Walking into Best Friend at Park MGM feels like stepping straight into a quirky corner of Los Angeles. The entrance is styled like a convenience store, complete with colorful shelves and playful details, and then suddenly it opens up into a completely different world—a vibrant dining space with a party-like energy. Servers dressed in track suits set the playful tone, while a DJ keeps the atmosphere buzzing with music. It’s got the vibe of a supper club mixed with a neighborhood hangout—lively, fun, and unmistakably Vegas. The food is the real star here: a thoughtful and plentiful blend of Korean and American flavors. Every dish we tried was excellent—bold, flavorful, and satisfying, with portions big enough to share but so good you won’t want to. Service was just as impressive. The staff were attentive, warm, and seemed to enjoy the vibe as much as the guests, which really pulled the whole experience together. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A must-visit on the Strip if you want a mix of incredible food, party-like energy, and one of the most unique dining atmospheres in Vegas.
Service was crazy good. Just appeared anytime we needed something. Drinks were great. My wife had a watermelon cocktail she loved. I had a high ball and am Old Company, all refreshing. We did family style as suggested. Got shrimp, buttermilk chicken, and the street corn. Generous portions. All delicious. The street corn might be the best I've had. The chicken was perfectly crispy but juicy on the inside. One thing to note, it is loud in here. They were playing good music, but was hard to have a conversation without shouting
We had an absolutely fantastic time at Best Friend in the Park MGM. The whole vibe was really cool, we loved the resident DJ and all of his spin choices!! Our bartender, Israel, made some amazing drinks, like the yummy ‘Salty Bear’. His customer service was phenomenal and he definitely made us want to come back! The Kimchi Fried Rice and the ‘Spicy Pork’, with its thinly sliced belly and shoulder on a sizzling platter, were both fantastic and more than enough for two. The 32 oz Corona Familiar Caguama just added a fun touch. Highly recommend Best Friend!
This is one of my favorite restaurants ever, which is a shame since I don’t live in Las Vegas. However, we go every year for our anniversary trip and this is always the dinner we have on the first night! It is important to make reservations, as your chances of walking in are not great (especially on the weekends). We have eaten at both the bar portion and inside the restaurant, and we enjoyed eating inside better! The food is so good and so creative. It is a mix of all different cuisines and it somehow works so well. We went with a big group last time and every person got something different, it was all delicious. My favorite dishes were the Kimchi Fried Rice, Uni Dynamite Rice, and Kimchi Carbonara. The drinks are great, the food is delicious and the vibes are fun - cannot recommend enough!
Celebrated my brother’s birthday at Best Friend by Roy Choi inside MGM Park, and the whole experience was fantastic. You walk in through a fun bodega-style entrance, then step into a darker, club-style dining room with a DJ playing 90s hits — such a cool vibe. Our server, James, was great and helped us choose Set Menu B, which ended up being perfect for sharing. The banchan was fresh and flavorful, the Kogi tacos were a great starter, and the ribeye and spicy pork were cooked beautifully. My family enjoyed the lobster course as well. Dessert was a highlight — the sticky toffee pudding (with a birthday candle!) and the strawberry shortcake with lime sorbet were the perfect finish. From the service to the music to the food, everything came together for a memorable night. Great spot for celebrations or anyone craving Korean flavors with a Vegas twist.
I had a $100 food credit with my stay at Park MGM and had 1 night to use it, so I poined up to the bar at Best Friend and told the bartender I was going to order a mountain of food and take a lot to go. Matt was the man and steered me in the right direction, and I absolutely did get a mountain of food. For $100 before tax and tip, I got the elote, kogi rib tacos, kimchi fried rice, the spicy pork, and the lumpia. I struggled to even make a dent and am pretty sure this would have fed 3 normal people. For ~$35 a person in Vegas, this place is incredible value. Not only did Matt help me pick my food but he was super chill to talk to about Vegas in general. Made my solo dining experience that much better!
Went to Best Friend at Park MGM and loved the vibe right away. The food was bold and flavorful — We ordered a few dishes to share, and everything was so good, especially korean kimchi strew. The rice served with the kimchi jjigae was generous and fun to eat, which made the dish even better. The atmosphere is lively and fun, perfect for a night out with friends. A bit loud, but that’s part of the Vegas energy. Would definitely come back.
We stopped into Best Friend at Park MGM for a late night drink and had such a good time. We decided to stay in the bodega-style area because it was just such a fun vibe - colorful, 90’s hip-hop playing, and merch everywhere. I ordered the lumpia and the watermelon margarita. The lumpia were super crispy and packed with filling, and the dipping sauce had the perfect kick. The watermelon margarita was fresh and not too sweet. Overall, such a fun spot and I’d definitely come back for the full experience.
