Bumblebee Man Taco Truck offers decent tacos, especially the carnitas, but is considered overpriced for the quality and location within Universal Studios. Some customers find it a faster alternative to Moe's, while others have experienced poor service.
Tip: If you're looking for a quick bite while at Universal Studios and want to avoid long lines at Moe's, this could be a decent option, but be prepared for higher prices.
Bumblebee Man Tacos are a great place to grab a bite to eat if you happen to be passing by Simpsons land. Although $12 for two tacos does seem like a ripoff they are pretty big tacos and tasty ones as well. They also come with chips and salsa.
Great place for a quick bite. The nachos are the best. It’s also next to lard lad donuts so you can get brunch like we did .. breakfast donut and nacho lunch all at once.
These tacos are yummy. Would definitely recommend especially since all of the Simpsons food options in the food court style area is way more difficult to navigate. Plenty of seating nearby the food truck
Surprisingly great food and a quick stop to fill up.
Great korean beef tacos!
Some of the best food in the park
I ate 4 beef tacos here on one day and an order of the nachos here on another day, food was delicious.
These are actually half-decent tacos, which is really saying something for theme park food. If this were located elsewhere, I would not give such a high rating. But for food located on Universal property, this is about as good as it gets. Honestly, these tacos are 2x better than anything else in the park, and 4x better than anything at Antojitos, the sit-down Mexican place in CityWalk. I would definitely recommend this place.
For an amusement park $11 meal, these nachos were more than enough to fill me up. I went from very hungry to clutching my stomach, 10/10 would gorge myself again.
I went during summer of 2021. Idk if it was because I was starving or what but this are some of the best tacos ever! The tacos are enough of a reason to go back!
Best koren beef tacos! Wasent expecting a lot and was very pleased with the flavors, chips were yummy as well.
This place is fantastic. Great grab and go spot and it’s a guaranteed pit stop for my crew every trip. These are not gourmet tacos. These are not authentic tacos. They are however, a great taco to grab while between rides or beers in simpsons land! 10/10 will eat again.
Some of the very best tacos I have ever had! Super fresh, high quality, absolutely amazing ingredients! Totally crave worthy! Had it for lunch, just may have to have it for dinner too. That's how good it was!
Surprised the ratings are so low as I didn't really mind these tacos. Especially considering the lack of better options at Universal Studios, I wouldn't know where else to eat that would be better! We ordered the carnitas and carne asada, which were $13 and $15, respectively. This is a bit high but you are also paying exorbitant prices for everything here so I put it in perspective. The wait was also pretty long. We were able to order almost immediately but there were a lot of people waiting for their food. It comes with two tacos, chips and salsa. I do think that it should come with three tacos but that probably won't change. I thought the tacos tasted good - I had to put the salsa on to flavour them up a bit, but that's what salsa is for! Overall I would recommend this place for a light meal. You'll definitely have space for snacks later!
Good stop, good food
These tacos are great!!! Expensive and its not fast food, so be patient. Great tacos.
best Korean beef tacos and chicken tacos
The food was amazing, we had carnitas tacos
Good tacos ! Very reasonable prices. If you’re looking for a lighter meal this is a great choice
Had carne asada tacos with chips and salsa. Quick and flavorful but bland salsa.
The Korean Beef Tacos weren't nearly korean enough. It vaguely tastes like it was inspired by bulgogi, and the cucumber radish topping seems like a missed opportunity to put some fermented veggies on top instead. I'd rather have straight up bulgogi with bean sprout or kimchi on top instead in a tortilla. With that being said, the taco was still good. Needs beans or cheese because there's so much meat and the cucumber radish doesn't have much flavor or volume to counteract it.
Not the best taco's ever but for a theme park these were pretty good. However I found the chips were really greasy sadly. I'll still be back.
Classic Simpsons stop. This little food truck stand is located by many other eating options, so I bought my nachos and took them into Moe's to eat with the rest of my family. There aren't a huge amount of options to pick from, but it's good food. The nachos were tasty and they prepare things quickly. I especially like the Mexican style horn that plays 'la cu ca racha' and other short car horn tunes when someone buys something.
Food is peanut/tree-nut free. Not many options but still pretty good. Prices are a bit high, but I suggest trying the chicken tacos if you are unsure of what to get. The meals come with two tacos and a side of chips.
I thought the tacos were good. We needed a bit of food, but nothing to weight us down, this was just right. As usual, typical park price gouging applies.... $$$ :-(
Tasty tacos with friendly service. It takes some time to wait for food, but it is hot and fresh.
