One weekend afternoon, we visited the Capital One Café in Irvine with the kids, who have their own Capital One accounts. I wanted to show them how to deposit money and use ATMs. Many customers were enjoying the open space, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They also offer a 50% discount on all drinks for Capital One cardholders, making the experience even better. Overall, it was a wonderful visit, and I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Visited Irvine Spectrum and needed a place to cool down and so happen to walk past this cafe. I've only seen the one located at The Americana in Glendale and never actually visited one until now. The day I went, the coffee's were free so that made the visit even worth it. The interior is nicely decorated and well taken care of. From the looks of it, people actually come to work or study so it's something of a change if you're not looking for boba shops or other coffee shops to do work because it's actually quiet in here. I'd make sure to come by or any other Capital One Cafe in the future for cheap or free drinks!

I was stoked when I heard the Capital One Cafe was coming to spectrum. I used to live in Santa Monica and would always be at the one there. I come here to work or grab half priced coffees. The vibe is always chill and there’s usually space for a laptop. Also, the 15 minute parking is super close for the days I just grab to go.

I wanted to give a shout-out to Tajee from Capital One! We met him while waiting in line for dinner at the spectrum and he overheard me talking about a recent experience we had with our former bank Chase. He joined in our conversation and let us know about the accounts Capital One offers and even took the time to sit down with my girlfriend and I to open up two new checking and savings accounts!! He even spent some extra time walking us through the features of the account and how to use credit wise too. We felt like we knew him for years how easy he made it. Cheers Tajee!

I go to the spectrum a lot and saw that capital one cafe was finally finished being built. I was helped by Shay and Pepper and I got to say, their hospitality made the drinks taste that much better. I left the place walking with a hop in my step. 10/10 would come again

Their matcha latte is the best I’ve ever had (I recommend getting 25% sugar) and the baristas are all incredibly nice.

This review is based solely on the incredible experience I had with Yennifer! I had a very simple issue with my card that the customer service number was having difficulty rectifying. I didn’t really understand what the Capital One Cafe was or what they did there and on a whim I went in, all while toting 2 children under 2 years of age. Yennifer immediately greeted us, understood my problem, and sat us at a table all while jumping on the phone to fix it. The whole experience took around 35 mins which in toddler time is ages and the whole time she worked efficiently and was very patient with my kiddos who were interested in what she was doing. I would recommend this place if you’re having an issue with your card and I would absolutely recommend asking for Yennifer. They are lucky to have a competent, efficient, friendly employee like her!

Yennifer and Jessy were the absolute best ! I needed help setting up my Zelle account on the Capital One app and setting up a new account. Both of them were so kind and I really appreciate that they sat down with me helping me on each step setting up an account. Yennifer and Jessy were so personable too 11/10 service! Jenni was super helpful when I visited, the peak of hospitality and service! I had a coupon I wasn’t sure how to use/what was included and they were super helpful with the menu options and specifics, I got an herbal green tea with honey which was fantastic! I’ll definitely be returning soon

A very welcoming place! Chelsea immediately offered a warm smile greeting me as I walked in, which made a first time visitor feel so at ease. She gave me a cash envelope for my withdrawal and told me all about what the cafe offers to venture card members. On top of that, she introduced me to their verve coffee offerings and even treated me to a lovely cold brew on the house! I had my coffee here on Friday morning. The Barista, Maryna was incredibly nice and friendly. She recommended me to try Ethiopian pour-over. She was very knowledgeable about the contents of the coffee beans.

I came into the Capital One Cafe to see if they could help me with paying off my Father-in—law’s auto loan. TJ was extremely helpful. Even though the cafe did not have access to the auto loan system, he made several phone calls and tried to help me as best he could. He was very polite and accommodating and made sure I had all the information needed to pay off the loan. He even printed a shipping label for me. Excellent, excellent service!!