Went back to give this establishment another chance after a negative customer service experience. They really stepped up rose to the occasion!!! My overall experience here was great!!! The Asian fusion cuisine was delicious, and the drinks were great as well. I had their version of an Old Fashioned, which had both bourbon and anejo tequila as the co-stars. Very strong, yet tasty! Everything we tried was great, from the salted yeast rolls, the Korean wings, Slippery Shrimp, the Kimchi Fried Rice, the Big Boy Platter, the Lumpia, and the Steak and Lobsta platter. The service was incredible and super attentive, and the ambience was great. They have a DJ spinning 90’s and 2000’s hip hop and R&B, which contributed to the overall wonderful experience. Definitely one of the best Asian Fusion restaurants in Vegas! Can’t wait to go back!!!
Best Friend — the crème de la crème of Vegas dining, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. 🍽️ Food: Every single dish exceeded expectations. The garlic chicken was incredibly tender, the pork belly hot pot delivered a perfect balance of rich and savory flavors, and the slippery shrimp was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The homemade Hawaiian roll might honestly be the best piece of bread I’ve ever had… soft, buttery, and unforgettable. Even the giant 32oz Sierra Mist in a solo cup somehow added to the fun, laid-back energy of the meal. 👨🍳 Service: Gabriel was excellent, and multiple staff members stopped by to check in on us, making sure everything was perfect. The whole team worked like a well-tuned machine, making the experience seamless and welcoming. 🎶 Aesthetic: The atmosphere was electric — a hidden-backroom-style setup with low lighting, great music, and a vibrant, stylish design. From the cool entrance to the overall vibe, this place oozes personality and makes for an unforgettable night out in Vegas.
Wow this place is a place for your senses to go wild. It smells delicious when you walk in. There is so much to look at with the front being designed like an Asian market. When you’re in the dining room the music is so good you will be dancing in your chair while looking at everything hung on the walls and ceiling. The server took fantastic care of us! The food was delicious. We were so busy eating I didn’t get pictures of everything. Everything we had from apps to dessert was on point. And I recommend eating family style so you can try everything. Definitely a cool experience! We will be back next time we are in Vegas.
Wow! So small backstory we met roy at disneyworld at teppan edo some years back did we know it was him ..nope lol but the staff were going nuts about him so at the end of the meal I asked who he was haha anyways he told us he had restaurants and mentioned this one specifically so we added it to our list. Finally got to visit ! Food was fantastic i did the chefs menu. I lived the shrimp and the fried rice so much the taco was good but I honestly felt everything else was better ! I will definitely be back!
This place was just something special. Located in park mgm. Food was amazing. The crisp on the chicken was unlike any chicken I've ever had. Getting into the restaurant was an experience all it's own. Do yourself a favor and check this one out.
So goooood! Ask for the kitchen booth. Set menu #B great value and delicious. Added fries and we were not disappointed. Some of the best I’ve ever had. Service was on point.
5/5 Everything about Best Friend is super cool. The atmosphere isn't like anything I've ever seen and the food was also unique in the best way. Still thinking about how good the fries and sauce were. The chicken we ordered was tender and flavorful as well. It was nice to get a diet coke portion that was so large I didn't have to ask for a refill!
Other reviews are pretty accurate in that the vibe of the place is very much, “We know we’re cool so we don’t care what you think,” which makes for slightly less attentive service, but oh my god does the food deliver! Everything here is top notch with really generous portions. By far the best meal we had on the strip! Highly recommend
Best meal we had in Vegas, by far. Cool atmosphere too! We ordered the side of broccoli, the kimchi fried rice, and the spicy pork. Devoured everything and would have ordered more if we could have made space for it.
The drinks at Best Friends were absolutely amazing, but the food? Phenomenal! We tried the Uni Dynamite fried rice, street corn, and the Big Boy platter. Every dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The service was on point, with staff who were super friendly and gave excellent food recommendations. A top-notch dining experience all around. Can’t wait to come back!
I finally made it out to Best Friend at Park MGM—this spot has been on my radar for a couple of years, and I’m glad I was finally able to check it out. The decor is super unique and eye-catching. I really liked how they brought in elements of L.A.’s Latin American community—it gives the place a cool, authentic vibe. The whole restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the atmosphere is lively and loud—in a fun way. They were playing rap classics all night, which made it feel like we were having dinner at a nightclub. The energy was great. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We ordered a few plates to share as a group, and everything we had was amazing. I especially loved the street corn and the veggie noodles. The BBQ sampler is perfect for sharing—it comes with garlic chicken, spicy pork, and BBQ beef short ribs. Everything was delicious. I definitely recommend this place for a group outing. Just keep in mind—it’s a loud spot, but the vibes are all positive.
