We just finished lunch there on Three Kings' Day (January 5th), and we couldn't be happier. Drinking ice-cold Cruzcampo beer in the middle of the holiday season and being served with such warmth and kindness is priceless. The food was fantastic; everything we ordered was delicious. I especially recommend the aged beef entrecote cooked on a hot stone—exquisite. The cuisine was an absolute triumph, and the cook was absolutely charming. We asked to say hello to her through the contacts we made. Thank you, Don Sancho, and here's to another 43 years! Congratulations to the amazing team!
A very good experience. A relaxed atmosphere. The service was paced, and the waitress who served us was impeccable. I recommend the lobster rice (one of the best I've tried in Jaén), the oxtail croquettes (mild flavor), and the grilled shrimp (cooked to perfection).
Good food and great service. Will go again for sure.
This taverna has been really tastefully decorated inside to create a modern feeling. The menu is traditionally Spanish but with some unique dishes. Our food was well prepared and very tasty, and the prices were good value. The staff are very professional and friendly. It is definitely worth a visit and we look forward to our next visit.
Non pretentious place, a must visit in Jaén. Cozy, excellent service, good wine list but mostly great food.
I was recommended this place. I was a bit short on time, but they still served me very kindly. The menu is very carefully prepared with high-quality products. They gave me very kind recommendations. I felt very comfortable, and the selection of cured meats and the flamenquines were spectacular. If I return to Jaén, this is definitely one of the places I'll return to.
I had a great dinner yesterday at Don Sancho II. The waiters were very friendly and attentive throughout the service. All tables were socially distanced as required due to the COVID situation. The food was very good, and the portions were balanced in terms of quality, size, and price. The Russian salad was delicious, the fried calamari was excellent, and the cachopo was also top-notch. I'd never tried whitebait with salmorejo and a fried egg before; but what a great surprise! When it was time to pay the bill, the restaurant brought us some delicious scoops of ice cream! We'll be back for a second visit.
Good food, good presentation, quality of the dishes, and good service. This place has it all. They have a wide variety of dishes, always adding a distinctive and high-quality touch. I highly recommend the croquettes; they come in different flavors and they're all delicious. Every time I come to this restaurant, I leave delighted. The waiters are also very, very friendly. They're also very handsome. I highly recommend it.
The food is sublime. The clams are some of the best I've ever had the pleasure of trying, a true delicacy. The croquettes, especially the Grandma's, with boletus, Emmental, and eggplant, are another masterpiece. Overall, everything is of a very high standard. As I said, the food is delicious, the service is very good, the atmosphere is peaceful, and everything is very clean. The only complaint I can make is that some portions may be a bit lacking in quantity, but they more than make up for it with their high quality. The waiter with the gray hair is very attractive. Highly recommended.
Good
A restaurant with a reasonable but not excessive menu. I had lunch on the terrace and it was very good, at a suitable distance and in a suitable location. The food, except for the croquettes, which seemed pre-cooked, was good. A very tasty "Don Sancho" salad and some migas (breadcrumbs), although they were plated lukewarm, were not bad. The service (I don't know if it was due to the kitchen) was a bit slow between courses, and the cutlery was not checked properly. The waiter was helpful and polite, and everything was provided without any fuss, quite good. The price, in my opinion, is not cheap, but it's not very expensive. I can recommend it. Best regards.

This is a bar-restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat if you're not in a hurry. We arrived about 10 minutes after opening time, and there were already people seated at the tables. It's a huge crowd, so the meal can take a while, especially if you order main courses. With each order, we were given a tapa (they have their own tapas menu, which is quite basic, by the way... and they don't explain what it is or what's in it; they just put it on the table. In my case, with the rice, I didn't want to take any chances because I'm allergic to shellfish and had no idea what that rice contained... I think they should at least tell you what it is). We ordered croquettes, which you must order at least 6 of. It's a shame the waitress didn't bring me the croquettes I asked for and brought me 6 at random, and I literally couldn't tell which one was which. I was left wanting to try the ones I wanted, but oh well... that's just En Vivo's thing. In that same vein, the service isn't bad, but it could be better. There was clearly a slight difference in how she treated the regulars and those of us who were there for the first time. She wasn't as friendly or nice with us, but the service wasn't bad either. It was a bit slow due to the number of people, with just two people serving all the tables. We also ordered the flamenquin with goat cheese, ham, and caramelized onion, and honestly, I was left looking for the goat cheese. Overall, I don't think it's the tastiest food in the world... it's pretty average. For dessert, we ordered the Baylies coulant (the typical chocolate coulant they sell by the box at Mercadona). There were two of us, and our bill came to less than €50. Overall, this place is worth going to if you're aware that it's crowded and you'll have to wait.
Open for extended hours, so an OK choice if you have to. Food is very mid-range for the price, but atmosphere is good and staff are friendly.

Quiet place, with regard to the food, much to be desired, they serve average tapas, some half sandwiches and half sardines on fried bread toasts, cold and oily, THEY DO NOT HAVE AN ALLERGEN MENU, I am allergic to lactose and the answer is that they do not have anything written, I asked the waitress and she told me ... come on, food safety for those with allergies and intolerances, it used to be much better, it must be that they have changed owners and the quality has dropped a lot and the price is expensive. It is mandatory by law to have the allergen menu in writing and they do not have it, which also exposes them to a fine.
DON'T COME... The menu... isn't worth it. €15.50 WITHOUT DRINKS... Small portions and the food leaves much to be desired... The calamari was good and the migas too, but the portions were small... I had to send back the pork cheek dish because the meat smelled strong... It's true they replaced it with another one... The sirloin steak was packaged and very oily, the croquettes only tasted of "special" (a brand of meat) and the pork knuckle was so-so, although you could tell it was also packaged... The lasagna was frozen and tiny... They advertise "Repsol star" and pfff... I seriously doubt it... how awful... And the desserts... the chocolate mousse was laughable... the pineapple was just 4 "slices" cut with a mandoline... We were really surprised that it was practically empty at peak time... we should have been suspicious.
Not what i expected... Bad food good beer.
