One of my best experience. Fabulous rustic hand made and naturel food. Warning! The place is difficult to locate. The address given on the sites (TripAdvisor etc) cannot be found via Google Map. Ask the locals before you start.

Incredible pasta, location and people. The road there is quite rough and not for the fainthearted. If you want to have a drink and not feel too worried about the way back I would suggest parking where the road is still in good shape and walking through the forest to get there.

A true gem hidden from view. We were passing nearby and needed to eat, and I found this place on google. I am not lying when I say this is one of the most truly Italian and local places I have eaten in. The road to get there is particularly bad and rough, but it is truly worth it. The staff are super kind and the place has a great atmosphere, and if they were to improve on the decorations/road this would change for the worst. I really reccomend this restaurant to anyone truly passionate about finding rustic gems with genuine Italian food.

Posto (una tempo bello) un po' lasciato andare. Strada per raggiungere il locale un impegnativa. Brutti da vedere anche cassonetti per la mundizia lasciati davanti. Servizio un po' lento. Cibo buono ma niente di speciale.

Primi e antipasti stellari, secondi e dolci buoni ma non eccezionali, qualità prezzo ottima. Non do 5 stelle solo perché la quantità del tris di primi era un po' scarsa....consiglio di prendere un primo a testa diverso ed assaggiare dagli altri in caso

Il posto è sicuramente da rimodernare ma il cibo è più che buono. Posto tranquillo, situato in un bosco. Accettano i cani, cosa per noi fondamentale. Ottimo prezzo.

Osteria spartana, alla buona, ma accogliente. Servizio in linea, familiare e cortese, gentili e simpatici. Piatti buoni, prezzi economici (30€ pranzo completo con vino e acqua) Meglio prenotare.

A restaurant frozen in time, it feels like stepping back into the '80s. The interior is very rustic, almost like a mountain cabin. It could use some maintenance. The food is good; we tried the set menu: pumpkin gnocchi, ravioli, and goat meat were all delicious. The appetizer and tiramisu were also good. The lake view is beautiful. The road to get there is a bit bumpy; if you have a low-slung car, it's best to park it at the beginning of the road.

The food are all on point, we had the best poleta we've ever tried. The whole wheat bread is also suprisingly so good. But the service was soo slow, seems disorganized, we've booked the place one day before, we came very early even before they weren't open, but no, they didnt prioritize us, the worst, they made us wait even longer, so long as for the other table had finished they second meal, and for us, we dont even have anything served on the table except ofc the coperto. I would recommend everyone who wants to eat something so authentic coming freshly as the typical mountain's culinary. The place might be a bit compact but warm enough for the upcoming winter as your small family gathering.

The place is very simple and rustic. Definitely not for the faint of heart... The food is good, at fairly reasonable prices (I'm attaching the receipt so you can get a clear idea, especially since "fair price" makes no sense). The staff is courteous, and the service is quick. I'd recommend the main courses, but the first courses are worth a try, too! My only complaint concerns order and cleanliness, as the broken tables and chairs at the entrance should be thrown away, and the landscaping around the parking lot could be tidied up. With these improvements, the place could be much more attractive.

A truly unique dining destination that one will remember! Following an off road drive through the woods, you arrive at this vintage osteria where a charming lady boss welcomes you. Mains were interesting, the truffle pasta with bresaola was rich, the rabbit was tender, and the wild boar was gamey and balanced by the olives. Desserts felt stale, but we were there very late so maybe we got whats left. Espresso was freshly made, but felt weak. Great service all round!

Locale un po "vintage", diciamo che avrebbe bisogno di qualche restauro. Pranzo di ferragosto tutto sommato buono, probabilmente non hanno la cucina adatta per sostenere tutte le prenotazioni ricevute, abbiamo assistito a tempi biblici nel servizio (per fortuna non nel nostro caso 😊) Fare attenzione alla strada stretta e dissestata a doppio senso di marcia (1,5km) 🤦🏻‍♂️

The road to get there isn't a particularly good one. It's a typical mountain road, with potholes and winding roads. If you have plans after lunch or dinner, go when it opens, as service is incredibly slow. An hour's wait for the two main courses (deer with polenta and beef goulash). Despite all this time, the food is really good! Good value.

