I don't normally take pictures of my food however, I took one bite and knew I had to leave a review! I ordered the new quesabirria, which I topped with tomatillo green sauce, with rice and beans and a salted rim prickly pear margarita. I was in cheesey beefy saucey heaven with every bite! The food was fresh, hot, flavorful, and simply perfect! On top of the food being amazing, the staff was wonderful as well! They were patient (I take forever to order), helpful, fast and professional! Thanks for the great experience ladies!!! I look forward to visiting El Pitayo more in the future and this will be my go to meal!

So delicious! I was extremely amazed at the prices too! For under $10 you can get a great meal.. Such quality food is possibly being overlooked in this small town of Jarrell. We could not finish and had to get a to go box.

Awesome Food! Tacos and a chimichanga and chips and queso. The Mango Margarita on the rocks Wow!!!! I was not expecting that much margarita. Majorly loved! The only complaint was the rice did not have enough flavor to it but everything else was great.

Best tacos I have ever had! I tried both the breakfast tacos and street tacos during my stay in Texas this past weekend. Their breakfast tacos are not only very flavorful and perfectly seasoned but also very filling and a lot of food for the price. The street tacos while smaller are also very flavorful and seasoned perfectly. Even though these tacos are smaller they are definitely great for a meal or as a share plate. The service was also very prompt and friendly while the food came to the table hot :)

Generally pretty good but ordered from the phone & went to pick it up. My order was not ready. They claimed I never called in the order and it was just a really frustrating situation all around. I think it’s only good when you go in face-to-face; do not call in and pick up to go orders because you may not get it & they won’t be very helpful in the solution.

If breakfast burritos were judged like Olympic events, the one here would absolutely medal, possibly while talking trash to the competition. This thing is wrapped in a warm, sturdy tortilla that knows it’s carrying responsibility, stuffed with fluffy eggs, savory meat, melty cheese, and potatoes that somehow manage to be both comforting and exciting at the same time. Every bite tastes fresh, balanced, and unapologetically satisfying, like it was made by someone who genuinely cares how your morning goes. It’s hearty without being sloppy, flavorful without trying too hard, and filling enough that you’ll forget lunch even exists for a while. Add in the fact that it comes out hot, hits all the right Tex-Mex notes, and doesn’t fall apart halfway through like a poorly planned life decision, and you’ve got yourself a top-tier breakfast situation!

The bar is kind of cozy. I wish there were more seats, especially during happy hour (it can fill up fast). However, it’s completely adorable and the margaritas are amazing. I’ll be honest- in my experience, the lunch and dinner options have been somewhat hit or miss in quality. The breakfast is great, though! I would definitely recommend queso and margs at the bar, or a nice, chill breakfast on a lazy sunday (or any day- I think it’s served until 12).

Stopped here for breakfast , got the migas, and they're good, but for $10 I wish they gave you tortillas too. I got the unsweetened tea and the water taste bad. But overall I'd say atleast try this place once

I love this restaurant, but the quality can be so inconsistent. On a good day it's absolutely 4 stars, but we've had experiences that have made us take breaks from going back. I love their Mexican rice, but it is something that depending on the day or time of day can be really hit or miss and not fresh. I'm not typically a fan of refried beans but theirs are amazing. I love their tostadas, taco salad, fajitas, Texas burrito, and shrimp dishes. My favorite thing ks getting their bean and cheese nachos. I also like their horchata when they have it, but they do run out. I'm not a big fan of their beef options as I've found most of them to be quite chewy and sometimes dry, but my husband loves their carne asada. We have also gotten sick after eating their food (we believe it was the beef both times) on two separate occasions. The service is also lacking. They don't have many people working there and it can take a while to get someone at the counter when picking up takeout or paying at the end of a meal. It is also really difficult to reach them by phone because they are always having some kind of phone issues. You often have to call several times just to get the call to connect. Sometimes we give up and just order our takeout when we get there, and thankfully they out the orders together oretty quickly. All in all, I love this place and will continue to come back. And I do recommend it with a warning that they do have some bad days. I hope things get better!

I usually eat in or order from here about once a week and the food is good. Pros: They have good enchiladas and the breakfast and luch plates are also good. They also have great ingredient options for the tacos. The staff is always friendly and helpful too. Cons: The flour tortillas imo are not good. They are thin and seem almost raw. I thought the first time it was a fluke and gave the benefit of the doubt that maybe they were just in hurry that day, but nope, i have tried them a few times now, take out and eating in, and it’s always the same issue. I know everyone likes their tortillas differently dependent on what region you are from, or how your abuela made them, I get that, I’m born and raised South Texas and for me, these are no bueno

The amount they put in the tiny tacos is so little meat and for the price they charge it is higher than a boujie salad bowl, more than chipotle and as much as a specialty sushi roll from a nice sushi place for 3 measley little tacos that are not filling and has so little meat. Comparable to taco cabana.

I guess I caught them on an off night? The good: 1. The California Burrito was super on point. Very good! 2. The Rice was good, nice and, fluffy! 3. The margarita was good as well! Now for the bad: Ordered, flautas and birria tacos. 1. The flautas had little to no meat in them and were halfway rolled. It was like biting into an unsalted dry chip. Complete waste of money, if I wanted chips I would've ordered them. 2. The birria tacos had no flavor, soft, mushy and greasy. There was no crisp to them what so ever! The consome was literally all oil and no broth. It most definitely didnt look like the tacos someone previously took a picture of. Another waste of money! 3. The charro beans were watery and lacked flavor. So I guess they are just good for drinks and burritos?

I don’t normally review places because I’ve never had that serious of an issue where I felt like I needed to voice my issues online. However this place somehow has 4 stars and it’s extremely misleading. I’m not sure if it is the quality of the meat or just the amount of grease they ALLOW to be in the meat. But the quesabirria tacos literally made me throw up. I didn’t even finish my meal. I’ve had so many issues with this place I should have known better. I guess I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. But never did I think I’d have this serious of an issue. I finished one taco and it seemed a little greasy but still tolerable. The second one…I took one bite and it was instantly bad. Nothing but fat and grease. I threw up. In the photo you can see that there IS meat, yes and some onion. But it is COVERED in fat. And the little meat that was in it tasted AWFUL. Honestly this was Disgusting. I will never order from here again.
