Love Ned's, best place in town for pizza and wings! This is our go to almost every Saturday 😁 daily specials and delicious food no matter what you order. Now I'm a girl from Buffalo, we know pizza & wings and this place passes the test!
Enjoyed the eggplant pizza so much, crust was the perfect bendyness. Chicken wings were a little dry but good. Salad was nicely done, will definitely order again
From the moment I walked in, I just knew from the smell I could tell it was a great pizza shop. The pizza was amazing and the salad was very fresh also. Great little shop and we are not from Ithaca but I'm sure if we are in the area again we will make a stop again @ Ned's Pizza 👍
Ned's Pizza is my favorite pizza place in Ithaca. Their variety is awesome and their pizza is always fresh and tasty with excellent ingredients. Their wings and calzones are amazing too! I have never been disappointed after ordering from Ned's.
Love Ned's pizza. Quality ingredients and a crust that is perfectly crispy. If you are in the area and looking for a quick lunch, they always have a great selection of slices at the ready. Ned and his crew keep the place under control over the busy lunch hours, and somehow manage to make us feel special each time we are there. Thanks!
It's the best Pizza in town, I have tried the salads too and I like em . Very friendly staff and always quick on your orders , you also will find good combo options which are light on your pocket. My friend is a vegetarian and he prefers this place to go out for lunch as he finds good options for him also. We have visited Ned's number of times and we are satisfied on our every visit ..
This place is incredible! I thought there would be food at the Ithaca Airport. Once I arrived my party realized there were no dining options. I quickly found Neds Pizza on google and placed an order for delivery. We only had a little over an hour till boarding. With 25 minutes to spare prior to boarding door dash hasn’t picked up the order to drive over to the airport. I called Neds to cancel my order as we were approaching boarding for our flight. Instead, Neds pizza quickly drove it over just in time to board my flight! Excellent pizza, outstanding service and highly recommend! Will be sure to visit when I’m back in the area!
Staffs always friendly and helpful, but the best part is the pizza, crispy crust and flavorful toppings always a recommended if your in the area
Best pizza I’ve ever had! We travel from Canada to come and eat here. The pizza is thin, crusty and just yummy. Best and top quality ingredients. The staff are super friendly and the vibe is always positive. Service is super fast too! Bbq Chicken wings are to die for btw! Definitely a hit! Love Ned’s pizza
The best pizza I have had in Upstate NY by far; thin and perfectly crispy! I have had the wings as well and they are very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The staff is always friendly and they have some combo specials that are a great deal. Ned's has quickly become a fast favorite!
We love Ned's. It's some of the best pizza in Ithaca (kind of a New Haven style pie) and has a delicious variety of specialty pizzas. The ownership is very friendly and involved in the community. Recently we had an issue with our order and Daniel was very accommodating - apologizing personally, comping some of our purchase, and feeding us individual slices while we waited for the order to be fixed. Would highly recommend!
I've had a lot of pizzas in California but I've never had one this good before. The crust was thin, crispy, light and airy. We ordered a 14" pizza and 15 wings in medium hot. But 1/3 of them were a little dry. I would take off one star for that but the pizza made up for it. My son and I figured we'll eat some at the restaurant then take the leftover back to his dorm....but the problem was there were no leftovers. :-)
Neds is my favorite pizza place in all of Ithaca. The people are always cool and give great service. I am a regular and always come for there lunch slices. I Absolutely would recommend Ned’s.
Love their pizza. It's only gotten better since they opened. Doesn't feel like I'm eating 1000 calories in cheese ;) Not greasy at all; good crust (on the thinner side, which I prefer).
Check this out, it's delicious!!! I'm in town for a few weeks on a job, and I didn't want pizza hut right next to my hotel,. So I figured I'd try Ned's.. I love new your style pizzas. Well worth it!... This one is a white garlic, with well hold on and follow me on this one,. It has Pepperoni', sausage, ham, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, broccoli, tomatoes, and banana peppers... Very, very, freaking delicious!!. I give 6 out of 5!