As a Vegas local, this is one of my fave restaurants we’ve tried. Fusion foods are my jam and Best Friend does it perfectly. Everything we tried was fabulous. The service was a little lacking but the food made up for it. Atmosphere definitely adds to the fun.
One of the best value for your buck in vegas, get the tasting menu and bring your appetite!!!! Seriously don’t skip this spot!!! And staff is so friendly and nice.
Damn this place is good, a lot of food portion. Spicy pork is Spicy but freaking good and tender. Noodles are amazing, fall off the bone. The only problem was the price for a beer, it was $10 for a 12oz can
This was a must stop for us in Vegas. We're huge fans and were not disappointed. The atmosphere, the service, the food - everything was delicious. The cocktails (which we weren't there for), turned out to be just as good. Make this a stop if you're in the area, but try to make reservations if you can. Eating in the actual restaurant (in the back) is a whole other experience.
Really cute spot in Park MGM, food was tasty we loved the tacos and kimchi fried rice best! Carbonara was very tasty! Loud but we like music so not a problem for us, service was friendly and fast. Complimentary rolls were divine!!!
I've dined here 4 times. I've tried the ribeye, the sticky ribs, and the wings. All of which were great but the ribs were truly unbelievable. The wings are seasoned and served with sauce on the side. Sat at the bar and experienced excellent service.
Best Friend may just have themselves a new best friend. We changed up our whole day’s plan so that we could come here for an early dinner and I am so glad we did! When you enter you are met with a really cool environment/vibe. Our meal decision was easy. Banchan sampler, kimchi fried rice, and the BBQ platter. All 3 were delicious. The sampler was fun as we tried different things that were unique from other Korean restaurants we had be to like peach and watermelon. The kimchi fried rice was the perfect companion to the bbq platter. It had good flavor and I enjoyed the texture too!! The dish that stole the show was the BBQ platter. It came with their garlic chicken, pork, and ribs. It came on a pile of onions. I am not kidding when I said it was some of the best meat I have had- especially the pork. In all we are very glad we decided to come here and would recommend it to anyone who is a foodie. The only draw back is how loud it is which made up want to rush through our meal a little bit…so I felt like it couldn’t be a perfect five.
The food and atmosphere is amazing . Got the Birria Ramen and my husband got the beef tacos and they had so much flavor. Loves the way the places looked and servers gave great recommendations for both food and dessert. Need to be a must stop when you are in Vegas
Good food and a good waiter the hostesses could be a tad kinder but I understand how busy it can be for them. Resto did feel like they were trying to churn us quick as we asked for our food to come out in specific rounds but it came out all at once on our very small table for two.
My husband and I got the wonderful opportunity to eat here after hearing about it for months. The food was to die for! We loved the ambiance and chill vibe, the music, lighting all of it! We will be coming back and highly recommend getting the chef menu if it’s ur first time. Then it gives more excuses to come back and try new things.
Food was phenomenal, every bite was great. Very unique vibe and palette for Vegas. Would definitely recommend to others
Great, laid back dinner spot that was reasonably priced. Their housemaid Hawaiian rolls were a great start to the meal! Their ban chan sampler was good - not as authentic as we've had at other restaurants - but still worth trying! We liked the crisp on the slippery shrimp but wish the flavor was a little stronger. We also got the bbq garlic chicken and that was so flavorful. Definitely our favorite dish that we tried!
Solid 4.0 stars. Dropped in for Sunday dinner before Bruno Mars show without reservations. No luck as they were booked solid. The hostess though shared that we could choose to wait and find an open spot in the bar area and some of the small high top tables. Lady Luck was on our side as a small table opened up which we slid right in. Menu has lots of intriguing options as well as neat design along with various Roy Choi childhood pictures. Some of them brought back similar flashbacks as a Chinese kid with a flat top in the early 90s. Our party of four ordered a round of drinks: two Watermelon ($19 each), one Jasmine Tea Lager ($13), and one Hot Tea ($6). Our friends enjoyed their Watermelon drink which was sesame infused 818 tequila blanco, lime, and fresh watermelon juice. We opened up with the Banchan Sampler ($18), Lumpia ($16), and Elotes ($13). Banchan Sampler was average. It reminded me more of the usual small dishes you’d get when eating Korean BBQ except the portions were smaller here. Lumpia was good so another order was added on. Elotes were tasty but nothing extraordinary. We then had the Spicy Pork ($32) and Southside Ribs ($32) split for the table. These were both absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and fell right off the bones while the sautéed onions were packed full of Korean flavors. We did order some shrimp but it never arrived so the manager took it off the tab. All-in with tip, dinner for our group ran around $240. Vegas is expensive!
