Food was amazing, fresh, hot, and quick. I had the Landrys fettuccine and hubbs had some seafood platter. They replaced what fish he didn’t want. I forgot our waitresses name but he had someone he was training. He was quick and never let our drinks go below half and always checked back on us for anything we needed. Hard to find service like that around here
No waiting, seated out on the patio, evening's breeze was perfect. Oysters were fresh! Jake our waiter was great, friendly and knowledgeable about the food and dinner entrée. Ribeye was cooked to perfection . Red beans and rice were so good. Highly recommended you check out Landry's when you're at the Golden Nugget Casino! Ask for Jake, you'll have a great dining experience!
The service was great, very friendly staff, and the food was awesome. Not sure why the reviews are so negative, this is one of the better places to eat. The price was very reasonable considering your eating at a casinos. We had the bam bam shrimp, shrimp po boy, and the bourbon street pasta, every dish was great and I highly recommend the pasta. Bourbon street pasta was a great dish if your trying to get away from your usual fried fish, fried shrimp or etouffee dish. I will definitely return to Landry's on our next visit to the Golden Nugget.
I cannot express enough how grateful my wife and I are for the exceptional service we received from Andrew Mann at Landry's Seafood. As someone in town for a conference, this vacation without our kids was a rare treat, and Andrew truly made it memorable. From the moment we were seated, his warmth and friendliness put us at ease. His knowledge of the menu was impeccable, and his recommendations were spot on. Every dish he suggested was a delight to the senses. Andrew's attention to detail and genuine care for our dining experience truly elevated our evening. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and more. Andrew Mann is a shining example of what exemplary service looks like, and he made our evening at Landry's Seafood unforgettable. We'll certainly be back, and we'll be asking for Andrew by name.
We had our daughters 21st birthday dinner here. Before dinner we were at the pool all day and had nowhere to store the cake since check in for our rooms wasn’t till 4pm. They were so wonderful in letting us store her cake that afternoon before our reservations. Our waitress Nikki was amazing. Even though she was swamped with tables she stayed on top of everything even taking a picture for us and bringing out our cake. The food and drinks were real good and worth the money. I ordered the salmon and shrimp kabob with dirty rice. It was real good. We will definitely go back.
Great place, relaxing environment. One of the many great places to eat here at the golden nugget. Sat outside , pool side. Wide variety of seafood with some Louisiana favorites . Staff was fun and friendly. Very accommodating to our request. Very knowledgeable about the menu. Very nice place not for those on a small budget. We had casino credit lol
Landry’s Seafood House at The Golden Nugget, Lake Charles, LA. My new spot at The Nugget in Lake Charles! My favorite in the Chain so far! Service has been GREAT every visit and the food (8oz Filet w/Baked Potato is my go to here) tasty, and always cooked perfectly! The shrimp cocktail appetizer, garlic bread and a cold draft at the bar beforehand! I’m lookin forward to eating my way through the menu! There’s a definite culture in play here! Well Done from the top down!
Went for a little date night with hubby. Considering there were several conventions and a concert, we didn't wait long to be seated. Zane was our server, and he continuously checked on us until our food came out. Ordered shrimp kisses for an appetizer. They were good. Hubby ordered the oyster trash bar for his dinner, and I ordered a dozen char broiled oysters for mine. Everything was good, and the oysters were amazing!
Second time here, great seafood. Raw oysters were really fresh. Oysters Rockefeller is a 8/10, good flavors. Char-grilled had too much Parmesan and needed some more char compared to Dragos. The wife got the red snapper with dirty rice and I ordered the blackened redfish Charlie. Our meals were delicious and i would highly recommend it. The dirty rice with the lemon butter is amazing. Service was a little slow but the servers were very nice.
The restaurant was a great choice. The ambiance was great. The waitstaff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Shout out to our excellent server, Jolie! I wanted something not on the menu, and she was able to accommodate. The foid and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend. Great food. Great value.
