Amazing place -- great service, kind workers and staff. Highly appreciate the cleanliness, professionality and overall feel of the hotel. Breakfast is 10 out of 10! Highly recommend.
Lovely hotel with easy walking distance to attractions and food. Close to subway lines. The rooms were very quiet and clean. The staff were amazing. We were able to store our luggage until a room was available for early check in. The street the hotel is located on is quaint and very quiet.
Well located on a side street. Clean and service was good. Buffet breakfast was nice too
I think this is under new ownership/management? I cannot imagine any other reason the score isn't higher. At the moment of our visit (February 2025), this place is great. Great value for the price, for this location. The rooms were clean, and I found the bed comfortable. The front desk staff were all very accommodating and put in a lot of effort to ensure we had a good stay. Didn't have the breakfast: way to many good breakfast spots in the area (like The Breakfast Club).
Great location, small but confortable rooms, nice staff and breakfast, good checkin and out service online, fast registrations and procedure. A hotel to try!
Great location.. Safe area. Near Liverpool Station. Smaller room. But it's clean and comfortable. Absolutely clean toilet. Compact.
Room without windows can feel claustrophobic. Location and service are great, you check in and out super easily.
Rooms are small but comfortable enoght for a short city stay, especially for business. It's smart and well appointed with the necessity
We had a great stay here. Great location near to Liverpool Street Station. Short stroll to Spitalfield markets, plenty of shops/food choices practically on the doorstep. Staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfy, great choice of tv channels, aircon in room so you can have it just how you like it. our bathroom was a bit small but was still more than adequate. Breakfast was lovely. Everything was fresh, simple items but enough to start the day well. The seating areas were comfortable and inviting and the garden area and terrace is a great addition. We enjoyed having our morning coffee and breakfast out there.
Always a great experience at Point A. Stayed in a few different ones in London and consistently good. Liverpool Street even has an outdoor garden/seating area. Lovely, helpful and smiley staff, clean and comfortable rooms, decent breakfast, good checkout times. Couldn’t ask for more for a budget hotel.
I had a wonderful stay here! The service was excellent, and every staff member I met was friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was quick and easy. The location was perfect — close to the train station, bus stops, great coffee shops, an M&S, and local attractions like the Tower of London. My room was modern, spotless, and ideal for a solo traveller. The Wi-Fi was fast, and the air conditioning was a real lifesaver. I also loved the hand and body products provided — such a lovely touch. I felt completely safe throughout my stay, and there was no significant noise to disturb me. I did not have breakfast, but based on the rest of my experience, I am sure it would have been just as enjoyable. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting London.
Very good for a short stay. Comfortable bed and clean premises. Quite small room but very good location. 5 min walk from underground, train and coaches station to Stansted. Quiet and safe neighbourhood. Discent breakfast and very friendly staff. No kettle in the room. Luggage storage had extra cost.
Good location with modern and really clean rooms. They are quite tiny but works well for short visits. They don't have shampoo and conditioner though so bring your own ( only 3in1) Breakfast was decent , but there wasn't nothing warm really it was more grab and go Breakfast
Our stay was short but sweet. We didn't spend time in the hotel as much, but the time we did we enyojed it. The staff was very polite. Breakfast was good also. The only thing I would change is to add more towels per person. One is not enough unfortunately. And if we come back we will definitely choose a room with a window :) we don't mind the possible noise, but its nicer to have a window.
I have a very nice experience in the hotel the hotel is very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly especially Irene. The hotel has a common area where you can sit they have a terrace and 24/7 available staff. They also have a coffee machine for residents and glasses of water
Close to bank underground station, being only a 20 minute walk. Rooms compact but clean and bed/ pillows very comfy. Quiet area and managed to get a good night’s sleep.
A brilliant little room for an overnight stay in London. I had a basement room but dont let that put you off, it was pleasant and very clean. Loved the lights and the TV too. One thing I'd say that was missing was maybe a little kettle and tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but I couldnt really fault it!
A nice place, very easy going and casual. Breakfast was continental only. The rooms are nice, don't be put off by their not having windows in the rooms - some are at basement level. Air-conditioning, touchpanel lighting controls, two sockets each side of the bed. Comfortable and quiet.
I had a really lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were absolutely amazing, I honestly haven’t met such wonderful, kind people in a long time. The location is great, and the patio along with the common areas are truly beautiful. The room was clean, but very small (double cozy room without window), so it might not be the most comfortable option for plus-size guests. That said, the bed was incredibly cozy… so cozy that getting up in the morning was a real challenge! 😄
I really liked staying at this hotel. People here are very nice, especially Irene, who was really kind to us the whole 5 days and offered to help us with everything. The room is quite small, but we knew it was so we had no problem with it. It also didn’t have a window, but we spent every day in the city so there was really no need for a window. The room was clean, it had ambient lights, everything was very modern. The location is amazing in Liverpool Street, a very beautiful city with railway and tube it’s also very clean and feels safe. Also great options for breakfast a lot of fresh fruit, yogurt and other. Would visit again!
