Opinions de Bareburger Long Island City
I order the food and it was so delicious! I order wagyu smash burger (it was one of my favorite burger ever. So juicy, tasty, and cooked perfectly) Gluten free impossible burger and fries. It cooked perfectly.
We’ve been to this restaurants many times over the years in larger groups or as a couple for a quick bite. They have really nice options for kiddos and adults (inc. vegan ones). We’ve also ordered foods from here and the food arrived quickly and still warm.
This place is so perfect for kids! Free popcorn, kids meals, a kid show on the tv, huge coloring sheets and a clean bathroom. Highly recommend for families with kids!
She was great! But she needs someone else helping up front!
District manager James took my oder and I must say hes energy was amazing. I’ve so far tried a few different things of the menu and everything was a 10 out of 10 :)
It is a great day when you can eat a Bareburger in the sunshine! Thank you for the delishishness every time I order out from here! Mmmm mmmmm mmmmm. Thank you thank you thank you. The more appreciation for now is a path to more appreciation for tomorrow 🙏🏼☮️😊 be kind to your belly. #bekindtoyourthoughts
When I walked in to place my order the kitchen was very busy, which showed me it’s probably as good as I’ve heard. While waiting for my order, another customer who was also waiting wrote a negative review about the wait time while still in the restaurant. The staff handled it with grace and ensured he got his order and everything he could have needed. Sasha was awesome at handling all of the delivery drivers and customers.
Love this place! It's a go-to in the area, offering healthy and delicious options. Good prices and service, too.
Mouthwatering food everytime. I’ve gone to this location 2 times now and every time the food is so great and amazing. Worth the price and is soooo damn tasty. Highly recommend any of the burgers vegan or regular style as everything is buttery smooth. The milkshakes are so wonderfully smooth and creamy, the fires have a nice layer of crunch on top and soft interior too. Front service is always pleasant and warm too.
We come here often, and it’s always a great Experience, for us and the kid. It’s very child friendly and the Food is great
Really great option for a solid burger, no hype, but lots of options. Vegetarian friendly. Picky kid friendly. Group friendly.
The food is solid especially for kids. Very chill and kid friendly place that my Littles ask for all the time. Angel is there on the weekends and she’s the best.
Wonderful burgers! Juicy burgers filled with lots of flavor. Definitely worth the price! I liked that they had different kinds of sauces and meats available. They even had meatless options. The staff was nice and I will definitely be coming back again!
The staff is phenomenal here. Very attentive and thoughtful. Sweetest waitresses, solid food, great happy hour deals, awesome vibes
Went there once to try the Impossible Burger. Wow, it was great! Fast service, sat outside along Vernon Blvd. There are quite a few vegan burgers (the prairie burger is also great). The bread is incredible! And the vegan items are denoted on the menu. Way more vegan options than you would expect at a burger place.
You will absolutely love this spot. Cute little spot with amazing service and delicious food. Way better than you would expect. Jules is world class server, so nice and welcoming. Manager Chris was super courteous and madethe experience wonderful. 5 Stars. I
angel was the sweetest!! Amazing food and extremely attentive to allergies and dietary preferences!!
Food was great as always. Exactly what I'd expect from bareburger. Vegan options is a plus for me. Was surprised to hear it was dog friendly, which really made things easier for me. Like with any bareburger location you should go in expecting to spend some money but the food is great and filling
Been here twice (once for lunch and once for dinner) and both times we had a good experience and really enjoyed the food. We have tried the vegan options and sides and our burgers were really tasty and felt fresh and came out hot. The food was well seasoned and service was prompt and attentive. We’ll definitely be back.
amazing eating experience. date and I came in during happy hour. she had a diet coke, I a Blue Moon, and we each ordered The National. Absolutely delicious, not to mention quiet and we were watching Thomas & Friends on the TV (lol). Our waitress was also very charming. Overall 10/10
Best black bean burger I tried in a while, milkshakes are on point and the side pickles were awesome I would come back again here. Ms Catalina was very nice to us.
My wife and I got a Classic Chix and an Americana which were both excellent. Most of the food is gluten free and tastes very good. We will definitely order again!
Bareburger is always good. Service was friendly and food came out perfectly. We always come back when we need that burger and it’s always hitting the right spot!
Bareburger is my go-to for takeout, especially for the kids. The meals are always fresh, consistently good, and most importantly, my kids are always happy. Reliable, tasty, and stress-free every time.
Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! The burgers were juicy and full of flavor, cooked just right, and piled high with fresh toppings. The sides were just as impressive—crispy onion rings, perfectly seasoned sweet potato fries, and golden French fries that hit the spot. Will visit again. Great servers, very helpful with menu
I was a bit skeptical about trying this out because of the whole organic deal, but i must say i was blown away. i went there with my friend and this place rocks. went back a second time with my girlfriend and she feel in love the fact that they offer a variety of options and the service is great will make anyone come back for more. Proper burger place for friends or a date night. Outdoor seating in the summer can't go wrong.
Ordered a build my own burger with a quinoa-chia-green peas patty and loved it! The option to customize every aspect of ther burger is great. In combination with the usually good service at Bareburger restaurants, this place is a must go no matter what your dietary preferences are.
Awesome burger spot on Vernon! Staff is extremely helpful and friendly and their menu is a gluten free dream - everything is labeled! I had the “chicky club” with a gluten free bun, fries, and some local hard cider. Chicken was cooked well and avocado was fresh! Side note: they even have gluten free fried chicken
Hands down the best vegan nuggets I've ever had 😍 onion rings, "tap" soda and brussel sprouts were amazing, too. The vegan shake just tasted like SO Delicious brand's vanilla ice cream, which I personally don't like, but if you like that ice cream then it's great with the hemp milk! Unfortunately our server hit on my friend...
I’ve tried almost any meat options; wagyu, elk, bison etc and got paired them with avocado, sprouts and Parmesan. I can’t tell enough of how delicious they were all… I’d strongly recommend them-especially wagyu. Portions are huge and healthy/low carb options are available for the bun like flaxseed bun, lettuce wraps etc which I appreciate a lot. Server is also aways so kind
I’m gluten free and don’t remember the last time I had a burger that didn’t instantly fall apart or things like fried pickles or popcorn chicken. So grateful!
It was such a great find! I was looking for something filling and savory, and this place hit the spot. I stumbled across this little gem, and was pleasantly surprised. The Korean wings were seasoned well, carrot cake was delicious and the Salad was more than I anticipated. The gentlemans recommendations at the to-go counter for this establishment was great and spot on. The service was friendly and helpful when I had questions. I came when there weren't alot of people so everything moved smoothly, Definitely a spot I’d come back to.