Such an amazing dinner. Started with the Oyster and shrimp appetizer. Then we both had fish. I had the Salmon with mushrooms, shrimp and artichoke hearts. It was unbelievable. My husband had the stuffed flounder and loved it. Both came with a salad and garlic bread. Our waiter was friendly and professional. We waited over an hour for our table but it was totally worth the wait.
Dinner was absolutely delicious!!! We sat in the patio with a view of the Golden Nugget’s pool. We were welcomed with garlic & butter bread. For he appetizer we had the fried calamari and the crab & spinach dip(not pictured), they were really good. I had their Landry’s Fettuccine with shrimp and it is to die for! Loved every bite of it! My friends had the Catfish Red Beans & Rice and the Shrimp & Salmon Kabob and they were also really good. We really enjoyed our dinner.
The ordering process was so fast and the servers gave a multitude of attention to out table. The food was prepared exceptionally well and took less than traditionally wxpected to come out. The staff we extremely knowledgeable in their promotional products and rewards programs and shared said knowledge with professional and attentiveness. I never felt like such a high priority at a restaurant as much I had here. Great experience overall
Our waiter, Ethan, was amazing. He stopped by several times to make sure we were doing okay. The Manager also made conversation with me while I waited for the rest of my party to arrive. You can't go wrong with the Bourbon Street Pasta. 10/10-I will be back to try more dishes.
Steven is the manager and he is very warm and welcoming. He came to ask me if everything was great and introduce himself to me. You've got to try the chargrilled oysters and the bacon wrapped shrimp. Their garlic bread is amazing as well!
Matt was a server n he deserved the big tip we left him. I ordered salmon n it was cooked perfectly. My daughter n husband ordered the steaks and they were exactly as ordered. We had the mushroom appetizer that was delicious but just a tad too spicy for me. The spinach dip n chips were so good that my grandsons preferred this over their food. They (age2and3) ordered ribs off the children's menu n the meat fell off the bone. They loved them!! When we went at about 6, it was crowded but we didn't have to wait. When they 1st opened, I loved the food. The 2nd time, the food and the waitress were very disappointing. I hesitated to go there a 3rd time, but so glad we did. I think Matt made everything special with his smile and attitude! Give him a raise or have him in charge of training other wait staff. He is excellent!
Went had dinner at Landry's before a concert. Our server Hunter was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. His recommendations were on point. The food, service and atmosphere is on point. We will definitely be back soon!
For a busy Wednesday night, everything went smoothly and it was all tasty. It was my first time to Landry’s, so we had our waiter, Jordan, explain the menu to us and he did a wonderful job. His recommendations were also great and the food was very well cooked!! Jordan was very attentive and pleasant and took excellent care of my colleague and myself! Absolutely go if you can! And request Jordan if he is working!
Went here for our 29th Anniversary. The decor is cool and the food, service (Taylor was our server), and atmosphere were great!! Make sure to make reservations to minimize the wait at dinner time. After verifying my veteran status, they gave me a 15% discount off the bill!! Thank you so much!!!
Jax was an amazing waiter. The food was amazing! My favorite restaurant at The Golden Nugget
I’m giving you all the stars!!! Why? Because your shrimp cocktail is out of this world. Am I mad you are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays? Yes. But maybe you are out getting the shrimp so I’m dealing with it. Service always 10/10. And it’s in the Nugget so of course the atmosphere is magical.
Friendly and fast service! We were seated quickly (we had a reservation) and the atmosphere was nice. The food was delicious. The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer, The Shrimp Kisses, were the best I ever had! Absolutely delicious!!
Oyster Bar Trash was delicious and so was the Mahi Mahi. Our waiter Davin was fantastic! He gave us the "just right" kind of attention we needed. Glasses never went empty and he had the best personality!
I had the blacken catfish and shrimp with dirty rice - excellent! The shrimp kisses are wrapped with bacon and Monterey Jack cheese . Perfect appetizer. But most important was the excellent service I received from my server Riley ! I hope that she gets recognized.
My sister and I shared the shrimp kisses(excellent!) and a grilled seafood platter. They were packed, but our server Nikki was excellent!! She was very attentive and had great recommendations!
