Nice restaurant, albeit a little bit on the pricier side. The starters were very good, the sticks were great und the dessert was just fantastic. All while being served by the super accommodating Laura. Make sure to reserve beforehand. Highly recommended!
This was by far the best sushi my girlfriend and I have ever had. We are American tourists who decided to stop by Sticks'n'Sushi after a recommendation from a local. We're both so grateful they had room for us without a reservation and we still talk about how buttery the salmon was. By far the best quality fish we've ever had and amazing service as well.
Food and service at this sticks were absolutely amazing. Attentive staff, great food and great company. We went here a few times- meals for us went over £100 which is high but worth it. You can enter here from Tivoli via the food court and then enter tivoli again. Provides a good view of Tivoli.
Good service, good atmosphere, delicious food. The black sauce with the cauliflower is the best I've ever tried. The sauce is just perfect 😄
An exceptional dining experience. The sushi was exquisite. refined flavors, impeccable freshness, and flawless presentation. The service was equally outstanding: elegant, attentive, and effortlessly professional. A truly sophisticated restaurant that delivers excellence in every detail.
Great find! Top floor of food hall area next to Tivoli gardens with a beautiful view of scenery below. Friendly service. Delicious food. Extensive menu. Lovely decor. Outdoor balcony seating. Dining experience exceeded expectations. Recommend and would return!
Sticks’n’Sushi is always worth the trip. The food is consistently amazing across locations and the staff is friendly. This location offers a great rooftop with little lounge areas to enjoy drinks. I can only recommend to skip the food hall and go on top of it to get some sushi and some sticks!
Wonderful place with a top view out over Tivoli garden. Very nice menu with something for everyone, lovely service and nice atmosphere. For anyone who likes sushi I can very much recommend this place. Specially sitting outside with the view if the weather allows it.
We went here to celebrate the night before our civil wedding about 2 weeks ago. It was the first time we visited Copenhagen and I saw this restaurant mentioned in a few articles as a great restaurant with a beautiful view. The atmosphere was excellent, it was quite dark with some lights, while we could see the city view. The service was excellent as well, the waitress helped us to pick the recommended menus and was very friendly. The menus that we ordered were: - Hot Sake - Genmaicha tea (pot) - Maki Maki Mini (4 rolls x 4pcs) - Tempura roll, Seared Salmon roll, Scallop Ceviche roll, and Spicy Tempura roll. - Hotate Bacon (Yakitori) - Scallop wrapped with bacon in miso herb butter - Matcha Molten Lava Cake All the above were great, but our favourite is the Maki Maki Mini. All 4 types of sushi were very interesting, tasty, great texture, and the seafood tasted very fresh. I personally loved it! what a brilliant menu, and it has 4 different types of sushi, which I love trying different flavours. We will definitely come back here when visiting Copenhagen again in the future! 😊❤️
Sushi with a view over Tivoli, delicious and beautifully served disches and many have over time become absolutely favourites like the Hells Kitchen. Can only recommend
We had a lovely dinner overlooking the festively lit Tivoli park. The food was delicious and varied.
I made the right decision to have dinner at sticks n sushi, everything was perfect from food to staff and the vibes😍✔️ highly recommended place to visit
Amazing restaurant with top quality food. Highly recommended! If you have the opportunity try the mango desert!
This restaurant was recommended by a friend, and it was totally worth it! Make sure to book a reservation—even though we had one, we still waited around 15–20 minutes to be seated. The service was excellent, the staff were welcoming, and they truly made the experience unforgettable. We visited the branch near Tivoli Gardens, and the view was amazing, especially at sunset. Our order & ratings: • Kani Korokke – 10/10 • Mamma Mia Roll – 8/10 • Shake NY – 9/10 • Shake Tataki – 10/10 • Green Gate Salad – 8/10 • Tuna Tartare Bites – 100/10 (absolutely incredible!) • Wagyu Bites – 10/10 • Eringi – 7/10 • Shake Teriyaki – 10/10 • Shrimp – 10/10 • Ala Ebi Yaki – 7/10 Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, great vibes, and a memorable dining experience in Copenhagen.
I recently visited this sushi restaurant, and it was a great experience. The location is fantastic, with a beautiful view of Tivoli Park, which made the atmosphere even nicer. We had a glass of Chardonnay, and it was really tasty – a perfect choice to go with our meal. We ordered the menu set, which came with a mix of starters, sushi, and grilled sticks. Everything was delicious, but the standouts for us were the shake takataki and the beef fillet with miso stick. Both dishes were full of flavor and cooked just right. The only thing that could’ve been better was the speed of service, as the food took a bit of time to arrive. But other than that, we really enjoyed everything and would recommend it to anyone who loves sushi and a nice view.
