Looking for a breakfast place while driving through (Kettleman City). Only option was Denny’s (closed for kitchen remodel) or Starbucks. We kind of looked around and said a breakfast burrito sounded good. What a great choice. We may have had to wait a bit, only because they were making the bacon fresh for our order. The taste was very good! We will be back.

Bold, overflowing tacos. Like the pollo and carnitas the best. The asada was pretty spicy.

Food was fantastic. Team was fast. SO much better than any of the fast food crap in Kettleman City. These guys have my business every time we stop in town now!!!

Had dinner on Saturday night. The food was great. It’s prepared and served directly from the steam counter. Great tasting Tacos available with many meat options. The owner is a first class guy who went out of his way to accommodate me during an issue I had with my car. I wish more young people were as compassionate and generous as this owner was. He a fabulous example of a hard working business owner who goes the extra mile to help his customers. I am very grateful he was there during my difficult situation. Your support of this business will benefit the community through the owners example of giving back.

Loved the quesabirria, barbacoa, and lengua tacos 💚 the horchata was legit too. We stopped to charge our vehicle at Electrify America and wanted local food. Glad this was right next to it. Delicioso! Friendly service as well.

The food here is so good and fast! It needed a little salt for my taste but perfect for my husband. This is our new stop on the 5.

If you were ever sitting there with time to kill charging your EV at the Electrify America and across the parking lot, you see this place and ask yourself if you should go there the answer is definitely yes. You’re welcome. My order was ready in no time. You can sit and eat there, but I recommend just grabbing your food and walking back to your car.

Skip the busy palm treed burger spot down the street, this place is a WAY better choice. I tried five different tacos, they were all great. The stewed chicharron taco is a classic you don’t see very often where I live now, but I grew up with them & this place does them right. Lengua & chorizo are also great. My tacos came perfectly pre-dressed with cilantro, onion & salsa. One HUGE advantage for travelers staying at the motels nearby is this is easier to walk to than the BBQ spot & the burger chains across the highway. I will most certainly eat here again, it’s perfect.

When you least expect it, this place by the I-5 serves delicious, authentic Mexican food! One of the best I’ve eaten at in California. I recommend their Barbacoa and Adobada tacos. It’s finger food so it’ll be a little messy, but their bathroom is quite clean and every time I visit they’ve had hand soap refilled. what a relieve!

The tortilla was crispy the cheese was perfectly melted and it was piping hot when my order came out. 10/10 recommend and I’m so picky. I haven’t had a better quesadilla in Mexico and I live on the Tijuana border.

Staff was very patient & accommodating of my family’s indecision while ordering. Close to the Electrify America charging stations. Lots of seating. Tacos es mi vida!! Really good tacos. Individually wrapped. Right across from Valero. Room for a few trucks. Can’t go wrong.

We passed through at 3:30pm, between conventional meal times. Other than the staff in kitchen and behind the counter there was only one other person there. For that reason we chose to eat inside as usually we don’t eat indoors during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our food was made fresh. I had the quesadilla grande with chicken. It was delicious and well spiced. The price was a little steep but inflation is making everything expensive. The air conditioning worked fine inside and it was quite comfortable. Everything appeared clean though our table could have used a wipe-down. We would definitely stop there next time looking for food at the Kettleman City off-ramp of I-5, as I prefer to support independent restaurants and not chain fast food places if I can help it. I’m intrigued that the restaurant appears to be open 24-hrs a day. I’m not usually driving by here in the late hours of the night but I would try it if I were and needed a bite to eat.

First - we tried out a few different meats: lengua, carne asada, and cabeza. All were so tender, juicy, and flavorful. The burrito and three tacos we ordered were very well constructed. The burrito.was HUGE! I shared the burrito with my college age daughter and we both walked away fully sated. The decor is.... minimal. But don't let that deter you. You come here for the good food and decent prices. I've always felt fancy decor was just a restaurant's way of diverting your attention away from what matters - the quality of food. This has become our new midway food break destination. So glad we found it!?

