Superb dinner at Papa Don's Taverna, which is based within The Windjammer Landings Resort Hotel. The food was absolutely delicious. Would also recommend the Tiramisu for dessert.

Food was very good ! Tasty, but thinnest seabass, or any fish I’ve ever ordered. Great people ! Lots of parents with kids probably due to the tasty pizzas.

I wasn’t really that interested in going to Papa Dons as I didn’t fancy eating Italian on my Caribbean holiday, but my partner fancied it so what am I to do? But I am so glad we went, because the Tuscan Pasta was to die for! The portion size was very generous, and I wasn’t able to finish it (I had the leftovers in a doggy bag and was able to enjoy it for lunch the next day). While you’re waiting for your food you’re treated to complimentary bread, and I love bread (there were two types and I think one was a tomatoey one which was really nice). Even better, the sparkling wine was only $5 - absolute bargain (though I assume that’s the case in the rest of the resort too). And of course, the service was brilliant, everyone was friendly and attentive. Do yourself a favour and eat here at least once during your stay (even if you’re “breakfast only” like we were, it is worth it).

Other than the steakhouse, it is the best restaurant in the villa!

This is one of the four restaurants in the Windjammer Landing Resort in St Lucia. This one specializes in Italian food but all of the restaurants are splendid. The wait staff is attentive, professional, andextremely well trained. The food is top notch in both quantity and quality, and beautifully presented. The prices are upscale, but so is the restaurant. Remember this is an island nation. 😊

Had another great dinner at Papa Don's. We had snapper and sea bass - both very good. We needed gluten free and they actually had gluten free baguette! Great, friendly service from Nathalie.

Absolutely the best customer service. The manager and her staff were very good. Dave, entertainer, made our daughter's birthday memorable! And yes the food was excellent as well.

The food here was amazing and a nice alternative to the other restaurants on the resort. Wait staff were always so helpful and willing to discuss with you about their home. Highly recommend!

When I stay in St Lucia, my first night arriving ritual is to have dinner at Papa Don’s located in the Windjammer Landing resort and villas north of Castries. It’s Italian pastas, pizza and seafood (menu attached) all reasonably priced, with a decent portion size, everything is made fresh and the seafood changes (catch of the day) lots of Mahi Mahi, or snapper as a local fish. Service is Caribbean speed, so don’t expect to be rushed, but service is attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is terrific, as it’s open air dining cliff side, with pools on the lower levels and lots of vegetation. The local cats come around looking for handouts, so if you don’t like cats this might annoy you, for me a good chunk of my fish was donated to their tummies! This year my only complaint is the discontinued take out, I normally get a pizza to take back to the villa for the kids but this apparently, is no longer offered! Overall a great Caribbean vibe place to go for Italian with or without kids when visiting beautiful St Lucia!

Seafood pasta was good. Not extremely complex. Pasta with meat sauce was ok...plain.

Food was good. Seabass was a little dry. I watched it sit under the heat lamp for over 10 minutes before it was served. The Lamb Shenk was delicious. The gravy was amazing. Service was very good, but we arrived around 6:30. They were just opening and everyone seemed to have several other jobs besides serving. That's why the food sat under the warmer so long. All in all I'd give the experience 4.5 stars.

Absolutely lovely staff, very attentive and nice. Food was delicious, but desserts (as with all the desserts at the resort) were lacking. It's tucked away from the rest of the resort. You need a shuttle to get there. It's beautiful, but annoying that you need to get a ride.

