Hands down for the price best place to get steak. The only complaint I could possibly have is that they need a lot more seating. Otherwise love it.
The best service and food. Our server was excellent, very attentive and friendly her name is kassidy you should ask for her. I ask for the manager (Caitlynn) to mention the great service from Kassidy. That mean she is trainning well her employees. The food was hot, the rib eye steak was juicy, tender and delicious 😋.
First time there. We were made to feel welcome and were given a free appetizer. Very nice. The steaks were cooked well and were delicious. It was pretty crowded for a Wednesday at 5, but we only had to wait around 5 to 7 minutes. We will go again.
We went to Texas road house for the first time the other day and was pleasantly surprised! Our server, Rene, was awesome! He suggested different mixed drinks to my fiance that he ended up loving! I highly recommend asking for the "razzlesnake" Food was to die for, service was fast and attentive, as someone with autism it's a bit loud and overstimulating inside but the food definitely makes up for it!
Steak was so big, got to take some home. The rolls were warm and buttery and kept coming. Best part they're complimentary.
We love going to get a good steak, at a reasonable price. My favorite "go-to" is a steak, seasoned rice, and a side salad. And, we LOVE the rolls and cinnamon butter. YUM!!!
Such a great experience. The wifey and I enjoyed our date night that we rarely have an opportunity for. Good job everyone!
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Texas Roadhouse this past Saturday night! Even though it was super busy, the wait time was incredibly fast — way faster than I expected for a Saturday night crowd. I especially want to give a huge shoutout to our server, Jasmyn Rodriguez. She was outstanding from start to finish! Jasmyn was so friendly, attentive, and made us feel completely taken care of. She had such a positive attitude and was on top of everything — from refilling drinks to making sure our food was perfect. The combination of fast service, great food, and such an awesome server like Jasmyn truly made our night memorable. Thank you Texas Roadhouse and thank you Jasmyn for making our dining experience so enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back!
This Texas Roadhouse tops all, foods always fresh and tastes excellent, great atmosphere, clean restaurant but what tops it all is the service, I've been going to this and other Roadhouse for years but ive never been to any others restaurant that every server so far has been the best, at this location all servers are great, the best, and the best of the best is server Christian, he always remembers me and my 7 year old daughter, comes and says hello even if we have a different server, he goes above and beyond, thank you Texas Roadhouse and a special thank you to Mr. Christian.
We come here on average once a month, and as usual it is always consistently good. Steaks are always great. Service is always quick and polite.
First time visiting Texas Roadhouse. It was a wonderful evening!! The place looked nice, great atmosphere.OMG The food was delicious!!! Wowww ,The BEST steak I have ever eaten Ribeye steak and pork Ribs. The steak melted in my mouth the ribs fell off the bone 🥩🍧. Everything tasted soooooo good. The service was outstanding .The person that delivered the plates was very attentive and ask us to check if the steaks were good ( we asked for medium rare)it was so tender so juicy 🤤🤤💯❤️.Our server Gabrielle went above and beyond to make us feel welcome especially me. Since it was my Birthday 🎉 She organize a Birthday shout-out at the end with everyone in the restaurant and she even got me a 🍓 strawberry ice cream. She was awesome, Thank you Gabrielle you're the best !! 💯 Recomend this Restaurant
This is one of my favorite places to eat! The food is cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Melanie was our waitress and she was super attentive and has such a positive vibe about her!
I recently visited the #86 location. The service that my sister and I received from Simba has been one of the BEST services I have received at a restaurant. I hope he is our server next time when we go.
Great service from the start. Our server was very attentive and her suggestions helped with our orders. The grill master came out with our steaks and asked us to cut a piece to make sure it was cooked the way we asked. The food was delicious! It was my wife's birthday and they were all very nice and gave a big shout-out to my wife. Great experience highly recommended.
Server was Archie he was very attentive, cool and funny. Dude always had us even though it was a packed house. Checken fried sirloin was a masterpiece full of flavor.