Best pizza in the Ithaca area. Nestled in a tiny business plaza it is not much of a place. But, the pizza is amazingly delicious. The Family run staff are so nice and welcoming. You.truly feel like you've known them for a while. Best pizza. Period
I have ordered from Ned's a handful of times recently and the pizza has always been good. Switched up from my normal order, to Buffalo chicken pizza and it far exceeded my expectations! I will definitely be getting it again.
Hubby and I were exhausted after being out all day so decided pizza and wings in our room for dinner was the answer. Ned's had great reviews so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. The pizza was tasty and perfect. The wings crispy and perfect. We will do Ned's again when back in the area.
A GEM of a pizza place. One of the types of places that has a bunch of pizza’s made, and then they heat the slices up for you. Prices are incredible, daily special is 2 slices of the various pizzas, plus a fountain drink, for only $7! Even cheaper if you just get cheese. Besides the great price, the pizza was DELICIOUS. We tried bbq chicken, chicken bacon ranch, pepperoni, and margarita. The crust was all light and delicious, and the toppings were really good and high quality. We were nervous at first when we saw the chicken was “chunks of chicken” we thought “oh gross… the nasty canned kind with mystery meat.” We were wrong… it was really good white meat chicken, perfectly distributed. The sauces on top (ranch and bbq) were also evenly distributed so you had some in every bite. There were a ton of locals and blue collar workers coming in for lunch, you could tell it’s a spot loved by the community. They need to charge more, it’s cheap AND really really good.
Have been coming to Ned's for over 4 years. My kid is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts (cashews, pistachios, hazelnuts, almonds). Ned's is a completely nut-free place and there have been no issues so far. I am very thankful to them for being considerate about these allergies!
Just moved to the area from Iowa and googled pizza places near me, leading me to Neds. Very friendly and personable, talked with the owner while my pizza slices were getting cooked. The pizza was great, the crust had the perfect amount of crisp. This will become my go to pizza place!
Outstanding thin crust pizza! Several to choose slices from or order your own specialty pie. Wings and subs are also available but I haven't had those - yet. Ned is very entertaining and a superb salesman.
Excellent Pizza, large selection, friendly service & great prices. Ned's is definitely a go to place to eat in, take out, delivery, etc. They'll also make your Pizza for you to take home & bake yourself. You can also purchase any/all that's needed to make your own Pizza at home. If you haven't already eaten Ned's Pizza, it's definitely a must go to/eat at....you WON'T regret it.
I had known Ned since he was in downtown Ithaca when he first opened. It's STILL the best pizza in town! Tonight I got half Hawaiian and half eggplant parm. It's just as good as it ever was...the new owners..whoever they are... are doing right by Ned!🥰❤🍕
Ned’s is the best! Best pizza place in all of Ithaca. Try their Margarita pizza. Wings are excellent. I routinely buy pizza dough from them to make pizza at home too. The folks who work there are very friendly and we’re on a first name basis after years of being a customer. Very glad to have Ned’s in the neighborhood!
Ned’s pizza is the best!! I recently placed two large pizza orders for events at Cornell and they were delicious and such a big hit with the students! The team is super helpful, responsive and accommodating! Highly recommend and will definitely be back the next time I’m in Ithaca!
Pizza was delicious. Web ordered for take out. It was hot and ready when I showed up. No nonsense New York style pizza. Recommend
I stopped by on a Friday evening. Clearly, an exhausting time for a pizza place in a college town. But these workers were very positive and considerate in taking care of their customers. Plus the food is solidly tasty. Classic pizza. Thanks, all at Ned's!
One of the ovens were down. When we ordered you could tell they were implying they didn't want us to order. But we had heard great things and we were in no hurry. So glad we went as the pizza was amazing.
Pizza is incredible. The owners and staff are all super kind and accommodating. They are always busy but make sure you are tended to quickly. Cannot recommend enough
The workers at Ned's are easily some of the nicest people you can interact with. They're 100% accommodating all of the time, and they go out of their way to make customers feel welcome. They know people by name, know repeat orders, and always have a smile on their faces.. Oh, and the food is SPECTACULAR! The slices and knots never miss, and their fries are consistently crunchy and fresh. Love these guys!!!
