This was my first time coming here and I loved it!! We were immediately greeted by the most amazing hostess Janice with a friendly, positive, and genuine smile, creating a welcoming atmosphere. She explained everything really well and made us feel welcomed and valued. You can tell she genuinely cares about the customers. Our server was friendly and attentive too. The food was also delicious and we had a blast!

AMAZING food, service and atmosphere! When we arrived they were very kind and welcoming. They explained how to order using the ipad and how to mix sauces. They came to our table regularly to check if we needed anything which was very nice. I would definitely be coming back to this location! Very professional and respectful. We came to celebrate my sister's birthday and Justin was our server. He really went above and beyond to make it a really nice time! We really liked this place! We were in the area sightseeing around Coney Island and we just stumbled on this place! The staff were so friendly and helpful! We did the cook it yourself Korean Bbq and it was such a fun experience, there was also an appetizer bar area where you can help yourself along with some sauces. Second time at KPOT and it was excellent! Went for lunch, and the price can't be beat! Ming was an awesome server and was super attentive and our soup for our hot pot was always refilled when running low! I've had the dinner and the lunch, and either meal is a great value. Conveniently located next to the Coney Island subway station. Definitely will be back!

This K Pot location is clean and the AC is pumping! We were taken care of by Justin and the service was impeccable. He was courteous, helpful, patient, and extremely knowledgeable because my sister is gluten free and he made sure she was set. Will definitely be coming back and the food comes out so quick! Absolutely wonderful staff, amazing food, great music and atmosphere. The smell alone will make you want to order the whole menu. But the star of the show has to be Chris the bartender he never misses with his tasty and stunning drinks. Would highly recommended you stopping by and showing love.

Came here for the bbq lunch option and service was superb, thanks to our server Kevin, as he was very friendly and attentive. Food was fresh and arrived quickly to our table after ordering. Atmosphere was also quiet and clean, so I would definitely recommend.

KPOT is KDelicioso! I'll go back to do the Hot Pot but the BBQ was super Uber great. Worth the cost and it filled me up.

We had a really good time. The atmosphere is just so calming and inviting it made me want to eat more (don't find the logic behind it). We weren't aware it was an all you can eat place with no takeaway until the waiter told us and also went on to help us kick-start. When we requested a new grill when our previous one was burnt, they swiftly provided one. The only issue we had was that we couldn't actually control the heat to our liking. Oh!! And the lack of real spice. We literally requested some real pepper once none of the spice sauces and jalapeño worked but unfortunately they didn't have any. Overall, we liked all the meats we ordered especially when paired with grilled pineapples and kimchi. Seafood wise, I should have left the oysters alone. It didn't hit the spot like the others.

Went on a Monday afternoon. Linda was an amazing server, even offering to help me utilize the grill since it was my first time. The hot pot was great! I got the mild spicy. If you're not into spicy I don't recommend you get it. Just go with mild. Definitely a family spot if you're worried about children. The music was family setting appropriate. We came here Sunday night with a party of eight. The manager Tao and server Justin deliver us their A+ service. Our food came quick. The garlic shrimp was delicious and was my favorite. Definitely will go back.

First things first, expect a wait when you get here on a weekend evening. We came at around 7 pm on a Saturday. We had a group of 7. There was only one or two tables that can fit a bigger party than 6 so we would have had to wait an hour or even longer to be seated at the right table. The reason for this is because most tables only have 6 hot plates for hot pot. However, a 6 man table opened up for us within 15 minutes and two of our group would have to share a hotpot. The seats were spacious enough to fit 8 people however, so it was fine. We ordered BBQ and hotpot so it came out to $37 per person excluding tax. They change the grill plates once they see you have some burnt layer on the grill plates. They come frequently enough. They also have water jugs near some tables so it was easy to ask them for a refill. They have a variety of sauces and soup bases to choose from and they were pretty tasty! Ordering AYCE gets you an hour and a half of food but they didn’t rush us out when it was time, because tables started emptying out. We just couldn’t order anymore. The BBQ was delicious. The meats come pre marinated. The hotpot was decent, I had the Miso soup, but I made a peanut butter base sauce that was amazing to dip the hot pot food in, and it made the hot pot delicious as well. The second you walk in here, you are hit with a strong aroma of BBQ smoke. Your clothes will be covered with BBQ smoke when you walk out! The male bathroom has 3 stalls. So there is sometimes a wait when you gotta do your business. Overall, an amazing experience, would come here again!

