There are cafés and cafés. And then there's Delicias. There, on the corner of Cuatro Caminos, its legendary red sign has been embedded since 1958. Since then, it's welcomed dozens and dozens of Coruña residents who see it as an icon of resistance against a wave of modern hospitality that's sweeping everything away. Yes, scarfing down Argentine beef burgers with japapenos at a 1950s Danish table is cool. But sitting on those creaking wooden chairs and enjoying a bonbon delicias is also cool. Even cooler. That bonbon delicias is nothing more than a black coffee with condensed milk, a delicacy that lives up to the establishment's name: it's delicious. Delicias is a place like those that no longer exist. One of those with large windows, marble tables, domino games, and a Deportivo poster. All with the yellowed varnish of time. The kind of things that truly come of age. What modern people call vintage differs from retro in its authenticity. It's essential to put that term aside here, because Delicias has nothing to do with it. In this café, one can experience the quintessence of the A Coruña human melting pot. One goes there when dawn begins to give way to day, and bingo players, revelers whose night has been too short, taxi drivers finishing their shift, dock workers indulging in a morning treat, and local early risers eager for a newspaper gather.

El peor café que he probado en mi vida. Digo probado porque no he sido capaz de beberlo

La peor experiencia gastronómica que he tenido en Coruña. Quien atiende es muy tosco y poco amable. La comida no estaba nada rica. El ambiente es horrible. Gente a los gritos, apostando, borrachos de la calle, espantoso realmente. No volveré bajo ningún concepto.

Pedimos un café con leche normal y pagamos un café con hielo.Pedimos el ticket y nos lo dio de muy mala gana. No volveremos.

El camarero del local es un maleducado,se puso a gritar para echar a la gente

I think it's outrageous to pay 2.40 for an Americano when I can just go to a supermarket and buy a pound of coffee. I'm never coming back.

I went to the adjoining bar this morning, which I assume is owned by the same person, and they charged me €8 for two coffees. It's illegal in Spain to raise prices on holidays, so think twice next time.

The waiter was rude and arrogant. You ask him if they have tapas, he says no, and then offers them to the person behind you. The place is filthy. I wouldn't eat anything in that dive. And the waiter was smoking inside. One of the guys with glasses and thinning hair, his name is Javier. The toilet water leaks outside... best to hold it.

This morning I went to get a coffee. The service was awful; the man was quite grumpy. He took my coffee away before I'd even finished it, looking very rude. I ordered it hot, but he gave it to me cold. It's not the first time I've been here; I came a few months ago, and it was practically the same experience. They gave me a dirty cup, and the girl inside was very rude to me. I won't be back!

This is the first time in my life I've written a negative review. I worked next door 20 years ago, and today I happened to be passing by and went into the corner café for a coffee at 4:00 PM. The person who was there at the time was incredibly rude and unpleasant, and I'd rather leave it at that, but honestly, it's been years since I've seen anything like it. We felt like leaving when we ordered, but we took what we ordered and left. As we suspected, everything was awful. What a shame about Delicias…

We went for breakfast, and a dry croissant, my partner ordered toast which was small pieces of bread, and coffee with milk was just coffee with a drop of milk, the poor waiter couldn't take it anymore, he didn't understand anything