Good option if you’re charging your vehicle. Open all night. Decent vegan burrito, $8.99. Good price for 2024 even though it wasn’t a huge burrito.

Server yourself. Asada burrito no guacamole or sour cream. Mainly beans & rice only. Out of chicken. Papa tacos pre-made Can use major improvements.

Food was great and atmosphere was kid friendly. My son loved the free foosball table. We had a California burrito and tacos de asada. Our family liked the food!

The food is much better that the typical fast food restaurant, but the service wasn't good. Ordering is taqueria style and they don't bring it the table. When we were there they put items 1 at a time on the counter. The worst thing about the place is the bathrooms. They were filthy and didn't have any soap.

The California burrito was massive, but not over filling. A good amount of lettuce so its not a brick. A lot of seating and clean tables. The only thing that could be nicer is an updated bathroom.

My go-to spot whenever I have to drive I-5. I love the breakfast burrito with potato, but I don’t think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. I’m always on the hunt for a good vegetarian Mexican meal and this place hits the spot and is better than most fast food options along the route. The beans and rice were really flavorful. I wish they put a bit more salsa in the burrito but it was served it on the side and it was delicious. Like others said it could stand to be slightly cleaner inside, but it’s not a deal breaker. They have bathrooms, a spacious inside area, and even an option to sit on the patio. I’ll see you on the way back Chalios!

The service is nice. The guy that makes the burritos is friendly. The food is good but expensive. $14 for a burrito with no salsa when every other Mexican place is $10-$12. Some 9f the meats look old but chicken is good

The food was pretty good, but you’re not coming for the ambience. I hadn’t seen a notice of suspension from the board of alcohol before today, but they had one on their beverage refrigerator. The tacos were tasty, I got chorizo, asada and pollo and recommend all three. Nice tortillas.

When you pay these high prices to eat out you expect to get what you ordered. We ordered 3 tacos and got 2 made right and one with the wrong meat and I let that go but we also ordered asada fries with no cilantro but they made them with cilantro and didnt want to remake them right and reacted in a rude manner as if it was my fault and the asada fries had one bite taken out of them as my daughter was trying to eat around the cilantro but they acted as if she had eaten half of the order. Very frustrating to be treated like I was trying to get a free meal. Will not stop there again. 1st and last time coming here.

California burrito - with barbacoa. Big but tasteless. Couldn't eat it all since it wasn't that good. Tortilla Fell apart immediately. Mostly frozen French fries. Made a barbacoa salad. Nothing to have ever again. Some fatty gristle. Out of chicken. Nice staff. It is food. It is expensive.

Some of the food had a good flavor but the food tasted old or not properly cooked. The bathroom had an awful smell (had to leave it was making me nauseous). The drinks were good. Overall the entire place need some deep cleaning. It’s super dirty (the floors & doors).

Idk where to start... Who ever the "lady "is she need to be checked by who ever hired her, she needs customer service skills, who says to a customer" they can't do the birria tacos because Takes To Long! As you can see the tacos look all sloppy made.. the food was very disappointed, no taste on the meat.. Salsa was spicy with no flavor..the tables were dirty And the only reason I came here was because I was coming from the coast and was craving tacos and my sister pointed it out lol But please Save yourself a disappointment and take your money somewhere else. Your better off getting taco bell lol.

Not sure how this place gets positive reviews. The food - we ordered burrito supremes, which has a little of most of what they serve, were terrible. Rice & beans were overly salty, the meat had a lot of gristle and the supreme is supposed to have sour cream and cheese, but there was very little in one small area of the burrito. We paid $32 for 2 burritos. The lady at the counter acted annoyed. The young man making the burritos was very nice! The place wasn’t the cleanest… We were trying to avoid all the fast food, but that would have been preferable. Do yourself a favor and go to In n Out.

It was a red flag when I walked in and no customers were around. Got some tacos and I don’t know how they sell them. They have no flavor and without asking they add salsa to them. Choose something else. Didn’t get to even finish them as they were not good.
