Great chips and salsa, beer is cold, they do not serve any tap beers here. The happy hour is very affordable and has a good selection of quick bites. We ordered the Mexican corn, it was leaving a bit to be desired. The service here was quick and they were very attentive, the burrito is huge and they have a great selection of tequilas. I will be back, hopefully they get a little more authentic with their corn rather than trendy.

My short rib burrito was to die for. However we also ordered another burrito and chose to get the sauces, with kind of took away from the flavor of the burrito itself. The service was fantastic although it did take a little while for our check to be collected

Stopped for a drink and apps. Was not disappointed. Drinks were good. Service was great. We tried the chicken tacos, which were good, but a bit messy.

This place should be 5 stars!! Great Mexican flavour! Margaritas are the bomb! The table side guac is amazing! No complains on food whatsoever! The only down is the hostess is not efficient and very slow. Server did a great job.

Great dinner while vacationing in Kauai! We came just after they merged the upstairs and downstairs locations and had very friendly service and a delicious meal! Great ambiance on the patio with beautiful mood lightening and people walking by enjoying the nice weather. Make sure and come on Thursday for $5 house margaritas and order the chicken enchiladas - absolutely delicious!

Meh food, clumsy service I would give it worse but they at least tried to be nice. Fish was way over cooked. Ceviche was only OK and the server spilled all over us. Oh well. The salsa and guacamole were decent.

A+ for ambiance and location. But price was a bit steep for portion sizes. MOST of us got full off of our meal, thankfully, but the pricetag at the end was a bit much (even for Hawaii). $24 for a very small plate of enchiladas (think snack plate) and a small side of rice. Also, while the waitress was friendly, drinks and water were not refilled quick enough. And the meat contained quite a bit of fat that was inedible making small portions even smaller.

I have been to this resturant twice now. Recently took my family here for mothers day. I would say the food is mediocre- nothing was terrible about it but nothing too exciting either. Service was poor- we didn't get the drinks we ordered until after our food came and we still had to remind our waitress. It has a very nice out door patio but the flies were so bad we were unable to enjoy our meal. Torrilla Republic has a nice ambience but food and service is average

Food was decent, but overpriced. For the record, we ate in the downstairs 'casual' level. Upon check-in, we were told it would be a wait, but then they seated us immediately, but warned us it could be a wait even as they seated us. Confused? We were too. Service was less than stellar. Drinks sat empty and we received two baskets of tiny fragments of what may have been tortilla chips in a previous life. (Another server came by and noticed, and fixed without asking). Biggest complaint, no ability to mix and match tacos.

I was very disappointed with this place visited with a group of five on a Saturday night. I live on Oahu and really wanted some good Mexican food. I am from Southern California and was really excited to try this place seeing that it had roots from southern California. Made reservations via Open Table for 5. Arrived 15 minutes early and was seated right away. We sat for a good 10 to 15 minutes before any one came to the table. The server was very nice nothing to bad to say about her. The place and the atmosphere was very nice. The food was subpar. I got the Shrimp fajitas. The tortillas we crunchy from straying in the warmer too long. The Vegetables were caramelized. The beans were heavily salted. Just very disappointing. The whole tables dinners was subpar. Maybe the chef had a bad night. Not sure................
