I was in California for a buisness trip. I wanted to compare The Original Roadhouse to our Texas Roadhouse that we have in Texas. The service and atmosphere were great. The food was good, but not 5 stars good. I gave it a 4 just based on my opinion of BBQ. I'm more of a spicy BBQ sauce and their sauce is too sweet for me. The Texas Eggrolls were awesome, though. I had the Pulled Pork, Sausage, and Chicked plate. Next time I'll all for no BBQ sauce so I can taste the BBQ meats and not just sauce.
Great filet mignon! I’m here shooting a birthday party and decided to try the bacon-wrapped filet mignon — it did not disappoint.
Have been coming here for a while and the service is always great! Last time we were there our server was an older lady (I'm terrible at remembering names) and she was just so Amazing!! She was kind, friendly and she was on top of everything! She had so much information to give that I learned quite a few that day! She was just too CUTE!!! We started with the Texas Eggrolls..and oh my that's a party in your mouth no doubt...Delicious is the word!! The food has always been great and Service this time was just exceptional. Looking forward to going again!
019.07-12/1300: Holy moly, did we have the best time ever! We arrived and already, we can see a large party was going on. They had tons of gifts everywhere and the place was hopping. We saw this and decided to stay because there was no server and a wonderful server, who saw us in the midst of the choas, acknowledged us and told us she would be with us shortly to seat us. She was running all over the place and still had a huge smile on her face and was super nice to everyone! We ended up lucking out and received her as our server! Her name is Tiara B. If you ever see this woman, request her because you will receive primo service. They were extremely busy and yet she was able to take on the whole bar area (right side of restaurant) because the large party took four servers to man. I've been in the hospitality industry for over twenty years and Tiara had it going on! She was impressive. She didn't write anything down. That's how you know she's a well-seasoned server! She suggestively sold us on drinks and appetizers after she greeted us. She even had to make my drink, a Margarita Moscow Mule and it was delicious, too. We ended up having the delicious Bourbon Wings for starters. Then she brought out their DELICIOUS house rolls and honey butter. FANTASTIC! We had special requests for our entrees and she nailed it. Not one issue, just perfect. Our Prime Rib and bacon wrapped Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. We couldn't finish our meals and had to take doggie bags! During the midst of the lunch rush, one of Tiara's regulars arrived and requested her. She greeted him with a smile and said,"You remember me?" She replied, "Of course, it's been a few years!" He said, " Oh my goodness, you have an amazing memory!". This is how I knew we were lucky to have gotten her All in all, we will be back for our date nights when we're in the area and want to get away from North Hollywood! Please commend Tiara B. for the excellent job and there should be servers like her everywhere! Thank you, Tiara and we hope you'll be there again when we visit!
Waiter was extremely attentive and the place was spotless! Great southern atmosphere and the food looked to good to eat but tasted even better! Best part is there is 0 wait time will be coming back.
Yvette served us. Drinks are amazing.
The epitome of grilling. Awesome service. Good meat. Admirable
My first time trying the chicken fried chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and country gravy (same concept as chicken fried steak) it was very good all though the breading was slightly on the salty side. Got the Texas eggrolls also
amazing food. A little bit expensive. Service could be better. Had to wait several times to get a refill on our drink and bread.
ROADHOUSE GRILL IN LONG BEACH at LB Towne Center on Carson is AWESOME, experience the Great Food, and excellent Staff and Service , they're Fully open Mask upon entering, Shrimp is excellent, ask for a little side of Whiskey River Sauce to dip Shrimp into, Yum ! Jianelly is a 10 +Server !!
After 7 year's not coming to this location They only change the peanut on the bucket great service food was really good.
We were pressed for time to catch our movie and parked by the restaurant and we gave it a try. Great service and food. Ordered the shrimp and medium 9oz Sirloin and 2 sides. Baked potato and Mac & cheese. They were mostly 5/5 except the Mac & cheese was watery cheese and cold. Definitely recommend and would avoid the Mac & cheese.
I could tell that the steak i ordered was wet bryned and tenderized. I havnt had food cooked this well in many years. And the servers were so eager to please us. I left happy and satisfies. Also the price of our food was very under priced in my opinion. I was suprised by the low cost of a fantastic meal. Love this place.