It's the banking of the future? I felt as if I was in some futuristic bank!! I had goofed and given my debit card information to some fraudulent people masquerading as Walmart so I called Capitol One and asked for an actual branch since they mostly use internet banking , I was given this location and walked in a most pleasant atmosphere a completely relaxed air I thought I was in some café of the future and then I was greeted by a most pleasant friendly person ! His name was Sheik and turned out to be exceptionally professional and took me step by step I normally don't like banks but hey this was so different. I had to go and have my phone professionally cleaned and returned the next day when Mr. Sheik glided through the next steps to it's conclusion. I was truly impressed they have made a bank branch that one likes to go even without the need for a banking service they have succeeded to create a most satisfying atmosphere and staff it with hard to believe accomplished personnel. Five ⭐ and A+......hold the horses just hold ...! Bank of the future? I certainly hope not I tried to pay for a delivery with my debit card and so in the end it turned out to be a fraud and so I called Capital One like a good customer and reported it right? No I like an idiot reported it !! 3 days going back and forth and hours on the phone from this person to the next and they closed my account and all this because ONE TIME ONLY I didn't see the fraud in time and thought I'm paying for delivery? It would have been much better to just shut up and not report it since I got punished unfairly and I'd have been much more careful in the future but that opportunity was not given me I'm so disappointed I can't accept it this is why I never liked banks they are unfair very unfair they run me for days and then dropped me like a dead weight. Unfair

Stopped by the Capital One Café at the Irvine Spectrum and was really impressed! The space is open, comfortable, and has plenty of seating—perfect for relaxing or getting work done. They offer 50% off drinks when you use a Capital One card, so I was excited to try one of their Summer Sips. I hadn’t used my credit card in over a year and ran into some issues, but the café manager, Rojer, went above and beyond. He patiently called customer service on my behalf to get it sorted out. Truly appreciated his help and great service!

(^_^) I really like Capital One Cafe concept banking, compare to old school banking branch service or limited online bank service, which Capital the best between them with additional Cafe cool experience.

This Capital One Cafe is conveniently located in the Spectrum Mall. It offers a nice hangout spot and as thus is somewhat more crowded than the regular Capital One Cafes. I got a Matcha Latte. It was decent, somewhat milkier than it strong.

Let me get the only negative out of the way: the door clearly said 24 hour ATM and when I was pulling on the door before 9am, I realized it's an error. When I entered at 9am, I was immediately greeted by a Café Ambassador (forgive me, the font is so tiny on their name tags, all I know is his name started with a T). I apologized for pulling on the door and explained that the sign definitely said 24 hour ATM. I showed him the sign outside and he took a picture, thanked me, and then answered my other questions. He was super helpful and insightful. I grabbed a few pins and ordered my drink. The Cafe didn't have cold brew available yet, but they were able to accommodate an iced horchata latte. I'm sorry, I tried very hard to switch it up. Haha. Overall, the place is very clean, friendly, inviting. Plenty of open space to do what you need to do and ambassadors (not bankers- remember in CapitalOne Cafe everything money related is digital. They do not handle cash.) available to answer your questions. This particular location is located in an ideal area just outside of the parking structure and makes it very easy to run in and out.

I also tried their winter seasonal Gingersnap Latte. It tasted like Xmas in a cup; so good! Pricing: Definitely worth its price if you're a Capital One card holder!

I love this place and the ambience here but I would really wish they brought back Peet’s.

reat study/work spot, but finding a seat might be hard. It's nice and spacious, with lots of different seating options (bar, tables, couch), but it gets busy. They switched from Peet's coffee to Verve, which was pretty good. I tried an avocado toast but it's not worth it. It's a thin slice of bread and thin layer of avocado, and some arugula. You also get 50% off coffee if you have a capital one card.

I like this place. The drinks are great and I frequently visit this café for a cup of coffee. I feel like another barista should be added on the team for quicker service, but overall it's fine. My last suggestion is to PLEASE UPDATE YOUR HOURS ON GOOGLE. It states that this place is opened at 9AM. I was there 5 minutes early only to be told that they opened at 9:30AM. If this is permanent, then the hours definitely need to be updated. I was looking forward to drink my favorite order on the way to work. T_T

I enjoyed the matcha latte because it wasn't overly sweet like other places. The blueberry scone was tasty too. There's plenty of seating inside, making it a great spot to relax and hang out.

She made my mocha generously FULL which is why I had to use two cups haha. Thanks Shirley for the extra coffee! The mocha was really good, I could have used a little sugar but overall I really loved the foam mixed with the flavor. I had to come back and get another one! The second time I came in, I didn’t see his name tag, but he wasn’t as kind and helpful as Shirley. He was more pushy and rude. I got another Mocha this time. I enjoyed it. I would come back for the coffee but maybe not the customer service.