Nos atendieron bien
As a woman of cultivated taste — someone who has graced more Gulf Coast lunch menus than I care to admit — I rarely find myself genuinely impressed. And yet, today at Landry’s inside the Golden Nugget, I was confronted with a level of service so exceptional it nearly compelled me to stand up and deliver a speech. Kenisha, the undisputed luminary of the dining room, transformed what should have been a simple lunch into an event worthy of documentation. Her timing? Surgically precise. Her recommendations? Offered with the serene confidence of someone who has achieved enlightenment through menu mastery. Her attentiveness? I’ve witnessed sommeliers with less intuition. The moment my drink dipped even slightly below optimal levels, Kenisha materialized — as if carried in on a whisper of hospitality — restoring it before I could so much as blink. Truly, an artist at work. Let the record show: Kenisha is not merely a server; she is the cornerstone upon which Landry’s lunchtime greatness rests.
Friendly and attentive wait staff, great food, and reasonable prices! We enjoyed a delicious meal featuring perfectly cooked steaks and flavorful fried seafood. The Spinach Madeline appetizer was a standout. Prices were very reasonable for the quality. Be sure to make a reservation through OpenTable—this place fills up quickly!
We sat at the bar for dinner. The service was A-1, very attentive. Drinks were perfect, not watered down. For eats, we had a crab bisque, it was good. Crab & artichoke dip, basic, but good….finally we had grilled red fish topped w/ crab served with dirty rice. The fish was seasoned well, not over seasoned…just right! Everything came out hot and fresh. Drinks and food service was really fast. I’ll definitely stop back in for a bite!!
The crab spinach dip was great but didn’t really see any crab meat or have a crab flavor. Chargrilled oysters were good but were a little undercooked as to other places I loved the chargrilled oysters. The entrees was were it’s at!! Shrimp fettuccine was excellent, blackened catfish was delicious, and the 10oz. sirloin was the best we’ve had in a long time!! The only reason I gave 4 stars were the appetizers could’ve been a bit better. I definitely recommend Landry’s!! Excellent service that always goes a long ways!!
We have eaten here multiple times while at the casino. The food is decent and not real overpriced. It’s convenient and they have a decent selection. Honestly liked their salad more than the other dishes I’ve had. I will definitely eat here again for the reasons I’ve already mentioned. If you are looking for exceptional food then I’d say look a little harder elsewhere but as I’ve said it’s decent portions and the meals have been good so not really any complaints.
We decided to stop by and try one of Landry's restaurants since I had purchased a whole bunch of gift cards at Costco a while back... It shocked us how busy the Golden Nugget casino resort was to begin with!... We just wanted to have a dinner but we could barely find a parking spot in the garage! Sheesh!.. Took us a good 20 minutes to find one inside since it was raining hard outside... Even parking lots outside were quite full so I recommend giving yourself extra time if you headed their way. Nevertheless, dinner was good but the food was rather OK. Creole Gumbo wasn't thick at all, fried calamari was a melange of everything else fried with barely any calamari in it. Grilled oysters were unimpressive.. But bread served to start with was very, very disappointing. Was not toasted but rather very soft and room temperature and smothered inside with raw garlic blob of butter. Very, very disappointing and in our opinion not edible. Red Snapper and chocolate pecan dessert were best dishes we had.
I’m not sure what’s with the bad reviews for this place. We made reservations and were seated promptly. The service was great, except that the waitress forgot our bread, but when we asked for it she brought it. Not a huge deal at all. The food was fresh and hot and tasted exceptional, and the overall experience was excellent. Take the other reviews with a grain of salt and give this place a try to decide for yourself.
1st time at this location. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. The food was tasty but could have had more flavor. Would visit again and try a different dish.
The grilled oysters were really small and the crab cakes were soggy and fell apart. Not the best seafood for being here in Louisiana ☹️☹️
Dined alone and service was great. Was sat in the back corner by the big windows but AC was blowing so that area was pretty chili. Gumbo was good but boiled shrimp was slightly overcooked. Asked for an additional napkin and was brought lemons and a warm towel to clean my hands. Usually get the catfish and red beans/sausage. Looks like shrinkflation has hit Landry’s. Food was good but portions seem to have gotten smaller.
