The food here was amazing!!!! We got pad Thai, Pad see-ew, and yellow curry and all three were amazing. I definitely recommend this location. They only serve take out trays so be aware of that. I give it a 10 out of 5!!!
Best Papaya salad and Drunken noodles! Will definitely be back.
Great prices and great tasting food. Recommended for sure
First off, I just want to say that the staff was very nice and that alone made me more hopeful for the food. I ordered the chow mein, orange chicken, and the drunken noodles, and wow all of them were delicious. The chow mein was absolutely packed with flavor and if it's too much for you, you can mix it with rice and the flavors will spread all throughout the rice. The drunken noodles were perfectly cooked and once again the flavors were on point making you want more. Finally, the orange chicken was my favorite. The sauce was perfect and the vegetables were coated in the orange sauce making me finish my vegetables (crazy for me). Overall, I definitely need to come back to try the other dishes on the menu and it seems to be sooner than later. If you're looking for some good reasonably priced thai food this will become your go to spot in lemon grove.
I like Thai Food especially drunken noodles that are a 10 spicy so, when I found out that Lemon Grove had this place open up I went and tired it with my mom and we liked it and the best part it’s close to where I live in LG. I felt the food was a reasonable price for two people and good portion sizes as well. I been here two times already and the people that work their are real nice and they have the menu up front so, you can just take one and look. The only thing I would say is I think they over power just a little on the curry chicken by putting a lot of onions and in my opinion just a little more chicken less onions, but other than that was a great place to eat at very tasty.
UPDATE! So my first review was 6 years ago. I've since moved to the East Coast and this is a set place I go to when I come back to visit. Today was green curry with tofu, banh bao, and iced tea. Great flavors, excellent ingredients, and awesome people that work there. Cute new place. You definitely tell that they worked to make it inviting. The food is great. I love the yellow curry. Their Pad Thai is fantastic. One of my go-tos. Especially in an area that doesn't have a lot of diversity in cuisine
Delicious! Had the Mongolian Beef, Lamb with ground chicken and Pad Kra Prao with pork. Forgot to take any pics it was too good. Will come back and try more items.
The food came out quickly, it tasted so Good! Best Thai food in the area no doubt. Good price too. It has a clean appearance with modern design.
These homies never miss. Their drunken noodles are the bomb!! Service is always great and the food is slammin, do something good for yourself and go get you some drunken noodles and mango sticky rice 🔥🔥
We couldn't help but over-order; everything looked so good. And it was! We ordered the pork potstickers, crab puffs, beef skewers meal, yellow curry, red curry, and pad thai. The appetizers were so flavourful they didn't even need their sauces, but those were excellent, too. Everything was above par. We'll definitely come here again.
Everything I have tried here has been great. The spicy fried rice had the best flavor. The red curry is wonderful. The wings are well seasoned, and a good sized. The consistency is perfect. I will return!
I ordered Chicken Pad Thai to go for $12. As I was driving home from church, I saw “Thai” food. I decided to give it a try as I love trying out local restaurants :) I was happily satisfied and quite pleased. There were a lot of noodles, they were cooked evenly and had enough sauce, and the chicken was not dry. The only bummer was the lack of fresh greens (onions) etc. but I do understand I ordered about 15 minutes before closing so maybe they were out? I added some lime juice when I got home, but overall pretty good!!