We always love a big hearty Roadhouse dinner! There are so many great many options (and surprisingly affordable), and the service is always excellent. Our server went above and beyond, and we loved it so much we took them up on their gift card offer and took some signature sauce and rub home with us. Looking forward to many more great dinners with y’all!
100/100 experience, Texas Roadhouse really set the bar with the service and food quality! Came in on a Friday night had to wait only 30 minutes, which was expected since they are always busy! However we got sat within 20 minutes which was fine by me, this is a great place to celebrate birthday and events. Food was to die for absolutely delicious. Got the seasoned chicken and it was soft and juicy ! Will definitely be back again for the service and quality!
Everything was terrific. The service was great. The food came out in perfect time the rattlesnake bites is a very tasty appetizer and everything else was also delicious. Of course, the rolls went perfectly. We will definitely be back again.
Cedes was the bartender. Normally, I find a table because I don't drink. But, I do like to watch whatever sports they have on. Cedes was fantastic. I didn't get the name of the guy behind the bar, but today he was Luigi!! Great ambience, excellent service and happy staff. Plus, Cedes did a fantastic job with the gentleman sitting 2 seats away from me! He had hearing aids and it gets loud there. She did a fantastic job talking with him to make sure communication between them was good and his order was correct! Good job, Cedes!!!
This was my first time at this location. Everything went smooth from the check in to the dismissal. Staff super friendly and fast service. I was surprised that it was busy for a Tuesday night. I love when server know what they’re selling. Our server explained very well the difference between a sirloin and a ribeye. I’ll definitely I’ll be coming back to this location. Well done guys!
This has always been our favorite roadhouse location to go to, the wait truly depends on how many people you have but the majority of the time with 3 people the wait is between 5 and 15 minutes, 95% of the time we have had great service and food here with the worse being a meal that came out much later than the rest but the manager made things right with the bill thankfully which overall still happy to come back here again Lord willing.
If you wish to eat here and have a very enjoyable experience, make a reservation! I've never been disappointed with anything that has been ordered here. Today was just a lot of loud noises with school activities and it being football Sunday it felt like everything was competing with the music playing as well.
Service could a been just lil better but the food made up for it. Yes only saw waitress couple times and the wait for table was longer then fore told but I still give them 5 stars!! Food (STEAK) was PERFECT!!
We had a wonderful time, we come to this location often, and knew exactly where we wanted to go to celebrate my husband's birthday! Thanks to Madison for taking care of our big group. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Thank you sp much for being a part of our rare family get togethers! The food was delicious! 10/10 on presentation and taste. It was very busy for a Minday night, but everyone made us feel like it was just us at the restaurant. Runners, servers, bussers, and that nice kid calling out all the birthdays! Yeehaw !
The food was beyond excellent, the service was amazing and timing of wait for our dinner was on point due we didn't have a reservation, the place was clean ,fresh of great food being cooked ,we are going back this Wednesday to celebrate my friend birthday hope it will be just as wonderful as it was our first time, thank to the staff and manager where there's great managers there's great happy employees that what makes it all so pleasing.
Texas roadhouse is done right in Texas. I try to come here for any special occasion. The bread rolls are delicious and the meat is cooked to order 90% of the time. Meat might be a tad more cooked than asked if they're particularly swamped, but rarely an issue. Wait can get long so make sure to make a reservation, which you can do straight through Google maps. Service is always fantastic and the ambience is great.
The staff at this place were such nice and friendly people. I went there for my first time and had my steak turn out a bit salty, it needed a little more cooking the next time but they did it and it turned out great. I was not even thinking of asking them for any type of discount but they took the cost of my meal off. I would have still paid full price just for the service and kind attitudes alone to be honest. I have never had customer service this good and I hope that these people are all treated fantastic at their job!
We had a really bad experience about a month or so ago. Decided to come back tonight and it was absolutely AMAZING. Our waitress Jade was absolutely awesome! She reminded us why we love coming here. Thanks again Jade!!
Chaz gave my family THE BEST service & experience I think we’ve ever had as a group. Nobody has ever made our entire family laugh that hard!!! The food & service here is always great but our dinner tonight was seriously top notch. Definitely asking for Chaz next time!!!
