve been twice, and it’s been great both times ! The employees are so kind and the food is amazing ! I recommend the miso ramen and the shaggy dog roll, that’s what I ordered both times !

Great place. Cool decor, inspiring music, family friendly, good ramen, good sushi, menu has lots of options - chicken katsu, sushi, ramen, Orange chicken, general tso chicken. . . All kinds of dishes. We had the steamed gyoza, tom yum ramen, and Mississippi roll. Loved the chicken ramen. Liked the gyoza - would order again. Enjoyed the Mississippi roll, definitely filled us up! They have little bonsai trees for decor which look pretty neat.

This is our second visit, and my Grand accompanied us. Same great ramen, a little sake, and this time we had the Bbq'd Octopus. It was 10/10.

You either choose to order at Regular Price or All You Can Eat lunch $17 or dinner $26 For AYCE, you have 3 round to orders with selection of 2/3 of menu, but dont worry it covers most popular items. For each round, you can order maximum of 30pcs of sashimi, 2 sushi rolls or either 1 ramen plus Appetizer and Dessert selection. Our first time in here and we were knocked out at 1st round with leftovers. Can't believe their hot sake in tall bottle for just $5. Definitely will come back again with more friends!!!

All you can eat here is the best bang for your buck. Sushi tasted fresh and was delicious. I had the salmon, octopus, tuna sashimi and sushi that tasted great. I also ordered shrimp tempura and salmon/caterpillar rolls. The gyoza and spring rolls for apps were good too. Service was fine, nothing extraordinary. Would come back here again!

Food was delicious so as drinks and prices are reasonable with plenty of seating.Taro milk tea was on point while we celebrated with a fried cheesecake. Staff are attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend this spot as it also stays open late.

First time dining in and the staff was so friendly & helped a lot with what to order. They have all you can eat specials for lunch & dinner which includes ramen and is a pretty good deal! Pictured is the Miso Pork Paitan (without egg) the pork was cooked very well and since I love miso soup this was perfect! Definatley will be back to try more

A wide variety of all you can eat options from appetizers like tempura, poke, karaage chicken, yakitori chicken or gyoza to the core nigiri, hand rolls and many delicious rolls. Order a fair amount your first round so you’re not waiting for food while you’re hungry. Very large parking lot.

Freaking amazing. We got the "All you can eat" and let me say this: we were not disappointed! Servings are large, food is fresh, staff is wonderful.. just don't be wasteful. The Tom Yum Chicken Ramen is hands down the best dish I’ve ever had in the city—packed with bold flavors and the perfect balance of spice. I have to add Mikoto to my favs to eat at. I arrived on their break time (Oops) but anywho the greeter was so sweet and kind to me. I told her it was my first time there and she was eager to give me a to go menu and advised me on when I returned. When I did return she recognized me and happily showed me to a booth. My waiter was very pleasant as well. (Thanks)THEE FOOD! EXCEPTIONALLY EXCELLENT AND VERY DELICIOUS😋 I took the offer of all you can eat and only ate what I ordered as pictured below. I was too full. Great food! The ramen was really good, ask for the chilli oil it gives it a great kick if you like spicy! The roll was also really good definitely recommend! Come on your birthday or anniversary and get your picture on the wall! Great atmosphere, great service!

Excellent service! Excellent sushi! We had 3 rolls, the 007, Kiss of Fire and Katy Roll and a miso soup. On the house, they gave us a sample of Takoyaki and two flavors of ice cream. They also gave us a 25% off the total bill due to Covid-19 issues. Everything was great. I will return.

The restaurant was immediately busy after we arrived but the waitress remained attentive. If you enjoy crab meat, I highly suggest the Mississippi roll. The total came up to about $40 or so, which was a great price in comparison to meals at Jinya or Shokku. It’s a very dim and calming setting. After ordering my appetizers and main course a good few minutes apart, I received them at the same time not long after. The service was quick and I see myself coming back for several future occasions.