A little disappointed with this hotel which is a shame I will point out that the staff was lovely though. The hotel in general was nice sempt clean couldn't fault the cleanliness the only things what let it down really is at night and the area was quite you could hear and and feel the underground not as bad luckily we was on the 3rd floor and I could still hear it i dont know if id have stayed if it was the basement the rooms are small I know it says box room but couldn't stay longer then what we did we stopped 3 days. It says tea and coffee facilities but unfortunately every time you want a drink you have to go to the lobby and pay £2.50 a coffee which i think with how much we've payed for the room should be complimentary the ibis down the road is cheaper and you have this there's no mini fridge so you can't even keep water or pop £13 for a continental breakfast it was ok for 1 day but it was the same produce everyday just didn't add to the worth having we found it cheaper and better to go elsewhere which is a shame. The flooring wasn't fitted in places and the decor skirting boards ect wasn't in place properly. When your paying the price you want a good standard. And a slight bug bare your check out time is 11 on the day of leaving my mother inlaw just popped to our room to see what was happening at 10 the next minute the cleaners was in the room moving things cleaning they shouldn't attempt to get in until check out was confirmed. You all so put do not disturb on the touch screen and this turns its self off the handle all so fell of the door. They all so wanted £3 per bag to store until check in or after eg if you had to wait till later for your transport worth noting this is including suit bags, dress bags which we was informed and as we was there for an event we had a couple of these bags plus luggage and shopping items soon adds up.
- From the outside, the hotel retained its old (original) appearance, while the interior was modern and technologically advanced. - The room size was larger than other hotels we stayed in in London. - The beds were clean and very comfortable. - The bathroom and toilet were clean. - Some hotel rooms get dusty due to carpets and curtains, but this one was completely dust-free. It was literally spotless. - The lighting in the room was dimmable and digitally adjustable. - The staff were young, hardworking, and friendly. - The breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but it wasn't necessary as it was quite sufficient. Everyone will surely find something to their liking. There were teas, coffee, fruits, eggs, croissants, cheese, bread, jam, butter, etc. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas. If you go during a time when the weather isn't cold, I recommend having breakfast in the garden. I was checking out of the hotel around 9-10 am. I asked if I could leave my luggage there for 3-4 hours if there was a waiting area available. I would understand if they said we didn't have enough space, but they offered me a fee. They quoted a certain price per day or hourly. This was a very unpleasant offer when leaving the hotel. The noise of aimless young people on the street at midnight on the weekend was disturbing. For first-time visitors to London, I would recommend areas near Hyde Park or Oxford Street.
This hotel boasts a fantastic location and incredibly friendly staff. Compared to other London hotels, it offers a more affordable price point, although it’s still considered pricey. While most rooms are small, they’re still manageable in size. The modern design and beautiful coffee garden are highlights. However, there’s noise from nearby trains, particularly at night.
Good for short stay in London..Small rooms but have everything you need, and hotel is extremely clean. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast.
Good offering in a great location. The rooms are very small, fine for one person but very tight for two. Ideal location next to the station and the city. Curtains don’t blackout fully and sun comes in early. Good onsite shared spaces for working. The £3 per bag storage fee is not the best impression on arrival. Other than that it was good value for the price.
Great location and the check in/out process really easy and smooth. The rooms are not first class but that is not what I would expect anyway for the price, still worth it, however the walls are quite thin so you can hear everything from outside. Despite all above we had a good sleep and I believe for the price it is worth to stay for 1-2 nights.
Great location, my room was on the ground floor and was quiet (I could hear a train/metro every so often but not too loud). The room was clean, bed was comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and good variety. Special shoutout to the yogurt pots! Lots of great food, drink and local walk/run options to unwind after a day's work.
It’s a great location and good breakfast and service. rooms are quite small, but are clean and offer everything you need. I would just recommend better toiletries.
This hotel was really nice. The Only small thing that bothered me was that our room didnt have windows.Everything else was nice. The Breakfast and the location are on top.You are only 5 minutes away from the station Liverpool street so you can easily go to all the famous spots. We stayed here in 03/24.
A nice hotel overall. Rooms are quite small but I was ok my own so it was ok. I recommend to take with you ear plugs because it is very loud outside, might be hard to sleep.
Decent hotel, rooms aren't that spacious(Was expected for the price that I paid). Really nicely located in London, it's around a 5 min walk to Liverpool Street Station.
