Opinions de Salad and Go Houston
Just so you know, there is no public inside area, this place is drive thru only. This was my first visit, so I ordered the Good Greens Salad and the Green Reviver juice. I drank the green reviver so quickly that I forgot to take a photo. Nonetheless, everything was very fresh, the service was quick, and the prices are really reasonable. There is nothing more that you could want from a healthy fast food place. As I embark on healthier habits, I plan to frequent this place.
For months, my friend has been raving about Salad and Go—specifically their salads—and I finally decided to give it a try. I downloaded the app, placed my order for a Caesar salad with chicken (and added steak, because why not?), and set a pickup time for 30 minutes later. The pickup concept is simple: a walk-up window with a doorbell. Quick, efficient, no frills. Fifteen minutes later, I was home, ready to dig in. The salad was straightforward—croutons, Parmesan cheese, chicken, steak, and dressing—but after shaking it up for a few seconds and taking my first bite, I was honestly blown away. It’s just a salad, right? But the dressing was perfectly balanced, the lettuce was fresh and crisp, and there was a generous amount of chicken and steak. It felt surprisingly satisfying, yet I still found myself wishing there was more when I finished. If you’re looking for a fresh, flavorful, and convenient option, Salad and Go delivers. I’ll definitely be back for another round!
Store #1502 - This convenient location is very close to the hospitals around TMC. They have a drive up and walk up window, so the order is very fast and efficient. I ordered the chicken Cobb salad without blue cheese crumbles/dressing, ranch instead $6.42. A 24 ounce cucumber mint lemonade $1.42. This lunch was only $9 and I’m so happy it is here!! Its close location & affordable pricing is why I’m coming back!
They are a good, fast, and inexpensive breakfast/lunch. I use their app for easy ordering and do the On the Go bundle. This includes breakfast item, a salad, and a drink for like 12 bucks. Can’t beat that price! Although they used to be cheaper, but it’s still a better alternative to other expensive salad places. I get a bowl for breakfast and ad sriracha. *chefs kiss* Recommend!
I tried this place for the first time today and I was extremely happy about my experience! Being able to stop by before work and get breakfast and lunch at the same time is so convenient. The price was unbeatable I really wish there was more locations! I got a cold brew, traditional bfast burrito and the autumn salad with chicken for about $13. The burrito was delicious and the salad was filling. Service was fast and fantastic. Definitely recommend.
This location is drive-thru or drive-up only. There is no dining in space. This is take out or pick up only. The salad comes in a nice big orange bowl with a high top, which gives you room to shake up your salad after you add the dressing. I've tried every salad on the menu with the dressing suggestions, and I've enjoyed every salad. After I tried them with the dressings suggested, I switched up the dressings, and the salads were still good. This place has a great bundle for $10, if you don't mind ordering your lunch when you get breakfast. Bundle: drink, breakfast wrap, and a salad. The salads are priced very economically. The portion size is perfect. Update: coffee is now being served.
On Friday, I tried the Cobb salad and it was SO GOOD. By Sunday (today), I was back to try the Antipasto salad, another DELICIOUS choice. I’m already planning my return to try the Greek salad next. The service was quick and easy; and the staff both visits were helpful and friendly! The lot looks clean and new. Great experience!
I love the idea of getting a salad on the go. They are very well served and the price is great. I ordered online, and it was ready in minutes. My new favorite place
HOLY SH...... I FOUND MY FAVORITE LUNCH SPOT. I never seen one of these. Apparently they have many other locations. I work all over Houston. I'm a Land Surveyor. Recently I've change my life style. From living healthier to eating healthier. Sometimes it's hard to eat healthy and being mobile. I spent what would be a normal small fast food lunch. But this is healthy. I plan on trying all the different salads they have. Oh they have a Mediterranean egg burrito that I will definitely ately try tomorrow morning. I won't even mind having to drive lto the closest location , where ever I will be. Great business idea. I love it.!!!!!!
We were very excited to see a new salad and go open, especially so close to the medical center and Rice University! Obviously, they serve a variety of salads in addition to some specialty drinks (lemonade, soda, tea) and wraps. You can add tofu, chicken, or steak to the salads. Service: We came after work (5pm) on a Thursday - there was no line and we were served very quickly. The employees were very kind and helpful. Food: We ordered a cucumber lime lemonade, autumn salad, and Cobb salad. The ingredients were great quality and the portions were huge, especially for the price (less than $7 per salad). The ratio of stuff in the salad was also great. We particularly enjoyed the roasted brussel sprouts in the autumn salad. The dressings (blue cheese and balsamic vinegrette) were solid but nothing particularly special. The cucumber lime lemonade was refreshing and tasted more like an agua Fresca. It tasted natural and there were bits of parsley and cucumber in it. It was also very inexpensive and worth it (like $1.50 for 24 Oz drink). Definitely give this place a try if you're craving a delicious salad served quickly at a great price. A good option for lunch or dinner on a workday.
Super delicious! The attendant that helped me was very helpful in explaining the menu since I had never tried the food before. Really affordable and fresh ingredients!
This is probably the best salad that I’ve had in a looooong time… and on top of all that you can’t beat the price. I can’t even remember the last time I bought something to eat and thought it was a good deal. 8/10 ****UPDATE*** So yesterday I was very happy about my service and food. So happy that I decided that I wanted to eat there again today. Consistency is a big thing with me. I stop by today to order THE EXACT SAME THING I had yesterday (creature of habit). I wanted the Cobb salad remove green onions and add cranberries. The employee told me that I couldn’t do that because the price of the cranberries were different. I was disappointed and decided I didn’t want it. I came home and looked at the website and I was able to substitute the onions for cranberries online… and even without an up charge because it wasn’t a premium topping. I would just like to recommend that the staff is trained properly to make sure no matter who’s there, the customer will experience the same level of customer service. I really wanted that salad!! Especially since I drove past Chick-fil-A to eat there.
I absolutely adored this spot. It is incredibly rare that you can find a healthy drive thru and this place nailed the brief. The cucumber mint lemonade was extremely fresh and the tofu wrap was full of vegetables and flavor. Hoping they bring these to Colorado soon!