Texas Roadhouse in San Antonio is hands down one of the best restaurants in the area. As a local San Antonio Realtor who meets clients all over the city, I pay attention to places that consistently deliver a great experience, and this location never disappoints. Manager Kameron is a true professional. The way he respects his employees and customers shows, and it creates an environment that makes people want to come back. The food is always prepared perfectly, hot, fresh, and consistent. Our server, Brandon M., was outstanding — personable, attentive, and professional. Kevin was also excellent and helped make the experience seamless. If you’re in San Antonio and want great steaks, great service, and great leadership, this Texas Roadhouse is a must-visit.
Staff is amazing! We love making reservations through the phone it’s super worth it quick and easy to get on the list. You can wait comfortably in the car and it notifies you once your table has become available. We don’t live far so we make a reservation and head there before the wait time! Hope this helps!
Amazing food and service! My family and I went there to celebrate my birthday. The Cactus Blossom Appetizer and the Rolls were a absolutely yummy. Each entree was delicious- so much food- we needed to bring the leftovers home with us 😋 😋
They give you sweet bread and butter before your meal and it’s so sweet it tastes like cake. Also the portions are great for what you pay for. Went with my fiance and we both ate good for only $30.
The corn was well-cooked and flavorful as well as the green beans which were moist and juicy. The steak was cooked to perfection and an absolute delight to eat. Service was outstanding even though the place was full of diners the wait staff constantly refill drinks and asked if any assistance could be given. The parking lot was absolutely full and after eating at this location it all makes sense because it's so good even though it's a franchise restaurant.
Never had a bad experience at Texas Roadhouse. The food is delicious, steaks cooked perfectly, their fries are awesome! And the rolls must be baked in heaven!! Great, friendly, service with good food made for an excellent dining experience! My husband had Ribeye medium and fries and chili I had Ribeye medium rare, veggies and caesar salad. Our daughter had NY Strip medium, mashed potatoes and salad. Everything was absolutely delicious
Our server Caitlin was awesome! We had an office group of 10. She took care of everyone, multitasking, patient good sense of humor. She set a wonderful tone. My prelunch drink…a frozen sangria margarita. Luscious! Our in house warm roll with cinnamon butter delicious. My meal, 8 oz sirloin with shrimp and loaded sweet potato. Medium rare sirloin was like butter! Excellent! Shrimp was perfect with the butter. Fresh house salad was nicely done . Yum. Go when they open at 11 am on Sunday. We left about 1pm and it was standing room only all the way outside. Lunch was perfect!🤩
Tonight at Texas Roadhouse was truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had, all thanks to our incredible waiter, Sunday. From the moment we sat down, Sunday greeted us with the warmest smile and an energy that instantly set the tone for a great evening. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect — from recommending the most flavorful dishes to keeping our drinks filled and making us laugh the whole time. The food was amazing, but it was Sunday’s kindness, attentiveness, and genuine personality that made the night unforgettable. It felt less like a dinner out and more like being taken care of by an old friend. Texas Roadhouse is lucky to have someone like him — he turned an ordinary meal into an exceptional experience.
Everything was perfect! No wait for a table, even though it was pretty packed. The waiter was awesome! He was very polite, informative, & checked on us often. The food came in a great time, it was delicious & hot! This is a go to spot for us because we appreciate the great food and customer service here so much.
The food was amazing, and our server was awesome. Her name was Riley, and she was really sweet, respectful, and ready to serve us. I came there an hour before closing, and the food was still amazing, and the staff were also good and considerate us eating while closing down. I will be dining in again.
We came to Texas Roadhouse last night, and even though it was super busy, we were honestly blown away by how fast everything was! Our server was so kind and on top of everything, and the food? Chef’s kiss! Everything came out hot, fresh, and totally delicious. From start to finish, it was just one of those meals where you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. Great vibes, great service, and amazing food—can’t ask for more!
I recently dined at Texas Roadhouse in Live Oak and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The ribeye steak was exceptionally flavorful and juicy, cooked to perfection with a rich, savory taste that perfectly complemented the the warm, sweet bread rolls served fresh from the oven; they were a delightful addition that paired beautifully with the steak. The combination of high-quality food and a fun, welcoming atmosphere makes Texas Roadhouse a standout choice for anyone seeking a great night out.
