Delicious down home cooking right on the beach

My friend and I arrived quite late and the kitchen was closing but the owner very kindly arranged for us to get food and drinks which was much appreciated after a long day. The food arrived quickly and was very tasty, would recommend this local family run place! Thanks again!

Delicious food, fair prices and friendly staff. We got the chance to get to know the grandson of the founder of La Ventana, a former pearl diver turned fisherman. He proudly showed us a National Geographic edition of 1972 explaining his grandad’s history. We much appreciated this glimpse of the town’s history.

Incredible seafood and great quantity for the prices. We got a massive plate of catch of the day, yellowtail. The pina colada’s and shrimp tacos are amazing as well. We will definitely be back next visit.

Delicious! 😋 I ate one of their speciality, the chile relleno de queso y camarones served with rice and tortillas. Service is good and the owner, Joaquin, is very welcoming and entertaining. The restaurant is just by the beach so the ocean view is spectacular while eating. Buen provecho!

Great food, I had the Chile rellenos con camarones y queso (stuffed poblano with shrimp and cheese) came with 2 huge chili's and a side of rice. It was really good. I think it was around $15 for that and a margarita.

Seriously excellent seafood - fresh and simple. You can’t go wrong with anything “al mojo”. My husband had the papas rellanas with carne asada. It’s a meat and potato lovers dream. He also had the frutas margarita which is delicious. Joaquin, the owner, was there to make sure we were happy. If it wasn’t, I know he would make it right. Great place to go with family. The restaurant is spacious and simple and they take credit card.

The food was great! The place and staff was just okay, hence why not giving it 5 stars. The garlic shrimp plate comes with rice, salad, and mashed potatoes. All were very good and the shrimp were big! Overall the views were great of all the kite boarders and windsurfers and wingfoilers. It was not crowded when we came in late December

Not my favorite local place. Often understaffed and can be a long wait for food depending on how busy they are. It is rarely busy though. Food is ok but not great. There is a nice beach side bar if it is open in case you want a margarita with a nice view. They are better local options.

Ordered the Shrimp Relleno. The pepper was still crunchy (al dente) and dish was bland overall. Not good for the high price. Good location though.

Came because it had high reviews. Left sorely disappointed. Very bland expensive food with no vegetables or salsas. Small and expensive basic drink. Server had zero experience. Every server there tried to clear my unfinished drink from my table. If you're gonna do basic Mexican fare you gotta price accordingly.