Best ramen ever in Houston! We had 20% discount on our total meal! Was even offered complimentary appetizer. We tipped the waitress 20% for outstanding service. It is quite a busy restaurant. Food is totally worth the wait! Everything looked so upscale and the prices were affordable and reasonable!

This was a cute place to grab a quick lunch. The service was fast and friendly! They immediately greeted us at the door and our food came out in 10 mins after ordering. The broth was really flavorful but the only complaint I had was that there wasn’t enough broth. The portion looks small but they give you a lot of noodles to make up for it so it is very filling. I got the spicy chicken ramen and it is the best chicken ramen I’ve had so far in Houston.

We’ve been to Mikoto around 5 times now this year. It is an absolutely AWESOME restaurant with fantastic service. They do a-la-carte but the real treasure is the AYCE option. This menu is deep and the food comes out quickly. The AYCE option also includes around 9 different ramen types! The restaurant itself is decorated very cooly - with RGB lighting, multiple TVs playing sports, and 2 bar areas. Booster seats and high chairs are available, and very young children eat free. 11/10, highly recommend this restaurant!

I've been coming here more and more frequently since I found out about the lunch special. The quality of the food and the price point can't be beat. I always leave full and satisfied. At the time of the post lunch is $13.55 Be aware if you do come during their lunch rush expect to wait time for service. They do their best to accommodate everyone so be nice and relax. If you're on a time crunch then this place isnt for you.

I came here with my friend after work around 6ish . The place was pretty emptied. We got greeted at the host station, the waiters and waitresses are attentive and nice. The decors are pretty cute . I enjoyed the foods and services. Great place to stop at for a quick meal.

Overall great experience. Food is always top with nice offerings that are fresh and really tasty. They have sushi, ramen dishes, regular salads and many meat dishes. The various toppings give one options to enjoy a meal as you like. Nice use of spices and seasoning. The open areas make it great for lunch or dinner with friends or for meeting new friends. The restaurant is very clean open and has a friendly atmosphere. The waitstaff are really nice and helpful. They seem to enjoy talking to people. We got 10% off for doing take out. My wife and I go here for date night, we love the menu I don't like sushi but Mikotos does it right for some reason and I get it every time. The portions are crazy good I'm a big guy so I can put away. Can be a bit pricey if order ramen, sushi, and appetizers it adds up

Went to dinner with a large group. The food and service were great. I’m rather spoiled going to “boutique” restaurants, so was not impressed with the interior design. However the service and food were excellent. This is a perfect spot for foodies in the neighborhood. It’s a great “local”, family-owned business. You can order sushi, sashimi, Japanese to Asian-fusion dishes.

My friend and I tried this for the first time. We enjoyed an all you can eat lunch, the cost is very affordable around $20 and I believe dinner is around $30 per person. You dine in and the restaurant is not that large, pretty intimate space. They have 3 large rectangular tables, a few booths and a couple of high tables and chairs. Around the tables there are paper menus with pens. Pretty simple you check everything you want and the waiter comes to pick it up. I believe you are allowed to order 3 times per person, not too sure because we only ordered a ton of food the first time so we did not order a second batch. Food was delicious. We had a great selection and we were stuffed by the time we left. I plan on going back with friends and family.

The workers are so nice, the food is spectacular and the overall restaurant is beautiful. I did the all you can eat deal for 15.99 (in the afternoon), and it was 100% worth it. However, if u choose that option, you are not allowed to waste the food which is reasonable. I 100% plan on going back to try their ramen and for more sushi.

This place is fantastic! The music the ambience the style are unique and invitingly. The food is really good. The tempura roll was my favorite. The beers were super cold . They have individual booths but I had the opportunity to seat down in the big communal table where you are seated next to other people in a big long table. The service was fast and the staff is super kind. The place is clean throughout and it does have restrooms and it is accessible for wheelchairs.

Their sushi and rolls are amazing. The ramen is also included in their AYCE however not a fan of their ramen. I gave them 4 stars because my favorite the tempura shrimp is just okay. It is overcooked ( overfried) and taste like its previously frozen. But if youre here for the sushi and rolls, I recommend this place.