It's a cool rooftop place to eat. You can sit outside as well. Fast and lovely service. And the sushi. What should I say? Imagine one of your favorite adjectives you use for a perfect meal you like. A little bit expensive, simply enjoy your stay. Would come back at any time. Thx to the team!
(I am writing this from my fathers account) We went here for my little sisters birthday. We mixed up the locations, and were supposed to be at the tivoli hotel sticks n’ sushi instead. But the kind restaurant manager let us found a solution and found us a table. We were five people including myself. We ordered drinks, which were very nice. Then we ordered starters, and let me tell you, it tased like heaven. We ordered; the cauliflower, gyoza, ebi bites, karaage, grilled broccoli, and Kani korokke. Absolutely mouth drooling. For the sticks and sushi part, we ordered; 3 Tsukune chilli and 2 tsukune, 2 gohan, nanban roll, ebi panko roll, soft shell maki, etc. Everything was absolutely delicious. And the waiter (Haroon) was super friendly, kind and tentative. One of the best waiters I’ve been served by, might I say. Also I can’t forget to mention the view 😍 This is a must visit restaurant.
The food was very tasty. They have a vegan option that is super good. It’s a menu with different dishes, so you can try a lot of delicious flavours! I specially loved the fried mushrooms 🍄 The same was also nice, but a bit weird to drink it from a wine cup.
It was another level of sushi experience. We came here to celebrate on our wedding day. We took Carpe Diem menu for two and it was amazing, we recommend to everyone. Also, the staff was very nice and offered a free champagne for our celebration that day🥺. I am sure that this place will be No.1 reason to come back and visit Copenhagen again🥰❤️
I’ve had a lovely experience here! Very friendly and genuine staff that’s really caring for your experience. I got the vegetarian menu and it was just all so delicious! I definitely recommend going here, even by yourself it’s a nice experience with good food. It is a bit more pricey than most places, but it is absolutely worth it and u deserve to treat yourself!!
This is a great spot for sushi in Copenhagen! We sat outside, and the weather was perfect with a beautiful view of the surrounding buildings, including Tivoli Gardens. It really added to the whole experience. We ordered the ceviche, beef tataki, and a maki rolls combo. Honestly, the beef tataki and ceviche were the absolute stars… so flavorful and fresh. Just thinking about them makes me salivate. We also had a cocktail with passion fruit and Japanese liquor (I don’t remember the name!) we absolutely love it! The service was excellent, probably the best we had during our trip, friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. The maki combo was a nice mix, some rolls were truly amazing, others more average, but overall still really enjoyable. I highly recommend this place!
Visited today on our first day in Copenhagen- and it was a wonderful experience! We opted for the lunch specials- there were 3 so we ordered them all and split them- the fried blue oyster mushrooms with chili sauce were incredible! As was the salmon bowl, shishito skewers and really all of it. Ask for a table on the wall- it overlooked Tivoli Gardens and was just magical!
I had heard so many great things about Sticks'n'Sushi for years, I was afraid I would be disappointed. We were not! We got a wonderful table near the windows with views over Tivoli garden. The atmosphere was lively and the service was friendly. I've had more refined food experiences, but I would say at this price (so many great set menus to choose from) the food is pretty amazing! Even Wagyu-beef was on the set menu! Drinks were good as well. My only complaint would be that the table and the menu were a bit sticky. Definitely going back next time we're in Copenhagen!
We enjoyed William's service tonight. We had an incredible meal. The entire experience is one we shall always remember. Beautiful astounding gardens beneath us and impeccable service. 👌
Ate here on Christmas and if I could leave 6 stars I would! The staff here is wonderful. Everyone is friendly, and helpful and awesome at their job. Additionally, the atmosphere is one-of-a-kind. The restaurant overlooks Tivoli park and is very beautiful at night. The staff and venue merit a 5-Star review on their own but having the best food in Copenhagen puts this restaurant over-the-top. This place is a no-brainer if you want the best experience. A+, 5-Stars, Perfect!!
The staff was kind. We were late but they helped us to find a table. As it was the first time for us the waiter recommended a menu. Finally, we decided to try this. It is called “As Good As It Gets” and the name is perfect. The amounf ot the food was not too much but thanks to the lot of different and perfect tastes, it was more then enough. And do not forget to try their coctails, as well. This place is amazing.
