We were visiting the Castello on a Sunday, and this place was recommended by a local that we met on our way up. This place is amazing, the moment we set foot in side we got that vibe of a traditional, authentic family restaurant. It was full of local people, and families having birthdays, which was a very good sign. It was by far the best meal we had in our trip. We tasted the flavours of the local cuisine, and they were only traditional dishes on the menu. Special thanks to the girl that even though was ashamed, spoke in English to us and could suggest what to order and gave us a top service. We will definitely recommend this place to family and friends, and we’re looking forward to coming back, and hopefully my Italian would be better by then. My wife used Google translate to tell them in Italian how good everything was, and they seemed very proud and thankful.

Familiar and informal atmosphere, just the way I like it. Splendid location on the edge of a forest, surrounded by greenery. Welcoming atmosphere and hospitable staff. Excellent cold cuts and cheeses served with homemade jams. The rabbit with polenta is also very good. Excellent homemade desserts. Generous portions 👍well done, we will definitely be back. A word of advice, book well in advance.

A quaint trattoria with a large outdoor garden overlooking the lake. It has a rustic feel from the outside, but inside the atmosphere is clean, familiar, and welcoming. The appetizers include traditional cured meats and cheeses accompanied by jams, all extremely good and fresh. The other dishes on the menu aren't many, but they embody the saying: few but good!!! I tried several first and second courses, and I truly enjoyed them all!! The portions are generous and the flavors authentic, and you can taste that these are dishes made with love. I love the tagliatelle with wild boar ragù, and the venison stew is truly something special! The desserts, of course, are fabulous; I have a weakness for their Nutella cheesecake! The owners and all the staff are down-to-earth people who love their customers; I think that's the best thing you could find. They are attentive to every need, and despite the crowds, the service is always prompt and attentive. Plus, the value for money is truly unbeatable. A must-try restaurant!!

Very nice place where they do serve high-quality dishes you expect to find in the hills and mountains around Lecco. We arrived there on foot, leaving Lecco from the trainstation and following the #28 Rotary path there. It took us just over two hours to get there, having a 2 year old kid on our shoulders. Staff is very kind and efficient, bringin all the dishes (we had one primo and one secondo) at the same time, so we could enjoy lunch all together. We definitely reccomend La Rocca and can't wait to go back here

After a nice uphill walk, you reach this restaurant, with a beautiful view of the lake. Very friendly staff, quality food, homemade pasta, a traditional menu, excellent cured meats and cheeses. Special first courses. Fairly priced for the quality, very generous portions. Just a little difficult to get to, so we gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Worth a try.

The road leading to the place is extremely steep. We walked all the way up to the restaurant only to find out that they are serving drinks only and the kitchen is not open, although it was 12:30pm. Extremely disappointed. At least the owner allowed us to use the toilet, however, be aware that it is the one where you have to squat.
