We came here on a Saturday in between games for our two son’s basketball tournament. It was great! We were able to sit on the patio and watch the NBA playoff game. About an hour in the live music started, which was so fun and entertaining. The margaritas were 10 out of 10. The bottomless chips were delicious! They were even able to deal with my onion allergy (I know 😒) and made me a delicious grilled chicken without onions. My husband had the enchilada and taco combo and said it was excellent, the only thing he changed on Sunday (yes it was so good we went back 😋) was adding a flour tortilla to the enchilada instead of the corn. My mom had the three taco sampler and my dad had the shrimp tacos. We came back Sunday and celebrated my belated birthday with our kids. Two of them enjoyed the 3 taco sampler with carne asada and chicken. Like my husband they opted for flour tortillas. And my other son got the enchilada and taco combo, which he loved! We can’t wait to go back again!

Very good food and friendly staff! The inside is very nice and clean. It was our first time here so we tried a Carnitas burrito, Chile Verde taco and Pork Belly Taco. Everything was delicious. Will definitely be going back!

After hearing how amazing this place was, we had to try it out for ourselves. Let me tell you, it didn't disappoint! The staff was very friendly and prompt when bringing out drinks and chips with salsa and warm beans. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the decor is classy. This is the kind of place you could bring your family for a nice dinner or hang at the bar with a buddy for a drink and tacos while watching a game. For his drink, hubby had a pineapple margarita, which he loved (nice and strong), and we started off with guacamole, which was super fresh and had great flavor. Hubby has the shrimp and lobster enchiladas with a tangy red sauce. They were a large portion and also served with fresh avocado. I had a delicious chili verde, served with white rice and tortillas. We had really wanted to try dessert but were too full. We can't wait to come back again to try out more on the menu!

Wow what a great meal! It is expensive, but a good portion of food and delicious! The ambience is very modern and clean, yet small and homemade. The chefs make the food in view, and the ingredients were fresh, and the chefs even asked us how we liked the food. Overall, Xclusive was great, both in flavor and especially in freshness. I think it was worth the price, and I will be back.

Not a fan of the carne asada flavor. Though its not too salty nor too bland. Just the flavor. Other than that everything is above average. From presentation to flavor. Everything is purposeful. Also a great place for a date.

Went there for lunch over the weekend for the first time, and the food, drinks, and service was great. My wife and I will definitely be back.

Great street tacos, steak lollipops and kids menu options. We are out of state and to feed a family cost me about 60$ not bad we had a good time and kids danced to the music. Empty outside patio all to ourselves so that was nice.

We went shopping in the area and stumbled upon this restaurant- The most authentic Mexican restaurant in OC! Carlos our waiter was fantastic. I highly recommend Xclusive Taqueria Moderna. Their Margaritas are hand made with natural ingredientes.

I love a good MX restaurant and this one tops the list! We stopped in for lunch, the place is really well appointed, very interesting. Service was perfect, the presentation of the food is top notch. With the chips, they bring out warm refried-type beans, but with their twist to it - I haven't seen that since I left Vegas, I love beans with my chips. We also had a side of guac, the guac portion was over generous - pretty much too much, but we managed to eat it anyways, it was very tasty. I had one short rib taco that was absolutely to die for and extremely filling; they even grill the tortillas. There is a great assortment of interesting tacos, more so than the ordinary. Hubby had a steak burrito, tortilla also grilled to perfection. The meal was just excellent! I cannot wait to try their other dishes!

Very modern-looking Mexican Restaurant. The food is great. I really appreciated that they give some beans with chips as you await your meal. Beautiful patio and restaurant area. A huge favorite of mine and family members.

Tacos are delicious. Had the Spanish octopus and pork belly tacos - perfect portion and great taste for a meal. Nice to have something so tasty near home. Chips and salsa are good too.

I love this place. These people have survived during this time, and I think they've become better fot it. The food is better than I remember, the attitudes are amazing, and some of the former employees are back. There's a woman there that worked for Jerry's and I saw her back. So thankful for that! Today, I had the carnitas quesadilla and it wowed me. The carnitas were perfect and the portion was huge. It's fast, and there's dining options for inside, outside, and take out. If you get a chance, give them a try!

the appetizer sampler is larger than we thought it would be but we loved everything on it. The main dishes were just as good. You will probably over eat but you will be happy you went!