So this is me re-review first time was horrible this time was excellent…food was on point …our server her name was Desirae please make sure she gets recognized cause she made our night she was super energetic happy and she was hella cool. Our food came out perfect with no attitude this time lol thank you Texas Roadhouse for making this a is it memorable time!!’
Quite some time ago, dined at Texas Roadhouse with my late wife. Questioned where I should go to eat a good steak today. I wasn't disappointed. Tender, juicey & medium grilled. Greeted at.booth by Kourtney, who asked whether I wanted some peanuts. A trademark of restaurant. No longer are peanuts served in big buckets on the table but in bags with their logo. Eliminates mess and cleanup after by staff. All the food ordered was so good that I will probably return to eat at least two or four times a month. Meal started with delicious dinner rolls & honey butter. Added two sides to my meal of 6 oz steak & shrimp: Baked potato & their house salad. It's a completely tasty, fantastic meal. With taxes, the bill was right at $25. Waitress was friendly & efficient.
Excellent service, food and always a clean place despite of being almost at Full Capacity every time we go.

First of all the wait wasn't that long 15-20 minutes which surprised us. Service was great and very cordial. I had salmon, sweet potato, and mixed vegetables, and my wife half rack of ribs, baked…
The food was delicious as always for Texas Roadhouse. As always, I recommend joining the waitlist online prior to arriving—we didn’t have to wait for a table upon arrival because of using the online waitlist. The service was a bit subpar/slower than we are used to from other locations we have visited. The bathroom was also very dirty and the floors of the restaurant were a bit messy as well.
Order the ranger meals to go got one steak medium well and one rare and the third one medium rare. Unfortunately the medium well wasn't even medium well looked more like a medium rare disappointed that my order was not correct.
Texas Roadhouse on hwy 281. Very busy restaurant. However, using app helps somewhat, still a long wait. Food was nice and hot. Could use a different system for ordering drinks from bar while you wait for your table. Need to get rid of pickup section it was wasted place not being used. Pickup Orders could be kept in the kitchen. People could be sitting in that space.
Food was fantastic but the wait was not. Customers were crowded at the front and out the door shoulder to shoulder. Maybe expand to accommodate the demand?
We haven't been here in a while. I'm glad to say that our service was good. Of course they were busy but we were taken good care of. My dinner was missing an item, and was quickly replaced. Our food was cooked properly and seasoned well. We felt our bill was appropriate for our food. Had a good time and a good meal. What else could you ask for?
Our visit to Texas Roadhouse was a mixed experience. While the appetizers and rolls were excellent and lived up to their reputation, the steak preparation was disappointing. I requested a well-done steak but received it medium-well. The ambiance was another issue: the fan above our table was on too high, making it uncomfortably cold, though the staff did adjust it when we asked. Cleanliness was another concern—some silverware was dirty, and one of the cups had an unpleasant smell. Overall, the food had some highlights, but the experience fell short of the high praise we had heard about the restaurant.
I hate that my visit didn't start off well. For the first time in my life I couldn't be seated until my party of just two was present. This policy is one I've only seen used for larger parties so it doesn't affect the restaurants seating. I had to stand by the door waiting for the other person to arrive because the inside waiting area was blocked off. We inquired if this was a Covid policy and it wasn't. I'd definitely recommended reconsidering this policy. However, our server was amazing. We ordered the cactus blossom, bone-in ribeye and the porterhouse t-bone. The food was pretty good and the bartender made great drinks!
Look at wait time which was 1 to 1.5 hr wait so we were able to get on the wait list while driving back from San Marcos. Once at the restaurant we waited about 10 mins before we were seated. Our waiter was very nice and always had a smile. Some of the side foods were a little cold but due the busy night it was we were ok with it or just very hungry. The bread was freshly baked and hot. Will go back there to eat again.