I asked about the presence of gluten, dairy or soy in their honey lavender latte drink and was told, "Well everything is organic and the packaging for the powder doesn't say." Vibe is chill. I'd probably bring in my own drink next time since there's so much uncertainty.

The cafe is very clean; the staff does a great job of sanitizing after a customer leaves the workstations. However, not all staff conduct themselves with professionalism. We come at different times of the day and you can hear the staff talking, laughing, and giggling loudly. It’s quite distracting.

Kind of a weird experience walking into a bank / coffee shop. Food selection is limited and the customer service people asking you to open an account is an annoying experience.

Banking service was exceptional. Layout and seating was well setup. Fairly convenient location near the perimeter at the Spectrum, not too far from parking structure. Everything was great except for the actual cafe. The server at the cafe was indifferent; the iced coffee drink I ordered was way too strong and full of coffee grounds; and the "heated" chocolate croissant was stale, hard, and cold in the middle. I think most of the issues with the cafe would be resolved if the employees that work in that area were less interested in gossiping and their cell phones and more interested in customer service. Too bad they weren't the same caliber as the banking employees at this location. Will definitely visit this location again to see if today's visit was just an anomaly or the actual cafe service norm.

Baristas (3 young women) ignored me standing in line and were rude when they finally acknowledged me and began my order. Were out of most food by 2pm when I went on a busy day. Not a lot of outlets. Bankers were nice. Chairs were very comfortable. Had a lavendar latte with an extra shot of espresso tasted kinda burnt but fine overall.

Drinks are high quality but environmentally is terrible. Fully crowded with teenagers using their laptops and not consuming a drink inside this Capital One cafe. Very afraid to speak because everyone was working on their laptops. It didn’t feel right for consumers who just want to enjoy their drinks and not being connected on their phone all the time.

Unfortunately despite the 50% off sign, we later on noticed that they charged us full price for the chai latte. When i tried to pull a chair to sit with my husband and son they gave me a dirty look and told me the chairs are reserved for banking customers…believe me there was no one waiting. So sad that these young workers don’t appreciate a customer who has been with capital one for 20 yrs

The place was nice environment, and comfortable seating except one of the customer service agent Tajee was acting unprofessional, come across confrontational and demanding in a professional setting. I won’t hire that guy, he has a cocky demeanor.

Used to be good when it had Peet's coffee. The Verve coffee only offers light roast espresso, so all espresso drinks taste bad.

We were excited to finally enter this location. My kids got their Capital One card and wanted to use it at the cafe and have a place to relax while at the Spectrum. I also wanted to ask a few banking questions and possibly open a checking account here. BTW, the 50% cafe promo is only for the drinks. Unfortunately, the place was packed. People were using this place to do their homework and basically treated it like a public library. It was large and there was no space to sit. I talked to an agent and she said anyone can come in, not just Capital One customers. The agent looked really busy and didn't want to answer more questions. Meanwhile the other agent that was actually talking to customers looked really stressed and overwhelmed. So essentially, anyone can come in and just squat here for hours. They don't have to be Capital One customers or even consider being one. For a place that advertises itself as a Capital One Cafe, there was no exclusivity feel to it. I felt like I was in a public library or book store. There should be a section for just Capital One customers so we can at least sit down and enjoy the food & drinks we got from the cafe. Also get some banking questions answered. But I didn't get a place to sit and I didn't get any of my bank questions answered. So if I needed a place to lounge and relax at the Irvine Spectrum, it would NOT be at the Capital One Cafe. I would go across to Barnes and Nobles and I will be definitely guaranteed a seat there. I also won't be opening a checking or savings account here either since no one wants to give me the time of day to help me with it.

We are Capital One card holders so we stopped in on Friday 8/25 at 2:40. We liked the tea we got so much that we came back for more in the same visit. We asked for the same tea as earlier, but it comes hot and we wanted it iced since it’s summer. No biggie. We just asked for ice to go with it, which wasn’t a problem 30 minutes earlier. I was given a small cup of ice, not nearly enough so now the tea was lukewarm. I asked for more ice and she gave me even less ice this time, so now it was room temperature tea. I was just going to deal with it, but it wasn’t very good so my daughter asked for more ice and they passively-aggressively gave her a few ice cubes. The employee acted like we were being fussy to ask for ice with our tea in hot weather, something that wasn’t a big deal just a half hour earlier. Half the ice she put into the cup fell down the sink so the employee was being stingy over a handful of ice when she clearly didn’t care about wasting the ice, just about being difficult towards us. They had no indoor seating available so we were sitting outside in the heat, so a cold drink sure would have been nice. The only reason I’m not leaving just 1 star for poor service is because our coffee mostly tasted good so I’m leaving 2 stars.

