I can not overstate how much of a pleasent experience I had here. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was amazing. If you like Sichuan cooking, the Ma Po was amazing. Hot as hell and had the perfect amount of numbing to it.

Umai Sushi Restaurant is an absolute gem! The sushi rolls we had were nothing short of spectacular, bursting with intense flavors that delighted our taste buds and left us craving more. Additionally, the customer service was top-notch; the staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about their food, enhancing our dining experience even further. Having the best dinner ever. We have been going here since it opened. If you haven’t already been to Umai in Jonesboro you need to go there. it’s the best ever. The owner is so friendly. The milk and boba tea is so good. Their fruit teas are always fresh. Their habachi is so tasty. Not to mention the atmosphere is so quaint. And it’s conveniently located by hobby lobby for after date activities.

We ordered hibachi steak and chicken, and it was only $40. Can't beat that! Not to mention, it was delicious. I really loved that they bring you your salad in a container, which keeps everything clean and put together. Also, they bring your meal out in a container, as well, so when you're ready to leave and have leftovers, you can just get a lid and go. The staff was quick and friendly. We would definitely go back and recommend this place to those who like the hibachi type of food.

The only restaurant we Door Dash that always gets the order right. Food is always wonderful. Felt horrible ordering 5 minutes before cutoff, but quickly received fresh and amazing food. The bang bang shrimp had the perfect crispy outside texture, wonderful taste as always. Pink lady roll was amazing. The peach slush was like a decadent dessert, absolutely amazing.

Visited this hibachi/sushi restaurant for lunch and it was very good. They have the typical hibachi dishes you find at similar restaurants. This restaurant has no grills where a chef cooks in front of you but I prefer that. Their sushi rolls are good and are similar to other restaurants in the area but under a different name. Overall, a good restaurant and I will visit it again.

Ate dinner here approx 5 pm. Had beef ramen and sushi. Ate a few bites of sushi, finished the ramen, took the sushi home, put it directly in the fridge. Felt stomach rumbles and an immediate need to use the bathroom. Had stomach pain and some loose stools, thought it was the mixing of the sushi and ramen. Ate the rest of the sushi later that night around 9 pm and about 20 mins later I had nausea and stomach pains. I did not end up vomiting nor with diarrhea but I was ready to run to the bathroom if i needed too. I had already got ready for bed so I was worried i might end up getting sick in bed but i didn't. I had those symptoms for about an hour or so after I ate. Not sure what kind of food poisoning it was but I will not be back. All in all, the ramen did have a good flavor and the sushi was ok, I just have no confidence in the food prep, kitchen cleanliness and cooking hygiene. Not going back.

Super disappointed that the owners changed, the previous ones had amazing food and great staff. Now the food is quite bland and the sauces no longer are the same. Nothing is the same anymore. Umai used to be the best in Jonesboro. More flavor than sumos or Fuji’s, now I’ll be returning back to sumos. Hopefully they make improvements soon

Just left this restaurant and I was told they couldn't fix my order as it had to much pepper on the ahi tuna and I needed it cooked longer as well. It was thrown away. I was told, by a different lady, that is how's it cooked and I was never given food afterwards. I watched everyone in my party eat. So here it is, me as the only one without dinner. How can someone do that to you?
