Our dog Fritz lost the use of his back legs and our vet couldn't help. He recommended Cornell. Long story short the talented Doctors removed a tumor pushing on Fritz's spinal cord. Fritz went through their Therapy Boot Camp , highly recommended, and now going through water treadmill sessions. Fritz is doing fantastic and is starting to walk and play with his sister
Cornell Internal Medicine has truly changed our life. Every time we visited we felt so welcomed and listened to. Even today, in the midst of the busiest I have ever seen the lobby and during the holiday season when everyone is so busy, Megan went above and beyond to make Denver feel welcomed and was so kind to us. Thank you so much to everyone who has cared for Denver
On Memorial Day 2018 past midnight, our dog’s stomach flipped. Cornell was the only place that was open and had a surgeon on call. We drove 2 hours after getting him stabilized in Syracuse for the trip. They were waiting at the doors upon his arrival to rush him into surgery, facing a 50% chance of survival. We are eternally grateful to the surgeons, doctors and techs who saved our boy’s life. Thank you so much.
We can’t say enough good things about Dr. Lawyer and her assistant Simone! They have extraordinary communication during the entire process. We brought Tyson in for an MRI due to pain and limping and he was diagnosed with IVDD and had him in for surgery the next day. Tyson is only 3 years old and came in feeling extremely unwell and left just like the puppy we remember him like! We are so grateful both of my kids cried before even exiting the front doors with him they were so happy to have him be back with us. Thank you Cornell University for everything!
My 2 year old German wirehaired pointer presented for intermittent lameness to Cornell after radiographs and rest/pain meds yielded no results. The sports medicine department with Dr.Frye, Dr.Alison, and technicians Angel and Olivia did everything they could to get Griffin and I an answer which they concluded to be triceps tendonopathy. With a lot of rest and underwater treadmill and the help of the sports med team, after months on end of rest and short leash walks, Griffin is doing very well now. Without their dedication to his well being and persistency to determine the problem and formulate a treatment plan, Griffin would most likely not be very far in his recovery. I can’t thank the sports medicine team enough for their help. I would recommend them to anyone I know.
There are not enough kind words in the English language to than Angie and her team that handle veterinary nutrition. Our dog was diagnosed with kidney disease and pancreatitis. The diet for each of these issues is opposite of each other. Out vet recommended we reach out to Cornell's Vet Nutrition Department. The progression of our pup's kidney disease has been slowed significantly and the pancreas issues under control thanks to their wonderful team who crafted a diet for our dog. To give an idea we were advised the average lifespan after diagnosis is 1 year. We are at almost 2 and a half years since diagnosis. Angie is so responsive, helpful and the diet has been wonderful. We are eternally grateful for the quality of life and the gift of time with our beloved pet that Angie has helped to create.
New modern building. Opened in 2019 I think? Cool cafe inside
Our farm recently had multiple animals go down and the local equine center was unable to figure out what was going on we were advised to bring our animals up to Cornell. Although they were unable to save them they provided exceptional medical care as well as bedside manner during our difficult times. They have been dedicated to testing and researching to get to the bottom of our care and have been excellent with communicating steps to us. In an emergency situation we now plan to bring our animals straight to Cornell.
My pup was limping so I knew he had to go to Cornell! Nothing was found by my regular vets so off we went! Cornell has been my go to with now my 3rd dog. I have been to internal medicine, neurology, orthopedics, 2 dogs had MRIs, Ophthalmology, and just recently in through sports medicine. Each time, the issue was found and dealt with. Or once I was told there is nothing wrong when a local specialist had said torn ccl! No, Cornell found it was not! I can not say enough about the excellent Care my pets have always received at Cornell over the years! Excellent and caring staff! I will always go back to Cornell with a problem my vet can’t figure out. Thank goodness they also have an emergency clinic you can go through if need be as well!
I’m so thankful that I found this emergency vet. 2 er trips over the weekend. While everyone’s pets emergencies are different and pricing can vary, I think they are very fair. The first er I took my dog to wanted double for the testing of what I paid here for everything they did. I left the first place feeling terrible because I didn’t have enough for testing. No one expects to have this happen to them, I’m just glad that they were here to help. I think my dog received excellent care here, and would go back in the event I ever needed to. He had some Gi issues and pain in his abdomen.
Last spring my 4-year-old dog couldn't walk because she had an accident when running when she tripped on a stick and her feet went behind her and she herniated a few discs in her spine. I brought her to Cornell and we were told that she had a 80% chance of walking again but that she would never run again. Surgery went as expected and I picked up Allie as expected as well. Everyone was so nice and informative. They sent me home with physical therapy to do with her over the course of the next month or two. They were wrong on her chances of walking and running again. Which is a huge huge blessing and not anything we are unhappy about! She not only can walk but she can run just as fast as she used to. Honestly you wouldn't even know she had back surgery a year ago. I am so happy with her progress and the care that we were given at cornell. Nothing but great things to say! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you're not only save my dog's life, but you saved her from paralysis! 😍😍😍
best exotics vet around. Can not recommend enough, prices are good for care delivered. everyone on the phone has always been very kind and prices have been explained well in advance.
I've had quite a few trips here over the years when my pets have had medical issues or emergencies. I've always been happy with their competence and professionalism, and I know my pets are getting the best care possible. Even at the times when the outcome hasn't been good, it was obvious that they had done everything they could, and they handled everything well.
Excellent care given to our yorkie Fred. They deserve more than 5 stars! Highly recommend!
One of the nicest controlled buildings on Cornell campus. Spacious, well lit classrooms and common areas. Has a great Cornell dining outlet with good meal options.
Guinea pig just died and their emergency department tried to save him. Lobby full of people but the staff came right out to try and save Twix. RIP 💔
It's a fine building but the food place closes at like 2 pm and there are no other places close by to get food. *Update: The new cafeteria finally opened which serves hot meals from 7:30 am until 2 pm, at which point it only sells snacks and packaged sandwich-like items.
I understand that Vet care is expensive but I feel that this place is more focused on the mighty dollar than actually caring about animals. They take advantage of desperate, emotional pet owners and people are left with having to euthanize pers that could be saved because they don’t have access to thousands of dollars immediately. It’s just sad.
Don't bother getting on their wait list. They'll call you 6 months later, by that time your dog's other leg will be blown out. Not worth the $1000 discount.
Called to make an appointment and ask a few questions about my animal, the lady who picked up the phone didnt seem to have a care in the world. As soon as i questioned the price of the check up she simply said mmm ok and hung up. Cornell... you should look into hiring personable people to answer your phones.