Inside of the casino. Small, compared to the steakhouse restaurant. Waiter was great. Food was decent. I enjoyed it. I've been to other Landry's in other cities; this one had the feel of being at a restaurant in a mall because of the casino.
Crawfish were way too spicy and I grew up on them!! Red beans and rice had no flavor. Cesar salad was good. Filet was was well seasoned even though they cooked it twice to get the right cook of medium well. The waiter seemed only interested in bigger tables so we waited a lot. Sad he would hgat ave got a bigger tip from me than i am sure he got from the bigger tables.
The fried calamari was tough to eat, and the hamburgers that my family ordered were horribly made. It was triple stacked with thin cuts of beef that almost looked like beef jerky. I would recommend not to get the hamburgers from Landry's. The ribeye steak was good to include the baked sweet potato, and the catfish with red beans and rice dish was okay. If I could rate a zero for the burger, I would. The manager basically said that this is how the burgers are cooked.
Very mediocre restaurant. I ordered a skinny margarita. It did not resemble a margarita in the least. It looked like it was made with a dark liquor. The calamari appetizer we ordered took over 20 min. Our food arrived within 2 minutes of getting our appetizer. The waiter was not attentive . When I mentioned the appetizer and food arriving at the same time he noted it had taken 20 min and told us he gave the kitchen a piece of his mind, but didn’t offer to give us a discount of any kind. He did not charge me the extra $2.00 for the wine I got after the horrible margarita. When dining at the Golden Nugget Lake Charles select another option rather than Landry’s.
DO NOT GET THE PEEL & EAT SHRIMP!!! This item is not served from the kitchen. It is served from "behind the bar" and by the person shucking raw oysters. Even though he is using gloves - he SHOULD NOT be serving peel & eat shrimp from an area LITERALLY behind the bar top where customers sit. He never changed his gloves and I'm pretty sure the shrimp was not contained at the proper temperature - seeing as though this is a small service area in the bar. There is definitely some CROSS CONTAMINATION there. Within hours of dining and returning to my room, I had profuse diarrhea and vomiting for at least and hour. I had been feeling fine prior to this meal. I do not have shellfish allergies & I don not drink alcohol, so I can only assume it was food poisoning from the peel and eat shrimp. I've dined here several times, this was my first time trying the peel and eat shrimp at this location. In my opinion, all food service should occur in a clean kitchen by professional food service staff.
This restaurant is located inside of Golden Nugget and offers mostly seafood, appetizers, drinks and a few other items. When we visited there was a wait to be seated inside (the restaurant is rather small with limitied seating) so we chose to be seated outside with a few other tables instead which was fine and offered a view of the pool. Our orders took a while to come out and we had to ask our waiter for bread, utensils amd refills - perhaps he was busy with other customers inside. Of the two plates we ordered one was missing an item and the other came with the wrong item. The plate pictured was 24$ and rather disappointing especially for the price. Overall the food was fine but we weren't particularly impressed with the dishes, prices for what we recived or our overall experience.
I first time with family come to here, and tired this restaurant. The waiter here was nice. He could remember all the dishes without writing a list. It's just that the taste of the dish was soooooo unique. It's quite salty. I took several glasses of water. If it's not that salty, I'll enjoy this lunch.
I have been unhappy with my visits to Landry's on the last two occasions. The server was a little inefficient but that wasn't a big issue. As you can see in my photo I had 4 crawfish in my bowl 🥣 of crawfish bisque. The response I got from the know it all floor manager was not what I expected. They played it off like it was common and wasn't an issue. Well they were not paying the 💯 dollar cost to eat at Landry's. It took me forever to get the bisque changed out. It sat in front of me for 10 more minutes. You would think a 🐟 fish plate at a price close to $20 would have another side accompany the meal. Rice dressing shouldn't be the only side on a dish. This is a fair review considering my experience. You be the judge for yourself.