Our experience was excellent! Fiona was our waitress and she was absolutely the sweetest lady. We loved her cute accent and fun personality. She overheard me asking my husband if I think there were rolls that they would serve us and she decided to surprise me and bring them over without telling me they do indeed serve rolls. It was so fun. Everyone was kind and welcoming and the food was delicious! It was cooked so well and just perfect. We definitely recommend!
Great experience while visiting this restaurant. Great service and superb food
Roadhouse Grill brimming with unbelievable hospitality. Our waiter was absolutely superb, he ensured that we had everything we needed, provided adequate check ins and kept us in the loop regarding our order. The BLT was absolutely delicious with its mounds of bacon, perfectly toasted bread, fresh green lettuce and firm slices of tomatoes. The pomegranate lemonade was 3 glasses of euphoria. My friend had the chicken and mash, I had a piece the chicken was very flavorful paring well with loaded baked potato, and fresh string beans. There was no wait for a 6:30pm on a Friday, nice atmosphere and opportunity to catch up with a friend.
Our sever Alexis was very nice and attentive. The baked potatoes were cooked perfectly, not hard and not overcooked. The sirloin I got tasted good, just looked a little rounded. Different than what I am used to when I cook at home. The portion of brocolli was generous and also steamed perfect. My husband enjoyed his boiler steak and baked potato. They serve fresh sweet rolls which were hot and delicious. They give you a can of peanuts, you toss the shells on the floor which is actually kind of fun. Definitely a casual atmosphere.
The bbq full rack ribs and strawberry lemonade was very delicious. I was very upset at the customer service at this location as the waitress was rude. I was in the middle of eating and she picked up my fork from my plate. I'm not sure her reason as to why she wanted to rush us and pick up plates when two of us were still eating. Other than that, the food was good. The location is pretty big and it doesn't get full. You don't have to wait in line to be seated, I visited this location on Friday evening around 6:30 p.m.
Great place to eat. My fav are the BBQ combos , pork sliders, and the house rolls are DELICIOUS. Service is fast . Kids under 10 eats free on Tuesday. On veterans day, they give a 15$ off gift card, which my husband used with proof.
Food I order the original ribeye steak. That was cooked very well and it was juicy and not too much fat. Inside the restaurant you will see alot of peanut shells in the floor. That is cause they give you peanuts to eat when you are seated. Service was ok. Wasn't the fastest but nor the slowest. But order was taken promptly and food came out in a timely manner.
Out of all the meats , pulled pork and the shrimp had the best flavor . Slightly disappointed in the baby back ribs they were below average and had no smoke ring . The sides were above average especially the jalapeño artichoke dip and mash potatoes. I will be coming back
Food was OK, could be improved by temperature and buns weren't cooked. Waitress was OK but we waited to get our bill taken care of. I showed my friend from out of the country, but it used to be more impressionable when I was younger. Tried to give it another chance. Didn't order much finished fast.
I dont know who copied who, but this place and Texas Roadhouse are identically the same. This place only offers prime rib on weekends, so I got the 16-oz cowboy cut. It wasn't as good as Texas Roadhouse, but it's still good.
First time there, but won't be the last time/I had Rib-Eye Steak, baked potato, green beans with Jack Daniels on the rocks, all washed down with cold MODELO/wife had Salmon w/Jim Beam Whiskey River sauce with baked white sweet potato 🥔 and rice pilaf/not too mention the warm sweet rolls & butter/really enjoyed the meal/Service was excellent/although I was joking with your waitress**had her going there for a minute**
This is now my favorite place in Orange County for a good burger with great fries.
I liked the bread roll, the strawberry lemonade and the baked beans. ButI didn't like the mac and cheese (dry, overcooked and tasteless) or the meats (dry, unseasoned and burnt on the outside).
I think we have been here like 10 times. Only a couple of those was service slow. Very friendly people, good food, decent drinks. My daughter loves the Mac and Cheese here. It’s not the Kraft kind like many other stores sell, this is “good” Mac and Cheese, so an even bigger approval for that. (Updated: Came again.. daughter likes the Mac but it looks like they have moved the Kraft kind). Their Texas Rolls (or something like it) are delicious if you like the spice. Peanuts is also a fan favorite of the kids. Can’t beat tossing them on the floor. Review went down because of the waitress today. Came for happy hour but all the tables by bar were full.. only spot they honor the happy hour.. fine.. but addressing my husband and not both of us is rude.