Pros: I have been here a couple times and I have to say I really enjoy going when I can. They get you in and they get you out of the way. I mean that in a good way. You pick your slices or a whole pie and they stick it in the oven and it comes out crispy at the bottom with a crispy crust 😋 I'm big on customer service as well and they were nice all while being friendly as they moved to the next customer. Cons: There were pizza boxes out where the customers were. I understand about space so I give it a pass. Also the tables were not clean....but again I believe they were just busy and didn't get a chance to clean them. I didn't complain I just cleaned the table off and my husband and I enjoyed our pizza date💗 Only reason I gave a con this time is because I know people that are very particular about where they eat and this is something that would have bother them. But if you are willing to look past it you'll enjoy some great pizza. Ned's is definitely worth the stop for a slice or two.
Top notch pizza and super friendly staff 👌
So, I had an event that I was getting food for it last minute and let me just say that, from a business standpoint, the service I received was second to none. I ordered a massive amount of food with only an hour before I needed to pick it up and they handled it amazingly. I walked in to pick up, was greeted kindly and immediately given the food I ordered, and the staff even walked the food to my car and helped make sure it was all stable for the drive back to my office. This event could've been a major flop, but with their extremely professional and timely help it was a major success! Thank you!
Great pizza and service for a fair price. I had 2 meaty slices and they had the perfect flavor, size, thickness and crunch that you would expect from a good NY pizzeria. Visiting upstate NY is a little better, knowing this pizza place exists! I look forward to coming back again soon.
I love this place alotttt!! This is the best pizza I've ever tasted!!! The workers are SUPER nice 🤩 I never really liked pizza but when i tried this pizza!!!! I fell in loveeee with this pizzaaa!!
My partner and I were recommended this lovely place a few months back, and they never fail to leave us more than satisfied! Being originally from Brooklyn, I know good pizza, & this establishment is the best pizzeria in at least 100 miles radius, probably more. If you’re on the fence about trying this pizza joint for the first time, take this as your sign to go for it. Best Pizza in the region.
So right off the bat this pizza passed the flop test. Crust is A+. Perfect amount of toppings. Some of the best pizza in Ithaca. Wings are cooked to perfection. Only complaint I have is more sauce on the wings but that's just personal preference. I'd get an extra sauce when ordering wings.
Ned's is the priciest pizza place in the area and they are worth every penny. The crust is thin and crispy like a good NY pie should be. Sauces and ingredients are fresh and delicious. The buffalo chicken pie is one of their best. Slice prices if you're not looking for a whole pie are reasonable, two slices and a drink around $11 with tax which again isn't cheap but it's worth it.
Wow! My first time at Ned's was today. Had a slice of plain cheese pizza. Outstanding! The crust was light and exactly the right firmness - chewy in spots (where it was perfect) and crispy in spots (where it was also perfect). Since I moved to Ithaca, I'd believed good pizza did not live here. Now I know where to get it, and I can't wait to get a whole pie. I'm dreaming of the next bite. I've enjoyed great pizza in NYC and in Italy. Now I'm pleased I can add Ned's to the list. Thank you for being so good - and nice, as well.
Visiting for the weekend, we were looking for a good mom & pop pizza shop and was VERY happy we stumbled upon Ned's Pizza in Ithaca. They had a variety of gourmet flavors to choose from but what stands out the most is how delicious it was. I mean, it was the BEST pizza I had in at least 25 years ... no joke, and I just had a plain slice. The service was impeccable. Would 110% recommend Ned's Pizza to anyone.
One of the best pizza stops around the Ithaca area. Pizza is always delicious and their wings are cooked to a crisp. The online ordering system on their website makes ordering a breeze! Have ate here many times since moving to the area and will continue going back!
Love the chicken bacon ranch pizza!