It was my first time going to Kpot and Adeola was a sweetheart, she helped us choose the sauces and really took her time to explain the process, and helped us make the food as well, which came out perfect with her help! The hosts are so friendly and nice, and welcoming. We got hook nd reel fried shrimp and calamari thats right upstairs to eat with our hotpot kpot. It was pretty cool. Hook and reel is upstairs and kpot is main floor. Bathroom is upstairs and stall style, fun faucet and good smelling hand soap. My fav soup base is japanese miso its very good and drinkable, only thing is that it gets salty at the end. Service is very cool you pick what you want on an ipad and the food comes in a tray wagon very quickly. Sauce station and lil fry bar is one area which ie nice and clean. Chicken nugget taste like mcdonalds hahahah. Fried are cajun fried but no flavor. Crispy tho.

Both the hot pot and the BBQ are excellent. I recommend coming when you are hungry to take advantage of the all-you-can-eat nature of the menu. The staff is friendly and can help with any questions if you are new to this style of eating. Men's restroom was a little gross, but it looks like they have a decent cleaning schedule and the issue could have been the guy before me had poor aim.

I've been here multiple times with multiple groups of people and the experience has always been a delight, but today's trumps it by a long shot. The service was immaculate. We were greeted by 2 hostess the first who explained there was a wait and was very respectful, she took our name and number for a call back (I wish I caught her name). And Minna who took us to our table, was very polite and apologetic about the wait. Our server did an amazing job of getting our food on time and dealing with any issues we had while dining. And best of all the food was absolutely delicious, with a sauce bar to customize ourselves with 3 appetizers and fruit as well as condiments. The weekend AYCE is 35$ per person, very reasonable with the amount of meat you can choose from and various drinks. It can get busy but with a fun group you hardly notice it. It was a lovely experience, the food and service have never been better.

Been there 2 times now, and both time been exceptional. The food good, service spectacular friendly server. Only complaint from me when you do the hot pot it’s individual pot I wish you had the option of a big one to enhance the experience. Their portion is decent they have a buffet bar but it’s not too great and bit poorly maintained at least the times I’ve been there. In all not a bad spot especially for the price and the service you receive I would recommend it for a casual night out with friends or family even for date night.

Customers choose from various soup bases, noodles or white rice, appetizer and drink. The KPOT seafood combo meal includes shrimp, green mussels, calamari, crab meat and fish balls. The hot pot is served in a bowl. The location is one block from the famous Nathan's fast food restaurant.

It was a nice place but there are other places better than this place. Just wanted to try. Order via the tablet and they bring out the food, they had missed maybe a couple of items I felt , but thats fine. Had both bbq and hot pot together. Hook and reel is also part of this place but I think located upstairs and the hotpot/bbq is downstairs. The table was kind of full of items and I ended up saying, "oh I'm not sure where you can place that", the server responded with "oh if you don't know then i wouldn't either." Like dude.. you're the server. What kind of attitude is that? That server should do a little better. Just saying, the server had 2 hands and was only holding one plate. If you don't like what you're doing, better off working somewhere else then. There are other servers that had better manners compared to that server I encountered here. Sauces are limited. Hotbar served fries and nuggets. They also had fruit and kimchi. Plates of food, well, placement can be better because there were too many plates. I do recommend the korean seafood base soup which can be mild to spicy, your choice. 2 hours limit for this place like most.

