Opinions de The Lampery London
The Lampery is a hidden gem near Tower bridge, perfect for a relaxed Sunday brunch. The stylish yet cozy setting is elevated by live, soothing music from a female singer every Sunday afternoon, adding a special touch to the atmosphere. The brunch menu offers a great mix of classics and creative options—everything was fresh and well-presented. Dessert was a real treat, beautifully plated and indulgent without being too heavy. Friendly service and a calm, elegant vibe make The Lampery a great spot for a leisurely weekend meal. We’ll definitely be back.
We had an amazing bottomless brunch at The Lampery - our food was delicious, the poached eggs perfectly cooked and the mimosas kept on coming. Service was excellent - Jakir was especially friendly. We thought the coffees were also great and it was a nice touch that they came with a shortbread biscuit. We also had desserts which were beautifully presented - the chocolate fondant is amazing. The venue is really pretty as well with an amazing ceiling of artificial flowers and good natural light. Definitely recommend if coming to the City.
Our stay here was amazing! Thanks to the great service from Giacomo, Nico, and Ariel for going above and beyond to give the best service ever! The drinks here are world class and the bartenders really know what they're doing especially Ariel! Try the cherry old fashioned and best Margaritas around! The food was great especially the Calamari! Will be back soon whenever I'm back in London!🇬🇧
I went for a Friday night dinner with family and the lampery was a nice surprise, lovely atmosphere and tasty food. Although it was under staffed and busy that day both Aakash and Latoya they were friendly, professional and attentive with the service. We had calamari for starters, burgers and desserts and we were all satisfied with the food. Definitely recommended!
Thanks to Nico & Michael for looking after me and my wife for her 30th birthday & valentines day. 1st class customer service from both of them. Really grateful 🙏🏻
This was a fantastic restaurant to dine in at, with a flashy vibe that includes leaves in the setting! I had the luxury of choosing any table since it was quiet and I had proper views of London, given a glass of sparkling water as a free starter. Menus were provided at the table and the staff were so welcoming; they also served me in due time for a city restaurant! Prawns in batter with Watercress was delicious with a refreshing glass of Ginger Beer, seating is luxurious and the toilets were kept clean.
The food was delicious with rich, satisfying flavors, and the service was friendly and attentive. Great quality for a very reasonable price—definitely worth a visit!
Really nice restaurant! The octopus was awesome and the cocktails were right on spot. Jakir was an awesome waiter at breakfast and we really enjoyed our time with him.
I had a fantastic experience at The Lampery! The food was absolutely excellent – fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and outstanding service! Highly recommended
We visited for breakfast and had a great experience. Staff were amazing and very accommodating!
The Lampery is such a gem in London! I went there for brunch and was genuinely impressed. The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy, with elegant décor and a calm vibe that makes you want to stay for hours. The food was fresh, colorful, and delicious everything was beautifully presented. I had fresh orange juice and coffee, and both were perfect. The staff were super kind and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a stylish spot to enjoy a relaxing brunch. Will definitely come back!
Hidden inside The Apex City of London Hotel, this restaurant feels like a quiet refuge from the busy streets outside. The dining room is elegant and softly lit, with a striking ceiling installation of copper leaves that catches the light and gives the whole space a warm, almost theatrical glow. It is the kind of room that invites you to settle in and take your time. The menu leans toward modern British cooking, with dishes that highlight seasonal ingredients and careful presentation. Plates arrive thoughtfully composed, the flavours balanced and refined without feeling overly complicated. While the setting feels polished, the atmosphere remains relaxed enough for an easy dinner rather than a formal occasion. It is the sort of place where the details quietly shape the experience. A calm table in the middle of the city, where the evening unfolds at a gentle pace.
Amazing location and superb food. I've been here already 4 times in the last two months. I'll be back soon for sure.
Finally a tastefully decorated hotel in this price range. My double room was ok, the bathroom stood out with size and style. Well done for the deaigner for the common areas. All in all it was way beyond that i’m used to at other London hotels.
Food and drinks were amazing! Had ribeye and was delicious! The team was super friendly and knowledgeable when asked for recommendations.
I had the opportunity to try their Sunday roast and it was delicious and very well paired with the wine. Highly recommend their croquettes too. On top of their amazing food, they offer great service as well, Monica, Erion and Giacomo were very attentive, making sure our glasses were always topped up. Definitely worth a visit!
Absolutely love The Lampery! We first discovered this gem while staying at the Apex City of London Hotel. We had breakfast there — a beautifully presented buffet with pastries, fruit, croissants, yogurt, and juices. For just £21, you get full access to the buffet and anything from the à la carte menu. I highly recommend the Full Monty English breakfast and the salmon toast with scrambled eggs , both were divine! We also came back for dinner and were equally impressed. The filet was cooked to perfection, and the beetroot risotto was delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional, the place is spotless and stylish, with an excellent selection of whisky, wine, and gin. Highly recommended I’ll definitely be back next time!
I came here with some friends for the Sunday Roast. We had a great lunch and an enjoyable time together thanks cosy atmosphere of the restaurant. The service was high level, particularly Erion Monica and Giacomo, all very keen and attentive to details. We’ll definitely come back. Highly recommended. P.S. the only note on the food (as an constructive critic to get better, in my opinion) was about the gravy sauce. Runny and watery instead of being thicker as a proper gravy. Overall, a great experience.
We had a Valentine’s Day dinner on our family trip to London. The food and service were excellent! They even had complimentary roses for the ladies. Great overall value. We will definitely be back.