I went for lunch on a holiday. I'll start by saying that to get there, you only have to take a small mountain road, and you have to hope no one comes down while you're climbing. There are chestnut trees there for picking. The interior of the place is like a slightly dated cabin, but cozy. Reservations are required... The appetizer was of cured meats and cheeses, accompanied by very good pickles and bread. I had polenta and "stew," but unfortunately the meat was cold and even after they reheated it, it wasn't enough... The house dessert was excellent, the service was discreet, and the staff was kind and helpful. You have to try it at least once!

Leggendo le recensioni ci aspettavamo qualcosa di super. Che dire, forse abbiamo beccato una giornata storta o forse lavorano meglio in estate. Navigatore che porta in un altro posto, fate attenzione. Ultimo km davvero da modalità avventura, prima parzialmente asfaltato, poi sterrato con voragini assurde e senza alcuna protezione laterale. Ai limiti della praticabilità. Spazio verde esterno ampio ma davvero dismesso. Giochi e panche rotte, bidoni rovesciati, betoniera per cemento. Interno tipico da osteria/trattoria, ambiente familiare e caldo ma datato. Bagno rotto, molta manutenzione da fare in molte zone. Personale cordiale, sorridente e disponibile. Cucina non all'altezza delle aspettative. Ci vengono serviti piatti non richiesti perchè quelli ordinati erano terminati. Qualità buona ma preparazione lontana dai nostri gusti. Sono sicuro che in cucina sia andato qualcosa storto, il locale era molto affollato (attesa 45 minuti per i primi!) e forse sono andati in difficoltà. Sicuramente in un altro momento o contesto, sanno dare un servizio superiore. Non so se consigliarlo o meno, c'è troppa distanza tra recensioni medie e ciò che abbiamo riscontrato. Sarebbe opportuno dargli "un'altra possibilità" e conoscere il parere dei locali. Ps: il belvedere dov'è? 😅

This place must have been fantastic once. But that time is long gone. I ended up here with three friends looking for an "old-fashioned osteria" with tasty, plentiful dishes at reasonable prices, and I only partially found what I was looking for. The osteria can be reached either by parking in the valley (and walking about a kilometer) or by car via the "stradina della mandria," a very narrow, often unpaved, two-way road (?!?): cars with low floors should not even attempt it. The exterior of the place seems to be in disrepair: there's a sense of abandonment. Other reviews here on Google Maps have noted this, and I can only confirm: maintenance seems to have been absent for months, perhaps it's done at the beginning of the summer season. The interior of the inn isn't particularly clean or well-lit: however, it's worth remembering that it's a "rustic mountain inn" and not a city restaurant; certain less-than-ideal situations are to be expected. But I'd expect a little less to see the owner's dog (a friendly and cuddly one) running free in the kitchen: I know people who wouldn't touch food just for that reason. The bathroom is forgettable: the toilet didn't flush, the sink is tiny, and there were no towels to dry them. The staff (three people: owner, chef, and waitress) is courteous, charming, and capable... but the service was still too slow. There were four tables occupied and 13 customers in total, but my friends and I waited over 45 minutes after the appetizer was served for the next courses, which was a bit too long. I wonder how long it must be when the room is full. The menu offers limited choices, and not all of them are necessarily available: after ordering the appetizer—which includes two courses: "mixed cold cuts with pickled vegetables" and "vanilla with lentils"—we later discovered that "vanilla with lentils" wasn't available (though we weren't told this when ordering). The portions are NOT what you'd expect from a mountain inn. My tagliolini with bresaola (a slice each), mushrooms (a few), and truffle cream were more than adequate, but the quantity was "like a proper restaurant." The appetizer "for two," to be shared between four, didn't exactly seem "for two." The beef goulash or roast rabbit my friends ordered, however, were more generous. And they were good, too. Not feeling full, a friend of mine and I, after an appetizer and a first course, ordered a mixed cheese platter and a "second round" of bread: both were excellent, completely satisfying. The house red wine was also good, a real surprise. Afterwards, the usual round of coffee and liqueurs. The owner, who must have seen a lot and had plenty of stories to tell, was very kind and even offered an extra round of liqueurs. Price per person? 22 euros, calculated on the spot by the owner himself. Considering what we ate and drank, everyone thought it was a fair price. It's unlikely I'll ever eat here again, but I did bring home some wonderful memories.