I do like the variety of sushi choices. Especially the spicy salmon hand rolls whole most restaurants only have spicy tuna. My only pet peeve is they put too much rice in the handrolls. Next time bring a squad so you can try more items in the menu. Made fresh to order buffet style. Something to try at least once :)

The sushi rolls are large and filling -- I always have trouble finishing up! They also have some great lunch combo deals. Delicious specialty rolls and Nigiri overall. My only complaint is that the service seems a bit lacking at times -- slow to come over and refill drinks/deliver the check. I think I associate that with the place just being busy as heck around lunch time with a low amount of servers available. However, if you're a sushi fan you owe yourself a visit to this place!

We got here at 4pm and there was only one server who was also the hostess at the same time. I’m not sure if they had servers call in today, but it’s a Friday afternoon, so they should certainly have more servers on the floor. It was consistently busy, about six tables, yet the server was quick and efficient. Food was delicious. The Premium all-you-can- eat ends at 2pm, so we had to do Deluxe. No dessert included in Deluxe, but we got the three mochi ice cream for $5 and it was yummy. Paying $30 per person for deluxe and only getting 90 minutes is crazy tho.

All you can eat, good quality sushi for $18?? Why wouldn't you go?? Honestly though, I was not expecting much of a good sushi experience for that price. I'm glad I was wrong. It's not Uchi or Teppay quality, but for that price, I'll be back.

I would give it a 4.5. Few service issues dropped it from a 5 star review. We went on the weekend for the all you can eat and it was worth it and better then we ever imagined. The place is nice and hip with techno pumping through out the restaurant. Happy staff that greets everyone who walks in with what i am guess was Japanese like you were at cicis pizza. You are given 2 sheets of paper from which you select what your ant to eat. One sheet for poke and appetizers and the other for the sushi and rolls. The poke bowl was great. We split a bowl of the spicy pork ramen. They only have one size and they should offer small portions so its not all wasted when you realize you really dont like it. The appetizers came out soon and you can reformer more if you want. The sushi says it comes out in 6-8 pieces but we must have ordered wrong as the first place only had smaller serving. I think we were ordering the wrong things and then the second plate came out that you can see in the pics was a full plate. Some single pieces were dry and not good, but overall the rest was good. The dragon roll was great. For 15.99 you will never have a better value or meal. We will be back.

First time here. The ambiance was good, nice for a quiet dinner. I ordered the spicy beef stew and bbq big squid and wash it down with hot sake. The beef stew was delicious, good portions and broth temperature was hot, not scolding for me. As for the squid, I would say rubbery texture and tough. It is a pass for future orders. Overall, I would recommend and give it another try!

The ramen + sushi roll combo cannot be beat for lunch. You'd pay double ordering each thing separately so just get the combo and be done with it. It's communal seating so you might have neighbors but we went late enough that it wasn't an issue.

The sushi is wonderful with lot of flavor. I would recommend Shaggy dog roll. We ordered Chicken Ramen but it was okay since the broth was luke warm when arrived. The waiter was kind enough to get it replaced.

Let’s say you don’t want basic Asian food but you want a casual, not too expensive place to accommodate a big group of people who may or may not be accustomed to Asian cuisine, Mikoto Sushi is good for that. There’s sushi, ramen, alcoholic drinks, and even boba. I tried two speciality sushi dishes, miso soup, and a boba drjnk—and they were all good enough but not my style. I prefer food that has more of a “zing.” Also the milk tea is not good… EDIT: I did not realize Mikoto was an “all you can eat” place. That explains why the food isn’t as good!