Tacos are excellent. Recommend the prime skirt taco and the seabass taco. This place replaced the old hot dog joint and it's a much better optit for eating around Ladera. Only thing... The TV just playing the infomercials I could have done without.

I had Fajita tacos, and the were of great quality, they tasted teriffic, and the looked like they were from a gormet restaurant. This is not a low cost taco shop. I recommended it, but realize that you will not be paying $3 per person like at some taquerias.

I grew up on Mexican food, in my Nana and Tia's kitchens... This place is the real deal. Great food, excellent and attentive service, and a nice atmosphere. 100% will be back! Great job folks!

Awesome tacos! The pork belly tacos are amazing. The flavors are layered wonderfully. The tortillas themselves are excellent. Way better than any standard taco shop.

Like the name suggests, there is a modern take here, and it’s great. You will see things on the menu that you have not seen before. I went conventional and had the chorizo breakfast burrito. Winner. Next I’m looking forward to trying the Filet Benedict (that’s right).

The tacos were authentic, the carnitas were amazing, and the owner was very kind and welcoming. Come here if you want a slice of Mexico and to feel at home.

Prime steak tacos are the best. Generous portions. We ordered ceviche and received a large dish. This is a hidden gem that needs to be on everyone's list.

Amazing customer service, Amazing Food! It's awesome to see a nice little restaurant provide such amazing customer service and on point through out our dinner. The Tabilita for two, was very good and the fish & shrimp tacos were very filling! Very good margaritas! Highly recommend them and they also carry Mexican Coke in a bottle! Give it a try you won't be disappointed, it's a bit hidden but google it!

We enjoyed a family dinner - the guacomole starter, the salad, enchiladas- the green sauce was divine! And quesadillas. Great flavors! We will certainly be back!

We have visited it 3 times and every time the service and the food are absolutely amazing. We love the atmosphere and the fact there's always room, no need to wait or reserve ahead. Their Famous Carnitas are delicious, as well as the Mole Chicken, enchiladas al Pastor and they have a dessert sample that's to die for! Good drinks too, I recommend 100%.

This please is amazing. The guacamole was definitely the star of the show but it paired well with the chicken and steak tacos. Our bartender, Alex, made a beautiful mezcalita that went well with the whole meal. The churros were filled with caramel and were doughy and soft. Absolutely delicious. Will definitely come again. Olivia also came over to make sure we were enjoying every step of the way.

I love this place!! I eat a lot of Mexican food and this place is now one of my favorites. Do yourself a favor and get the pork belly taco. It sounded so gross to me but I took a bite of a friend's and it was amazing! So much so I went back the next day and got my own! :) The food is pricy but it tastes like food you'd eat at a high end restaurant. The owners are so sweet and one said his tia hand makes the tortillas daily. I believe it, they're amazing!!

Customer service is so important and Xclusive Taqueria is so good at taking care of their patrons. The first time I went there I was impressed and each time it's only improved. Excellent food with great portions, friendly service and that small restaurant vibe makes this restaurant one of my favorite places for a night out. I can't wait to try brunch. Well done!

The place was a nice surprise! To start off, the service here was great. Staff made us feel welcome and showed their appreciation for our business. Quick service and plenty of staff to make sure every customer was taken care off. I place was very clean and looks like it is run very well. Moving on to the food, it was great. Tried pretty much everything. The base of any Mexican restaurant should be their tortillas. The corn tortillas were fresh and had a nice chew to them. I enjoyed them but depending on preference they might be to thick for some but in the end, you can tell they are made fresh and that effort alone should warrant appreciation. It's a great sign of a good taqueria. The steak was well seasoned and tasty, the chicken was juicy and the seafood tasted fresh. For the prices here they hit the mark. Mole sauce was on the sweeter side but honestly did not mind the sweetness levels even though I prefer a more savory mole. This place is perfect for the neighborhood they service. They deserve their reviews. You love to see a place that runs a business with pride and it shows.

