Thai Chaiyo Tustin is highly praised for its flavorful and beautifully presented Thai cuisine, friendly staff (especially Jenny), and cozy atmosphere. The green curry, pad thai, and Chaiyo chicken are frequently mentioned as standouts. Some find it a bit pricey, but worth it.
Tip: Dishes are cooked to order and beautifully plated. Be sure to try the Chaiyo chicken and the pineapple red curry.
Really delicious food here! Attentive servers, and food arrived quickly. I ordered the mushroom and ginger plate, glass noodles, brown rice, and spring rolls-all tasty and great presentation. The only nitpick would be the spring roll peanut sauce, as it was quite bland. Dine-in limited because it's a small restaurant.
Flavor is off the charts. Service is even better; like being at your favorite Auntie’s. Best Thai in OC!
Great food, with variable spice levels. Very tasteful and brilliant service. Quick, friendly and efficient. Jenny was great!
Called in an order of Pad See Ew - and was immediately impressed with the customer service skills on the phone. Normally there is a language barrier but the tonality of their voice and genuine responses really show they care here. When you walk in you’ll see it’s a smaller dining Restauraunt, but feels cozy and very mom and pop-ish. No, it isn’t stunning or contemporary inside but the customer service which I’m assuming is the owners left a great impression alongside with their food - which tasted great. Would love to dine in some day soon and check it out!
Just found this place after a meeting nearby and it was deeelicious! Very kind servers, quaint, like a Mom & Pop feel which I looove. I highly recommend. Easy parking as it in a strip mall. I would definitely return.
The food is always fresh and amazing. The pumpkin curry is incredible.
Fabulous food and a wonderful atmosphere. Totally authentic Thai. I’m a real foodie!
This is been one of our favorite Thai restaurants. It's a little hole in the wall but it is absolutely fantastic food! There is not a lot of seating however if you're okay with takeout they do take out there and so far we've gotten the same amount of food as if we were to sit in the restaurant. If you haven't tried this restaurant I highly suggest that you try it. The one thing this is not a restaurant to do a big group. This is a family or a date night
This Thai restaurant is a hidden gem! It’s hands down the best Thai food I’ve had in Orange County. The Tom Yum Soup is absolutely amazing. The service is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is cozy. 10 out of 10.
This isn't one of those strip-mall fast Asian food places. This is a very nice small, family-run restaurant that I like very much. The food is delicious and very consistent from visit to visit. Extremely good value for the modest price. Service is friendly, genuine, and good. As others have said, the atmosphere is a bit "homey," making this a casual everyday sort of place, not a "special occasion." I've both dined in and done take-out, and both have been great. Special mention to their take-out app, which is among the best I've seen. Definitely worth a try, and you'll probably end up being a regular.
We’ve been eating here since before it was even called Thai Chaiyo. It is our favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Personal favorites are the red curry, green curry, Tom kha, num tok, Larb, mango sticky rice and Thai tea. They offer delivery, pickup and dine in. All staff is masked. They keep a set of clean pens and a dirty pens cup. They even have a QR code outside so you can view the menu before entering to order. You can also order online. There are a couple of tables for outdoor dining as well. There is a fabulous $8.50 lunch special menu.
Great family owned business. My favorite is the kana moo krob, it's always fresh and tasty! I've also tried their yellow curry and drunken noodles - both are yummy. They also feature a solid lunch special for under $15.
My husband and I come here almost every Monday and always enjoy our meals. Their lunch specials are great! It’s the best yellow curry I’ve ever had! Service is wonderful! Our lovely waitress always remembers the little things, like how I always ask for a knife 😁 Food is amazing and we love coming here every chance we get!
SO GOOD! Food and the service was phenomenal. Pad see ew and Thai fried rice we're delicious. So was the gigantic Thai iced tea. One of our faves in Orange County
Our family loves Thai food and enjoys it often. My daughter, husband and I all agree this is the best Thai food we’ve experienced. Generous portions, and Jenny (owner/manager) was so welcoming. We ordered the pad see ew with beef, stir fried beef with green beans, and yellow curry with chicken. We ended with the mango sticky rice. We enjoyed it so much, we’re taking our other daughter and parents there this weekend. Highly, highly recommend!
My pick up order was super quick on a Friday night! I saw a lot of reviews saying a long wait... that was NOT my experience at all and im glad i gave it a try. I called in while on the way & in 10 mins after i got there it was ready to go. Food was great and larger portions than other thai places, especially the peanut sauce! They give you plenty for your chicken satay.... yumm 😋
Love it from the 1st time visiting. Maybe the best green curry I've ever had. The flavor was stunning. Very friendly staffs. The place is small but felt cozy. Price is a bit high but I don't complain much when comparing with others less expensive Thai restaurants. You got what you paid for.
Great flavors and freshly cooked to order. Love eating at places where the food comes out piping hot. As expected, there will be a wait when they have a lot of to-go orders coming in. The yum woo sen is flavorful with just the right amount of acidity. The pad Thai noodles have a good chew and ample sauce. The chicken was a bit on the drier side so I may opt for the shrimp next time.
Cute place, where they cook each dish to order. Food comes out hot, Crispy, and most importantly delicious. I got the pad thai (pic below) I didnt get a photo of the jackfruit and sticky rice but genuinely thr best sticky rice ive ever had
Delicious Thai food. Tasty drinks! Good size portions. Friendly staff. Well worth the money.
Want some delicious Thai food that will make you feel full and satisfied? This is the place to go. All authentic Thai dishes. The portions are huge and well worth the price. Every dish has a bursting flavor. The spicy pad thai and the curry are one of my favorites. The staff was really nice and they were on top of making sure I had everything I needed. The place is located in a nice area also. You have to try the fried dipped in their sweet and sour sauce. The sticky rice and mango is one of my favorite desserts and they made it perfect. So yummy. If you dont believe me, go try it out yourself. You will not be disappointed. Keep up the great work Thai Chaiyo.
Good service, great atmosphere, BEST thai I ever had, hands down. Small shop, very warm and welcoming here. Really good unique beers. Fair prices. My only complaint is I asked for extra meat and didn’t look like I got it. Everything else still makes it 5 stars. You will not regret coming, BEST Thai in OC.
I’m so happy discovering this super yummy Thai restaurant. They decorate the dishes so beautifully with fresh flowers. They also make their food fresh with no MSG. Highlights of the menu: 1. Thai tea sunset 2. Chaiyo chicken - specialty dish 3. Thai fish cake 4. Coconut shrimp 5. Grilled shrimp salad 6. Tom yum - lemongrass and lime broth 7. Pad see ew - sweet black bean and large rice noodles 8. Roasted duck in red curry Amazing service, super quick and friendly.
Stopped by here for a late lunch and from the moment I walked everyone was so welcoming! You could definitely tell that they deeply care about every dish. My favorites were the Chaiyo chicken and the pineapple red curry. Also the dishes were so pretty! Every dish was perfectly plated with hand carved carrot flowers. Standout from the desserts was the Thai Tea panna cotta, highly recommend! Shoutout to the sweet owners, Maple and her husband, for taking the time to explain every dish! They taught us that Chaiyo means cheers!
I like businesses that help the community. Thai Chaiyo was sending a portion of a days profits to the L.A. food bank for the fire victims. I've seen good reviews and wanted to give them a try. I had the BBQ rib lunch special with rice salad, and two egg rolls. The food was tasty. You get a good portion for your money, and the service is great. Everyone is so nice. I would definitely return.
Cozy atmosphere, came to have some dinner. This place seemed popular around me so I decided to stop by since I was in the mood for Thai. So, I ordered the mini Thai table @$29 dlls you get Tom yum soup with chicken(a good portion). Pad Thai with shrimp or chicken option & 4 egg rolls. (That’s a deal!) As I was looking at their IG I noticed an appetizer that looked good so I decided to try it. OMG! If you like green onions and rice cakes; You definitely want to try the rice cake chives! This was my favorite 😋