Stayed at Golden Nugget and decided on a quick lunch at Landry in the hotel. I ordered the chargrilled oysters and they were terrible… over cooked, rubbery and not well seasoned. I couldn’t even swallow them. The saving grace was my husband ordered stuffed flounder and it was decent. Outside of that everyone was extremely nice, our server was attentive and accommodating. They removed my item off my bill.
We were there on Sat afternoon - well after lunch and well before dinner. Our server was friendly but that's about all that was good. We ordered an appetizer (seafood fondue) which was mostly mushrooms. The portion was extremely small, however the price was not. The "hot" bread wasn't warm - the butter wasn't even melted. My entree was ok (pasta) but I never got the salad I ordered extra. My boyfriend got a Blackened fish that was so overcooked that the edges were too hard to eat. I've been a Landry's Select Member for years but have never ventured very far from home to other establishments. Guess I now know why you stick with what you know!!
The worst food I have eaten in a long time. Asked waiter where our appetizer was and it came out immediately after luke warm shrimp. Yummy. Ordered the mix grill and probably 60% of the plate was showing for almost $40. Scallops barely any warmth. Only thing warm was the rice. Oh and the bloody mary might as well have been water. TRASH! Our waiter was cool though.
Was there almost 2 hours waiting for are food my wife and I were treated to 4 breads and 3 glasses of tea I had a enough I told my wife let’s go this was to long of a wait we came back later and talked to Chris but he was not very helpful. He had no consideration for us because we are diabetics and we had already had our medication because we thought we were going to be eating but no just seating there please beware that just to order something like shrimp plate and catfish plate was not there expertise.
45 minute wait for table, our order was taken pretty quick but then we waited for an hour or more to get our food. We have eaten at other Landry's before and the service was good and the food was excellent but I can't say the same for the one at the casino.
I'd rate better if they were consistent with their hours. Stuffed shrimp are excellent, the smashed burger sucks. Call beforehand, I've made the mistake twice while driving in from Baton Rouge, 1st time they stopped seating people almost an hour before they closed. Drove in again yesterday, a Thursday, 630pm, they're closed. 😔
Food was okay at best, I ordered a chicken and sausage gumbo and literally it came with one piece of chicken the size of a sipping straw. Calamari had more peppers and onions than Calamari itself, ripoff.. and the only reason I gave it a 2 is because the spinach dip was good.. other then that, we will not be coming back.
I visited yesterday evening and left quite disappointed. I've been here a couple of times before and always had a good experience, but this time the food didn’t meet expectations. We started with the crab and artichoke dip, which tasted fishy and was barely warm. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she apologized and offered to take it away but didn't offer a replacement or offer to remove it from the bill. We then had the seafood platter, which was also just lukewarm and tasted like it might have been pre-prepared. On a positive note, the service was excellent—that's the main reason I gave it 2 stars. At this price point, I expect a lot better.
We made a reservation but when we got there we had to wait for a table even though walk-ins were seated ahead of us. The waitress also got our order wrong in several ways, but rather than fix it said the manager was “in a bad mood and it would come out of her pay.” We thought the food quality was OK.
Our group left severely disappointed. It was unlike any other Landry’s experience I’ve ever had. We had reservations for 10. One meal had to be sent back because of spoiled fish. Two other dishes due to cold soups. The other meals were Ok… not up to our Landry’s past experiences. Service was ok, but very slow! The person who meal was sent back never received their second meal. Other than a simple verbal “I’m sorry” the situation was ignored by staff and management. We realize, it was a casino restaurant, but… The next day we stopped at a DQ on the way home and had their Chicken & Dumplings. EVERYONE LOVED THEM! We laughed about Landry’s the whole time.
Underwhelming. We've had amazing food and service previously, but both were lacking this evening. Medium rare steak came out blue the first go round. Was rare the second attempt. The second attempt also featured the sliced off portion being burnt to the point of being completely inedible. Finally got medium rare on the third attempt, but others were done eating, and side was already eaten. Manager offered a fresh side, but wouldn't have been fair to make everyone else wait on me to eat. The crab bisque was amazing as always. Waiter was good, but the kitchen needs some attention. No adjustment was made to the bill by management. Will likely eat elsewhere on subsequent visits. Update the morning after. The entire party experienced stomach upset all day today. Especially bad on a six hour drive. Kitchen and management need improvement.