One: it's all you can eat BUT it isn't includes the whole menu, a good amount of items on the menu isn't for all you can eat. TWO: only 3 rounds per person, even if you share one order sheet it will still count one round for each of you (the food are big, so it will fill you up, no worry) I'd recommend you guys to try it out

Service is a bot slow during lunch hours but the wait is worth it...the servers help you in selecting the best choice...I did not love the beer choice though. Fried stuff (4/5) - onion ring, sweet potato, zucchini, shrimp tempura were all typical. Edamame (4/5)- perfect seasoning outside and soft beans on the inside... Char Sui bun (3/5) - just about ok

The good review goes for the food, it was really good and it came very fast for a Monday at lunch time. Music was very loud, table was greasy and we did waited a long time for someone to acknowledge us and come to our table and take our order. We didn't like that the main dishes were first and the appetizers arrived later. Also our waiter ignore us several times when we try to call him. I do think they need to hire more people.

Atmosphere is nice and menu has so many flavorful options. Got the California sushi rolls, pork Ramen x2 , and basic soft drinks. For dessert, i asked for Green tea Mochi but got simple green tea ice cream instead.. even though it wasn't what I asked for, it was still very good. Definitely can't go wrong. Waitress was a rare form, we appreciated not constantly being bothered but a drink refill would have been nice as well as not having to wait 26 minutes for a check..

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night around 6:30pm, and it was reasonably busy. We were able to get a booth to ourselves vs. sharing a table with other diners. We did the AYCE sushi buffet. The sushi quality is on par with the quantity you get. It’s not Uchi-level, of course, but the sushi was fresh. We ordered 4 nigiri (2 salmon, peppered tuna, yellowtail), 2 hand rolls (eel & calamari), 5 rolls (tiger, spice girl, spicy salmon salmon, Manhattan, dragon) to start, and it came out within 10-15 minutes. We also got the spicy beef ramen, which was flavorful and had a lot of noodles. Our server was a little weird about us ordering “so many” rolls to start. She asked us 3 times if we were sure we could finish all the food and kept asking us if we wanted to revise our order, because they charge extra for unfinished food. My fiancé and I were wondering if we were super fat or something, but we had no problem finishing the rolls and even ordered more. If you get a server like this, just ignore it and eat up!!

Nice atmosphere inside, but service was long as attentive as they could’ve been. The food made up for it though. I usually go to Sumo but this place is on par in quality of sushi, the only difference is you order all at once. Definitely come for birthdays for a free shot.

We were trialing it via grubhub and didn't know what to expect. I typically try my sushi without the soy sauce to see if the food stands out on its own. The hand rolls came out spicy which was nice And the spider roll and crab roll were tasty as well. But something was missing. I'm not clear if the restaurant experience is meant to be different, or if the grubhub version lacks quality for whatever reason. But having tried a few different sushi places. I have my opinions. The eel and avacado was i guess...mealy is the right way to describe it. Fell apart, but texturally just felt off. Like it froze and unfroze at some point. The tuna roll, yellowtail, and salmon were off to me. There's not supposed to be a palate difference for me to be able to tell. There was a fishy aftertaste to all three independently . The wrap wasn't tight enough. The nori also wasn't actually holding things together. It's as if the rice vinegar was missing. Edit: So definitely not fresh. I'm not clear of the training done by the sushi chefs. But I've had better. For context, I've had sushi before fron Jellyfish sushi, hawa poke, nippon, and several others. Tuna, cut correctly and fresh has a sheen to it almost iridescent. There shouldn't be little bits hanging out on top of the sushi roll. I've... objectively had better. So...lots of places to improve Follow up edit: there were no sauces or chopsticks included either. For whatever reason I'm reasonably certain grubhub is not to blame for this

Recently found this place and I have to say, their all you can eat is worth it. You get to try all of the food essentially. Sushi was fresh and the ramen is great as well. You will have to be patient however, the food takes a while to get to you as the workers are running around to multiple tables. Modern Japanese vibes.

We was nearby for some errands, so I stopped by for dinner. The service that day was rather slow, it took about 15 minutes from ordering to receiving the food. The chicken skewers were also overcooked. The ramen we ordered tasted okay. Overall, I'd give the experience a 7 out of 10.