Love our experience today for dinner. We were so happy to be seated outside in a nice atmosphere. Loved loved the food and the jazz music playing when we arrived. We will definitely be back to try other food items but if I only had the enchiladas with their yummy mole sauce every time, I would be extremely happy. Delicious! And please keep the jazz going!

Our first time here and we all agreed that we’ll be returning soon. The mushroom and cauliflower tacos were amazing and seasoned really well. Their mango relish was the perfect topping for the tacos. Friendly staff. Great find!

A bit difficult to find on the weekends because it's tucked into a business park but oh so worth it! We started with cucumber cilantro margaritas which were so refreshing. Complementary salsa, beans and chips were provided as we surveyed the menu. I had tacos el pastor Which comes with grilled onions, grilled pineapple, black beans and rice. It was so good that I don't know how I'm going to be able to try anything else the next time I visit! My lady had a chile relano and a chicken mole enchilada. You have to understand that she gauges any Mexican restaurant by their chili relano and it passed with flying colors. As to the mole, it was exceptional, harkening back to her grandmother's table. It did have a bit of a kick to it so keep that in mind. Service was exceptionally friendly. Great news that their full bar is now open. It is not the cheapest in town but the closest thing you're going to get to this much quality is Sol Agave down at the Kaleidoscope. Since we are we are in wagon wheel, no doubt this will become our new favorite!

The dishes served are not what you would normally see at Mexican restaurants. Even the most common plates, my cheese enchiladas w/ crispy chicken taco was absolutely amazing to say the least. The taco fell apart in my mouth and was great. Their green (mild) salsa was great. The cheese enchiladas, as you can guess, were AMAZING. The red sauce was not too spicy and gave a perfect blend. I've never heard of a breakfast enchilada, never thought I'd see that.... but they made it and made it perfect! Our dessert was their churros plate.... 12 hours later and I'm still craving it. Outside seating is offered. Inside is very clean. The hostess, server and manager were very kind, appreciative of feedback and overall a pleasure to be around. This restaurant just became my favorite and i can't wait to bring the rest of my family and friends back. Truly a hidden gem. Thank you again Gerardo!

This is easily and clearly the best Mexican food in the Ladera ranch/ RSM area in 2024. Been coming here for a few months now, and This place should be packed. Seriously amazing food. Service is always great. Limited beer selection, but who cares. Chips, beans, and dip to start are excellent. Give them a try if you’re around.

Decent food with friendly staff. I like their spinach enchiladas which are served with vegetarian rice and black beans. The wine pours are hefty and they give you good chips and salsa to start. This is one of our go-to places for a last minute dinner out.

First time we went here, we were rather nervous since there were only 8 reviews at the time. However, it was well worth it, and we have been many times since. The tacos are flavorful with delicious meats and toppings. My 2 favorites are the calamari and the skirt steak. The breakfast is also very good, but I would come for the tacos. After a long time of there not being much good to eat in Ladera, this place is great. Don't let the lack of reviews scare you, stop by this place and enjoy.

When I saw the prices my first thought was, either the portion sizes are extra large or the food ingredients are top notch... Neither one of those I was right. Good flavor, ok salsas but nothing else. This restaurant is overrated, prices are matched to its location not the ingredients or portion size.

My steak taco needed flavor. It tasted very dry and needed more than 1 lime wedge. Only with some of the salsa for the chips did it taste ok. But the service was superb from our waitress.

We went here with family for lunch. We chose the place for its rating, and proximity to Ladera ranch. The food presentation was good but food came late and cold. Also meats were over cooked, cold and hard. Food quality, wait time for our food and the fact that they charged us for every little thing we asked without telling us were the disappointing factors.

Take out experience. We ordered the steak burrito, essentially it was a very thickly wrapped doughy burrito and a miniscule amount of steak. Too pricey at $17 for a dough burrito.