Best Friend makes a strong first impression. The speakeasy-style entrance through a faux convenience store sets a playful tone, and slipping past the “store” into the warehouse-like dining room immediately feels like part of the experience rather than just a meal. We were seated near the expo line, which turned out to be one of the highlights. Watching the controlled chaos of the kitchen in motion added energy and made the space feel alive. It’s a great seat if you’re curious about how things come together behind the scenes. There is also a Chef’s table in the kitchen if interested. Dining with a group allowed us to try a wide range of dishes, and that’s probably the best way to experience Best Friend. The menu leans adventurous and creative, with bold ideas that made this Roy Choi’s hotspot a destination and sometimes the dishes land really well and other times fall a bit flat. When it works, it’s exciting. When it doesn’t, it’s forgettable. Best Friend is absolutely worth a visit for the atmosphere, the concept, and the chance to see it for yourself. It’s the kind of place that earns a checkmark, fun to experience once, memorable for the setup, but not a restaurant that I’ll crave a return trip.
Do not come here expecting an authentic Korean LA experience—come for the Korean-Mexican fusion they offer. Personally, I don’t think it’s worth the price point. I got the Chef’s Course Menu B at $95 per person, and honestly it was not worth it. Some items were genuinely disappointing. For example, their banchan sampler was one of the worst banchan experiences I’ve had at a restaurant, and it costs $18, which is wild considering banchan is free and refillable at pretty much every Korean restaurant. It’s sad that this might be some people’s first exposure to Korean cuisine. On the positive side: • The shrimp dish was amazing. • The salad was good. • The LA galbi tacos were very mid—way too much sauce that overpowered the meat. • The meat platter (chicken thigh, spicy pork, and steak) was great. • The kimchi fried rice was solid. Their date cake is absolutely amazing.. their best dish by far!! I personally wouldn’t come back, but if I ever did, I’d order à la carte instead of getting the course menu.
This delightful Korean restaurant exudes a vibrant and inviting ambiance, adorned with modern decor and subtle traditional elements. The warm lighting creates a cozy atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family. As you step inside, the tantalizing aromas of marinated meats and spicy kimchi waft through the air, immediately whetting your appetite
Located in Park MGM, you can sit in the front area (limited seats) or make a reservation for the restaurant in the back. We were able to get a seat at a small table when you walk in. That area seemed always busy when we walked past. Some of their food is very spicy. They have a very unique menu and there meals are prepared with some flavorful spices. Prices were average for the area. If you are looking for something different, check this place out.
The food was good, but nothing extraordinary. The kimchi fried rice was cold. Probably it had been cooked earlier and wasn’t reheated properly. The BBQ platter and lumpia were okay as well. I wouldn’t say the meal was amazing or bad, just average overall.
Food smells good and service was nice but the food was honestly very mid and very expensive for what it is. I tried the fried shrimp, ramen fries, tacos, street corn, and date cake. None of them were especially standout for their price point.
Wife wanted soup and of my book marked spots, this looked to be the best spot. If you have a reservation, you can sit in the restaurant, everyone else in the “bar” first come. Menu was brief. Wife got the oxtails soup and I got the pork belly bowl. Both of us were satisfied, but wishing there was more on the menu. I think we would come back, but it wouldn’t be long before we had tried everything we would want to try.
A fun place, vibrant, decent music. Last time I got the fried chicken and that was excellent, this time I went with the garlic chicken. The spicy cucumber salad was excellent. The beer came in small cans.
We had a really great dining experience here. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. We tried the tacos, kimchi, chicken, and ramen – everything was full of flavor and very well prepared. The ramen had a rich broth and balanced toppings, the chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned, and even the sides like kimchi added a nice authentic touch. The dessert was amazing – definitely one of the highlights of the meal. On top of the food, the service was excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and very fast, which made the whole experience even better. The only things I didn’t love were that the restaurant felt a bit loud and dark. Some dishes were a little 🌶️ spicy.
We had a fun dinner at Best Friend and were excited to experience Chef Roy Choi's Korean culinary creations. We had a reservation and were seated immediately at a large table in the back close to the kitchen. Some favorites from the many things we tasted were the BBQ Kalbi, Charred Zucchini, Uni Dynamite Rice, and the street corn. The food was great, although the service was a bit slow and at times confusing. Dishes we didn't order showed up to our table which was slightly concerning due to a severe shellfish allergy we had in our party. Unfortunately, I left my signet ring behind that had belonged to my father. It had his initials on it, and I took it off to each some of the messier finger food, and regrettably forgot it at our table. I called later that night when I noticed it was missing and it never turned up. Very sad that the busser either took the ring instead of turning it in, or it ended up in the trash by accident. Either way, it really sucked and was a bit of a damper on the whole evening.