We visited the place last night at 8:00 PM. The hostess who greeted us told us we would have to wait 20-30 minutes and that she would send a text message; she took our name and number. Okay, perfect! We noticed that customers who had arrived after us were being seated. After 25-30 minutes, we went inside and inquired about the wait. We never received the text message. The young woman allowed us to come in and wait. More customers kept arriving, and they were being seated. And us? Still waiting. After another 20 minutes, the receipt with our name came out, and the employees who were seating customers started looking at the name and, among themselves, it was like they were "drawing straws" to see who would serve us, if you can call it that. In short, a one-hour wait. The one who saved the day with excellent service was Simba, the waiter. This gentleman served us wonderfully. We understand the rush, we understand that it's always busy. But I recommend a little more organization at the entrance, confirming the name and phone number; but above all, a smile, a simple apology. Something like, "Excuse the delay, can you wait xx-xx minutes? Let me confirm your name and number."
Partially my fault, I accepted the " last" order of prime rib. It was a very poor cut and I could only cut or eat about half. It really should not have been served. The servers are fantastic, especially for a super busy Saturday evening! I recommend using the call ahead wait list!
The food was very good they brought our stakes done they way we wanted them. The bread and butter were amazing and a great way to start your meal. It was really busy but they attended you well and the manager came up to make sure everything was good. They were friendly and the atmosphere was okay.
We arrived on a Tuesday around four something it was pretty busy, but they got us seated real quick and they also got our food to us real quick. Food was good. The rolls were AMAZING of course. The waitress was very nice, She had great customer service skills. There was a slight discrepancy with our bill, but she got that taken care of real quick. We appreciate the fast responses & great customer service on our visit that we had.

music was way to loud, couldn't even hear my family speak. It was to hot in the restaurant, long wait to get our food. Steak had a lot of fat on it but tasted pretty good.

I like most is the rolls with cinnamon butter and shrimps. The steaks sirloin, somehow tasted weird. Chicken fried steaks was salty, perhaps less sodium next time. It is like chewy or like rubber. I had to leave left over to dispose rather than taking it home. The waitress could've been more helpful and a better genuine smiles for future reference. Perhaps she was tired and thinking she have to smile? Or didn't want to with us? Not sure Still thank you for your service.
Been a while since we've gone and food is not as good as I remember. Rolls were great but the pulled pork was disappointing. Also the burger buns felt like they were dipped in oil before plating. I love a juicy burger but the buns (especially on top) should not feel soggy the moment I get my plate.
So where do I begin. This has been a disappointing dinner, and Texas Roadhouse is usually good, but we waited 30 min, which is average for this location, and I left hungry, which is unusual. What I ordered: Country Fried Serloin with Loaded Baked Potato and a Caesar Salad. 1. This was the worst Country Fried Serloin/Steak I ever had. Not in terms of flavor or it was nasty. But in this town, when you order a Country Fried Steak, you get a slab of tenderized cube steak that is breaded and fried. I got a 1/3 of a Country Fried Steak that was not a cube steak. It looked like a different type of meat, probably a thin slice of actual Serloin Steak and was not tenderized. 2. The Loaded Baked Potato was good, but I guess they are cutting out the green onions now since I did not get any. The bacon on top was real fried bacon, which was nice. The cheese did not melt, so it told me the potato was not as hot as it should be. 3. Caesar Salad was not bad little dry but wasn't a deal breaker. 4. The best part was really the bread and butter. Kinda sad to say. Service: Our waitress Vanessa was wonderful she was prompt and sweet. So, I would say this is a downgrade from what Texas Roadhouse was. I have down ranked this on my list until someone tells me things are back to normal.
10/22 7pm. Miss Barb was our waitress. She was good. The atmosphere was good. Only problem we had was my daughter ordered the smothered chicken without mushrooms and it came with mushrooms. We let miss Barb know and she took the plate back. I made a certain cut into the chicken breast. All they did was scrape the mushrooms off and put on a new plate. My daughter did not eat it because it still tasted like mushrooms. We still paid and tipped Barb as she did give good service.
