I have been going to Corky’s for years and never been disappointed in food portions or service. My husband loves the free rolls with honey. Last visit tried bbq chicken wrap with second baked potato salad… so good! Recently moved to a town with limited food restaurants…it’s always good to come back to LR with so many good food choices!
I recently visited Corky’s for the first time in a while. I ordered the lunch special which included 6 wings and a side of fries, while my wife had the pulled pork sandwich with a side of potato salad. The service was excellent - we were seated promptly and the wait staff were efficient in taking our orders and serving our food. The meals were served hot and fresh, and my wing meal included three drumsticks and three flats. Overall, it's a great spot for lunch in West Little Rock.
Sure, it’s a barbecue franchise located throughout the south, but Corky’s here has tons going for it. #1, the wood smoke smell when you first step inside instantly makes your mouth water. #2, maybe the most affordable happy hour in West LR. #3, and most important, consistency in providing great food! #4, good staff members who seem happy to be there and glad to see you come in to be their dining customer. #5, and my favorite reason. The owner of the WLR location and the NLR location, is a big man with a bigger heart. Joe Klein, a basketball great. He’s an Arkansas hero who gives so much back to our state and community. Check out the photos. We got a catering pack for Independence Day and it was awesome as usual. The Big Joe Burger is very good, along with the tamales, ribs and anything bbq’d. And affordable. Put this joint on repeat. (The drive through service is great as long as you are ordering for 8 people or less. In that case go order at the bar and enjoy a cold pint.)
Spacious restaurant and the smell is tantalizing. Menu has a LOT of options. My dad I and got the cheese dip, which was fantastic, and fried fish platters. I got the 2 piece with fried ocra instead of coleslaw. The fish was fresh and hot but didn't have much seasoning, hence the 4 stars. It was almost a 5. The rolls are epic, melt in your mouth.
Before Covid, Corky’s was our favorite place to eat, baby back ribs, corn on the cob, fried okra, all excellent!! Then, things began going downhill as it did with many restaurants. They no longer had baby back ribs, the quality of food has just not been consistent. We couldn’t even get a hamburger cooked consistently from one time to another. We even had a young manager argue with us on one visit to the Little Rock location that they had never served baby back ribs when we had eaten them there for years. We recently have tried Corky’s again once a week for three weeks now and the first two weeks it was great but yesterday, the quality of the ribs was just bad, greasy and gristly. It will probably be quite a while before we try Corky’s again and I’m really disappointed about that.
Husband and I decided to visit this location while passing through. I have visited Corky‘s in the past and it was always delicious. We decided to dine in. First things first, the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting! The women’s bathroom smelled like a urinal. Secondly, there were five occupied tables and our waitress had our table and one other. She was very attentive to the other table while we had to ask for refills, ask for our dishes to be removed, and ask for our check. She kept passing us and we literally had to stick our hand out to get her attention at those times. Now onto the food, everything was fresh! The fish was cooked to perfection. The smoked wings were very delicious. The baked beans were spicy. The macaroni and cheese was very bland but cheesy. Lastly, the cheese dip was amazing per usual. We would definitely visit again, but asked to not be sat in her section.
Decent place to eat. Fair prices for a BBQ establishment. We had to wait in a fairly empty restaurant to be seated and they seemed a bit understaffed. However, to be completely fair, we went on a Thursday evening at dinner time. The service was amazing once seated but food was adequate and nothing was really all that impressive. For starters, my wife ordered the fried pickles and they brought us a basket of rolls. The rolls, while a bit doughy and greasy, were actually quite tasty. The pickles were fine. Not my cup of tea but the family seemed to enjoy them. My wife's ribs were nice and tender but lacked any major smoky flavor. She seemed to enjoy them but was not impressed by her small sides and even less impressed with the quality of her mac n cheese. My meat sampler was stacked but, again, the meat itself was just adequate. I didn't really feel like I was eating at a 4.2 star rated BBQ joint as none of the BBQ was very smoky or flavorful. It was just kind of average, if that makes sense. I personally did not enjoy the brisket as it was VERY heavily pepper rubbed to the point I couldn't even taste the brisket. The pork was fine, again. More smoke, please. I do want to praise the sausage, though, as it was excellent. As for my sides, they were fine. The fried okra was nice and crunchy but the green beans had a metallic canned taste to them that I did not enjoy. My oldest ordered the baked potato which he said was fine, albeit a bit more cheesy than we normally get on BBQ baked taters. He had no issue gobbling up his leftovers so take that for what you will. My youngest ordered the turkey wrap but wasn't impressed by the vegetables. They were either heated with the wrap or left out at room temperature so she wasn't able to enjoy the wrap until the next day. Her fries were excellent. Very flavorful and crispy. All-in-all a reasonable experience. Had the meat lived up to the hype and the brisket actually tasted like something other than black pepper I would rate 4 stars. Unfortunately, based on this experience, Corky's falls just a bit short of that mark for me. I wouldn't spend $110 there again but I would definitely stop in again for a pork sandwich or some of those delicious sausages.
Stood at the “please wait to be seated sign” while a server was propped up on a stool having a conversation with a table We get seated. Our server was Bobby. The greeting was nice but that was it. We order our food. Ordered the 3 fingers with fries off the lunch menu for $10.99. Got charged the full price. He had putting in the order. The server that helped is a long time employee so not sure why it was rung in wrong. Food got delivered by a young lady who you could tell didn’t care. We never saw our server again. Ran out of drinks. No refills. No ranch for the chicken. He was on his phone. Guess he had more important things to do. We had to flag him down to pay. Never asked about refills or Togo drinks. A couple of people at the bar sat there while the servers just passed them by. They finally got served. If they had been busy I could’ve understood but they weren’t. Overall bad experience.
