*update* 7/26/24 3 Year's later and this place is still AMAZING . Always busy must try! ----------------- We went in a Monday afternoon and was not busy. We were greeted promptly, sat and the wait staff was attentive throughout our meal. chips were fresh, warm and delicious . Salsa perfect it was not too hot and flavorful. Food was hot, fresh, well seasoned and generous portions. It was priced a bit more then average so we picked from the "value" menu. We liked the atmosphere so I we will be returning. The standout item was this green salsa that came with my wife's meal. Omg it was amazing! I asked for some extra and poured it all over leftovers the next day. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a dinner date for two or fulll family meal.

For a Sunday night they were busier than most places we visit. Beef fajitas for two was the perfect portion to share and the beef was so delicious. To shelf margaritas are amazing and our server, Speedy, made our first visit awesome. Can't wait to come back and try out more on the menu.

El Palenque has been our favorite Mexican food restaurant for years. Our server Adrian is amazing. He is so pleasant and attentive. Our food was just as we ordered, hot, flavorful and fresh. The restaurant is so colorful and clean. Great experience all around. I really appreciate their consistency. I recommend!

Had dinner here this evening and let me tell you I know I've said this but this is a great place to eat! Guacamole was soo good! We had the California burrito with the chicken fajita the chicken was seasoned very well. Also ordered the Texas burrito with all three meats (beef, chicken, steak fajita) also seasoned well. I have to mention one thing about the steak fajta meat in the Texas burrito it was the absolute best fajita meat by far I have had yet at a restaurant here in Houston! These burritos were huge enough for two meals. The staff were very friendly as well. We will definitely be back to try something else and I suggest if your ever in the area yall stop and give them a try as well!!

Omg!! Best Food and Best Margaritas!! Ive been trying ao many placea around Tomball and Cypress and Finally! Finally !! A place that serves their salsa warm just like we like it! Margaritaa were on Point! I was buzzy 1/2 way thru the large! Had good time with Familia! I cant wait to come back. Food was delicious! Sour cream Enchiladas we soo yummy! My new Fav...El Palenque!

Great I always get number 29 for breakfast.. today I found out that is no longer there and they have replace it with another breakfast sandwich! Took a pick after I was almost done eating it...

They serve a warm salsa that had a good flavor and it not really spicy. The queso comes with pickled jalapeños which is a nice touch. I ordered the pechuga diabla and it was very good! Get the home made corn tortillas. The atmosphere is family friendly and loud. I think our waiter had too many tables because he took forever to get out orders and needed reminders to bring our check. But he was nice and help when ordering.

Friday lunch service was a little slow but we had a large group so kind of to be expected. Chicken fajita tacos al carbon were good. Refried beans were pretty good. Didn't love the salsa for the chips. Service was friendly. They also have an ice cream machine which is a nice touch.

I ordered the Ultimate cheese burger. It's not big like the photo. I return it. $10 for this. Not satisfying. False advertising.

Slow but nice people

Last visited 05/03/25 12:10am This place is okay as long as you don't come on the night shift who are very lazy. They don't even cook on this shift. They microwave The burgers and don't prepare it the way you request but will tell you that they did even though they know they didn't lol. When your burger is ready 2 minutes after ordering it. You know you have trash which it was. Fries were cold and hard. Burger was super hot with soft mushy bun from being in the microwave so long but the guy working in window insisted it was prepared the way I asked for it. If you go in the daytime it's okay because they know you will bring it back when not right. Night shift. Just want you away from window since they get scored by how long the vehicle sits there. Best skip location all together and go on telephone road

Prices are out of control here. Used to be a good value Now it’s cheap food for Lupe Prices. $90 for 1 margarita, beef fajitas for 1 and a chicken chimichanga. 1 table spoon of cheese for the fajitas, none on the chimichanga. $6.50 for extra cheese and then included gratuity for a 2 person ticket. Just lost a 34 year customer tonight. Manager should go to business school and learn some foundational skills like client retention……

The atmosphere was great. The service from Speedy was top knotch. The food was just ok. The best part of my meal was the cheese. The guacamole was flavorless, the refried beans tasted spoiled, and but the warm salsa was pretty tasty. I don't think I'll be back, but I'd still say try it and hopefully someone orders a good meal for now others to try.

This picture costed me 35 bucks... maybe it's the neighborhood, but never in my life have I ever been scammed this badly. 3 tacos... 35 bucks. I've been to many taqueria so I'm familiar with what market price is, but the price at this resturant is terrible for what it's worth. Food was below mid at best, but prices are 2x the average market rate. If you want a real taqueria experience go to a different place. I never called the manager over in my life, but I had to because there were charges on my bill I was not aware was put on there, but the manager just told me the waiter can pay the difference on my bill... the waiter shouldn't have to pay for the resturants menu hidden fees. Won't be coming here again, won't recommend for those looking for good Mexican food. Waiter was nice though, and I truly do feel bad that they have a terrible/greedy manager that would take money from them as if they don't make enough money anyways.