I guarantee that for the same amount of money you spend here you can get better service and ambiance elsewhere in the large city of San Antonio. The beef quality is good, and my steak was properly cooked and seasoned. My sides were pretty DECENT. The service is below par. Our waiter Elijah lacked spirit knowledge, but got our order right and read it back to us. When he greeted us and we returned the "how are you?" question, he said something like "well they got me to work" or something alike. His verbal interaction with us was a bit unprofessional but never disrespectful or rude. He was pleasant, just overly casual. He never asked if I wanted another drink until I asked him. I probably would have ordered another, but again... he never asked. And when he dropped of my second drink he did not clear my empty glass. It's the little things you know... I didn't like that the host make you stand in a spot that is labeled "on deck" awkwardly right before they sit you. I don't know maybe I just don't get the concept here. If I'm paying 50 bucks for a steak and a drink I want better service and no people shouting birthday nonsense. This place just feels gimmicky. To summarize.... see my opening statement.
Its a Okay place reason I say that is once you are seated and order your food it takes forever to come out no matter how busy it is. I ordered wings fries a steak and some fried pickles tell me why the wings came out first not even hot just room temp couldve got better wings at wingstop next my waiter not taking the time to make sure the order was done I could see my plate under the heat lamp for 20min and he finally brings it to me. Idk who management is but you need to re train ur employees cause waiting almost a hour for fries is unacceptable.
First experience with my family. So the waiting time was reasonable. When we got to seat, the table wasn’t cleaned enough but we sat anyway. Our server took our drinks orders, took a little while,my husband got his and I never got mine at the point where I just cancelled it. But our server was super nice and polite to apologize all the time because the bartender didn’t do her job. So the food was just okay not much. Super super loud!☹️
OMG I have so much to say! I had ordered a medium rare 16 oz ribeye, and when I got it, I couldn't bite into it without almost choking on the fat that was super hard to chew. The steak was so pink …

Not a good place for large groups over 10 people. Very very very long wait. We waited over an hour. Then left.
Normally I'd post about the amazing food... but I'm a little ticked off at the whole franchise. We asked if they offered military discount... sure... on Friday MORNING. That's just exactly when I w…
This restaurant is incredibly busy. If you like that sort of thing then it is probably a good choice for you. It was so busy when we left we had a hard time getting out the door. They also yell very loudly for birthdays.
Party of 3 adults. Visited this location for lunch. Busy as one would expect for a weekend visit. First observations were the unsightly, unclean interior waiting area which had the door open to the outside allowing flies to enter the dinning area (also had a foul oder in the ambience). We ordered steak, hamburger and smothered chicken. The steak was a little dry, the chicken good, the burger's bun was flat on flavor. The appetizer was very good and IMO the best part of the meal was the complimentary bread and butter. Service was good (a little slow, but is understood since it was a busy time to visit). This is my 2nd different location to visit and is not what I would expect from a chain restaurant. Worst part of the visit is the men's bathroom was unkept and the soap dispenser did not work (was not dispensing soap).
Food and Actual Server Service Great. However they keep it as cold as a meat locker in the seating area. By the time the food arrives we are shivering. The last time we ate there the food got ice box cold while we were eating. Today, once we started shivering, we just asked for our food to go, instead of bringing it to the table. Its makes no sense for these commercial businesses to waste energy, and harbor an uncomfortable environment. even if it is 3 phase electricity. Update: We have been back and the food is good and consistent. The temp is comfortable. However the tea is almost see through. Whats the deal with the weak tea.
To me, a coupon is to get the customer in the door. We had an email that we thought was buy a potato and they will load it for free. So we went and ordered. Turned out that for national potato Day, or whatever it was, we had to use a coupon code. Fine. But they would only cover 1 with 1 code. We thought it was every potato. So, rather than simply removing another $1.30, or maybe $2.60 from the bill to make customers happy, the woman manager stood over our food for way too long, looking at my phone, and doing whatever to say, they will not remove a second $1.30 from the bill. Very annoying. We shouldn't have even asked. I didn't realize that $1.30 was so important to the steak plate giant. And we did spend over $27 per plate. I guess that manager is keeping the profits in the pocket. But I'm not impressed at all. We have noticed lately, if the stake is under cooked, it takes forever to get it back from the grill, and all they say is "sorry" and avoid us. Times are changing
We made 3 orders of the Jr Chicken Tenders. On the website it showed decent sized tenders but what we got were very small overly cooked nuggets. Along with that, the fries were so fried they were not edible; too hard to even bite through. We arrived to pick up our food 5 min early and ended up waiting 15min past the original pick up time.