Cocktails were well crafted. Unfortunately didn't think the food stood out, primarily the meat dishes.
To me it felt kind of dead. Bartender was friendly but not engaging and the bar wasn't busy at all. I had the meatloaf and while it wasn't bad it wasn't worth ordering again. Nothing on the menu illicited a "must try" reaction from me. It was the middle of the week so there is that. Overall there wasn't anything that would bring me back with all the other choices in the area.
Server was amazing!!!The rolls had a weird flavor. The steak was thin and not as good. I thought we were going to texas roadhouse only to find out that wasnt it. Sunday at 430 pm and almost all tables were empty. Host said the stations were closrd.. music rocked..
I had better steaks at other restaurants. Service was decent. Other roadhouse are very generous with the bread. This place was stingy with it. The plating needs to be better. Especially when they give you a small portion of steak. Makes the whole plate look empty and not to appealing
This place is slowly but surely going down! Lazy servers...or maybe they ignored me due to color? Not sure... But it's basically not worth the time you wait for adequate service. Unfortunately not worthwhile any more
This establishment would do better if it was not next to a Lucille's bbq. The food is decent, the prices are a little high for what you get. It is a good place in a pinch.
I would like to start this review with everything that was great. First, my group of 7 (5 adults and 2 teens) was seated within 10 to 15 minutes of arriving which is incredible for a Sunday evening. The host and server were friendly across all interactions. Lastly, the food came out in a timely manner and the steak and fish were excellent. However, the service and food quality dipped quite a bit outside of this. For the pricing, I honestly expected bigger portions and most things tasted so-so. Particularly, the mac and cheese was salty and gummy in texture, the BLT had a sauce on it (maybe it was drippings from the bacon?), and our sides were mixed up/wrong. The second basket of bread we received was also noticeably burnt. We wished to communicate these issues, but we hardly saw our server after receiving our food. We had to flag him down for the check and we weren't offered refills. I understand it was a Sunday evening and many places are facing staffing issues, but it doesn't change the service and food quality just weren't up to par with our memories of this place pre-covid.
First off Elia or server was the only reason I give a 2. She was awesome and deserves five stars As for the restaurant. My first impression walking in the door was the smell was awful. It smelt old and musty. Like the place needs to be aired out. Now on to the food. My salad was good on top until I got down to the bottom and it was wilted. The steak was beef jerky. Both steaks were just horrible. I was so disappointed. Don’t recommend at all, but if you do ask for Elia
Ordered tri tip sliders and a tri tip salad. The sliders were mostly fat, and the salad appeared to have been topped with sirloin or some other cut (thick) but we were assured it was tri tip. Salad lettuce looked old. Rose was a great server.
Update: 2/10/23 they try to squeeze everyone into one section and the booths are so tight that you end up getting stabbed by the table. And I ain't even big. Dinner rolls use to be my favorite, not anymore plus they use to give 4 now its down to 2. Asked for coffee it was cold and disgusting. Wasn't a great experience, came out with a headache and abdominal pain from getting stabbed by the table. I don't think I'll be going back. Old review: Went in on a whim plus husband wanted ribs and Lucille's was a long wait. Well, we were left amazed. The food was delicious way better than Lucille's even though I don't really like Lucille's to begin with but I did like The Roadhouse. Wow ribs were so soft and the grilled chicken sandwich with avocado and bacon wow! Definitely coming back. 👍 The Roadhouse won us both over.
After waiting for a table in an almost empty restaurant, we were seated and ordered our drinks and peanuts. 10 min later, still no peanuts, seriously the place was not busy at all!! So when I saw our waitress, i asked if we can please get out peanuts. Her reply, well i have to walk to the back and get them out of the bag. And i need to get food out first! Uhhh....ok?? 🤔 don't know why she had to blurt that out, or use that as an excuse for bad service🤷♀️ i told her if our food comes out first, forget the peanuts. She doesn't say anything as she walks away. She comes back shortly with a bag with like 10 peanuts. *see photo* don't know what her deal was but she really needs to work on her customer service skills! 👎
The food was not good! The steak was not cooked to our order and tasted old. The baked potatoes were bland and the rolls were basic. Not a great atmosphere as there were 4 other patrons in the restaurant. Should have indicated to us that it had issues but we were on vacation. The waitress was friendly and attentive but that was the only positive. Over priced and McDonald’s would have been a better choice.