Maybe the best sushi restaurant in Copenhagen. The food is amazing, there is a good variety of drinks as well. The staff is really kind and helpful, the service is very quick. The view over Tivoli is also nice, it is worth sitting close to the windows or on the terrace. The prices are high, but totally worth the experience.
Can’t give this place enough stars for a fine dining experience outside of Trivoli. Waiting for desert as my palate has been highly fulfilled.
This is the best sushi in CPH. Depending on where you get seated, you can even get to see the Tivoli Garden. The food is absolutely amazing and the service is inpeccable.
this place is a hidden jewel... at street level you just find an unassuming elevator door with a chopsticks icon to its right... upstairs you find indoor and balcony seating in a well appointed locale... seems you need a reservation to eat inside... without a reservation we sat outdoors with a wonderful night view of Tivoli... wow!!!... even got a glimpse of a theater performance from afar as well as of several of the park rides... heaters are present and blankets are available for a cool evening... overall ambiance, service, food and cocktails were great... recommend you try this restaurant
Just a wonderful place to eat tasty Japanese food. The service is on a high level. The guys were attentive and nice. The food was delicious. A 💯 recommendation to visit. Plus a great view as it's a rooftop place.
Really the best sushi that I had in Europe! Definitely worth it! Superb food and service🤗Also the rooftop is amazing😍 highly recommend to try👍🏼
Great views of Tivoli and great food.
Really!!! Everything was perfect, the food, the conditions, and the view were all outstanding.
Just an amazing place! We ordered 'as good as it gets' and it was excellent! Two preparations of salmon, scallops and tuna all delicately prepared. The fresh fare with warm sake was an awesome way to while away a pleasant rainy evening here on Copenhagen. Highly recommended!!
From the moment you step into Sticks'n'Sushi, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's modern decor is stylish and elegant, with sleek wooden tables and chairs and soft lighting that creates a cozy and intimate ambiance. The menu at Sticks'n'Sushi is extensive, with a wide variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and grilled meat skewers to choose from. The quality of the food is exceptional, with fresh and flavorful ingredients that are expertly prepared and beautifully presented. One of the standout dishes at Sticks'n'Sushi is the salmon tartare roll, which features tender chunks of fresh salmon mixed with avocado and spicy mayo, all wrapped in a delicate rice paper wrapper. The grilled beef skewers are also a must-try, with juicy and tender meat that is perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. The service at Sticks'n'Sushi is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who are always on hand to offer recommendations and ensure that your dining experience is enjoyable and memorable. Overall, Sticks'n'Sushi is a fantastic restaurant that offers a unique and delicious culinary experience in a stylish and inviting setting. Whether you're a sushi lover or simply looking for a great meal in Copenhagen, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
Very cozy and romantic atmosphere. Sushi was good. Great views of Tivoli Gardens. Wonderful staff who even offered us water while we waited for takeaway. Wait was a bit longer than expected and longer than we were told but the place was visibly busy so it was understandable.
I really enjoyed eating here alone at the bar. The staff was caring and attentive and the food was good. Why not 5 stars you ask? Well.. I eat sushi everywhere I go and on different price levels. Was the presentation of the sushi spectacular: yes.. Was the texture and flavour of the signature rolls good, absolutely... But was it worth the approx 90 euro euro? Here I am in doubt. I have had much better for this price level. I think 50 euro is a fair price for this dish and with that I include presentation and location (experience) in the price. So yeah, price level is my major critique point and at same time I would consider coming back to test the other dishes, which is a statement of quality.
Amazing food, but the service was terrible. Each drinks round took 20-30 minutes to arrive.
Very good location and modern look of the restaurant. It`s on the upper floor so depending on your seat, you get to look over Tivoli Garden while you dine. The food was super delicious, absolutely fine. The service was young, spirited and helpful. Watching the cooking in the open kitchen was super entertaining and awesome. Bit pricey to really fill yourself up.
One of the best Sushi restaurants in Europe, the food is delicious, staff are friendly, food presentation could be slightly better… the service-production was slow as our order took around 45 minutes or more to be ready . The prices are high but quality to money value is acceptable.
The sushi was delicious but the price did not match. The fish was fresh and the sushi was served rather classic than exceptional. The service was good; however, if you plan to eat sushi in Copenhagen there are better places for less money with a larger variety of flavors in the sushi. See my profile for inspiration.