Unfortunately... the food and drinks were horrible. We love Landry’s group but it was very very disappointing... The pasta was cold and the shrimp was reheated... I could not even chew it... Definitely would never go back and try this location ever again... Hopefully they can do something... I understand it was busy but either do not allow that many people or hire trained staff who can serve, cook and apply the quality for the brand.
It’s 7:06 pm and it’s closed it’s our 40th anniversary I came down here for nothing I will never come here again and don’t waste your time here I should have just stayed home and gone to Pappas restaurant in Houston the only place was open was Salt Grass and they said it a 45 minute wait I will never go to a Tillman restaurant again that’s just bad customer service and everything looks dirty in the restaurant even the Cadillac bar is closed that’s not good business . Very disappointed.
I was really disappointed with the beer-battered fish I ordered. The pieces were tiny—honestly, they looked more like something you'd find in a kids' meal rather than a proper adult portion. For the price, I expected something more substantial, but what I got was just a couple of small, sad-looking strips that barely qualified as a main dish. The batter was okay, but nothing special, and it didn’t make up for the lack of fish. The fries and shrimp on the plate were fine, but the fish was the main event, and it completely let me down. I wouldn’t order this again—definitely not worth it.
Wish I could give a negative number. The bread was cold, the food was also cold. No flavor. My order was 1/2 a filet and a scoop of dirty rice. The catch of the day was not told to us but after we placed our order we saw it displayed high on the wall. We asked if we could change our order and was told no by our server, who only came to our table once. The restaurant only had 4 tables occupied at the time so her disappearing act was perplexing. I expected more out of Landry's. I was not only disappearing with the service but the food also. Don't plan on spending time or money at this point 😒 🙄 😕 gave high points on atmosphere due to the company I was dining with. Wish I had taken photos of our plates. Unbelievable.
So the atmosphere was great because it was a magnificent day and we were seated outside near the pool. The service was extremely slow however and way overpriced beverages served in plastic cups. Also disappointed that they do not offer any discounts to military veterans.
Once seated waited for 15 minutes had to ask for waitstaff. Food was brought out and was cold. Po’boy not prepared as I asked. Asked for sauce didn’t receive it until after finished eating 10minutes later. The shrimp were greasy as if they were cooked and served later.
Wanted a romantic date night for being married a week and was so excited for Landrys. What a waste of 85 dollars. Shrimp that had more tail and crust than meat and fish that was more grey mud taste than anything. Heartburn on a plate and easy waste of money. Also you’re so packed in there you can’t even hear each other speak. We heard more about the table next to us conversation than we could each other.
I’m so disappointed. I got the crab cakes , crab bisque, fried seafood platter & blackened catfish with the crawfish cream sauce. Nothing tasted good . The fried stuff tasted freezer burnt, the catfish also had a burnt taste from being grilled, the “cream” sauce had a strong, nasty flavor it wasn’t good at all. And it had peas in it … whyyyy is there peas in a crawfish cream sauce … The crab bisque was decent but I wouldn’t eat here again. I was highly disappointed & wish I would’ve went somewhere else.
Our food was really underwhelming and under seasoned as was our wait staff. The overall experience was not good and it was very expensive. We left there mad. We could have had a really nice dinner anywhere we wanted for what we paid. We paid Ruth Chris prices for Piccadilly food.
Waited over an hour after being seated. Manager walking around idle. We ordered a seafood fundu as an appetizer. No flavor very small for the price. No customer service. Will not be back
$105. For a dozen chargrilled oysters and blackened chicken salad and 4 beers. Service was awful and food was awful. Never eating there again. Where we sat was great outside and weather was good. Inside tables are so close together and it's loud in there. A couple celebrating 27 years ended up leaving because over 1 hour and 45 mins passed and still waiting for food. Nicest people too. LANDRYS DO BETTER!