The best pizza EVER!!! The place was packed but the atmosphere was god and the service was impeccable!!! Thanks Neds 🍕😁🍕😁🍕😁🍕😁
We've been ordering from them for over a year now. Good, solid pizza. Even when the place is jammed, there's rarely a delay. I was motivated to write this review because they threw in a bonus order of mozzarella sticks. :)
Best pizza in Ithaca. I don’t go anywhere else!
I can’t find a great place in Ithaca for pizza, but this is perfect. Every time I go in, I feel good. The pizza smells great And they even sell Lebanese food! Five stars all week
Excellent lunch and our go-to spot for pizza and wings in Ithaca. The thin-crust pizza has a perfectly crunchy texture and holds up well under the toppings. We ordered pepperoni, chicken bacon ranch, plain cheese, and buffalo—each one was flavorful and well balanced. The pepperoni was classic and savory, the chicken bacon ranch was rich and satisfying, and the buffalo pizza had just the right amount of heat. The wings were equally solid and paired perfectly with the pizza. Consistently great quality and taste—highly recommended.
Delicious pizza and very friendly staff! Also a great and easy location for all of Ithaca!
The new owner Philip is great, same level of service as Ned. I ordered 5 large pizzas through their AI order taker and wanted delivery but it was very confusing to understand what was going on with the order. I told AI I wanted delivery, it said okay and it would get delivery details later after I placed my order, I placed the order, gave my credit card but never got a prompt to enter a delivery location, and the AI said thank you and goodbye. I am not sure what happened, but I don't recommend using the AI order system. They don't have their own delivery drivers, so you have to use one of the apps for delivery I believe. Phillip made sure my order was delivered on time and hot, and spent a lot of time with me making sure I was satisfied. Same great pizza, same great service.
Today, I went with my professor and a few colleagues here after a workshop at Cornell University. The food was delicious! I also liked the garlic knots in particular. They were very garlicky and I loved that! Also, the gentleman who took care of us was very kind to us! I definitely recommend that place if you're ever in the Ithaca area! 😁
I’ve worked next to Ned’s for the past 6 months, and almost every single day I come over for lunch. They never fail to greet me with a smile and deliver top notch service. Since becoming a regular, the guys have really taken the time to make sure that i am taken care of. Not to mention, they have a lot of options on their menu so I never run out of things to order. The food is delicious, always made with love, and FRESH! I will continue to recommend Ned’s to anyone looking for a sweet spot to eat <3 edit: wanted to add to this since i tried the falafel (absolutely DELICIOUS) they are really great at mastering all flavor profiles. whatever you are looking for, they’ve got.
Love this place! great service and great pizza. Phil and his staff always keep the place clean and working smoothly. I'm willing to drive all the way from cortland just for this pizza
You guys usually get things right and do a great job. But this time our pizza was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! I can’t stress enough how amazing it was and our whole family made the same comments. It was THE BEST pizza we’ve ever had. Seriously, good job guys! Our family moved to Ithaca in December 2024 and have made it our mission to try every local pizza place to find our favorite. Well, admittedly we keep coming back to Ned’s and it has become our official family favorite. So much so that we order almost weekly now! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming (even when you guys are slammed busy), and we really appreciate them. Not sure who was working last night and made our 2 pizzas, but wow! Fantastic job team!! Thanks again for another great Ned’s Pizza night! See ya next week for sure! (Copy/Paste from message I sent to Ned’s on 7/27/25.)
We order chicken bacon ranch pizza, and 10 golden BBQ wings, and I will say this confidently this pizza is the best pizza I've had hands down! Neds pizza is amazing 😍 and the wings were cooked to perfection! Can't wait to come back for more.
Friendly handsome staff! Wonderful delicious food! They even made a brand new pizza just for me to have a slice because they didn't have the eggplant Parmesan that I love so much!! Thanks guys! One of my favorite haunts in Ithaca New York. A fresh baked pie from Ned's cannot be beat. Do yourself a favor grab a slice or a whole pie right now.🍕❤
I thought the pizza was great, my wife not so much. Atmosphere was not-so-much -- there were only 6 tables, and 3 of those had pizza boxes piled high on them. A fourth had photography gear spread out on top. That left 2 tables to sit at. I'd go back. I don't think my wife would . . .