We order from here about once a month, since it is pretty good food . About half the time they forget something in the order, sometimes big, sometimes small. Once we called them to ask why they can't include everything we pay for...their answer was to put a comment in the order asking for all ingredients. Although that is ridiculous, we did just that. Then, sure enough, the next order they forgot multiple things. We called again and they said their computer malfunctioned so they couldn't read the note...instructing them to simply include all ingredients. They then offered for us to drive to them to pick up all that was missing. We will not be ordering again, and unfortunately can't recommend to anyone else to do takeout with them.

I like the food here however we had a horrible experience with the bartender Luis last night. After ignoring us multiple times to place an order, we finally ordered from the server instead. When he got our ticket he smirked and laughed. Then when he started pouring he said “well tequila? That’s sad.” Which is when we called him out for being incredibly rude and he had zero response except “do you want lime and salt”. I’ve never had anything like that happen at a restaurant before. Rude, disrespectful and beyond arrogant. If I do return you can bet I’m turning right back around if he’s at the bar. HORRIBLE customer service.

So I went thinking the hotdogs place was going to be there but nope. Who doesnt love tacos though ??? The price is high but a gourmet taco every now and then ok. So for 4 tacos one drink and gauc was 38 dollars. Tips: deep fried taco means they deep fry with the meat (it's really greasy but not the good kind) my other 2 tacos were super bland. The flavor just wasnt there and jalapenos is right down the street at half the price with twice the flavor. I never submit a review but definitely after waiting a good while felt cheated on my calories!!! Lol sorry can we get Jerry's back? I gave 2 stars because everyone was working really hard and very friendly. Thank you for that Ordered: Pork chili Verde taco ( plan no flavor) 6.00 Chili relleno taco ( best thing and meh) 5.00 Crispy tacos 2 (chicken) super greasy 12.00 I also had gauc market value and a soda 39 bucks meh.

The fajitas didn't sizzle...at all....and came out within 10 minutes... The food tasted good, the salsa was okay, the chips were good....but my dad and I both got fajitas....and both got overnight food poisoning. Something was wrong with the food. May have been left out too long...wasn't cooked fresh not quite sure. But my family and I will not return due to getting sick. Our server was very nice though.

I ordered the fish taco plate. I was given 1 fish taco a la carte missing rice and beans. They said they would fix the order. I got my meal as others got their checks. They also couldn't get a bean and cheese burrito out and had to be given in a to go box to one of the kids in the party.

I would give this restaurant less stars if I could. I booked their food truck at the end of October 2022 for a wedding at the end of January 2023. They had a conflict, which I was told was resolved and we signed a contract. They waited until A WEEK before my wedding to tell me they had a conflict and couldn't accommodate the tile we agreed on. I had to find another truck. They also tried to gaslight me that we hadn't worked out the issues months ago. It's a shame because their food is really good. Completely unreliable business.

Ordered take out in-person. Ordered a drink and was told I would get chips and salsa which never came. Took my order home to find they didn’t include an item that I paid for. I called and had to explain to the person four times what happened. Was put on hold for ten minutes. Another person picked up the phone and had no idea what was going on and asked me to start explaining again for a fifth time. By this time, my food was getting cold and I told the person to find the person who I was speaking with before which she couldn’t do. I hope this place enjoys the money they took from me as I will never go back again.

The food was average and very greasy including the chips!!!! My husband’s burrito was very greasy and he didn’t even finish it. I don’t recommend this place to anyone!!! Here is the proof of the bag of chips!!!

Food quality has fallen and I give this place 6-8 months before the For Lease sign is up. I’m done with this place. My wife and I ordered the chicken fajitas and it’s clear the chicken was cooked either way earlier in the day or yesterday. It was very dry and overly seasoned. It’s a clear when poor quality like this is served that you are in crisis mode and you’re trying to save money by recycling old product to keep the doors open. The Cadillac margarita used to be my favorite here. I tasted a lot more mix this time in my drink and not much alcohol. Another sign of this restaurant’s demise. Service is always very good but I will not be dropping $130 for food and drink of this intentional poor quality.

Food quality has fallen and I give this place 6-8 months before the For Lease sign is up. I’m done with this place. My wife and I ordered the chicken fajitas and it’s clear the chicken was cooked either way earlier in the day or yesterday. It was very dry and overly seasoned.