Amazing wagyu bites and gyoza. Excellent sushi! Sticks (salmon and momo nanban) were less special . Beautiful Tivoli views ❤️
Sushi just about met our expectations, and we were left very satisfied. The restaurant is quite spacious, and service was attentive. The yakitori could have been less salty, but I did really enjoy the pork one!
This is a great place to eat, not so much because of the food which is only average in my opinion and slightly pricey, but mostly due to the ambience, great service and view over Copenhagen and Tivoli from the rooftop. Sticks’n’sushi is an international chain of sushi restaurants and beside sushi they specialize in yakitori which means “grilled bird” (chicken) I love karaage chicken but the one we had here was just ok and the sushi was not very inspiring. I didn’t get the feeling that the chef was a real sushi chef. But the service is very friendly and we had a good time after all. It’s a shame that the food wasn’t impressive because we would like to come back. The entrance is from outside Tivoli but you can enter from Tivoli in the northeastern corner. It’s a tourist place, the ambiance is trendy international and it’s clean and tidy. There is a bit of noise from the street if you sit outside on the western balcony which has some very nice lounges. I think we will be back for some 🍹 cocktails one evening.
The starters are simply delicious, especially the wagyu tartare with real caviar! Meanwhile the sushi and the skewers were just ok. Service it's pretty standard, only the girl at the bar counter was friendly and very nice. The furniture it's a lil dated but the view of Tivoli garde are beautiful. Highly recommended.
Located just outside (but kinda inside!) Tivoli Gardens, Sticks ‘n’ Sushi delivers the perfect combo of high end sushi and delicious yakitori. First of all, the location is amazing with huge windows overlooking Tivoli Gardens and an outside patio if the weather is nice. The sushi is artfully presented and the yakitori was some of the best we have had outside of Japan. The restaurant is modern and clean with very nice toilets. What knocks it down from 5 stars is the service and the prices. I know Copenhagen is a very expensive city, but prices here seemed excessive even for Copenhagen. Service was just OK. It was very slow, items were forgotten and even though the restaurant was empty, there seemed to be confusion in who was helping us. That all being said, if you don’t mind the prices it is worth a visit!
This was one of my favorite restaurants while living in London. The food, as usual was fantastic. A few things occurred that made this experience less than perfect. You can decide for yourself if you think it’s important. 1) Our drink orders throughout the night took incredibly long to fulfill. Half an hour for any drink and the wine didn’t come in time to eat with the food. To me that’s a no-go. Mind you, the food was delivered very quickly. The restaurant needs to we think it’s logistics for the bar. 2) Six of us went there to enjoy a nice evening with all adults. We love children, but shortly after we arrived, they sat a young family with two young children /toddlers who were incredibly out of control, screaming like they were in the playground. 3) Our server, while she was sweet, was inaudible over the noise. Several of our party hadn’t been to the restaurant before, so any explanations she gave on the food may as well have never happened. Some training would help here. 4) We also experienced an inconsistency with the way in which the drinks were made. At these prices, we shouldn’t have such issues.
sticks n sushi is okay? nothing really to write home about, the flavors were okay overall, but there was a lot missing we had one of the tasting menus, and while we mostly enjoyed the actual food, something made my fiancée extremely sick, and we needed to leave before dessert it was hard to get any waiters' attention when trying to leave - all of the staff were more concerned about cleaning up on a sunday night around 21:00 i believe it was the wagyu tartare dish with nori (pictured) that had my fiancée throwing up that night, but i will spare those details the price is pretty high ($300) for what you get - yes it was a number of dishes, but they seemed to come together, and it was not a true tasting menu experience we sat there at the bar and still managed to be ignored for the most part? there were no plates or napkins, and we were eating off of what was served furthermore, we never received additional water or drinks - instead, they came to collect the water pitcher very confused, to be honest, i think just order some of the yakitori or grilled foods if you must come here one should just visit johns hot dog deli across the street imo
The food was good but have never felt so rushed and almost unwelcome at a restaurant. We where sat at the bar to wait for our table, getting seated 10-15 minutes past our reservation. The staff was sweet, but they constantly came by to ask to take the plates, which stille had food on them, getting the feeling of getting rush and having to be constantly aware or I would loose my dinner. They came by before our original two hours where up just to let os know that they needed the table soon, and a little while after announcing they would be bringing the bill down cause they really needed the table (like five minutes ago). We had ordered what we where recommended, so they could have not recommend that or said that it would take too long to actually get to enjoy. Or they could have done the introduction and given us the menu at the bar if it was such a rush.