The food and the service are great. The volume of the music was the issue. Inside the restaurant, there were families with young children. We asked our server to ask if the music could please be turned down. She said that the manager said he was not turning the volume down. That’s the decibel level after we were told no. People, I’m just stating facts except for the first sentence and that is my personal opinion. This next sentence is my personal opinion too. Corporate or the owner of this restaurant maybe should look into this? I don’t think that I was the only person to think the music was way too loud.
We ordered medium well. They overcooked our steak. It was not just overcooked, it tasted weird and smelt weird too. It was mushy and melted in my mouth. I lost my appetite. They replaced our dishes but my friend’s steak was undercooked on one side. We just packed up our food and took them home since we lost our appetite.
Originally was told 30-45 minutes to be seated. I received the check in message saying 48-58. A couple minutes ok fine. After an hour wait my husband went to ask the status and she told him it woul…
Novel down below of a rough evening. A grueling 3 hour wait for Texas Roadhouse. Never going back. We checked in around 6:45 and reserved a spot (supposedly). Huge line of people, when we walked …
I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others. I visited this restaurant recently, and while the service was mediocre, the real issue came afterward: I ended up with a cold sore — something I've not had in a very long time. This suggests a serious lapse in hygiene. Whether it was contaminated utensils, poor food handling, or unclean surfaces, something clearly wasn't right. A restaurant should be the last place you leave with a virus. I’m so upset that the first time I visit roadhouse in a year that I’m left with this.
This is definitely the worst Texas roadhouse in San Antonio, 57 minutes for a two plate to go order. After all that time waiting, they still didn’t get the order right back. BOH manager at this location is definitely terrible at their job.
Let just start by saying our waiter was amazing 👏 🙌 The 1 star goes to the cook, back in the kitchen. We ordered 3 different steaks all to be medium well. We got back medium and rares! They took them back to finish cooking and got back 1 steak that was 3 in 1- rare, medium & well done. Mine came back well done, super dry with burnt mushrooms, not even steak sauce could save it. I decided to dig into the Mac n cheese & my son says your not going to like it since he ordered the same. It was cold with Velveeta and you could tell they added milk to it to make it creamy but it was more like clumpy 🤢 Needless to say the rolls were amazing & glad I had filled up on them before the actual food came.
Made call ahead seating arrangements and was still delayed more than 30 minutes. No explaination from staff. Finally got seated. Couldn't get staff attention because the music was so loud, so one in our party whistled to get someone to look our way. We then asked that the music be turned down. Manager had to ask twice what we were saying... she couldn't hear us over the music! The manager told us the music was as low as it could go and that they weren't allowed to turn it off. The manager then proceeded to tell the person that whistled to never whistle at her again. It was rude and she was offended by it! We got up and left. Won't be back to that one again.
We love Texas Roadhouse and we visit at least once a week, but yesterday our visit was the worst. We sat dawn and our waitress Jez took our drinks and food orders; the butter was not sweet as usual and our bread was dry, we had to request another basket when usually we get asked if we need some more. We had no silverware until we requested some. I ordered a side of fry pickles which were extremely salty so I only ate two pieces and put them on the side then I ordered a steak smothered with grilled jalapeños and I get two green jalapeños on the side. Usually the jalapeno come in slices grill together with the mushrooms and onions on top of the meat but at this point I was okay maybe she miss understood me so I let it go. Jez never came to check up on us nor ask if we were okay or if we needed a refill, I had to bother another waitress so we could get refills. But strangely she was checking on the other tables quite often. We waited a long time so she could come and bring us our check because she was nowhere to be seen, well you guess it she never came so again I had to go up to the hostess stand and had to ask if someone could bring us our check because we been waiting a while now. The lady that help said she was the manager and I told her what went on and how disappointed we were and her response was “let me see what’s going on” no I’m sorry or anything else but this is when Jez finally decided to show up with our ticket, then both left. Jez came to our table twice, once to take our order and another to drop our food and when she finally make her last stop it was to give me my card back and receipt which she seem clearly upset because she gave us a look left the card on the table and turned around and leave. What a waste of money and time!
