Hamro Chautari Restaurant & Culture House

On my first night in Lisboa, I found this lovely restaurant near my hotel. The service is excellent, the food is great, and the prices are reasonable and fair. My waitress was Kalpana who is gracious, polite and expert at her job. Highly recommended.

Definitely eat here! My boyfriend said it was the best Indian he’s ever had, and the chicken tikka masala was “amazing” despite the fact that we ate there at 1am. Open late, great food choices, Kalpana was an attentive server, and the quality was great. I ordered butter chicken that had rich flavor and delicious paratha (never had it with whole wheat dough, still nice) and the staff was sweet. I can only recommend this place and we will come back if we’re in the area again. 🙂

Very delicious naan bread, very fluffy. Although I hope you like spice, because even their non-spicy curry was pretty spicy, as someone who's not used to eating spicy food. The service was really good too.

Amazing service, great prices, great food! If you are looking somewhere for well-priced but high quality and quantity food with lots of selection, this is the place. The servers were so kind and helpful, and made sure everything was to your liking. Looks like a great set-up for music too!

A heartful blast from the past... been in Nepal 9 years ago and was so happy to taste their fantastic food again here ! Splendid atmosphere, amazing tasting food and elegant service with a smile from beautiful Kalpana. Will definitely come again when in Lisbon. Namaste !

The food was very delicious and the service I got from the waiter Kolpana was super amazing and with wide hand. The prices are very good too. Best value for the price. I will be back for sure!

Das Essen hier war sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Es schmeckte alles frisch zubereitet und war hervorragend gewürzt. Preis/Leistung ist sehr gut. Der Service war professionell und sehr freundlich. Ein schöner Kontrast zu den leider allzu üblichen Touristenfallen in Lissabon.

I recently visited this restaurant and had an outstanding experience, thanks to kalpana. She was incredibly professional, friendly, and provided exceptional service that made our visit truly special. She paid attention to every detail and ensured everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place, and a special thanks to kalpana for the wonderful service.

Kalpana is the best, great service and smile 😁 her energy is contagious and she was always super friendly giving us more Dahl and rice. The food was delicious and super tasty. I'll definitely como back again.

This is very nice Nepali restaurant. Liked the veg Thalia and mutton curry with Rice. Kalpana is great host. Very friendly and hospitable. Recommend this place.

I had dinner here twice now. The first time I came alone and it was very late but they welcomed me very nicely and I had a delicious meal. The second time we were 10 people and everything was very tasty. We had the Momos, tinka masala, thalis etc. and everything was delicious!

Food delicious (especially the tandoori chicken). Service was sweet (she was patient and helpful). Music amazing (both singers and musicians were incredible). Customers danced (so much joy on the floor). Ambience excellent & unforgettable!! A little gem of a place

Highly recommend this place the food was really authentic typical nepali food it was best I really enjoy it and the main part was the service the girl name kalpana she was so sweet kind and respectful always looking and caring for the customer.

The place is simple. Amazing food. Authentic. Dined thete 3 nights in a row. Live music which is very pleasant. The waitress, Kalpona is the most friendly ans and attentive. I highly recommand.

Como não somos acostumados com pimenta, para nós, estava bem picante, mas para quem está acostumado, provavelmente, achará tranquilo. Tudo muito saboroso, amamos tudo que experimentamos. Recomendo!

The food is very tasty, large portions for very reasonable prices! We couldn't eat everything, we took it with us. Traditional live music is played in the evening. The waitress girls were very attentive and pleasant in communication, special thanks to Kapana for the service at the highest level. We recommend it to all lovers of Nepali cuisine.

Манговый ласси отлично нейтрализовал остроту соусов. Отличное место, обязательно загляните.

Great value for the price - the portions were big and the food good. Our waitress (Kalpana) was very attentive and friendly. There was also live music when we were there!

Quaint little restaurant with delicious Indian fare. We had a spicy mutton dish and a shrimp sweet curry. Both with very nuanced flavors. Similar to Indian restaurants in new york city they are very heavy in their use of butter. If I had more time in the city I would come back to try the Nepalese fare.

Please update your working hours. Came to eat after a busy day at 9:30 on Sunday but it was closed.

The food wasn’t that delicious. The atmosphere wasn’t nice either, mostly drunk guys getting more drunk. The servers were nice but even they couldn’t make the atmosphere better.

Resumindo: o pessoal da cozinha e a atendente de mesa merecem um local de trabalho melhor onde não tenham homens bêbados os dizendo o que fazer. Um restaurante grande com apenas uma menina atendendo as mesas. Ela foi muito simpática e querida, enquanto os homens de uniforme estavam sentados atendeu todas as mesas sozinha. Notava-se que estava sobrecarregada. Nossa comida demorou bastante mas estava muito boa. Uma das comidas demorou mais e pedimos para cancelar. Um dos homens sentados mandou a menina nos dizer que ia demorar apenas 5 minutos. Acabou demorando mais de 30 minutos. Ficamos chateados e reclamamos na hora de ir embora, e então entrou um BÊBADO que quis reverter a situação e foi extremamente inconveniente. Na saída haviam mais homens bebendo do lado de fora que nos importunaram dizendo "hello" e fazendo assovios. Note se que estes homens estavam acompanhados do staff do restaurante, o que tornou o ambiente extremamente hostil onde bêbados assediam os clientes sob o silêncio dos donos e por isso nunca mais voltarei.
