We had dinner and breakfast at this lovely cafe, a gem in La Macarena. Love the eclectic decoration, where junk becomes useful art. The food and service were excellent. The breakfast served exceeded our expectations, so good that I remarked I hope we will have another breakfast on this trip which beats this. It’s a great place to hang out and escape from the searing sun.

The place is very unique, furnished with recycled furniture and objects. Your gaze is constantly drawn to the ornaments, paintings, books, rag dolls hanging from the ceiling, and plants. We went there for both breakfast, since our guesthouse offered it there, and dinner. Breakfast was very generous, with yogurt, granola, juice, pancakes and jam, and a stuffed omelette. For dinner, I really appreciated the menu featuring more than one vegetarian dish: causa peruana, waffles, spaghetti, mango ceviche, quiche, arepa (excellent), and baked potatoes (the best here in Colombia). The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed, and there's no wifi, which I hope will continue to be the case, because, alas, we've lost the memory of how wonderful it is to spend time chatting or playing board games!

I'll start this off by saying that the majority of the food and drinks here were great. However we had a couple bad experiences so I cannot recommend going. We ate here for 5 meals, the majority of which were included in tours we did with our hotel and so didn't pay directly for these, but paying was the main issue we had. The first visit we had when we received the bill, the prices were 1.5-2 times those on the menu we had. When confronted, they brought out a different menu showing the higher prices. We didn't pay for a meal there after that... but, we did get ants on one of our granolas. Also, less of a complaint, but we received a lot of toast with no condiments. This was strange to our Colombian guide as well.

The place is nice, however, the drinks are ridiculously expensive. I know the prices of similar products in other places, and I think they took advantage of us tourists!