Do people not realize this isn't "gourmet?" It's theme park food which is often subpar. This is no different! For $12+ tax you get 2 tacos, 10 chips & 2 tablespoons of salsa. Our family of 5 stopped here a couple times during our 11 hour park visit. Tried everything on the menu & recommend the carnitas tacos (with extra hot sauce) & the green salsa over the red to go with your chips. Service was mediocre, not particularly friendly, but what you'd expect from young kids working at a crowded theme park.
The standard for food at Universal is pretty low, as much as I love the parks overall. Food is where they often fall short. Bumblebee Man is probably one of the better options, but even that statement should be taken with a grain of salt. A taco option is fun, for certain. You can get 3 different meats in your tacos, and they all come with a side of chips. I really thought the tacos were decent. Especially when you compare them with other food options in the park. Tortilla chips are also a nice touch, though a lot of them were rather soggy and you don’t really get tortilla chips because they’re soft. You want a good crisp crunch so that fell short. This is an okay option if you really want something while walking around the parks. The line can get long and it’s slow which is also something to keep in mind. Bumblebee Man stings you in mostly the wrong way, unfortunately.
Needs work, guys. I haven't been to USO in quite a few years (7, I believe) so I was surprised to find this taco bus still here. It had been one of my favorites on that last trip. Not this time. The tacos were skimpy, the quantity of 'included' tortilla chips was comical, but worst of all the flavor was gone. Absent. Left the building. Made me sad. Please bring back the savory choices and don't be afraid to give people some FOOD for their money.
67/100: Tacos could have been more juicy and original. It didn't feel like food truck food.. bottom line: average waiting time (3-6 minutes per dish), high prices, food OK (beef tacos ok, chicken tacos are better). Strong recommendation to management: Remove the little song sound in the waiting line. It is exhausting to listen to.
Tourtilas could have been more authentic. I feel a taco truck has to have it down! The Korean beef had good flavor. Using a bit more fusion, perhaps some cilantro, would have topped it off. The two tacos come with chips but no salsa or pico. The carne asada appeared to be pot roast and not grilled. High expectations but low delivery.
Cheaper compared to other places but the tacos are not good at all. Just look at the pic
The tacos here were okay! Mediocre. My husband and I both agreed we have had much better tacos! Anyhow- it’s Universal- gotta eat something! lol
The most average taco I’ve ever had. Sets the bar for averageness.
Fine, not authentic tacos but more Americanized
I've had these tacos twice, and once they were awesome, and once they were so-so. At any rate, their food is gluten-free, as it can be served on corn tortillas or nachos. Hope for a good day and you'll be pleased.
Good for a theme park I suppose. Asked for some extra chips- they charged $4 for a handful. They will only give you ONE tiny cup of salsa. Taco sauce was similar to elementary school taco sauce.
Had all three types of tacos from here and for being inside universal as a quick service it was pretty good. These are not authentic and they’re not the best but for what it is they are good and filling.
Korean Beef tacos were amazing, but I waited a good 20 minutes to even order, with only 5 or 6 people in line, and waited another 10 for my food. Grab some tacos if the line is short!
The tacos were pretty good. They weren’t the best, but they weren’t bad either. The only problem is that the portions were pretty small for the price they were.
Acceptable food for location, but agonisingly slow service - it's two tortillas and a handful of nachos, shouldn't be a twenty minute wait!
Food was tasty and good meat portions per taco. Just took forever to get through the line. Could be more efficient.
I thought the tacos were pretty good and it was super quick. Better than some of the other food at Universal.
Ad simple as I can put this. The tacos are good, but they are way overpriced. I think this place gets patronage from people who look at the line going to Moe's tavern and prefer a quicker option to grab food. In my honest opinion I feel for the money it's worth it to join the long line. I have never been mad at my tacos from here but never felt justified by the price.
We’ve gotten tacos from this truck multiple times. The last several times, the employees have been beyond rude. Walking up to the window, you are not addressed or even acknowledged in being there. After placing my order, (which I had to speak first), I overheard the interaction of the gentleman behind me who was waiting to place his order. The girl at the register stood and starred at him for a long moment before finally saying, “are you gonna order?!” The gentleman, you could tell was shocked by the delivery and manner of this statement, responded with, “Oh! Yes ma’am”. As reading through some of these other reviews, it is clear that this is not the first time that encounters like this have happened. It’s truly disappointing and unfortunate that Bumblebee Man’s taco truck workers don’t live up to the expectations of a Universal employee.
Sad excuse for a taco.