Went to lunch, opted for all you can eat menu. $19.99 pp lunch. Ordered a couple appetizers and sushi rolls. Food was super fresh and delicious. Only complaint is that Tempura batter is too heavy, it's not light and fluffy 🤨 Ambiance was romantic and cozy. Decor was pleasant and easy on the eyes..... what I mean is its not overly bright 🙂 Service was great and servers were attentive. Side note: most of the Ramen dishes were included in the price for lunch and you fill out a sheet for appetizers and another sheet for rolls etc. I noticed that it was limited to 3 rounds pp. I'm not sure there is anyone who can go 3 rounds 😆 Will definitely add to my list of favorites 🙂 Do go and try it out, form your own opinion and leave me feedback. So This is a tough one to judge since I had never eaten Japanese ramen noodles, I got the beef and my wife the chicken , we don’t really know if it was real Japanese ramen or an adaptation of It but we were not really blown away by it. We kinda expected some really tasty, and just wonderful broth and very tasty and fresh herbs and meats, the kind you get when you eat pho (not Japenese I know) but we where pretty disappointed by the ok plates, it’s a shame since the place is really cool, so this place looks and feels like a million bucks but falls short to deliver on the food. Perhaps the sushi maybe better. Also the service felt a little rushed and cold , not a single smile from the guy who waited us and we felt rushed into ordering also not the minimal of interaction other then ordering.

The last time I came here was 2016. The servers were rude. The food took so long to get it ready and it wasn't good when we got it. I thought I'd give this place another chance when I came back, but I had the exact same service and food experience. Tempura food were over fried, sushi was extra soaked in sauce losing the taste of the fish and the ramen noodles looked as if it just got out of the freezer. I suggest not coming in a big group because they could not handle all our orders of 20 unfortunately. They were nice and crack a few jokes, but sadly I do not like the food at all...

I thought the food was good but no rice offered on the all you can eat and you could barely read it. Sushi is not as fresh as other places.

The place was good the first time around, but now it seems to have decline. The rolls for me feels like it's drowning in sauce, which some may like, but for me all I taste is the sauce. The dipping ramen, they gave such a little amount of noodles compared to the amount of broth they give you, which taste so salty. I had to add some water into the broth. The pork char siu and milk tea was from first time around. Service here is decent, I always get a friendly welcome and the servers are nice. Overall, I wouldn't see myself coming here often, but if a friend/family wants to go then I would.

Wasn’t impressed with this place . Sushi rolls were falling apart and they were just okay . Sashimi was descent . Service on the other hand pretty much non existent. The wait staff was busy texting or playing on their phones the whole time , had to yell across the restaurant to get their attention. Also had no beer on draft however on their menu that is listed as an option .

The mega pork ramen looked really good but there wasn't much flavor in the broth, meat, or noodles. It was very plain and needed some kind of seasoning. :/ Takoyaki was bomb af! I'd go again for the sushi!!! But the ramen is always hit or miss :(

Came here twice. First time with friends. Second time with family to celebrate my mother's birthday and we got the AYCE. Overall, my experience was average. I thought the ambience was really nice. The sashimi was pretty good. I especially enjoyed the salmon and white tuna. My only complaints however were that the nagiri came with too much rice. I felt that it was better for me to order nagiri and sashimi, and split the rice in half to use on both pieces. I also found the rice to be a bit mushy. It wasn't as firm as other places. This is a big deal for me because the rice is an important part of sushi. Since they also charge you if you don't finish your plate, having so much rice puts you at a disadvantage as you end up getting full faster. I also felt there wasn't too much variety for fish. They could have added more like squid. If they fix the rice issue though, id be willing to bump up the review.