Friendly bar tender made the experience better. Food runner was rude and acted like it was a real effort to drop food each time. The tasting menu is a decent value by LV standards. Had leftovers for lunch the next day.
I had reservations for the evening of Aug. 31 but ended up dining here twice, the first on the 29th at 11:30pm because of the traffic issues on Park Ave. I sat at the bar and ordered a couple of Hendricks gin & tonics ($19ea), Kalbi tacos ($19) and seasoned fries ($13). The place is decorated somewhat garishly but the vibe was nice. My tacos were okay; the outer tortilla was a little stale. The seasoned fries would have been good, but half of the basket contained limp fries, a no-no for me. $88.70 for tacos, fries and two drinks seemed somewhat expensive. On the 31st, my friend and I found ourselves in the main dining room, accessed via a curtain at the front. Whoa, this place is huge! I had another Hendricks & tonic ($18, why cheaper in the main dining?), and we ordered the Banchan Sampler ($18), Our House Salad ($16), Kalbi ($40) and a bowl of rice ($3). The banchan were so-so, I thought the kimchi was too sour (and I like sour kimchi), but the kalbi was fine. The tab came to $127.96, which seemed reasonable. My take? Choose wisely and you’ll be happy. Rating: 3.5 to 4.
I saw another review describe Best Friend’s service as something like “we know we’re cool so we don’t care”, and that perfectly sums it up. Reservation for 8:45PM on a weeknight. Upon arrival we were told they were running behind on reservations by about 20 minutes. Booths are very cramped. One of our main dishes came out before our drinks and appetizer. The pork belly in the manchego bowl was phenomenal. Drinks were good.
At Best Friend in the Park MGM, Roy Choi brings the flair, but maybe not the flavor I was hoping for. With seating both up front and behind a “hidden” door (very speakeasy chic), the back room brings the energy with loud music and moody lighting—great for vibes, less great for conversation. I had a reservation but was seated at the bar, where the bartender took my order. The menu is an eclectic mashup of Korean, Japanese, Mexican, and Filipino dishes; basically a greatest hits album of Asian-ish cuisine. I went with the Uni Dynamite Rice ($29) and the Medjool Date Cake ($13). The food? Not bad, but not boom-wow either. For the price, I expected a bit more punch from this “casual” spot. It came highly recommended, so maybe I just picked the wrong dish. I’d give it a second shot, but next time, I’m bringing lower expectations and earplugs.
I think I may have outgrown Best Friend. I travel here specifically for my birthday since 2022. I have tried countless dishes and they are a fun fusion but the last two times I've been (yesterday and last April), I don't think I'll be back. It's a vibe, but the uppity-ness of the staff sounds like Roy Choi has said he behaved in his past, and honestly, the food quality has diminished. Still... I may have just overstayed, you know?
Must was Just too loud. There was no consideration that all guests and staff were struggling to speak and communicate. Too dark and had to use own phones to lit up the menu. Food wise : How can anyone get RICE wrong?! It’s just about the right portion of water to rice but here, the rice is soft and soggy. The bread the gave in front was pleasant but I guess maybe some butter can uplift the experience. The sauce they use on pork belly bowl reminded me of China, not Korea. Maybe consider something like a bulgogi sauce? The only nice thing here are the chicken wings. That’s a must order. It has the potential to be the star item here but it’s under utilised to leverage it for better revenue generator Had trouble getting staffs attention to pay cause too dark and too noisy.
Would NOT recommend dining here. Good branding BAD food.... Absolutely horrendous food which was way too basic, lazy, bland and boring. Drinks were not amazing either. Service was so slow, they only took our drinks order 30 mins after we sat down and we also had to wait in line for 20 mins despite having made a reservation 2 months prior. The music is so loud you can’t talk to the person sat next to you. Place is also really dark you can barely see the food. The front section of the restaurant is fun but a very unenjoyable dining experience. Don't waste your money here. It's a very overhyped spot, I'd rather go to Momofuku or Nobu next time and just stick to those two spots for modern asian.
Unfortunately, the food was not good at all, it was overly spicy and poorly balanced. The atmosphere was extremely loud, which made it hard to enjoy the meal or have a conversation. Our server only checked on us once, and the front desk staff was not polite and didn’t even smile or make us feel welcome. Overall, it was not a pleasant dining experience, and we expected much better.