I tried to treat myself after a particularly rough week. My bill was easily $70. I ordered a steak and baked potatoes. I couldn't cut the baked potatoe because it was over cooked in a microwave. The steak? Grill marks on one side are fake. Landrys is supposed to be a tad upscale, i threw most of it out and got a quarter pounder. Disgusting.
I'm writing this review for my daughter because she's too busy throwing up to write it for herself. I probably would not have even wrote this review had someone answered the phone at the Golden Nugget so I could speak to someone. I tried calling several times and was put on hold and then transferred. I was put on a phone que for several minutes and when it will get to my turn it would hang up on me. All I wanted to do was speak to a manager. My daughter and her boyfriend came in from Baton Rouge and it was their first night stay at the Golden Nugget. They were planning on visiting me the next day. They checked in around 4:00 and met another couple ,an old friend of hers to have dinner with them at Landry's. Her boyfriend ordered the raw oysters. When they were done eating within an hour they had to go to the room because he vomited violently all night long and had to get up early and drive back. My daughter started vomiting on the drive back. They did not get to enjoy their hotel room that cost them $350, they did not get to swim, and they did not get to visit with me today. I have not been able to get in touch with any manager at the Golden Nugget about this issue. This is very disappointing and I'm sure they will never want to go there again. Maybe someone will do the right thing and reach out to them.
So my kiddo wanted seafood. We were in the area so we ordered to-go shrimp entree and fish and shrimp entree. I sat and ordered at the bar. The food took approximately 20 minutes. For $68 and the kind of profile this restaurant supposed to have I expected my food to be hot, presentable, and taste good. This was by far the worst food I’ve had in quite some time. I’d expect this from a fast food chain but not Landry’s considering the fact that I’ve eating at several of the sister restaurants and had no problems. This was a waste of my time and money in addition to the $4.00 upcharge for to go for poor food (soggy fish and shrimp). I should’ve checked before I left… my first and last time eating there.
Had the catfish and shrimp and was barely warm when I got it. Also too much breading on it almost like it was fried twice, chewy and stretchy. Service was great. I just expected so much more from a Tillman Fertitta restaurant and the Golden Nugget.
Service was on point. My wife and I had dinner on a Sunday night. There was a manager named Jeff that was going around to tables greeting guests. He managed to greet every table around us but ours. Doesn’t sound like a big deal but I just don’t understand why. Or better yet why not. Was it us?
If I could give 0 stars I would.. Lance the “manager” needs to go back to training to learn the importance of good customer service. We ordered a baked potato with a side of grilled chicken to go in the potato.. well the potato was cold! We asked that the potato and chicken be removed from the bill as we already waited 40 min and didn’t want to wait longer for a “new” potato. Lance came to the table with an attitude refusing to take the chicken off the bill ignoring the fact chicken was for the potato therefore it is no longer a need for the chicken anymore.. I told him I would be reporting his nasty attitude he stated he doesn’t care .. wow so much for a “manager” don’t spend a dime with these folks go to salt grass and save your time and money! Lance was very rude with a very nasty attitude.
I came to do dinner seminars for three days in a row, twice a day. When I set up the reservation, I was told we could come for a $1000 minimum for both seminars total per day. That's what my deposit paperwork had on it was the $1000 minimum. But, I later discovered that when she sent the follow up contracts, she changed it to me having to pay for 20 meals per seminar regardless of my attendance. I didn't catch it on the BEO (shame on me) because we never discussed this so shame on her for changing it on me. So, the first day, I was hit with a $1400 bill for 25 dinners at $31.99 each. I told them they could fix this to what we had previously agreed to or I would never be back after this week. They refused to honor the original agreement so we paid a little over $400 more than we should have each day. Unfortunately for them, their extra $1200 is going to cost them thousands because we come back to these locations every 90 days. Also, for the price of $31.99, it was the least amount of food I've ever seen. One small piece of protein and one side. Then, they have some silly rule that when you do a private event, people are not allowed to get a to go box (not that we needed any with that small amount of food). Lastly, three of my six seminars I had issues with servers interrupting me during my presentation which I specifically emphasized not to do. So, overall, not happy with this restaurant, especially with the bait and switch they pulled on me that cost us over $1200.