Honestly average tex mex, no complaints about the food, wasn't in the mood for something fancy but the prices have gone up a bit. The salsa was a bit runny but the flavor is good. The waiter really ruined this experience, older man, was so unenthusiastic to serve us he just talked under his breath. Felt very judged and he obviously neglected our table. Got borderline angry that I asked for guacamole like he expected me to argue about paying for it. Wouldn't return to my table despite giving good service to his other tables who I assume are regulars. His attitude got really friendly when he realized I was paying for the entire meal. Lucky for him a bad tip from me was probably much better than anything his tired old regulars left him, hopefully he will learn to give consistent service. My guest was as surprised as me, this experience was embarrassing. I will never return to this location, there is better tex mex to be found for an equal or better value literally everywhere.

Jack's used to be my go to salad fast food chain. Today I actually went for the chicken fajita pita and found it was discontinued. What a shame that is. They do not have that many healthy items here and that was the best one. I got the salad and asked for balsamic. THAT didn't happen. When I went to eat it it was so small. I mean where did the lettuce go? The bowl used use to be full and have onions which I guess is not a thing anymore. Jack you had better step up your game! Chick and Whata are making salads that blow this laughable salad out the water. If you're going to give me a side a salad that's fine but don't make me pay full price for some lettuce and a bunch of cheese! Anyways though you should know. You have changed and not for the better!

I order the spicy wedges because it does not contain ranch dressing as I am allergic to ranch dressing. Rosalinda S and her coworker was laughing and playing around when I got to the drive thru window therefore I assume they were to distracted to pay attention to the order that they personally put in the system as seen on the receipt. I’m in a school pick up line therefore I cannot leave to get my order corrected. Now I cannot eat half of my wedges due to being contaminated in ranch dressing. (The spicy wedges does not have ranch dressing). Can we advise staff to double check orders before sending them out?

I asked for the loaded tiny tacos, and....... voila!! This is what I received. It seems like they threw some lettuce and taco sauce and made their own recipe!! Tasted horrendous. I don't even think tiny tacos have lettuce in them! They could've been honest with me and said they didn't have the ingredients, instead I paid a bit extra for this.

So today on 11/07/2025 i came to try to get food. I was in line when I waited for another person to respond back to me. No one respond to me until a gentlemen came on. I told this man that I was going to end up going inside. My reasoning was I wanted to make sure my food was done right. Instead I waited in line for another person to move forward. At that point i try to walk into the building. Cause the last time I came to jack boxes it was late at night. The worker here could have been polite just said the building was closed due to the neighborhood. I don't even know our care is called " being polite! There was no stuttering when I spoken directly made the comment. I wasn't impolite at all so that being said if you're coming from hospital District dont stop. Also the manager was polite enough to have a conversation and explain what he might have missed heard. So that being said it your choice. But it seems me and jack in box don't have history after the first baby. That first baby loved jack box that all I craved while I was pregnant. Our maybe it the food I could afford at that time. Either way I try to eat here tonight. I wanted a memory from the past. Your choice to eat our not but maybe it was a mistake. But a simple mistake could leave someone outside in a bad area. You than place someone at risk . I'm already crazy enough not to be scared. lol. A joke for a bad time when food should leave tingles in your mouth.

Been stuck in the drive through for over 20 minutes....there's only 2 car ahead of me. Rediculous

We were in the drive thru behind 4 cars for approximately 10 minutes when the car in front of me gave up and left. We were in line for another 10 minutes before the line finally started moving. The employee was all about here's your food good by. My order of tacos was cold and stale. Mind you, this was at midnight, and they were not busy at all.

They did not give me my full order. The employee just handled me the bag and since I trusted all the food items were there I didn’t notice I was kissing 5 tacos. This is my first experience like this. I tried contacting them 5 times and once they answered they heard my claim and they hanged up once talked with another employee. This is ridiculous. I literally can’t even get a refund or come back.

So dirty place employs are so rude and only attend drivetru no walkin costumers

The tacos were not labeled on the package for the plain ones, and the worker said that the person who took my order was new to the job, but I even repeated it twice & the guy said "I Got Chu Bro." I was like Oooook & finally get to the window the tacos weren't completely right.

We tried this place after a trip to the game store next door. It was incredibly disappointing. Paying $15 for two crunchy tacos and one enchilada with thin runny sauce is an insult. You can eat better at Taco Bell for 1/3 the price.

Nasty! Nasty! Nasty! Never going back, plastic was in my food & it grossed me out. Luckily I taste the food before giving it to my kids & I got the piece of plastic. The lady at the door Valentina was rude & looked right over me to help the people behind me. They weren’t even ready to be seated & I was ordering to go. Then to have plastic in my food made it even worst 🤮🤮🤮🤮 the ice cream there is mixed with something to make it stretch, of course anything free is questionable in America