In last 3 years I am ordering pizza from them usually it is good and satisfying. As a regular customer I observed the minor but constant decrease on the quality of the pizza. If this resumes I have to find better option.
We stopped in on our way through town. The wings were great! The pizza was good too. They have a lot of toppings to choose from. We ate there and as they were cooking or pizza they asked how much we like the crust cooked, which was really nice!
The pizza's great, for sure. The crowds during lunch time and on the weekends speak to the quality of the stuff. Check to make sure your bill is accurate especially around lunch time when it's busy. This is probably one of the best pizza places in the area, so if you can overlook the quirks of the owner (and check to make sure you know what and how much you're paying for) it's a go-to place for pizza.
We love Ned's Pizza! My 5 year old that doesn't eat pizza, will eat Neds pizza, if that tells you anything. It's worth the money, the wait, the drive, whatever time it takes. Though a little expensive, still worth it.
The service was incredibly friendly. I got an order of wings and they were passable but a far stretch from the best wings I've ever had. They were hot enough in temperature but definitely had no crispy texture like I desire. And I even told the guy, "can I get them extra crispy?". The Golden BBQ sauce was excellent and the size of the wings were fair. They weren't pigeon wings but they weren't necessarily huge either. This is my lesson not to get wings there in the future. The pizza look very scrumptious though. So next time I'll just get a slice or two. Overall not an awful experience. I would go again for sure. It's in a decent location and as I mentioned the staff was super friendly which is a big plus.
Food is fantastic just only issue I have is they screwed up my delivery order three times in a row. 2 x's sent different two liter of soda than I ordered and this last time got two pizzas, wings and soda. Soda was correct but never got my wings. They were great and refunded my money asap but really wanted to eat some wings. Food is fantastic just delivery is always messed up.
We've ordered pizza regularly from Ned's for the past two years, and usually we've been pretty satisfied. The pizza is high quality and stays well in the fridge. That being said, we ordered two custom pies last night and can't reconcile the price we paid with the pizza we received. We spent $65 on two pizzas, and the toppings/overall quality made $65 seem problematic. if you're gonna spend $65 on two pizzas, there should be a ton of toppings, and there just aren't. We also ordered extra cheese, which was absolutely not provided. Added some Wegmans alfredo sauce to make the pizza more flavorful the following day...
Nice place to grab a quick lunch. The owner runs the front end and he's a live wire. Very entertaining to watch him greet customers who really just seem like friends. The owner once gave me a free slice of pizza while I waited for my order to come up. When people take care of you, you take care of them.
The pizza is really good, but outside of one person there most of the people who work there are just rude. AND, on a pickup order for 5 pies they forgot to give the driver 2 of them. They didn't do a darn thing for me. And we order almost weekly from them. It is evident that they don't care about retaining customers.
I have always loved their pizza. An old employer would religiously order us pizza from here. However, my last and first experience ordering on my own was the opposite. The pizza wasn’t done when I arrived because it was burnt and had to be made again. Okay I’ll wait no worries. I didn’t know the other pizza I ordered was already done and waiting. By the time I took it back to my office to share with my colleagues it was very cold. I suppose I could have asked if they meant both pizzas were burnt? I was just disappointed because I bragged about this pizza to everyone. Unrelated to my order comment, the employee working did not switch out their gloves the whole time I was there. I watched as this person grabbed pizza slices for different customers and pull them out the oven and collect their method of payment. This all happened with the same rubber black gloves. Pandemic or not, it makes me feel uneasy. Sometimes we get so busy with work and without knowing neglect necessary measures. I would order again, but it would be some time and I’ll just pay for delivery,
Ned's is pretty good, but they are inconsistent on their quality as of late and they don't do a good job keeping pizza warm if it comes out of the oven before you get there. The last pizzas we got were good, but the time before that, the crust was so thin and undercooked in the middle that the slices just flopped over and dropped all their toppings when we picked them up. So, they need to work on quality control. I have also gotten there a few times to see my pizza in a rack next to the oven just getting cold. I got there when I was told, but I suppose it came out earlier than expected. Sometimes Ned will also put pizzas in boxes and then get distracted dealing with another customer, so they spend a lot of time just sitting out before you get them home. Even though I live 2-3 minutes away, I almost always have to throw my slices in the toaster oven for 10 minutes to get them hot again.