It's been a while since going to Roadhouse but was there at lunch so went to try it out. The place was pretty empty with a few tables occupied and a large group of 20 or so for lunch. Service took forever. No clue where the "hostess" was but had to wait to be seated. I believe they had one server who was very nice but really took our order and never came back. No drink refills, no how was it, Nada!! I guess they No longer serve the yummy bread either. My chicken sandwich was pretty burned as well. Pork chops were good. Luckily there are lots of places in LBTC to eat so pass on Roadhouse unless you wanna spend $60 for a sub par lunch.
I took my family to this place for dinner. Just walking in I felt that it wasn't going to be a good experience. Usually, for great food and great hospitality, there will be a long wait. I was correct. First, there weren't that many people for a Friday night. After we were seated it took quite a bit for our waiter to come. When we finally received our food it was VERY disappointing. Food was in small portions and burnt, the bacon tasted freezer burnt and they also forgot some sides. Paid $18.00 for the plate in the pictures. My advice is to go somewhere else for a good dining experience. Avoid this place.
Service was pretty fast was sat down in 10mins only 2 people in front of us. First off when we were sat down there was flies flying around the table. Second tables where not cleaned properly. Third my loaded baked potato seemed to be darkest brown on the inside like if it was going bad. 4th steak was real oily. Last part, the macaroni and cheese was not freshly made it was stouffers frozen Mac n cheese. Quality of food was horrible. Flies flying around table and food. Service was probably the only thing good.
BUGS on broccoli- The steak was overcooked, chewy, and tough. The sides were bland and my order of broccoli had not been washed prior to cooking and I found at least 3 caterpillars on it. Let the server know and she asked if we wanted new plates and different sides but did not comp anything. Disappointed.
I don’t how this place is open. The food was terrible. All of my party left all there food. Place was dirty. Service was bad.
First time and probably are last. Very rude, ask a simple questions about my check because the price on check didn't reflect what menu prices. Waiter says in a rude and annoyed tone. It states in the menu, which I didn't see... I was looking for clarification not an attitude. Food was ok. Steak was paper thin and tough. The Mac and cheese was not the greatest. Bread was good.
Worst thing I ever encountered. Food uncooked and manager “let me adjust you bill” nothing adjusted. We left entire meal on table. Don’t know how anyone can eat this and not end up in the hospital
This place’s food was horrible. The steak was chewy and awful and on the outside it looked gray. The macaroni was horrificly disgusting. The garlic potatoes were strong and bitter. The bread was atrocious and hard as rocks and the butter was nasty. The sweet tea tasted like they dumped two gallons of sugar in it (I know it’s supposed to be sweet but after two sips, I felt sick). It was all disgusting. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Our server was really sweet though so that’s the only plus
If you've ever been to this chain, you know they are known for their generous delicious puffy doughy bread. This place gave us three tiny pieces that were quite hard. When we asked for more, they gave us only three more. The portion sizes seem small and condiments are per portion, as opposed to just giving us the bottle. Overall this location just seems to skimp on everything. More than half my drink was ice. Pass this place unless you have no other choice.
Where should I start?? Tossed the menus on the table along with the napkins & silverware. Ordered an appetizer, and we ordered the small prime rib. Paper thin on one side, a bit thicker on other side, very dry, wanted both medium rare, 1 was medium and 1 was done. Only thing that was half way decent were the sides. The cook delivered our meals, the host got me Xtra butter for my potato. Oh ...did I say we never received our appetizer. Our server we only saw him twice. Then seconds before the check he brought me out my birthday sundae, he said sorry the whipped cream was melting as he pushed the cherry back on top with his fingers. GEESH This was our 1st and last time here. I am usually not one to write a bad review, but I will not recommend this establishment to anyone. P.S. it was not even busy. A lot more customer service would be nice. And he still got a good tip!!
Truly difficult place $20 for 2-in sliders. It does come with four. Nonetheless. If you don't get fresh bread with your sliders, they might come out hard and if you don't say fresh meat, it might come out cold p