The saying on your truck drives me insane. Bumble Bee man is Mexican and speaks Spanish. His catch phrase is ‘Ay Ay Ay’. You have ‘Ay Yi Yi’ on your truck and in Spanish ‘I’ makes an ‘E’ sound. So you have ‘Ay Yee Yee’ on the side of your truck and it drives me nuts.
Use to be one of our favorite spots but since the menu change that took place about a year ago, it's not what it used to be.
Tacos were just too salty for my taste. We tried all 3 taco options and regret the decision.
Disappointing. Super dry meat in a tortilla with some raw onion and a little cilantro. The side of salsa was the saving grace but once I ran out of that I couldn't eat anymore because they were so dry.
Wanted to eat here, bit every time we walked by the line for people wait for food was just as long as the one that people were paying. Seemed like it took way longer than it should have. We never got a chance to try them. Guess if you go at none lunch or dinner times.... might be better.
Barley any flavor at all and I got the carne asada tacos the chicken would have probably been worse
On a busy day like the weekend the line just does NOT move. Doesn't seem to be serving customers efficiently. Would recommend exiting the park and eating @ City Walk instead!
Disappointed! Have gotten tacos from here before and they were so much better. The service was terrible, no one addressed customers, and it seems that the portions are smaller than I recall in the past.
There was one girl working the entire truck all by herself. She moved as slow as possible. Took one person’s order then proceeded to prepare the order from start to finish, the clean the kitchen area, then restocked a bit, and then finally would get to the next guest. My friend and I went up to the window together. She placed her order first and then the girl walked away to start preparing the order. I had to call her back to the window to place my order, requesting that she makes both our orders simultaneously so they could come out together. 15 minutes later we got our tacos and my Korean beef tacos were grossly sweet. My friend said her tacos were good though. Also disappointed that the chips that come with the meal did come with some salsa on the side.
Food is horrible. 2 tacos with dried meat, sprinkles onions and a leaf of Cilantro -- this is called Tacos. Dont waste your money on it. I understand it's Disney prices, however the food is horrible.
Big difference from 3 years ago. Where did all the toppings go? Now all you get is 3 small pieces of meat, cilantro and raw onions with a side of a couple of chips and tiny cup of salsa. No lettuce, no cheese, no sour cream, no guacamole. The corn tortillas (can't have gluten) are dry and crumble. It was so dry that I only ate the meat and couldn't eat the rest. Definitely not worth $12.
Really, really salty and kind of a ripoff
the worst tacos I eat in my life, served cold no salsa on side with chips.
Placed an order for 3 people, the service was slow took an hour to get our orders and then they got our order wrong gave us only an order for 2. Stay away from this place
Hands down...worst taco I've ever had in my life. Stay clear of the Korean Beef.
The cashier rolled his eyes at us when we asked for corn tortillas for a gluten allergy
Worst tacos ever. Absolutely not worth the money.
Small portions, meat was stringy. Pass on this one or leave disappointed..
Worst and most expensive tacos of my life !!!
Tacos were very dry and so were the workers
Please go here if you want unpleasant surprises #SMH
2 hr wait for a non filled flour tortilla. A COLD TORTILLA! only get one star because Doc made the line entertaining.
Came from out of town, NOT good tacos. Waste of money. Very disappointed paid $16.00 for 2 tacos that were not worth it. DO NOT EAT HERE.
Food was just ok and warm- NOT HOT! But their service is horrible! I will not eat there again. Shame on them.
Went here and waiting for my food noticing people that ordered way after me getting their food and doesn't help that the employees look like they hate their lives/job..
Please understand that when I tell you that the Korean Beef Tacos were WAY too salty that I am the type of person who over-salts all food (even sandwiches and salads), there was no other flavor to them, the chips were plain, stale and had nothing to dip them into. Universal, if you're gonna price gouge at least make the food tolerable. The kid working the truck was very nice tho.
By far the worst food I had here at Universal, the chicken was grey and it looked so unappetizing I ended up throwing it out and going across the street to the food court for an edible meal waste of $20. The chips were stale and the salsa was the only good thing.
For quick service, you can do a lot better than this place. Tacos and chips were bland, salsa was awful and to top it off the gal behind the register seemed more interested in her phone/makeup than taking people's orders. Avoid.
Nasty chicken taco meal. No taste. Dry. Small portion on tacos and salsa. I wish I had looked at reviews prior. Our worst meal at Universal or hotel. Avoid it!
Waited in line for 30 minutes. Finally ordered my food, THEN was informed card machine was down and they were only accepting cash. Would have been nice to know ahead of time!
Tacos is good but the chips are too salty and no needed to talk about the service there's none. Please put a smile on that face
Korean beef tacos were not good at all, guy at the cashier seemed lost and had to continually ask for my drinks, I only enjoyed the chicken tacos.