The food is fine but the wait time for your pizza is horrible. By the time it takes you to wait for your pie, you could've drove to Papa John's or domino's on the other side of town and get yout order, then drive home. Yes it's that long. Instead of expending into collegetown, maybe adding an extra oven into the Hanshaw rd location would help sales by giving customers their pie on time.
Arrived 10-minutes earlier than the pizza was due. I ordered extra cheese, mushrooms, and tomatoes. The tomatoes were excellent but, that is about it. 10-minutes early and, it was already cold. Had to cook at 350 for twenty minutes but never tasted fresh with cheese flavor on the light side. A neighbor fresh in town asked me to recommend some good pizza. Was hoping Ned's would be it but, sorry can't put my name on this pizza parlor.
Ok, so what happened? So many reviews on here saying “best pizza I ever had”. I’m confused the pizza I just had… literally the worst. Seriously the worst. Well it’s close but still the worst. Here is my order: 18” inch buffalo chicken pizza 20 “spicy” buffalo chicken wings (I know, a lot of buffalo chicken) This order was delivered with the chicken wings hot and the pizza room temp. We dove into the chicken wings, they were cooked very well with a crispy exterior and succulent juicy inside. But they were not spicy and nearly had no sauce on them. Next the pizza… basically cold, pretty much no chicken, and the crust was like cardboard. Thinnest pizza. We had to dip it in blue cheese to be edible. All in all I spent $70… not worth it. Giving it a generous 1.7 out of 5
Haven't been impressed with the portions on the pizza for quite some time. I usually go for the Buffalo Chicken with a cup of ranch on the side but there's hardly any chicken on it. Today they didn't have Buffalo Chicken available for slices so I got the Tomato & Feta and I dont think they could have possibly sliced the tomatoes any thinner.. tomatoes cost what $0.30/ tomato?
was my go to place, then they implemented an ai ordering system which i used to set up a pick up. it required paying up front, I read the computer my card it said ok pick up in 30 minutes. looked at my phone 30 minutes later and I had gotten a text to "finish the order" which was just manually entering a credit card. at this point my wife called and said they don't have a record of me ordering. duh. this would all be forgiveable, except they were VERY hostile and rude about the whole thing with my wife. have ordered 2 pies once a month for years and will not be going back due to the unnecessary hostility. also get rid of the ai, took forever and didn't even get it right.
I love Ned’s, usually. But today I ordered online, a small cheese pizza. The time was an hour out (revealed after the order was placed) and my lunch is only an hour. I called and they said they were very busy so I waited the hour. My pizza came with pepperoni and when I brought it to their attention they said they could fix it in 15-20 minutes but I was already late returning to work. They offered a free drink but Im unimpressed that after waiting a whole hour for the smallest pizza, it was wrong. Boo Ned’s, come on now.
I've been buying pizza here for nearly 20 years. But no more. Since Ned stepped back, the pizza quality has gone down noticeably, though it's still better than most other pizza places around. The biggest problem nowadays seems to be dishonesty. I've been overcharged by a couple of bucks the last 3 times I've placed an order. One or two times, mistakes happen, but 3 times in a row looks like the current staff have a systematic overcharge scheme in place.
Was hoping my pizza was going to be good! Was my first time ordering and the reviews are really. Was ICE COLD thanks a lot!!! When You pay 7.99 just for delivery your food should at least be hot. I'm at work and I forgot my dinner that is why I had to order!
4 Out of towners. Went based on reviews. Stood there near counter over 5 minutes, got some weird looks as if we were an irritation. Backed up a little to check menu...it's above counter on wall overhang... No hi... no, would you like to order... can we help you, nothing. Just looks as if they were aggravated we were there. Took the hint and left. Went to Ciao's instead. Great decision. Food was awesome, service was fast and friendly, pizza and pasta were great. Spent well over 100$. Would have done the same with you guys, but guess you don't need the revenue.
