A wonderful local coffee spot. Large menu and high quality coffee. Recently expanded their indoor space and have lots of warm seating to enjoy. Large selection of coffee beans to take home. Bakery and some warm lunch foods like sandwiches. Great place to stop when getting off the trails!

Coffee and food are top notch - locally roasted for many options too! The atmosphere is casual chic - definitely a place to hang out and enjoy a quick "coffee shop breakfast" or meet for a business lunch. We always seem to be here during the Chequamegon 40 - and can confirm they are BUSY at those times but they seem to handle it very well and we have never gotten frustrated with wait times. Servers are always friendly even under busy times. Highly recommend including this business in your your if you visit!

The place had a very interesting interior decor. The coffee varieties were excellent. They also had some some unique baked goods, both sweet and sandwich style. Well worth the visit. I had the Kolache Ham Egg and Cheese hot sandwich. It was quite tasty. They had some interesting seating areas inside.

A delightful coffee and snack shop, stopped en route and was glad we did. It’s clean and the staff friendly, they have WiFi too. Staff are friendly and they bake fresh on site. Definitely worth a try.

Our party of 7 was delighted by the ambiance of this coffee shop! The shop boasted beautiful baked goods & gluten free options separate from the gluten filled options, which as ceileac I appreciate. Beverages to accommodate a variety of dietary needs: sugar free, caffeine free, dairy free, etc. I'd give them 5 stars for clean, cute, delicious and kind. Even during a busy time the staff worked diligently with peace & kindness, which we don't always get in our big city coffee shops. Upon leaving I spoke with a Hayward local who was enjoying her beverage at the outside seating & she gave a raving review of this wonderful shop & the history in Hayward. This is a must try! I'll have to add it to another of my Google lists, so I visit again!

Super cute and busy coffee shop with great pastries and coffee options. The French almond croissant was incredible! My daughter had the cinnamon bun coffee and really enjoyed it. I had an iced latte with lavender, vanilla, and honey with less ginger than normal honey and almond milk (name: bee's something) and it was good. I would like to try it hot next time. The employees were so kind and patient as I navigated the menu.

Excellent coffee. Terrific, cozy setting. Easily the best coffee shop around. Authentic to the area. I had the dark chocolate mocha. It was amazing. Nice place to come and work too.

While on a motorcycle trip across the UP and down through WI I stopped in Hayward for a scone and cup of coffee. What a fantastic shop. Great scone, great coffee and super nice people!

Lively coffee shop in the heart of Hayward. Delicious pastries (we had cran/orange scone and also carrot cake). Friendly staff. It has good energy and seems popular with the locals.

Star of the show was the meat lovers breakfast burrito. Hot, crispy, and did not skimp on the fillings. Really nice salty-sweet flavor. Also had a hot caramel latte which was good.

Drinks and food are top notch! Had the Chicken Pesto Panini for lunch with a hot Chai Tea Latte and everything was so delicious. Staff are super friendly and love the cozy atmosphere. Wish I lived closer - I’d be a regular for sure.

My two girlfriends and I were out on road trip and needed to stop to get coffee. This place was our spot! If I had more time to look around would have, all their bakery goods looked sooo yummy!! I could only get a cloud 9, and the barista made it a cloud 10

Good drinks with lots of options. Bakery options for a quick snack, including ones our little kiddos enjoyed. Seems like a good place for a quick snack, Togo, and even some people working on laptops. Would have come here to study/work if I lived in the area.

literally so buss, presentation is cute too. i love my ice chai w pumpkin spices and this did not disappoint. however, my sister asked for cold foam after we paid because either she forgot to mention it or the cashier misheard (which is not the issue) but the cashier was really rude to her about a rather simple request. good drinks, rude service

I love the atmosphere of backroads coffee. However, $8 for a medium matcha that is watered down and poorly mixed isn’t great, the quality of their matcha is poor and for the price it should be worth your money. Paying an extra .70 for flavor that isn’t there is sad too. I try so hard to love the drink from backroads but they always seem to be poorly made and rushed. They always have amazing food and baked goods tho.

We've been here a couple of times and have made a point of stopping when we're in the neighborhood. But. That may not be the case in future. I have never had any of the staff so much as say hello. They speak when you order but only barely. So if you're expecting friendly, you may not get that. It's a super cute place, for sure. Lots of seating in front and in the back. The coffee is okay. Not great. Don't go within twenty minutes of closing because they'll basically already be closed and then you'll be reminded how soon they're closing. Just in case you're too stupid to figure that out on your own.

Would like to say you're selling 12oz bags of coffee for $12 and it's caramel Irish cream flavor instead of just a regular coffee. you need to make that part of the text very very obvious! I'm in a small one room cabin with a single pound of coffee and it tastes like a hotel lobby creamer. This is a war crime.