it’s my first time in this area and my friend recommended it to me. my sister and i had the curry and it was very good you can tell it was authentic. The service was also great they were so kind!
I live in Los Angeles and was looking for Thai food, and found Thai Chaiyo in Tustin. They are delicious. The food was fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed the beef and chicken entrees. They have a great selection of Thai food at the restaurant in Tustin, and I can't wait to come back.
Easily best Thai food we have had in OC. Jenny and the entire staff are amazing with incredible recommendations. The chef here couldn't do a better job, everything was flawless with a calm and welcoming environment including a real rose placed at each table. All of this for easily the best prices I have ever seen for such quality. Do yourself a service and come see for yourself. Can't wait to come back soon.
Thai Chaiyo is AMAZING!!! Love the customer service and especially the food. I’ve had the chicken Pad Thai and the Thai style fried rice and both entrees were delicious! Nina is the sweetest. This restaurant is a 10/10 for sure, and you will not regret eating here!
We ordered the Stir-Fried Basil and Chili Tofu and the Bangkok Basil Fried Rice. The tofu looked great and tasted very flavorful. The sauce had authentic Thai flavors. The Thai iced tea was the best I have ever had.
Thai Chaiyo Tustin is a must-visit for delicious Thai food and great customer service. The spring rolls are fresh and crispy, the Pad Thai is perfectly balanced, and the fried rice is flavorful and satisfying. Everything tastes authentic and well made. On top of the amazing food, the customer service is friendly, fast, and welcoming. Highly recommend Thai Chaiyo Tustin if you’re looking for quality Thai cuisine in Tustin.
This was a great dinner! Jenny and her staff were so friendly and accommodating for our group of 8. The food was phenomenal and came out super quick as well. Highly recommend!
First time dining at this restaurant. We had eggplant basil stir fry, pad see ew, red curry and tom yup noodle soup. They were all great, very flavorful, and generous portion sizes. Tara was very welcoming and friendly. It was a very pleasant dining experience. We would definitely come back.