Best pad thai noodles ever! I substituted the chicken for tofu and it was really delicious!! I asked for spice level 4 and it was perfect, not too spicy :) It was really flavorful and the portions are large enough for 2-3 people. The mango sticky rice also was super tasty and shareable size, it was ripe and sweet. The milk thai tea was good too, however the thai milk tea was too sweet and had too much syrup in it. I would get it again but with very little sweetener. Overall I would come again. :)
Sorry everyone, this is going to be a little long. I have been to this restaurant around 3 times. I believe if I am not mistaken, the first time was with different owners (when I first moved to the area). The next time I came a few months later, I found out that it was taken over by a new owners (a family I believe). The son waited on me at the counter and he was awesome - answering all my questions and being very patient. I stayed and ate the food which was very delicious (a type of Noodle dish which he allowed me to sub out for glass noodles). He checked on me to make sure I was good. I asked him about a photo on the wall of pho' and he said they would be serving that very soon. Sure enough I come back a month or two later and they had the pho' menu and had been serving it for awhile. I ordered the seafood pho' which was absolutely delicious, colorful and full of food (protein, veggies and noodles - not just broth). Once again I ate at the restaurant and was treated so well with condiments and different utensils to make my experience perfect. As usual he checked up on me to make sure I was having a good experience. To top it all off since I had never had a Thai tea he gave me one to try. It was delicious (even though I was absolutely full). When I left there was a couple outside and I asked if they had been there before (I thought I was going to advertise for the restaurant) and it turned out they go all the time! So their good food and customer service obviously precedes their reputation! Can't say enough about my new favorite "neighborhood" restaurant!!! 🤩
I've been here once before years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the food with my family. My sister said let's do it! And so we did. The Pad Thai with salmon was a bomb, the crispy spring rolls were delish! With my sweet tooth I enjoyed 🥭 Mango Sticky Rice! Sooo yummy!! My mom enjoyed her Egg Drop Soup which comes with small veggies!! (We dug into the food first forgetting to take pics antil we were already chowing down!)
This a little hole in the wall restaurant that can be over looked. I heard good things and wanted to try for myself. The food was absolutely delicious every single item. What amazed me was the food stayed hot the whole time we ate. I didn’t like that they pack all their food as if to go. It would of been nice to have ate out if dishes and the portions of the entrees were a bit small- again packed in to go containers. But the food and service was really good which reason for the 5 stars.
I’ve been searching for the best Thai for drunken noodles and this place did it best, the chicken was tender (not overdone) and seasoned just right and had a good mix of veggies. It was a good portion and price. I recommend you try it if you never have had drunken noodles, I think its better than Pad Thai chicken.
Food is delicious here but I’d do take-out next time.
On the NextDoor app, someone posted that there was a new Thai restaurant on Broadway in Lemon Grove (aptly named, Lemon Grove Thai Food) and we decided to try it out. TL;DR: We'll be back! We placed a phone order, which I picked up on the way home from work; they had it piping hot and ready when I got there, and they accept credit cards, which is a plus. We try to eat lower-carb when we can, and they allowed us to sub steamed veggies for the rice (but then they threw in some rice, too: extra points!) without any upcharge. The prices were super affordable: $30 including tax for 3 entrees, and the food was flavorsome and good. We had the green curry, thai basil stir-fry, and kung pao beef, all at a level 3 spiciness which was a perfect spice level. The portions were spot-on, although I do wish they would have a menu published on their website; I had to venture into the dark web (Yelp) to find a photo of their menu so we could order by phone.
Best Tom Kha Soup I’ve ever had before!!! I tried 3 other Thai places hoping it would be good and it did not even come close to this Soup!! It’s incredible!! Spice level 3 is good enough and the little mushrooms they use that others don’t is so so good!!!
Went to this Thai restaurant because it had high reviews on Yelp. Had egg drop soup. It was so good! Just the perfect blend of spices and veggies. My lunch party ordered the mango sticky rice with coconut dip as a dessert. How in the world do they make that stuff?! It was delicious!
Very excited to have this delicious place so close to Spring Valley, Pad Thai as well balanced with spice, sweetness, and savory flavors. Great service, will definitely be added to the regular lunch rotation!

Absolutely AMAZING Mango Sticky Rice! 🤩 The flavors were out of this world—sweet, creamy, and perfectly balanced! I’m already counting down the days until I can come back and try the rest of their menu!
The chicken pad thai was delicious. Food was made to order and ready in 5 minutes. Super friendly staff, will definitely be coming again.
Got pad Thai beef noodles and fried rice, both were very good, it’s hard getting authentic good Thai food in this area and this was very good, would definitely recommend to try it.
