Enjoyed Last Night's Dinner The Rekect.
I love coming here. Its always fun and the food is always good. I love getting hibachi and sushi selection is large and fresh! Thank you for the wonderful service time and time again!
We like it over there they are cool. Try the flaming volcano 🌋 it is delicious 😋
I took my team out to holiday lunch here, and everyone really enjoyed the hibachi lunch. Meat quality was top notch.
If you’re in a rush, this is not the place for you. Tokyo Sushi Bar and Hibachi is a charming, locally-owned spot that I’ve visited several times—and it never disappoints. The food speaks for itself: some of the best ramen and sushi In Lake Jackson, always fresh and cleanly prepared. Grace is key here, as the same small team is often working tirelessly all day to serve guests. While the service isn’t always the fastest or most polished, it’s clear the focus is on quality and care. If you come with patience, you’ll enjoy a delicious meal and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. For sushi lovers who appreciate the heart in a meal, this place is a hidden gem.
We usually eat here every Sunday night, sometimes Saturday nights. The atmosphere is always great. The servers always have a great attitude and the sushi cooks, Jim-san and Suhn-son always make amazing sushi. I've had every saké they have there and they're all great, some are dry and sour and some are fruity and sweet like a good moscato. I highly recommend this place.
Quiet and tasty lunch spot. Can get busy for dinner.
Good food. Chef was nice and interactive. The Hibachi is perfect if you're not in a bit of a hurry, or are looking for a quiet dinner to talk amongst your date. If you are looking for the Hibachi, (great for kids) once you get sat if there are more seats you will more than likely have to wait till the table fills up. You will also be sitting elbow to elbow with your neighbors. You can sit in the dining area and still order from the Hibachi. Not as entertaining but still good food and atmosphere.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE hire more staff. The one waitress, one cook (most of the time) isn’t service, let alone good service. It shouldn’t take over 2 hrs to have dinner. Business would be so much better if it was staffed and managed right. People only go because of the lack of hibachi options here
Food is very good as are the chefs but service tends to be poor. Often times drinks don't get refilled in a timely manner and always trying to take advantage of customers on price. Will try to remove lunch special on holidays but are completely inconsistent. What is a holiday and which ones move based on "an on the day decision". Also language problems result in mistakes on your order and they always pass the price increase on to the customer and never take personal responsibility.
Ordered to go and they forgot my sauce so I had to go back and the sauce was bad maybe sour? Over all food was not worth the price.
Food was ok, i feel like they did not use any seasoning at all. The food was not worth the price... Service was not very good, let's server.I did not speak, hardly any english. So there was quite a language barrier.
Decent, over priced, and but a shadow of its former glory. The fork I had was bent out of place. The soup was colder than I like and the rice was hotter than I’m used to. Had the teriyaki steak which was suppose to be medium rare but was no where near it. One piece was chewy while another fell apart in my mouth. The vegetables were ok at best. The salad has watered down thousand island type dressing in it. The bread pieces in the salad were bland and tasted oily.
Terrible dining experience!!!!!!!!! We did not go for the hibachi experience so only needed a regular table. There was only one other family at a regular table. TEN MINUTES to be seated. Another five minutes to be offered anything to drink. ANOTHER TEN MINUTES to get our order taken. So, that's nearly a half hour in the building so far and not even placed an order. I would have left but it was my wife's birthday and she wanted to stay. Once we placed our order it was another TWENTY FIVE MINUTES before the sushi (cold fish, ya know? no cooking required) arrived. Another five minutes before the tempura arrived. We ate all of that and still no roll. I finally had to go up and retrieve my own roll from the sushi station. And it was still hot so it had just been made. I then had to track down the waitress to get her to take my credit card. I stood there and waited for her to finish the charge because I didn't want to wait another 10 minutes to get the bill paid. Almost an hour and a half to eat. Food wasn't bad, but it wasn't worth the wait. Well, except for the tempura shrimp that wasn't properly cleaned. Never again. We'll stick to Yoshi over by the HEB. That place is 10,000 times better.
We made a reservation a week ago and even called earlier today to make sure they had our reservation for tonight, she said yes. We got there, stood at the door for 10 minutes. A lady finally came and took people a head of us that didn’t have a reservation. We waited another 5 minutes and then she came back and asked how many we had and if we could wait a few more minutes. I explained to her we actually made a reservation a week ago for 6pm, it’s now 6:15. She kept asking me for how many. She asked at least 5 times how many people we had. When she finally sat us at a hibachi table, we noticed there were only 2 hibachi cooks and 8 hibachi tables and they were all full with people that haven’t been helped yet. Make that make sense. We waited another 10 minutes and then finally walked out. At least we actually got to sit at a table this time before walking out. Last time we waited at the door for 20 minutes without being helped and that was over 2 years ago. I said I would never return then, I decided to give it another try for Mother’s Day and it was just another disappointment. Management sucks and was no were to be found. Those poor cooks and servers deserve better!! Will definitely never return!!
Worst service ever and I never even visited the place. I'm a first responder/traveler here in town to work specially with COVID patients. Today is my 4th day and I HAD a taste for Japanese food. I placed my order through Uber eats like usual. I got a text from someone at the restaurant even asking how I wanted my steak cooked however when the driver arrived my order was cancelled. I called and spoke to a lady but couldn't understand her because she spoke to fast. I told her I couldn't understand so she hung up on me. I called back spoke to her again but she gave someone else the phone because I still couldn't understand. The guy got on and told me there was an issue with my card. I asked what hawhat issue because I only use that card for Uber eats and there is money on oy. He hung up on me also. So I called back a third time because I really wanted to know what was wrong. I already waited 25 mins for the food. I had to go through the last two I spoke with to get a third person and all she could tell me was that they wasn't telling her what was going on but sometimes they have issues with their machine. I gave up. Wost customer service ever. I wouldn't recommend ordering online or over the phone. I think of I was in store it wouldn't have ended like this but because it did I won't be going. I'll order from the Vietnamese restaurant again
