Esta noche, 19 de Julio del 2023, he ido a cenar, una tapa y una paella y… ¡QUE RICO! Me encanta probar paellas de cada lugar al que voy y un acierto total. Y además el lugar acogedor y los camareros muy simpáticos y atentos. Después de la cena, una copita. El precio genial, así que... Lo recomiendo al 100% :)

La verdad estaba todo increíble, la paella de mariscos y el pulpo a la gallega, inmejorables. La sangria de vino blanco muy buena también. El servicio de 10, Carlos súper atento y amable. Repetiremos seguro!

Excelente lugar para degustar una cocina y unos productos bien elaborados. La anfitriona te hace sentir, desde la llegada, como si fueras un allegado que hace un tiempo que no lo ves. Los platos degustados estuvieron en consonancia con el precio correcto. La plantilla agradable y servicial sin caer en el servilismo. Recomiendo hacer reserva dado que el local se llena enseguida.

Rice 🍚 or pasta 🍝? I could eat rice every day. I don't think I'd like to eat pasta every day. Well, I say that but, in real life, I almost never eat pasta... and I don't eat much rice either anymore. 🤷 It's funny cause, a few years ago, I was at my mom's and I started enumerating all the things that people eat on a daily basis and I basically never eat... The conclusion of that list was: "what do I eat then?!" 😅 Anyway, back to our dilemma... When I first arrived in Spain 🇪🇸, I was obsessed with paella 🥘. Then I discovered black rice: no more paella for me. Then I discovered fideuà (if you're not familiar with fideuà, it looks like paella, but with pasta): no more black rice for me. Then I discovered "arroz caldoso" (that's rice with some broth): no more fideuà for me... 😅 I cannot choose! 😱 Not only can't I say which one I prefer, but I can't choose when I'm at a restaurant... 😓 Unless I know the place! Cause every place has their specialty. For instance, at Restaurant León, in Llafranc, Palafrugell, fideuà clearly is what they excel in. 👍 It's abundant, both in pasta and toppings (shrimp 🦐, crawfish, cuttlefish, fish 🐟). It's very flavorful and the pasta is perfectly cooked with the right level of crunchiness on the top layer. 👏 Their worst default: they often forget the allioli, which is something that's often unfixable cause we usually order it to go. 😞 Btw, I always eat my fideuà with allioli: it changes the texture AND the flavor and I think it brings it to a whole other level. 🥳 Do you like allioli? My parents brought me to this family owned restaurant almost 50 years ago as a child, and have been at every visit to Llafranc over the years. As they move through their generations, I have also followed bringing my family. This is the best black rice that I have ever tried. A true gem.

Great service and food! We arrived around 9pm without a reservation and were seated within 5 minutes. The food was amazing — both the black fideuà (very generous portion) and the steak were excellent. If you’re looking for a traditional Spanish and Catalan restaurant in Llafranc, this is the spot!

We wandered in off the street to escape the busy waterfront, and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service, and tasty traditional menu selections. We were seated without a reservation, however we were early (around 8) and it did get busy.

Great local place, arroz was great, croquettes were yum, but the star of the show was the crema catalana, really stood out. Service incredibly friendly, nice chat with the boss. Felt welcome.

Absolutely the best mussels I have had in a few years. The red sauce was rich and flavorful. The whiskey cake dessert was a delightful surprise. The restaurant is local to a small town so service is polite but slow.

Superb!! Small family run restaurant, not on the seafront, with authentic Spanish menu, main speciality seafood, but alternatives are available. I'd advise to book / reserve in order to get a table, although you could just call in and hit lucky & get a spot? Highly recommended. A decent Irish coffee here, always helps with the walk back up the hill! 😊

The seafood was amazing. It was one of the best meals I have eaten ever. The restaurant was well air conditioned and the service was great. Our food arrived very quickly but is super fresh & it only took around fifteen minutes. I would definitely recommend the seafood especially the medium prawns, seafood platter and the small clams.