I went to this place to try it out because of the good reviews. I ordered 2 pizza slices. The guy who served me with super irritated and treated me like if I am begging. I was asking about different types of pizza and the guy was barely talking to me. I don’t know if he has a bad day or he treats everyone like this. The pizza slices were good but I won’t go there again though the place is next door to my work place.
Well.... last week I had a medium size pizza which was 17.99, he told me it was 19.50 with tax so I paid with card. It was 20.18 with auto gratuity. After coming home my roommate and I was talking about the auto gratuity while eating the pizza. We both then realize that pizza should not be $19.50. $17.99+ 8% tax should not be 19.50. This week I went there again to make sure they told me the right price because I thought last week they made a mistake. I ordered one small size pizza which was $14.99. When I was ready to pay the guy told me it was $16.50. Again 14.99 +8% tax doesn’t come up $16.50. I Decided to pay cash so I can get a itemized receipt. After finish paying I asked for a receipt but unfortunately they guy refused to give a receipt. I asked him couple of time but he refused so I left. This is how they will treat you in this pandemic. I wasn’t worry about couple of cents it is about principle. I felt CHEATED there and won’t come back also won’t recommend anyone that I know.
We ordered pizza for a business meeting. This was ordered 3 hours in advance for delivery. The pizza never arrived. Called three times and got three different answers. Its right around the corner and will be there at any moment, I have no order for you are you sure you placed it with us, I gave it to the driver personally... Bottom line, no pizza. Update: The pizza arrived an hour late.
REVIEW RESPONSE BY BUSINESS: This business does NOT have any pictures on doordash AND it does NOT list any ingredients on the pizza via Doordash. Business lies. Working with BBB to get refund. Business refuses to do service recovery and instead publicly lies to their customers. Huge L on the pizza. Ordered a classic Margherita pizza. On doordash, that's how it's listed, no mention of the fact its not actually a margherita pizza. What I got delivered is a pizza with white sauce and only full tomato slices on it (Ricotta cheese? Completely wrong. basil flakes? Thats also wrong). Google it: A Margherita pizza is defined as a pizza with red sauce, mozarella cheese, and fresh basil (3 colors of italian flag). It's definitely the worst pizza I have had and false advertising because, by definition, I did not get a Margherita pizza. $20 down the drain. I love Margherita pizza, but it was so gross I could only eat 2 slices. The other 6 went to the garbage. I better be getting a refund, as legally I am expected to get one. Hopefully they don't put ricotta and white sauce on their pepperoni pizza. They probably do.
After searching online for pizza by the slice near me, I chose Ned's and drove 12 miles only to be greeted with "We are closed because I have an order for 14 pizza's that I have to work on." Even after telling the owner that I drove 12 miles to get there after a Google search, he gives me a blank stare and says "We're closed". If you are going to "be closed" during normal hours, then you better jump onto your website and change your status to "closed"!!! How rude to allow this to happen! I wasn't offered any alternative such as a complimentary ready made salad, etc. Nothing! Not even a suggestion to a competitive pizza parlor. The floors looked dirty and the tables were a mess. I still can't believe the owner didn't care one iota that I drove 12 miles to find his place and treated me like a piece of dirt! Obviously he has never read Dale Carnegie's book How to Win Friends and Influence People!