Ah, Papa Don's Taverna, the crown jewel of hilltop dining in St. Lucia! Now, let me tell you, if you're staying across the way like we were, the location is a chef's kiss—perfecto! It's just a short stroll up the hill, so you can work up a nice appetite or, as I like to say, justify that extra slice of pizza later on. Plus, it's conveniently right next to a pool. Who needs a gondola ride when you can cannonball right after dinner, eh? Now, let's talk ambiance. Some nights after 7 PM, they’ve got live music that’ll make you want to twirl your napkin in the air like a true Italian! It's a white tablecloth kind of place, so dress up like you're about to meet the Godfather himself. As for the food, they've got a specialized pizza oven—yes, on this island! And let me tell you, the pizza is as good as it gets for being "island Italian." The Don pizza? Mwah! Best value at $20, and it’s actually worth it! But then you look at the menu, and suddenly your wallet's trembling. $14 for 5 slivers of pita bread and a splash of hummus? Mama mia, what is this, a culinary shakedown? So here’s the deal: Papa Don’s is a good spot, especially if you're in the mood for some island-style Italian. But listen to me, paisan, the all-inclusive plan is the way to go if you don’t want to feel like you’re handing over your life savings for a piece of bread. Enjoy the hilltop views, savor the tunes, and if you go, remember—the Don pizza is the real boss here.

The restaurant was nice but I think a bit over hyped. The staff made the visit amazing so kudos to them.

Went with family, waited 1.5 hours and ate the food in only 15 minutes. Delay was due to a pizza oven issue I didn't care about. Staff were good about the issue but definitely don't go if sensitive to heat.

Food looks good, smells good, but tastes bland. Even my pepperoni pizza was bland. Wife's lasagna was a bit burned and crispy. The atmosphere was nice and the raspberry sorbet that came with the lemon tart was amazing. Lemon tart just average though. We would stick to Indian food in Rodney Bay if we came again.

Thought we would eat here one evening, my first problem was not being able to see the menu due to it being to dark, part of the resturant is under a roof with lighting and part under a gazebo with no lighting, the only light is a small led lamp on your table. We didnt get asked where we would like to sit and this would not be my choice, I had the steak or should I say the fat, half on my plate was fat even the cat refused to eat it, misses had the lamb which she said was good, I also ordered a pizza not much choice, it tasted of tomatoe purree, yes I know pizza is topped with tomatoe base but that was all you could taste and it was like just eating tomatoe purree. The heat was a killer, no fans no aircon, this makes enjoying a meal very difficult, all you are thinking about is getting out. The background music was so loud it was difficult to talk to each other, it was a live artist and like being in a bar rather than having a meal. I would not recommend this place. Price will cost you around 150-200 USD per person. Ouch.

Just disappointing, catch of the day ( kingfish) felt like it was caught some days ago and prepared in the morning, not to mention tasteless. You have so much fresh produce and fish on the island and comparing it to whatever they serve here it's quite shocking..don't start me on the price for what you get. two stars only because your staff is wonderful

Disgraceful starters at Papa Don's. Who in their right mind accepts that this is $14 (+ 10% Service Charge & 7% tax) worth of whipped feta and hummus. Absolutely disgusting. I am appalled that they believe this is an acceptable portion to give.

Totally not worth it. From other reviews not sure what other people think ‘fresh food’ looks like but it certainly isn’t this. You would have a better frozen pizza from the shop. Also ordered arancini but was a ball of mush with no flavour. So uncomfortably hot sat in the restaurant - not nearly enough fans or breeze and just added to a poor experience.

I have never had a pizza I can’t eat before! To be fair the manager dealt with it very well and we received a replacement v quickly. This is a place young families go with their kids.

The cats take over while dining. I'm not a fan of the fury creatures especially not while I'm dinning & they're begging. Actually I'm scared to death of cats and almost turned the table over when one pounced on the rail right bedside me table and I'm was sure my table was next. What about ppl that are ALLERGIC to cats. The Windjammer resort had stray cats crawling in every dinning area. I will NEVER return. I've NEVER experienced this on any other island. I mentioned it to the front desk clerk and he showed no concern. The restaurant manager apologized but nothing more. My meal was good but I couldn't enjoy it from fear and literally being in tears😢😭😢😭😢😭😢😭😢😭😢😭😢