First time Visit was a good time, the food was tasty. So much so that I invited someone to experience it with me. My second visit, I was sitting at the table for 5 to 8 minutes with no one to greet us. I observe both of the servers actively avoiding the table. when we got the attention of one of the servers we asked him who was supposed to help us. He looks around and says “oh I guess me.” from then on we continue to receive very crummy service, then another person approached the table and try to take the order after I watched her look at the table and walk away twice. It wasn’t busy when we are arrived there were two tables and then once we sat down to additional tables were say. both of those tables that came in after us receive water before me and my date received water for the cocktails we ordered. As we begin to get service it was very abrupt& impersonal. The server no longer began to re-water us, he slammed a pitcher on our table and scurried off. Not sure if those two were trying to run me and my date off from the business but I definitely won’t be returning. he didn’t even take the effort or time to find or clean the piturn and before filling it with water. Everyone I recommended this place too I will now inform them of my poor experience and advise them to be cautious before choosing to come here.

Service wasn’t great, a server told us we couldn’t order what we wanted and we had to wait for the second round (you can only do three rounds of orders). We had to share a table with multiple groups; not the end of the world, but diseases are real. Water tasted weird as well. Overall 3/5.

Great food, great service, only negative we had was they were short a suchief so was a little bit slow. Other than that, Mikoto may be my new favorite. Update a year later: 23 Feb 22... Sorry, I've been waiting all month to go back here..... so disappointed tonight. Miso tasted like wood (?) was nasty, the sushi roll was good, so was the poke bowl however, half of the tempura was burnt and could taste the burntness in follow-up orders. So, so disappointed... I'm not sure I'm interested in going back again.

My ramen broth was not hot. It was lukewarm. I should have refused it, honestly. The server never checked on us, I ran out of tea.

It was good in 2024. Fast-forward to 2026 and this food is not good. Things like small paper napkins, not tasty chicken yakatori, small portion of eel in the rice bowl. Warm asahi beer. Watered down ice tea. And a non professional wait staff that is just working here until they can find a career in their field of college study. Are all reasons that you might want to skip this eatery. Family if four will cost $100 or more but it won't be money well spent. Also, the kitchen staff appeared to not be japanese.

My ramen was spoiled the mean was burned and cold it was confusing to the taste buds as well as the stomach. I took one bite and ate no more. My companion ate more and was sick the next day. Service was good and the atmosphere was cute but food horrible at the time I went. Hopefully that was just my experience only.

One Star – Never Again This was, hands down, one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. From the moment we walked into Mikoto Ramen Sushi Bar on Katy Fwy, things felt off. The staff seemed completely dazed and confused, like they had no idea what was going on. Service was incredibly slow and disorganized — we had to flag someone down just to get water. The atmosphere was awful: loud, blaring music made it impossible to hold a conversation, and the restaurant was so dark we could barely see the menu. Definitely not kid-friendly. Now for the food: completely tasteless and disappointing. The ramen was bland, the sushi fell apart, and everything just felt thrown together with no care or flavor. To top it off, there was a dead roach in the bathroom hallway and another in the bathroom itself — absolutely disgusting. This was our first and definitely last visit. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. There are far better ramen and sushi spots in Houston.

First time ordering take out. Ordered the Spicy Pork Ramen and found and undercooked egg. The egg appeared to be tan in color. Definitely wasn’t the type of fully cooked hard boiled white egg they have displayed on the menu. Spoiled my whole appetite. Wasted money.

The guy at the front looked SO unprofessional, no belt and sagging his pants. We got out ramen and it was the worst ramen i have had in Houston. NO flavor and tasted like packaged ramen. I got the Wonton Ramen and didnt even have wonton, it was GYOZAS ! And that bowl was almost 17 $ ! Portion was so small , and also my husband got the Miso Pork Ramen and also had no flavor. The eggs are overcooked and the food is overpriced. DISGUSTING. AWFUL. BROTH IS NOT GOOD. A DISGRACE TO RAMEN. GO TO CHINATOWN IN SW HOUSTON FOR GOOD RAMEN. DO NOT COME HERE !!

I’ve been coming here for years and the Ayce is well priced and tastes good. I went today and there were roaches in our booth. When we told the waiter he didn’t look surprised and just asked if we wanted to continue ordering. Safe to say we won’t be going back 🥴