Server was nice. Service was quick and fast. This location had more options than the one located in Downtown Brooklyn (Dekalb). We went around 10:20 and stayed until closing. Even after 11:30 they did not rush us but they did let us know that they were closing the kitchen and to put in last orders. They only needed to change our pot once. Sauce and hot station was different from the other location as well. They only had bowls for the sauce, the other has 3 small bowls in one plate, they had chicks nuggets instead of chicken poppers. Overall it was clean. We had to ask for water refill however, they were not on top of that.

This is the second kpot I’ve been to. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly. You order most of what you need from the tablet and the staff brings it right out. We had a great time. Let me emphasize the staff is amazing! The serving sizes are portion based. I don’t feel like their selection is as diverse as the one I went to in the BX. But the interaction with the staff definitely helped this spot stand on their own. This restaurant offer an opportunity to sit and engage with each other. We had a wonderful time and will return. If you’re in the area stop in!

Nothing bad happened when I went the first time. But I was scheduling a lunch with some friends for the new year, just to find out this place was literally just issued a dozen citation for health and safety violations right before christmas. Their score now is N 67 (out of A100) for refusing to store and reheat food at safe temperatures. Even the managers or owners dont have their Food Protection Certificates. Hopefully they meet compliance soon so they dont get shut down forever. I liked how it was close by and dont really want to go to manhatten for hotpot. Edit. I know I cant spell for crap.

been here a couple times when it wasn’t super busy and the service has been great during those times. however i came here on a friday night and it was quite busy and our server started off nice but after we ordered our soup we told him we needed a couple minutes to look over the menu and had to remind him to ask what we wanted to drink. we waited 20 minutes for him to come back and also had to remind him to do so. he did not check on us once and proceeded to have an attitude when he was cashing us out. i understand the place is busy but its not even like he’s the one who brings out the food, several other people do it for you. unless he was the only server there during this time is no excuse for this.

There was no seafood to chose from. There was just meat which was good. The spicy chicken was good. The steaks were good. Service was fair. One of the staff sprayed me with the oil sprayer by accident. Pick a better location for more food options. The floors in the booth was wet and dirty.

If you’re just gonna put out old, dry fries for people to try and then toss them, might as well not bother. The mango juice was insanely sweet like way too much. And the iPad was super gross and dirty. I get that they don’t do to-go boxes, but there should be some kind of limit on how much leftover food people can take, so it doesn’t go to waste and at the same time no one can abuse their policy.

I normally do not leave low reviews but I feel like this place completely missed the mark. We were excited to try this spot out after hearing some good words/recommendations from close friends. The grill was not hot enough (and it also took awhile for it to heat up) to cook majority of the meats and it left the meat looking and tasting almost like boiled meat. The flavor for almost all the meat selections was not there. It tasted like we were eating boiled meat rather than BBQ. We were sorely disappointed. Although the food was not great, I will say that our waiter was great and highly attentive. Considering this location just opened this week, it’s understandable to have some hiccups - but don’t think I’ll be returning for a bit to this location (at least until the staff has had some time to get used to their new work environment.) I’ve heard high praises from friends who visited other Kpot locations & was excited to hear that they opened one in South Brooklyn. Upon dining it was a bit confusing as the restaurant was in the same building as Hook & Reel - along with the same front desk. We weren’t too concerned with the two hour time limit prior to being seated, but due to the entirety of the staff being new it took about an hour to receive the food we ordered - and we still had to cook it. It really did seem as if all the staff were running around lost, which isn’t their fault - it just means there was a severe lack of training on what to do, say, or even serve food. We were approached by multiple waitresses and waiters who weren’t dedicated to our table, complaining about the service aspect of the restaurant and how it was difficult to put orders in and get the food out. Once you have random staff members complaining to the diners of the restaurant, you know there’s something wrong. The food really wasn’t the best and we have had better quality hot pot and bbq elsewhere. Due to the staff struggling to get food out, by the time we received our food all our soup had boiled away and we weren’t even able to focus on the hot pot (no offer to refill either, just told to turn it off so it didn’t burn.) To top this dining experience all off, we also got to experience the diners on the second floor (Hook & Reel) drop food and plates from the second floor onto the diners of the first (yes, onto us, with a plate and food falling directly on people’s heads.) Completely accidental, but still unsavory. For the price it really is a great value, so it was a shame the experience wasn’t the best. Would consider trying this place again in the future, but really would love to see the staff receive more training before returning.