This Hotel is perfect if all you need is a bed and shower for the night. Everything else is quite limited. The room was very small, with bed taking up 50%. There's no closet, but had a safe and TV which was nice. Also the walls are quite thin and due to small rooms, the door is right next to the bed and all sounds can be heard easily, so recommend earplugs. But it was still clean and tidy Travellers outside of UK definitely need to take an adapter. The room doesn't have USB-C ports for charging. You can buy one from the vending machine at the hotel though. Breakfast is also quite limited but sufficient for basic nutrients.
The Point A Hotel on Liverpool Street is in an amazing location—perfect for exploring London. It is within walking distance of Tower Bridge, Old Spitalfields Market, Horizon 22, and the Sky Garden. Best of all, Liverpool Street Station is just around the corner, making it an ideal base as this station connects to multiple train lines across London. I have stayed at this hotel twice, and while most of the staff are friendly, helpful, and respectful, there is unfortunately one staff member who has caused trouble on both visits. This has been the only downside to my experience when it comes to service. Another point to note is that some of the rooms are extremely small, which can make them feel claustrophobic, especially for longer stays or if you have a lot of luggage. On the positive side, the continental breakfast offers a good variety of options, which is quite impressive for a three-star hotel. Overall, the hotel offers great value and convenience, but I hope management addresses these issues so that every guest can fully enjoy their stay.
The rooms are equivalent to easyhotels but with no kettle, some of the rooms (my room) are like navigating the labyrinth to get there. No space to work, just sleep.
A basic hotel. Rooms are adequate. No kettle or cups. Very limited storage, to be fare no storage. Bathroom door is opaque so not ideal unless your close to whoever your sharing the room with. This is a good hotel for short stays, price and location.
Rooms are reeeaally small. Bathrooms also. Also dirtynes in shower was awful. Didnt like the breakfast, few options so it was quite boring to eat same bread just many mornings.
Negatives: The rooms light and climate controls are all digital and touch enabled without any physical buttons. I hope the accessible rooms have physical buttons at least. The fact that the hotel charges it's guests to keep luggage and for early check-in is poor form in my opinion. The fact the rooms only get serviced every 3 days is also poor form. While the room might not need to be cleaned and towels changed every day, it could at least be tidied up and bed made. No even a bottle of water is provided in the room. This room's layout had the bed blocking the whole back side of the room, where the mirror and the furniture is, making it unusable. The lock in my room also wasn't working. Unsafe and not appropriate. Check-in is only at 3PM. Unfortunately there was no decaf or alternative milk in the coffee machine. First world problems, I know, but they were problems for me none the less. Positives: The breakfast menu had vegan pastries (honestly don't see that very often anywhere). The location is central. The staff were friendly. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked well. The beds were comfortable.
Rooms are VERY small- not big enough for 2 people as cannot get to both sides of the bed, photos on the website are very generous. Would recommend for 1 person for business use but not for more than 1 person using for a social trip as also no drink making facilities in the room. Shower cubicle small and difficult to get out of as needing to pull door towards you and handle not big enough to grip- especially when wet. Staff friendly, and great location for Liverpool Street Station.
Rooms and property clean and modern however noise from outside left me very unrested. Rooms and glazing should be sound-proofed. Breakfast was nice quality but no cooked choices except boiled egg
NOT A 3 STAR HOTEL! This hotel is being sold as something it is not. For a 3S hotel, tea making facilities should be in each room - or available in the common area in reception. Not only no kettle [do i really have to buy a travel kettle for London?] but to try and charge £2.50 for a cup in your own hotel is a rip off. It's £2.40 round the corner in Sainsbury's. So no welcome cup of tea for this disabled traveller when I arrived. Then came the room. Disappointment is an understatement. The pics on this site are for the disabled room. That's why it looks so spacious. Next time I'll book that as I almost had a fall in the bathroom as the shower is too small. Actually, there won't be a next time. The rooms are tiny. I mean really, sell this as a pod hotel. As you can see from the photo, the shelves fold down from the wall. Think about that - 'fold down from the wall'. Never seen anything like it in my life and I'm an experienced hotel traveller. Then there's the hanging space i.e. your room decorations. Don't try and put any more than two things on the buttons as they just fall off. Why the hotel gives dozens of hangers is a mystery to me. Mine ended up on the floor. These are single person pods only. Two of you will be heading for couple's counselling after one night in this room. Bathroom is tiny. Two towels and a bathmat only. For location - great. If this is your first time to London and you don't care where you lay your head, maybe this will work for you. Personally, even then I'd feel a sinking feeling every time I had to go back to it. Confinement is a better term for your stay. Breakfast usually makes up for it but it is 'continental' i.e. an ok croissant, spam ham and hard cheese. Final word. No.