I’d like to take a moment to share my experience after waiting in line for 45 minutes with only five people ahead of me at the taco truck at Universal Studios Orlando. To me, this is an example of DEI hiring and what will do to America that is not hiring people based on qualifications since clearly no one that worked here had any. 45 minutes to service five people only to be the absolute rudest most disrespectful customer service I have ever seen. The woman at the register that worked Saturday march 18 approximately noon Eastern Was the most miserable, rude, disrespectful person representing a company that I have ever encountered. After waiting an additional 18 minutes for a total of 53 minutes to get four beef tacos that were warm at best. They were literally thrown at me. Every single family in line were joking about how rude the woman at the register was. Since she did not wear a name tag, I can only Identify her by the time and date that she was working. Her coworkers were just as rude as they tossed us our food did not say thank you, did not smile, did not apologize for the one hour wait. When she finally took our order, we felt like we were in deep trouble for giving them business. It makes me sick that people sit out of work and people like this take their jobs for granted. Formerly owning a 52 store national restaurant chain, the way we retreated really struck accord with me. The entire staff that day needs to be fired on the spot.
Not disgusting but not good either. Dry expensive tacos.
I am sad to say this is a no go. A few years ago this little taco truck was much better. They used to serve these really great nachos and the meats we’re Korea style. It was really great then. Now they only offer three types of tacos chicken, beef, and pork. I ordered pork and got an uncooked tortilla with pork and onions on it for 11 bucks. Pass this up and grab a burger inside instead.
Bumblebee Tacos at Universal Studios was not so good. We had the chicken and the Carne asada tacos. Carne (steak) was very tough and couldn't swallow. You only get 2 soft tacos of each kind and extra salty taco chips. No distinctive taste in the green salsa or the red salsa and you get about a tablespoon full in the container. Won't eat here again, we don't recommend.
Unfortunately they have stopped serving their best item. They no longer have the Korean braised beef nachos. A horrible decision. It was one of the best items in the park. In fact it was the only item we would purchase every trip. Sweet Korean Beef, salty nacho cheese, and fresh salsa, spicy jalepeno peppers! The layers of flavor were amazing. Everyone please add reviews, and maybe they will bring them back.
Had high expectations for the korean beef taco but was let down terribly. Reason being the beef was overwhelmingly sour, salty and dry. I even tried to convince myself that it tasted good or at least had a unique/interesting taste given the price and the amount of time I waited in line for it however I ended up tossing the whole meal in the garbage after about 3 bites of the first taco, didnt even touch the second. Now that I think about it, the Korean beef taco was so bad I would have ate the paper bowl it was served in instead. Taco isnt worth your money, trust me!!!
How can ANYONE call these "tacos"?!? If you have ever even SMELLED a Latino food then do yourself a favor and save the $50 you'll spend on a few "tacos".This place came highly recommended by every one around the truck and it smelled very inviting. Then, after paying almost $90 for a tray of food, I realized that this was plastic food. Putting the name "taco" aside, this as food in general was GARBAGE. Tortillas tasted like plastic, meat was tough, dry and flavorless. Yes, the sauce they pour over it was flavorful, but the meat itself tasted like plastic. Wish I could give this, and every food stop in universal studios(got a bunch of hair in my pink Homer Simpson doughnut)ZERO STARS.
Used to be great but the latest time the chips were stale, chicken was dry and over seasoned and I wouldn’t even feed it to my dog.
Multiple members of our party are 100% gluten free by choice as they feel better overall without it. It’s not a diagnosed allergy and we were informed by the woman working the window this morning that we were not able to order tacos with corn tortillas since those were solely for people with an allergy. Hopefully other locations at Universal accommodate those gluten free by choice.
I'd hate to do this, normally the food is good. But today we paid full price for cold tortillas, small portions of meat, and a few oversalted, stale chips. I expect better from Universal Resorts.
I was generally surprised by the high quality of food/drink at Universal- this taco stand being the sole exception. It has the distinction of being the worst park food and the worst tacos I've likely ever had. I don't blame the poor employees that are stuck in a trailer all day. $14 gets you two of the blandest tacos I've ever had, with bizarrely humongous slices of onion, some decent if greasy chips, and bland watery salsa. Best to be avoided if at all possible.
Absolutely disgusting. The food was so gross, the meat tasted old, and there was an after taste to it. No queso for your nacho chips. Very disappointed.
The food was terrible!!! Tortillas and tortilla chips were stale. Steak was cold and chewy. Spent $26 for crap food!!