Couldn’t understand my server did not explain well, I didn’t know I could order more food or that there was a sauce bar in the back. Had to ask another server for help. Wish the staff got trained more.

Service was great, no complaints in that department. I went here with a friend after several great experiences at other KPOT locations and we couldn't help but leave disappointed. The hangar steak was nice (laughably tiny portion though) and one other beef dish was pretty solid. Otherwise, all the beef/pork items we tried were inedible. Nothing tasted spoiled or anything like that, just tasted super cheap and artificial. Admittedly, my friend and I aren't super into seafood, so maybe this location is carried by the fish selections - I wouldn't know. But I was very unimpressed.

They sat us at a table with ripped with chairs! We paid 200 to watch one of the servers wiping the appetizer counter put the pieces of food from dirty counter put them back in the trays with the food using the dirty rag. At the end of the I scanned something the guy gave me and people have been trying to use my credit cards on my sense The worst experience ever!

Today I stopped by the Coney Island branch of Kpot to try it out. On their website, they were advertising the lunch menu and happy hour. I wanted to give it a try. But at the door, they told me they no longer had a lunch menu and were only serving the all-day dinner. Also, the discounted drink menu was available with another menu, which I think they didn’t have either. It turned out to be a disappointing day

Avoid This Place at All Costs! Terrible Experience! I had the misfortune of visiting Hook and Reel in Coney Island, and let me tell you, it was an absolute nightmare. As soon as I walked in, I was hit by a foul odor that made me question whether this place was fit for human consumption. But that was just the start of the horror show. I decided to sit on the second floor, and to my absolute disgust, I spotted a mouse scurrying around the restaurant. Yes, you read that right — A MOUSE. I’m talking about the kind you’d expect to find in a filthy alleyway, not inside a “restaurant.” And it doesn’t stop there. As I’m trying to eat my meal (if you can call it that), I notice mouse turds scattered across the floor. Who knows how many more were lurking in the shadows, but I sure wasn’t sticking around to find out. If that wasn’t enough, one of the servers dropped a fork on the floor, didn’t even bother to pick it up or clean it, and then went on to put it in a bucket to serve to other customers. Disgusting! I have no idea how this place hasn’t been shut down yet. The service was equally terrible. The waitstaff were rude, unhelpful, and seemed completely uninterested in doing their job. It took forever to get our drinks, and don’t even get me started on the food quality. This place is a health hazard. I genuinely believe it needs to be closed down before anyone else gets sick. There are far too many better options in Coney Island — don’t waste your time or money here. If you care about your health and dignity, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place. It’s downright appalling.

Disgusting food I ever had! They gave me lymphatic meat! Also I ordered Szechuan spicy soup, it came with all spicy oil, feel like spicy hotpot soup base!!!

This was one of our first times at a Korean bbq and the experience was terrible. The server was not very attentive, he did not change our grill when it got too burnt even though he did it for other tables, and when it came time to pay our check, we called for assistance 5 times(25 mins waiting,it was not busy) resulting in us getting up to ask the lady in the front if we could get the check. It seemed as though there are inexperienced High schoolers working here. In addition to the service here, the food seemed fairly disappointing.

I went there with my friend, but it was closed despite showing as open. There was no notice on the website or Google Maps. The closure is due to health and mental hygiene reasons.

They charged dinner prices for lunch time which felt weird but we agreed since we were hungry You have to pay for ice cream which every other location has it for free so that was super weird The service was okay she was sweet but I wouldn’t come to this location again

We went into this restaurant with my friend but there we were going to share one but the staff was very rude to us telling us that we couldn't share. that it was mandatory to order two dishes but they were very rude when they told us!!! 😡😠when they brought my friend's food they were watching us all the time to see if she wasn't eating it and the steak had a fly 🫣🤮🤮🤮