Ordered over $100 of bbq for pickup. They put 8oz of bbq sauce in the order but showed 2 pints on the ticket. Called to ask about it and to their credit they called back, but they were too busy to bring the sauce two miles. They offered free cheese sauce if I would drive back to get the sauce. I understand being busy, but this is your mistake, not mine. We have several people coming over and we have to set up. Maybe check your order before you send it out. 10/28/25
Our waiter was fantastic but the bartender was extremely rude and actually yelled at our table to be quiet. We were a large group and reserved a private room that could have been closed off if we were too loud. The food was pretty good but one of our guest did not get her meal until most everyone else had finished. Not recommended for groups.
I had never been to eat at one of these, but had picked up baked beans for a family get-together from the restaurant in North Little Rock and thought they were really good. So, we had a chance to eat at the location in Little Rock and figured it would be a good place. Personally, I've had BBQ from Virginia, NC, TX, Arkansas, etc., and I hate saying this but the BBQ at Corky's was probably the worst I've had. The pulled pork was not warm, and to me it tasted like something you could get out of a can from Walmart. The brisket was hard and tough. It actually didn't even look like beef. The beef had a very light coloring, almost like pork. The sides were OK, but nothing great. Maybe I got it on a bad night, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but I do know how to eat and BBQ is one of my favorites. This definitely was not up to par, in my opinion. I would not consider going back. Bummer.
My wife and I had decided to have Corey's sense it had been a long time. As we were walking through the entrance door we saw this very young homeless girl talking the the manager, Courtney or something like that was the manager's name. We heard the young girl tell her that she was "cold and very hungry" and that she has "not been able to eat anything all day". We could hear the stress, anxiety, and sadness in her voice. My wife almost started to cry, but when we heard the manager's response. It turned into pure rage. The manager informed this young girl that "under no circumstances would i or Corey's ever give any food to someone homeless". That is probably the worst thing i've heard all week. I had no idea that corkey's don't help the homeless at all. And Furthermore would hire somebody as heartless as that. Needless to say, my wife and I turned around and went McDonald's, and after what I heard it tasted way better than Corey's ever could after that experience. The only reason it got one star it because negative stars is not an option. My advice to you is use your money to support a different company. We should all be boycott corkie's
I had lunch with my family from NC inside the restaurant on yesterday. When we arrived around 11:30 am, the restaurant was not even half full. My dad ordered the beef brisket plate. When the brisket came out, it was sliced in long pieces of meat; however, upon arrival to our table, the brisket was cold. We requested that my dad received a fresh plate of brisket. The plate went back to the kitchen, & returned with the same slices of meat. We knew this because the same piece of the brisket was missing from the initial bite. After taken a bite of the brisket, it had a rubbery texture. I told the server that we received the same pieces of brisket, but they just reheated what was sent back & the texture was now rubbery. The server responded that the kitchen was jammed packed & they didn’t have time to prepare another plate of meat. I requested to speak with a manager. The manager came & took the plate & said she would bring back a fresh plate of meat. The brisket plate returned with the meat chopped up. We surmised that they just chopped up the same meat that was initially had been reheated… I ordered the Phillie cheesesteak after being told they did not have any ribs. As I prepared to take a bite, I found a long piece of blonde hair in the melted cheese of the cheesesteak. I am a Black American with natural black hair. It was not my hair that was found. I sent the entire Phillie Cheesesteak back & did not place an additional order. The manager told the server to take off the brisket plate, Phillie Cheesesteak, & to give us a 20% discount. After looking at my check, I saw the brisket plate was still listed on my check, and I mentioned it to the server. The server insisted that her computer screen showed the brisket plate was removed, so I asked why it still showed on my $68 check? She continued to claim it was not included in the final tab. By this time, I was ready to go, so I just paid the check, and I was disappointed that I would not be returning back to this restaurant that I had grown to love.
Absolutely disgusting the treatment from the pink haired "bar tender/waitress". She created such a hostile environment. I can't fathom that she's allowed to work front house with such a HORRIBLE attitude straight out the gate. Our server Bobby was amazing! My buffalo chicken wrap was DRY, zero flavor. The fries and ranch were good though. As a whole I would NOT recommend you come here.
We had a terrible experience at Corky’s BBQ. My company flew in from out of town and chose this place for dinner, and I was beyond embarrassed. Bobby, our server, did his absolute best, but a party of our size should have had at least two servers. He was completely in the weeds, and management clearly set him up to fail. What really ruined the night was the pink-haired waitress who acted like a bar wench rather than staff at a restaurant trying to host a professional dinner. She was shockingly rude, yelling at our party multiple times, even after we complained about her behavior. To make matters worse, we were promised a private room for our group, but Corky’s failed to accommodate that as well. What should have been a nice dinner to represent our city turned into an embarrassing disaster. Absolutely unacceptable.
I travel all over the world. When I'm stateside I like to try BBQ from different cities. Corky's BBQ is by far the worst BBQ I have tasted in my life. Even the sides were bad. Everything was completely flavorless including the BBQ sauce and hot sauce. The best thing served to me was the iced tea. The service was mediocre at best. I don't say these words lightly as I am a BBQ snob but this food was horrible....EVERYTHING! The food looks delicious but looks are deceiving 🤢🤮
Terrible service and even worse food. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich without cole slaw and it still had cole slaw on it. The sandwich was also cold. When I got home to reheat it there was only bbq sauce on the top and the rest was just dry meat. I called and spoke to the manager Nate to ask if it was a mistake and he rudely told me “it depends on who you get at the drive thru … there’s no standard to how they make the sandwiches. They also left my husband’s burger pink on the inside. They told me I could speak with the owner the next day but when I called continued to give me the run around. Eat anywhere but here.