Don’t judge a book by its cover, this is a hidden gem! The plaza and interior might not be the most appealing atmosphere, but the food is so good! The Panang Curry was our personal favorite. And this is coming from my wife and I who have traveled and eaten our way through Thailand. So pumped to have a great Thai restaurant here in Lemon Grove!

Very good Yellow Curry, but please, add more green vegetables to the mix. It already comes with rice so a little less potato and a bit more green veggies like snap peas, green beans, or Broccoli would be nice. This criticism is constructive and I will be back.
I ordered using their online system, which is already a huge plus for me! Also, because I spent more than $40, they included a free order of veggie egg rolls. I purchased the fresh spring rolls, papaya salad, panang curry, and drunken fried rice. The in-person service was also extremely friendly! Every item had really great flavor and was an appropriate portion for the prices. The papaya salad was the best surprise and had full sized shrimp (as opposed to the little dried ones I usually expect). My one complaint would be that I ordered the curry and rice at higher spice levels (5 and 7, respectively) and got exactly zero spice. This being the closest Thai food for me in Lemon Grove, I'll be back often and I'm super glad that it is as tasty as it is!
Everything was tasty. The drunken noodles were on the sweater side for our taste. We got spicy level 6 and it didn't even have a kick. My favorite meal was #43 Pad Kra Prao. Overall good food!

Meh. I mean it was alright... I was just expecting more since I payed $11. It was a kabob meal and it came with 2 scoops of rice and 4 very thin kabobs(as seen in the photo). The flavor was like nothing crazy, it was just like decent. But if I had to pay for the meal, I wouldnt pay more than 7.50. This just wasnt worth the price in my opinion. Note: this is the only time I have been here, and I only tried this dish! I'm probably missing out on other dishes available there.
First time at this location. I ordered drunken noodles with extra garlic and cream cheese wantons. Didn't receive any napkins. Extra garlic Nor sweet and sourselves that I asked for II did reach out to the company. I share with the cashier over the phone she needs to do better when it comes to customer service.
I ordered the pad Thai noodles, green curry, massaman curry, and veggie egg rolls for a little under $50. I drove 20 minutes to the restaurant and when I got home realized they missed my white rice. The flavor was ok, but the curry seemed extra watery and barely had any chicken. The Massaman curry was mostly potatoes. The pad Thai noodles tasted burnt and greasy. The eggs rolls had an odd flavor like burnt cabbage. Will not be going again.
While the food is tasty here, there is much room for improvement. The spring rolls were full of crunchy veggies and a few pieces of shrimp, but the accompanying peanut sauce was too thick and lacking in flavor. Mixing it with seasoned rice vinegar and chili sauce helped to spice it up though. The hot basil stir fry with chicken presented problems. When it was delivered to the table it did not contain any green beans and when this was pointed out to the staff, the nice lady seemed confused so I had to show her where they are listed in the ingredients on the menu and explain they are typically found in the dish. She then spoke to the cook/chef who advised hot basil stir fry doesn't contain green beans! They graciously made another batch correctly for me to take home and enjoy later. The place caters more to takeout and serves everything in to-go containers, even if ordered to consume on the premises. Additionally they don't offer any lunch specials with accompanying egg roll, salad and soup which are commonly found in other Thai establishments. Glad I tried it but will go elsewhere next time I have a craving for Thai food.
This is a cool little mom and pop Thai spot. The food here is good. Noodle are more on the sweet side but curry and soups are on point.

Recently ordered two Fried Rice for delivery, one of them was supposed to be Shrimp, I paid and extra $1.50 but received Chicken, the shrimp was set at a level two spicy, and the chicken was a 7 there was no difference in spice and tasted unseasoned all around. Unfortunately while eating the meal I noticed a small hair in the food as well.