Pasamos una linda experiencia y, gran parte es por el buen servicio. Hicimos reserva para 2, y aunque así llegues sin ella, tratarán de acomodarte, creo por comodidad es mejor hacerlo. Pedimos unos entrantes, espárragos, pan con tomate, calamares andaluza, estuvieron bien. La sangría de casa, de vino, muy bien. La paella mixta y en especial musclos marinera muy rico. La terrina de whisky un peligro jejeje muy rica, si te preguntan si te gusta el whisky, ojo, porque eso es lo que vas a recibir. De manera especial mencionar el servicio de los camareros, muy amables, en particular el señor que sabe hablar varios idiomas que brinda calidez en su trato. La próxima temporada de verano, volveremos.

Buen sitio para comer a diario , dispone de varios menús de distintos precios , la comida está muy buena y tiene variedad , servicio rápido y amable , para aparcar igual la zona es complicada en época de verano , lo recomiendo

CRÍTICA GASTRONOMICA JOAN- Espectacular cazuela de arroz. Problemas en reserva. Vamos un sabado a comer despues de hacer el camino de ronda Llafranc-Calella de palafrugell. Desde 1959. Teniamos reserva a 13,45h y llaman 13,30h error suyo que no tenemos mesa dentro, que fuera hay 2 mesas, es febrero y hace frio y es calle estrecha sin sol y con viento, nos enfadamos. Al final vemos una mesa vacia con resto de comedor lleno, insistimos y nos da esta mesa dentro, aunque es la peor y nas estrecha del comedor, esto no se hace, si hay reserva no debo pagar su error yo. Fin de semana solo carta. Entremeses de pescado fabulosos, chipirones, berberechos, navajas y pescadito frito 6 gambas rojos de Palamós y ella xató,  delicioso, bacalao de primera. De segundo cazuela de arroz de pescado, brutal, al punto y con su color negro y sabor intenso.

Restaurante situado en la población de Llafranc. Ambiente acogedor familiar. Relación calidad- precio buena. Los arroces merecen la pena. Servicio amable.

Calidad precio está bien. Pedimos de primero unas vieiras que estaban ricas pero no estaban del todo bien aliñadas. El arroz negro estaba bastante rico, un pelín salado pero abundante y el pescado se deshacía de lo rico que estaba. De postre pedimos crema catalana y estaba muy rica también. El servicio muy atento.

We ordered black paella, for two person it's just possible to order one type of paella ,taste was good and there were quite a lot different sea foods inside of rice ,for being in this expensive place its a good option

The seafood Paella was nice, however there wasn’t a lot of fish and we just found it a bit too salty. The service was great though!

Recommended by the reception at our hotel as a family run restaurant frequented by local people. We shared a tortilla and some toasted bread with tomato and olive oil as starters, which was fine, followed by "pork steaks and accompaniment of the day". The pork proved to be slices of grilled meat accompanied by chips and some deep fried courgette slices, which we found disappointing. Service was good. Every table bar one was occupied by holiday makers rather than local people and we gained the impression that the food was designed for that clientele. We do not plan to return.

No aconsejo pedir sepia con guisantes, me he puesto malisima me ha fastidiado las vacaciones.. Y no pongo denuncia por no perder el tiempo, estaba mal el sofrito o la sepia y llevo tres días mala. El señor que nos sirvió fatal explico mal todos los platos. ...

Very disappointing. Premade, oily food closer to fast food than authentic cuisine. Fish soup like dishwater, octopus overboiled and tasteless, artichoke mushy. Rancid bread crumbs, plenty of flies landing on our food. Service unpleasant—utensils removed mid-meal with the comment that washing costs money. Wifi only after asking 3 times. Misleading high rating; tourists deserve better.

Very disrespectful staff … one older member laughed at me when I asked if a fish was caught locally — I’m not from Spain, nor the region. Additionally, the freshness of the fish is questionable, as I received two different answers from the staff members when inquiring. Lastly, when I requested which fish was fresh on the menu, the waiter immediately suggested the most expensive and second the second most expensive.