Positive: it was clean and well located Negative: I do not understand how you can book rooms with no windows. We had to pay 30 more pounds for the exact same room with windows which can’t be opened. The double rooms are too small for two people there’s no space for put your suitcases. Breakfast is limited (no bacon or scrambled eggs for example). We had to pay 3 pounds each to leave our luggage on check out day. That service is usually free in many countries and hotels. The mattress was too soft in the middle and the room was chilly. Overall we did not have a good stay and the personnel wasn’t particularly likeable.
poor value for the price and one of those places with zero human touch. i understand this can happen for hotel chains but this place had noticeably cold service. rooms were already tiny but the additional charges for everything that would be typical for a three star really takes the cake
Tiny room - you open the door and can jump in the bed. The sink in the bathroom was clogged. My room was without window, when i asked the reception about it it turned out that it was written in my booking reservation. Bad for me that was not paying attention to that unforseen detail. Felt trapped.
We stayed in the Point A Liverpool Street London location this weekend and we were extremely dissappointed with our stay. We had requested an early check in and were advised to ring back after 10.30 to remind them and see if the room was available. We rang 8 times and had no answer from anyone manning the phone. We were traveling since 3am that morning and due to no one answering the phone we could not check in until 3pm. When we got into our room we were in level -1. No windows or any light in the room. The space was fine but we were disgusted to find lots of stains on the headboard. Clearly not cleaned ever. I’m not sure why but the floor in the corridor of the level -1 floor was unsteady and like walking on a trampoline. The walls were so thin you could hear every and any noise in the hall. Including cleaners bashing up against doors and hoovering. We were so unhappy with our stay here.
Very bad experience, room is very small and too much congested compared to the picture shown, no windows and which was not highlighted in the advert.Totally suffocating and hypoxic when staying in side the room. Not enough for 2 adults at all.no soap ,nobrush,no comb, not toothpaste/brush not even a bottle of water . I was not able to sleep due to the low oxygen supply inside the room.Even though I requested for a room upgrade or room with window I was not given any other option or any kind of support.felt very much disappointed I had to pay additional £13 for the breakfast though I booked via booking.com.Breakfast option was not bad though. I would never recommend this to anyone .
My friend arrived with her 12-year-old son and, on the very first night, suffered a severe panic attack during the early hours of the morning. The room she was given was extremely small and claustrophobic, which contributed significantly to her distress. Not knowing it was a panic attack, she had to be taken to the Royal Hospital as she was struggling to breathe. Adding to her panic, she had to leave her son alone in the hotel room—an extremely stressful situation for any mother. Thankfully, some attention was given to the child during her absence, for which she is grateful. The next day, she asked to change rooms, even offering to pay for a larger one. She was told, that there were no other rooms available. However, that day, another friend arrived—traveling alone—and was given a much larger room. This inconsistency in your staff’s response is highly questionable and unacceptable. To make matters worse, on the third night at around midnight, the air conditioning unit in her room broke down. When she reported it to the reception, she was moved to an even smaller room than the first. Not only was she given no assistance with moving her luggage, but she was also asked to remain quiet while changing rooms—at midnight, in the middle of a frustrating situation. This level of customer service is absolutely shocking. Her total stay lasted six nights, and instead of enjoying her time in London, she was constantly under stress due to the poor handling of the situation by your staff and the lack of empathy shown throughout. They travelled from Venezuela! This was her very first time in London, and this experience has left a terrible impression— it’s important to warn others of the service she received to avoid similar experiences.
I wanted to let you know that the windowless rooms at this property are located in the basement (level -1). This was not mentioned in the app I used to book the stay. I asked to change rooms, but unfortunately, it was not possible.
My flights were cancelled due to the air traffic controller shortage in the U.S., causing me to have to cancel my vacation. I tried to cancel my reservation for a refund, but, due to their horrible policies, they wouldn't budge. Not even for a partial refund. The morale to this tale is get the traveler's insurance. If I ever do make it to London, I sure as hell won't stay there.
The hotel’s location was good, close to shops and restaurants. It was also clean, tidy, and felt very secure, as entry required a key card. In that sense, the hotel met expectations. However, the room was extremely small, with very limited space to store belongings or move around comfortably. The biggest issue was the noise. I had the worst night’s sleep, waking up every 30 minutes due to constant noise from both inside and outside the hotel. The walls are very thin, so you can hear people walking by clearly. There was also noise from the air conditioning, and because the hotel is on a busy road, traffic noise was constant. In the morning, a garbage truck added even more disturbance. While some noise is expected from the street, the windows and walls are so thin that everything comes through. Overall, it was the worst sleep I’ve ever had at a hotel. I was completely exhausted in the morning and couldn’t wait to go home just to get proper rest.
I stayed only one night and chose a windowless room to save money — big mistake. Rooms are on the -1 floor, the ground feels damp, and whenever someone walks in the hallway the walls literally shake. Soundproofing is nonexistent. Even a dorm would be more comfortable. They also charge extra for luggage storage, which I’ve never seen before. When I mentioned this, a rude lady on the morning shift basically said “do whatever you want, leave it at the train station.” Definitely not worth it. Would not stay again.