Under new management. Not the same . Prior owners and food was great!! Not busy. Service was slow.Ordered the cashew chicken and the pineapple rice. Both dishes lacking the main ingredients. My cashew chicken lacked chicken and worst of all no cashews. Asked about this and a very small (thimble) was brought out. They were stale! Not sure if the cooks know how to cook their own menu items. The same can be said about the pineapple rice dish. No flavor - but alot of rice. If you pay by debit or credit card look for extra charge upto a dollar an item. Maybe sometime before we visit again.
I used to love this place. I went the other night get get me some spicy Thai food I was craving. I got drunken noodles and the only spice in the dish was BLACK PEPPER! I have never had Thai food where the spice is black pepper. The dish was so nasty that I had to throw it away. I used to eat here once a month but recently things have changed and don’t think I will be back.
I picked up the vegetarian Penang Curry, Pad See Ew, and egg rolls, basically all tofu. The veggies were cut way too large. The portions were a little bit on the small side. The egg roll sweet and sour was not good. Thought we'd try something closer but will never go there again. If you want good Thai food go to Thai taste 11 Bonita.
Absolutely horrible experience trying to get food for pickup here today. My fiance ordered a pad thai chicken, spicy number 4. I ordered pad thai chicken, spicy number 7. When we got home, both orders of pad thai were overcooked, and both tasted the same in terms of spice ⁹level - honestly what I would call an 8 or 9. I can tolerate the noodles being dried out from being overcooked, and we didn't even complain about that - just the fact that my fiance's meal was too spicy for her to eat, that was the problem I called back about. The guy at the counter and on the phone, I feel bad for him because he's nice enough and provided good service in terms of ordering and whatnot. When I told him the food was too spicy for my fiancé to eat, he told me they'd make it right and to come back in 15 minutes. But then a minute later, he called back, saying his boss had a problem with this - I think she was the one cooking the food probably. They tried to gaslight me about the spicy scale... I pushed back, because a 4 and a 7 should not taste identical. I can tell they just cooked it all at once and tried to pass it off as different spice levels. Obviously they just didn't want to replace it and make it right. But they gave in and I came back. The ladies cooking in the kitchen were leering at me from the service window... very uncomfortable. They hadn't asked me to bring the old noodles with me, but I did, and they wanted them back... I guess just to throw away? Honestly it seemed like a possible silver lining that I could have had an extra order that was okay for ME, but not OK for my fiance. But no, they want me to drive twice as much in order to get what my fiancé originally asked for... meanwhile my food is just getting cold. And it's overcooked already so microwaving it or pancooking it to reheat will just dry it out more than it already is.. Plus their peanut sauce cup is ridiculously small for the spring rolls. To put it simply, this place sucks now compared to when I used to eat here years back. I will literally never make the mistake of ordering from here again. Plenty of good Thai places around San Diego.
I've been coming to this place for the past 2 years and normally order Pad Thai chicken. This time I ordered Drunken noodles with heat level at 2. I was unable to consume as it was much more spicier than a 2. I took the noodles back only to have the owner lady argue with me saying I ordered a 7...I don't like spicy food and would never order a 7. So after being disrespectful to me, I agree to have another dish made. My order come out and I check it before leaving...there are barely any noodles in the drunken noodles...I turn around and point this out and the owner tells me"what do you expect for $10?" I then ask for my money back. I was cool calm and collected yet she calls me a derogatory name as I'm leaving. Never getting mine and my families business ever again....Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
There was maggots in the rice , I saw the lady pick her nose and she dint even bother washing her hands she just rolled her eyes at me when she saw me catching her. I told the worker lady and showed her my food, she got my food threw it in the garbage and told me n my kids to leave . And on top of that the worker also recorded a homeless lady randomly yelling and cussing at families walking by but never called the cops nor did she ever say a word to the homeless lady. I'm not coming back Ever!! I hope nobody experiences what I did. Just oddly to many things going on.
Beware of wrong dishes! I am disappointed. I was given the wrong dish. I ordered a Salmon Pangang Curry (which is additional charge) and got shrimp. By the time I got back home, it was too late to call the restaurant as they have closed. I ended up overpaying for a dish that’s incorrect.