The management at this place is a disaster. Thirty minutes turned into an hour and 20 minutes waiting for a table. What really takes the cake is that they were seating people they knew ahead of everyone else, right in front of me. They need new management.
One star because of the atrocious customer service during our wait time, good thing their food was worthy of being there. Hubby and I were eating dinner with his elderly out-of-town uncle and aunt. Hubby's uncle arrived at 6:15pm, got put on the "1hr wait list" and we sat around outside waiting for the call. At 1hr wait mark, checked on our wait status as we saw three or four groups head inside and get seated. We were told the 1hr wait was then a one and half hour wait....how can it increase!!? We patiently waited longer but were frustrated and annoyed to see a handful more of large parties (8 to10+ ppl) go inside and get seated after we arrived. The front door greeters tell us it's because ppl probably called ahead to get seated but makes no sense to us as by the TWO hour mark of waiting the ONE hour "call ahead" groups were getting in before us, over and over! Add to that the hostess and host upfront were unprofessionally hugging and hanging onto each other, laughing and joking and honestly, seemed like they had messed up on our groups name....like they pushed us further down the wait list and were trying to cover it up and really didn't care. By that two hour wait mark, we didn't want to risk leaving for another place just to wait again. We sat down to eat almost close to 9pm.
Bartender pocketed the order without entering into system. Kitchen delivered a smothered steak despite ordering no toppings. Kitchen asked if I would be ok with them scraping the mushrooms off instead of making the correct order. All management offered was 10% off. This place is a joke at every position. Tear it down and rebuild.
Zero stars. Waiter was never around. Food was cold and the steak was dry and flavorless. Absolutely worse location. Spent $80 for poor service and had to return some food because it was hard. Manger didn’t offered a discount or refund. Last time going there. Looked delicious but mostly fat and flavorless.
I recently visited the Texas Roadhouse in Live Oak, Texas, and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. We ordered a 6-ounce sirloin, cooked medium-well, with a sweet potato and a salad with ranch, as well as a chicken-fried steak with brown gravy, loaded mac and cheese, and French fries. Unfortunately, the food quality was not up to par. The mac and cheese had to be sent back multiple times because it was served cold each time. Additionally, the service was not ideal. Our waiter engaged in unnecessary and uncomfortable conversations, and there were some problematic comments that were concerning. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and we left feeling unwell. I was throwing up within 15 minutes of leaving the restaurant. Either the waiter put something in our food or the food was the horribly cooked that it game me food poisoning. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves both food quality and service in the future.
This place ruined my birthday. NEVER come here!!! The management is terrible, and we had to wait over an hour and a half. If you have a party over 6 ABSOLUTELY NEVER COME HERE. We waited that whole time, and they still made us sit at separate tables. Their solution you might ask? To sit there or wait even longer to sit at another set of separate tables that are slightly closer. Still separate. The food was also cold and terrible if that helps confirm your choice. Somehow the drinks were hot and the food was cold. The manager was extremely unhelpful and kept repeating the same things over and over. I didn't catch his name because we could hardly get a word in, but he had dark hair, a hat, and a beard. The only nice person here was our server, Ryan. Shoutout ryan. Still don't ever come here. Overall, this place is overpriced, terribly run, and not worth wasting hours of our lives. If it's your birthday or special moment, spend it elsewhere!!!!

Live Oak's Texas Roadhouse: Boots, Peanuts, and a Bit of Chaos
There’s a certain kind of energy you expect when you walk into a Texas Roadhouse, and the Live Oak location certainly delivers on that front. An hour isn't uncommon, but honestly, it’s just part of the Roadhouse ritual for many. Now, let's talk about the vibe. It’s...