It was 5 out of 5 with veet coffee, but ever since they have gone with verve coffee, it's not worth even paying half the price. Too bad no matter what you try. This is after trying 4 of their coffees.

Worst bank ever. Lose your phone and change your number because for some reason the phone company had too. I can't even get my money. Don't bank here. They steal your money. They are communist

stopped by here at 10:45am oct 24. the only girl working there at the time has totally wrong attitude. the latte is basically milk. she said its "ristretto shot" so its only 1.75oz instead of 2oz. it still tastes like shes short changing the espresso. i went back to add a shot and she charges me for the full $4.00 espresso saying theres no other way for her to charge me for extra shot which should be only $1.75.... wow so she basically made me pay for 2 drinks... i miss coffee bean.

ATM machines often do not take my cards for payment. Either it doesn’t read the chip or the stripe on my cards even when they are newly issued. I am able to tap and swipe to pay with my card, but the unable to use the ATM in the cafe.

Barista was incredibly rude and did not want to understand or her explain what our drinks were and kept on repeating the same thing and saying that both drinks are the same but if that’s the case then why are they listed twice on the menu with two different names. Barista was short hair, glasses and very unfriendly and rude even other customer that was there notices and apologized. Hire people who want to be there for getting paid well and should provide a good experience and not mock people for asking basic questions First and last time going there

Went here for my 1st and last time. The drink I tried "Paloma Spritz" was terrible, not worth it even with 50% off. Did not feel welcome by the lady in the front, very condescending tone while speaking to me, and no seats available anyway.

I love the Capital One Cafes but this one was the worse I’ve ever been to. To start with they didn’t have cups for hot coffee so they were only selling iced coffee on a cold winter morning. The bathroom was not nice, and I had no paper towels, nor air to dry your hands. When asked they said they didn’t have any. The $12 dollar sandwich was made with very old bread hard to chew and she used the end of the loaf for it. Bread was very greasy and to top it all they had no napkins. Many of the couches needed replacement because you sink in them for lack of cushioning. Definitely not coming back to this one again.

Ordered hot chocolate, which was over $5 for an 8 oz cup and it was a watered down bitter drink. Lavender honey latte was disgusting , two sips and I threw it away, not worth the money at all

Avoid beverages because this place has only ONE ALL GENDER BATHROOM and customers are in no hurry when they get in there.

I've tried to come to this spot three times now for a coffee since the new year and have been unsuccessful all three times. I've heard about the San Diego location being a cool spot and I love Peets coffee so wanted to give then new location closer to me a try. The first time, the store was completely closed during operating hours (as posted online) with no explanation. The second time, the store was closed with a sign on the door stating adjusted hours from 9-5 due to staffing (hours were not updated online). The third time, the store was open, but the Peets coffee was closed so it was really only usable as a working space (didn't seem staffed either, as a note). I will say the interior is really nice and it'd be a great place to work or relax while at the Irvine Spectrum, but given the hours are very unclear and I've yet to be able to find a time when coffee is served, I don't think I'll go out of my way to come back.

Do not open business checking with this banks. 5 days I waited to get an ach , 3 days they could not send a wire transfer. Bank from hell.

We just wanna grab a coffee before dinner... And that's what we've got. A tasteless watery brown water as americano and a tasteless diluted frothed milk as latte. Definitely the drinks were not made by espresso. Even it's half price with the capital one card, not worth a penny! If you want real coffee, don't go!

The personnel are super rude and disrespectful. They don’t have a friendly environment. Their muffins is loaded with sugar. Their hot chocolate tasted awful. I don’t recommend this place at all. I wouldn’t even give one star. Reminder: you aren’t allowed to take photos or videos inside this location. They said it’s a bank not a coffee shop.

Capital Ones higher management should find a new manager for the Capital One Cafe, someone who actually shows up on a Monday Morning

If you use a free drink coupon, they downgrade the size of your drink without telling you even though the offer is valid for any size. Sneaky behavior. My iced latte with cold foam which is only listed as being available as a 16oz was downgraded to 12oz without asking me