I love Salad and Go and will be devastated if they ever decided to close this place or increase prices to match their competitor down the road. Affordable, convenient and delicious - both the drinks and the salads! The employees are very kind and brighten my day, which is an added bonus. My only gripe is that the tofu is pre-marinated in a sauce so it will always give the salad a bit of that flavor even if it contrasts with the rest of the salad. But that has nothing to do with this location and is more of a complaint on the corporate level.
The University location appeared closed for good today 8/5/2025. All signage have been removed. That's too bad. We enjoyed picking up a quick healthy lunch.
2024 update: Salads are not fresh anymore. I had been okay with finding rotting pieces of lettuce in my salads only because the breakfast, salad, and a drink bundle was $10. That bundle is now almost $14. The cost has increased to the cheapest salad being $8. 2023: I’ve been here twice and both times the lady at the drive-thru window was very friendly. I ordered pickup through their app the second time. I had a build your own salad with buffalo chicken for less than $7. I ordered two drinks, cucumber mint lemonade which was on the sweeter side(IMO) but still refreshing, and the cold brew coffee. I’ve had the cold brew coffee twice (a couple weeks apart) and both times asked for less ice to avoid it getting watered down, and I’ve decided that they need to improve their process. I’m not sure if the amount of cold brew coffee they add is minimal if you request milk as well or if the coffee itself needs improvement, but either way this is a good spot to improve on. Overall, I enjoyed the salad with buffalo chicken and the cucumber mint lemonade. I am making this my go-to healthier lunch option.

Was really looking forward to enjoying my wrapped Cesar salad till my avocado was old and lettuce was soggy. Seems like they gave me an old order. They did this last time to me as well at this same location. Won’t be coming to this one anymore.
Got this Cobb salad to go. It was definitely not fresh, I wasnt able to eat it because I didn’t want to get sick. The ranch package is about to pop, which means it sat out in a high temperature then put in the refrigerator again. I didn’t notice until I left, used the drive thru and went back to work. I should definitely get a refund. This is unacceptable for and not healthy.
First, I am a frequent salad and go customer at the spring green location in Katy and I’ve never had one issue. Jose at the University Blvd location the alleged manager, didn’t take accountability for the mistake that was made during my visit. The bag from the lettuce was found in my salad. Jose said he didn’t believe me because they check every order. Well Jose I don’t know how it happened either but the bag was in my salad. Mistakes happen but to not take accountability is awful.

Since they closed all the Houston locations, if you have a gift card good luck. I guess you can drive to another state or try to find a city where you can use it. Because they will not help you if you contact them. So in other words you just threw the money away. Update -per your customer support team there's nothing they can do to help you if you purchase gift cards even though the company chose to close the locations in your area. So in other words you're just out the money you've spent. Great way to do business. The closest place I can use is over 6 hours away that's very helpful.
NOTE TO EVERYONE: This location is permanently closed. Salad and Go, it seems, has hired a reputation management firm to handle their google reviews, and they continue to respond as if this location were open. I tried to inform them of this issue directly, but I don’t think a human is thinking critically (or at all) about any of this feedback. At a certain point, Salad and Go will stop paying for reputation management? Until then, telling them to take down this profile is like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.