I recently twice had lunch at The Lampery and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. Latoya and Mark our servers, were incredibly attentive and made sure that our food experience was nothing short of exceptional. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, with cozy lighting and stylish decor. Some exquisite cocktails that perfectly complemented our meal. What truly stood out was the professionalism and dedication of Giacomo, the manager. He ensured that every guest was well taken care of and went above and beyond to accommodate any special requests. His attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction truly made our evening memorable. Overall, I highly recommend The Lampery to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience. The combination of delicious food, exceptional service, and inviting ambiance makes it a standout choice in the area. I can't wait to return and indulge in more of their culinary delights.
Please only go when Kia is there. She makes amazing cocktails, I’m a big fan of a Pornstar martini, and wasn’t disappointed at all. please ask her to make the Lampery martini, that will make your day :)
The perfect atmosphere for date night and also corporate dining. The waiter Jakir was very friendly and helpful during the time. The bartender Hanxi made the perfect cocktail per our request. Top, Top experience!
I’ve been to The Lampery for the first time on Valentine’s Day. I performed as part of a guitar and voice duo. I hadn’t been to the place prior to the gig and was so positively surprised by it. A beautiful, relaxing restaurant, classy but still easy going. The food was really good, we had a mango and prawn salad and the octopus! As an Italian I enjoyed the fusion twist! Fairly priced for the quality, plating and atmosphere. The staff is great, very polite and smily! Would definitely recommend!
Great restaurant! The food was delicious (I had octopus and it was not chewy!!) and the service was perfect. I had added a note to my booking saying that it was my friend's birthday, and not only we had a pleasant surprise upon arrival, but also had a nice candle on an out-of-this-world lemon tart (I will dream about this tart for years to come...) on the house! Giacomo (the manager) was very friendly and lovely to speak with. We had a lovely time, we will defintely return!
Great brunch spot near Tower bridge,Delicious food, lovely desserts, and a relaxing vibe. Best part? Live music from a female singer every Sunday—such a nice touch. Highly recommend for a chill weekend meal.
I had the pleasure of trying their Sunday roast, and it was absolutely delicious, perfectly complemented by an excellent wine pairing. I also highly recommend their croquettes—they’re a must-try! Beyond the exceptional food, the service was outstanding. Monica, Erion, and Giacomo were incredibly attentive, ensuring our glasses were always full and our experience was seamless. This place is a gem and definitely worth a visit!
The Lampery, overall, was a disappointment. I ordered the rib-eye steak, but it was extremely sinewy and full of gristle. The chips, however, were quite good. The portion size of the slow-cooked lamb shoulder was also very disappointing. The standout dish was the Chicken Caesar salad. Extra points to the manager, Ludo, who listened to our complaints and made the experience more pleasant.
It’s a pretty comfortable restaurant with a nice atmosphere and lounge music. I’ve ordered a Caesar salad and burger and there’s a nuance with a Caesar salad, it was served with a fish in vinegar, which I overlooked when I was ordering. In addition I’ve asked for extra chicken to it. So in the general a taste of green leaves and fish was weird but healthy and I decided to leave it how it is. Meanwhile with a burger all was fine at least nobody complained. Clean toilets, free WiFi but no parking.
Been to quite a few restaurants dotted around and this was cute. Love the decor 🥰 and sitting arrangement. This evening I visited was not so busy. I attended a cake decorating session with a group of ladies and the hosts were good. It was a showcase. The Apex hotel was lovely to view as well, very clean and modern chic decor in their meeting room spaces, lounges, the lobby area and rooms. Located just a 5 minute walk from Tower Hill Tube station. There are several tourist attractions around this venue with the London castle just another 5 minute walk away from the restaurant. Super easy to locate 😊 The hosts were super friendly and helpful, had some nice banter and the nibbles were good too Enjoyed the cake decorating session with their pastry chef which was engaging. Overall it had a nice feel to it and it is ideal for board meetings, corporate sessions with smaller numbers and a standing reception👌🏽
The restaurant offers both à la carte and buffet options. The prices were quite reasonable! As for the food, it was decent but not particularly memorable.
Excellent food and service. Particularly impressed by the food presentation. I’d definitely recommend it!
Nice City location with friendly staff and pretty good food. Did the classics well.
The Fish and chips were bland, so disappointed as I had high expectations. Desserts were nice but soup was okay (it was quite salty for a lot of people who were with me as well). The interior is good with a great atmosphere, service was okay but took some time.
The Yorkshire Pudding’s were just warm as was the beef. Great roast potatoes okay vegetables. Asked for extra gravy which threw them saying they’ll have to speak to the kitchen. The smallest pot of gravy (for two?) arrived. No gravy boats/jugs I asked to a stare of confusion? However the staff were very nice. Just not a great Sunday Lunch experience!
Overall, the restaurant was ok. Low selection of beers on tap. The toast on the club sandwich was seared on a grill without any sort of oil, which left an odd metallic taste to the bread and distracted from the rest of the sandwich. It was a quiet spot to carry a conversation and talk business.
Didn't realize it was part of a hotel until we entered. The waiter talked us into getting the whole breakfast package which includes all the drinks and breakfast buffet. On reflection, it really wasn't worth the money and the English breakfast looked better than it tasted. Unless you stay at your hotel, avoid this place for breakfast.
The food was quite mediocre, with nothing particularly remarkable. I ordered the burger, but it was extremely dry, and the beef was rather bland. I had expected much better in terms of flavour. The drinks were decent, and the service was good, but for the price, I would have liked a more varied and richer menu.
Me and my Spouse came from America. We ate at this restaurant, where food was unseasoned/small portion, few variety of food options, and recieved horrible waiting time to be served food or drinks. I first order duck breast but the size of it was like a butter knife, very small. So I ordered a burger meal to receive a larger meal portion. The burger tasted dull with no flavor. We waited for 75 minutes to recieve our meal orders, which was shocking due to low capacity of people in restaurant. The only positive was receiving complimentary desserts.
