Laid back, strong drinks, fresh fish, generous portions, great customer service, clean, family friendly and affordable. Never disappoints. Had guest from central coast intoen and they wanted to go back for lunch the next day and we did. During our 2 visits we had ahi sandwiches, Mahi sandwiches, chiopinno, patty melts, house salads, bloody marys and pitchers of draft beers.

This is not a 5 star fancy restaurant but it is a great family restaurant, as casual as you would like it to be. I've been supporting this place since they were located in Costa Mesa and I remember sometimes it used to get so crowded but the family and I didn't mind ... it was part of the whole experience! My favorite dish used to be steak and lobster but nowadays a 22oz rib eye is my thing. You can't go wrong visiting this place, but keep in mind that if you like to be served at your table they don't offer that kind of service, you must wait in line to place your order and do the same at the bar for your drinks ... in my case "I don't mind that at all" . They have several TV monitors so you can enjoy sports and the place is big enough for you to enjoy your space. Huge parking lot in front of the restaurant is a good commodity specially if you are a numerous group. I'm assuming they will gladly take your phone call if you would like to get more acquainted with their menu. I gladly recommend Zubie's!!

This was my first time ever going here, and I loved it. Their menu is extensive. If you can't find something you like here, then you have some serious issues and should probably stay home for the rest of your life. They have everything from pizza and pasta, to burgers and steaks, to tacos of all types, to all kinds of seafood and other sandwiches. The menu is truly a bit of everything and their prices are reasonable for what you get. We were with quite a big party, and I was blown away at how fast our food was cooked and prepared. Their kitchen is ON POINT because they were packed on a Friday night at 6:30 pm. Their oysters were delicious, and the raw horseradish they have is EPIC. I'm 95% sure it is Atomic brand horseradish, but I forgot to ask. They've got a bunch of arcade games the kids can play while the adults enjoy some beverages, and they have a full bar so you can get whatever you want to drink. Keep up the great work Zubies! I will be back here next time I'm in the area FOR SURE!

We LOVE Zubies!! The only downside is that it can be too noisy. The food is great-the portions are huge and they really have the best house made ranch dressing 💛💚

Friday 8/22/25 Lunch at Zubie’s Dry Dock. Ordered the New York steak (medium), baked potatoes, Cajan corn, and garden salad. Delicious and a great price ($20). The restaurant decors are awesome. High vibration music were playing. Service staffs took your order by the counter and gave you a buzzing device. When it buzz, you go pick up your own foods. Love this place. It is a staple we go to almost weekly. Great food and good prices. The fish and chips are some of the best around. Prime rib night on thrs is not to be missed. We do miss the old salad bar of pre covid days. That would bring it back up to 5 stars since it used to be 5 stars.

Interesting local favorite, driven by it hundreds of times, but finally on a friend recommendation had lunch and it was pretty good. Miguel said Fish&Chips were the local favorite and cooked to order not premade. Fish hand battered dipped, fries fresh and choice of extra side included, $16.95. We enjoyed it very much and watched casual locals stream in for happy hour beer socials and a few bar singles that watch the many sports TVs. Plenty of dining area, very casual, order at counter, pickup when ready and enjoy. Music a bit loud, and dining area clean and tidy. Miguel very cordial to us "first timers" and his smile was warm.

Terrific value in the food and drinks, fairly nice staff keeping up with a constant crowd, and very good oysters. I enjoyed the surf & turf Saturday special for only $20! Great shrimp with a delicious sauce. I highly recommend this bar.

Martine has been here for 26 years The place off placentia is legend and long gone If you want lots of food, booze and atmosphere then by all means you need to come on down to orange county and hit this place up If you're looking for gourmet with whatever twist that might be then you're coming to the wrong place. The food is good but not fantastic by any means It's solid though and there's a ton of decisions to be made Take a closer look at the menus that I photographed for everyone's enlightenment Some staples in my eyes Cioppino Steamed Clams Fish and Chips and Oysters in many ways That's just a few choices on top of a great happy hour that's from 1 to 6 p.m. I've been coming here for years and as my palate is developed I seem to keep coming here from time to time to enjoy the portions and company that abounds here at Zubys

Very large portions! The fish and chips were pretty good. Pizza was good. Not so much on the fish sandwich- definitely don’t recommend. The atmosphere is fun but very loud. They needed more staff on a special event night, so it was extra slow. Overall I would not go just to go. We went for the kids.

I had the beef dip with grilled onions cheese and fries on the side. The sandwich was VERY LARGE easily enough for 2+ people. The meat was extremely salty and the cheese was some kind of white American also salty and crappy texture for this type of sandwich. Fries were fantastic!!

Like most people I don't usually write reviews but, today I was really disappointed! Dirty coffee cup, still stained with coffee on the rim and a really poor attitude from the young lady who took my order. This place is not what it used to be.

Got food poisoned here. A week back, I had an extremely clean breakfast, went surfing. Had a very clean lunch at around 11am. I had to drive to los angeles for work, on my way back around 730pm, it was too late to make anything - a pretty long gap, I stopped by for something simple (ny steak, potato, veg, salad). Shortly after just felt off and gross. For the next two days, I was nonstop throwing up, etc (no fever). Told a few friends, they probably said 'the salad'. Live a very clean life, perfect health. Something was off with with what I ate and had it narrowed down to this meal. Don't see how it could have been anything else.