... they brought an extra large veggie pizza for my family sitting outside Ned's Pizza in just a few minutes??!! ...it tasted like an old pizza after warming up?! The outside of the pizza was hot but inside warm!!!!!!!! all veggies and bread on the surface and bottom were burned and tomato sauce between bread and veggies was mushy… the bread burning pattern was similar to one after multiple warming up actions!.... veggie-like material slid and fell on the table when we tried to eat it because the tomato-like unbaked material inside has just started to be warmed up and “a tinny” cheese layer could not keep them together …my small kid frustrated of trying very hard to bite that thing started to cry ….the unbaked juicy cold tomato sauce plus veggie-like material were all over his shirt, pant and table ... that was an amazingly educational model and example of real “LANDSLIDE” disasters in nature for my kids !!:-) then I decided to go home and order pizza for my kids from a different place …so I asked them to give me a box to take that thing home … I was hoping I could myself eat the rest of that phenomenon later with wooden sticks or spoon and fork?!! :-) of course when I would re-gain my appetite and feel really hungry :-) then an elderly guy brought us a small box for that large broken pizza into pieces!! He tried very hard to pack all of pieces into a small box?!! Sometimes some pieces of that pizza fell on the table but he could successfully recovered them with his bared hand…my family were staring at him because they had never seen such an operation on their food material... After a few minutes of his hard working, he finally packed all the recoverable pieces (except pieces on the floor_thanks for that) but the main problem was closing the box!!! he started to push them with his bare hand but the tomato-like material was too mushy and fluidly…so he flipped a big bread piece on top of those things and safely pushed them down and at the same time he quickly closed the box with his other hand... …though we were upset and angry that evening, …but sometime my family try to pretend and play that old guy behavior with our food when we are on the dinner table which is always followed with a lot of laughter and happy moments :-) We pass pizza Ned every night and still laugh about that unorthodox food experience :-) …that night, I took a picture of the box to send it to Ned by email, but a guy on the phone did not give me Ned’s email address.
Unfortunately very disappointed take out experience. A $20+ chicken parm pizza was very poor / sprinkling of chicken. Greek salad and Caesar salad had wrong dressings. Spending $90 on pizza night should be much better.
Food is alright. But the service and atmosphere was terrible. Employees are so concerned about getting pizza in and out of the oven they have no regard of hospitality. As soon as you walk in you feel like your being rushed out the door I called to ask if they had any specials employee didnt hear me so I repeated myself. He then proceeded to tell me to hang on with an attitude sets the phone down and continues to complain about my simple question to the other employees. He said and I quote " really come on your going ask me about specials right now". It's very simple question and for your employee to not be able to answer me and then proceed to talk trash about me is beyond unprofessional. I'm speechless if you can't handle a simple question and multi task while still having a positive attitude towards your customers maybe you should find a new profession
Pizza was, 1/2 the way baked(?). Near tasteless sauce, and very obviously pre shredded cheese with so much anti-clumping agent in it that it tasted like paste. I'm a bit of a pizza snob, so maybe this is harsh, but never again
it was terrible with delivery service , even though waited 2 hour ,i couldn't get my order. Ned's pizza wasn't concern for that.
This restaurant has really went downhill since Ned departed. Service, quality, and employees demeanor suffered considerably! Ordered a Buffalo Chicken salad for $9.00 and got a handful of iceberg lettuce, some Parmesan cheese and about 6-8 small pieces of chicken. Ned’s we learned our lesson for sure! And tell the employees about washing their hands and wearing gloves when handling the food, I believe it’s a health department regulation. I believe, but I will ask when I make my point to them..
I ordered through their website for delivery; I waited over hours for the delivery. It never got delivered, so I called the restaurant about the delivery; they told me I have to call the delivery service to figure it out. I felt like they didn’t want to help with my problem.
The staff at this location were extremely rude and unprofessional, which was really disappointing. I’m not sure what the cultural norms are for the employees here, but when it’s obvious from basic social cues that customers are frustrated about waiting over 20 minutes for slices, responding by insulting someone’s character and calling them rude or angry is unacceptable. That’s not how you run a business or earn repeat customers. For the record, I was never confrontational or disrespectful, yet somehow the staff treated me like I had done something wrong. I won’t be coming back to this location. Honestly, maybe the poor customer service here is part of the reason the collegetown location shut down. Pizza and Bones is only a mile away, and their service and attitudes are so much better. And if they respond to this review by trying to dismiss what I’m saying or claim I’m wrong, well, that seems to be their pattern. Just look at all the other similar reviews they’ve already received—maybe the common denominator isn’t the customers.