I have visited this place many times and usually have a positive experience with the food and service. However, on August 3rd, I ordered takeout and found that the pineapple chicken fried rice and chicken pad Thai did not taste fresh and lacked flavor. Despite this setback, I will return, as my previous experiences have been good. I just wanted to share that this meal was a disappointment.
The staff here is friendly and attentive they made sure I was good and didn’t need anything. I’ve never had curry before, this was my first and it was good for not having something to compare it with. However they have so many options on their menu that look amazing! Great vibe and easy to find.
Delicious food. Good prices. Large menu with a great variety of options. The potstickers were crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. You don’t have to order rice on the side at this place, it comes by default

The staff was great, welcoming, friendly and attentive. Food came out quick. Have a good family special that makes ordering easy. I rated food a 3 because some dishes had a great taste like the shrimp fried rice, savory vegetables panang curry and egg rolls and other dishes like the pad thai and the tom kha was not as good as other places. I had our if town guests and well I think the food was ok. It was convenient because there was no wait and open so was our 2nd choice from a Yelp review because our first choice was booked and not taking more guests.
Pad thai is not very good in my opinion. It came with very little chicken and was way too sweet. As such I didn't eat it and the waitress, upon my complaint said: "next time don't order the pad thai." It was a funny line, but not customer service friendly.
Friday night dinner cravings brought us into Thai Chaiyo, parking was easy to find, and there was not a wait at 6 pm. Tables filled up quickly as soon as we sat down. Small and humble space with sticky menus a and a waiter that didn't seem to know when or how to cut in to take our order, drink refills, or basic check-ins. Service and atmosphere were left lukewarm, just like my water. Coconut Shrimp ($10.50) - Avoid at all costs. The star for specialty means nothing. As soon as the appetizer was placed, I thought, "Wow, generous serving." Only to be left underwhelmed. All you taste is coconut, the small side of sweet and sour sauce for dipping does nothing to accompany the screaming coconut flakes. Shrimp, where? All batter. Not to mention the color of the fry on this. Pad See Ew ($13.95) - With chicken. Delicious. Really good, tasted like every other pad See ew I've ever had which is great. Yellow Curry ($13.50) - With Beef, please don't order beef. It was chewy and hard, pieces were oblong and non consistent. Curry tasted good though. Overall, it was an underwhelming dining experience, had a Thai craving and this place but a bandaid over it, but I won't be coming back.

Came here at opening @11:30AM on 1/4/26. Was told to give the team 10 minutes, and no one came to greet or even allow us to come inside for drinks, did not seem like they wanted business. Hours of opening is not accurate.
This used to be one of my favorite places. Unfortunately tonight was a different experience from the many times we have visited. We had the older lady take our order and she was very dismissive. She has no sense of customer service. The younger girl helping was very nice and apologized for the inconvenience. Flavor of food has changed a lot. Our Pad se ew was very bland in flavor and we have always ordered it the same. This time it lacked sauce. Will have to change our go to Thai spot. :(
I got the pad see ew (tofu). Pretty bland. I had to add my own soy sauce & siratcha. The “signature” sticky mango rice was TERRIBLE. Overall, this place is overpriced & low quality.

The server was an older lady that has no sense of customer service. Zero people skills. I specifically asked TWICE for the taro coconut desert that she told me was coming but it was never made. Panang curry was was double the price. And they don't take American Express. Esepcially for such a high price they charge here, they should accept Amex. Coming here for dinner is a rip off, the lunch is much better as you get salad and egg roll. Find that out from one of the customers. Made me wait more than 25 min to inform me that they ran out of taro/coconut to make the desert. Even worse while I was waiting, I had asked twice about the desert during the long wait and the lady said it is coming. She should much earlier, far sooner they ran out of desert. As a result I sat forever waiting. Such a disorganized place. Finally, the staff barely cared about making me wait for nothing and wasting my time as they didn't bother themselves to make things right or make it up to me. Even when I want to pay with American Express they force me to use another card. Its just pay something besides Amex and when they thanked me I told them I can't thank them. Since the staff makes no effort to make it up to me or care especially as they waste a half hour of my time, not only will I not come back I am telling family and friends to avoid this place. The service and hospitality at Thai Chaiyo is an embarassment to Thailand. There are much better Thai restaurants in Tustin and around Orange County.