I’ve never been to a Bareburger before so I went to this burger spot with some co workers one night because we were feeling burgers and heard that this chain was very good. So we all decided to go and have our dinner there and lemme tell ya, the burgers are amazing. Our server was super duper nice (I forget her name but she’s Filipino with glasses) so kudos to her! She gave us tasty popcorn and even offered us if we wanted to take some to go. Overall, not only the food was good, was the service and the atmosphere was great. It was a nice chill place to eat and chill. Would come back again.
Long Island City got lucky with this burger joint in their neck of the concrete jungle. The food is phenomenal and the service is quick and speedy. I got the Sweet Dreams plant based burger and the sweet potato fries. All of it was fantastic. Even the beer was crispy fresh. You order with a QR and they bring it out to you pretty quickly. It’s definitely a great spot for a lunch or dinner date with daddy.
yummy food great servers, the whole team is great!!!!!!!!!! i totally recommend this place

Grass fed burgers, amazing milkshakes, great service from Juliann (Jules). What more could you ask for?
I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a meal this much. Efficient service with personal care. The staff's effort makes this restaurant good. Their culinary execution beats pricey restaurants. …
Great burgers !tastes fresh , lots of choices , quick delivery . I wish there were more locations all over the city !

Great selection and customization of many vegan and gluten free options as well as bison, elk, and beef burgers. The Brussels Sprouts with Asiago and honey is fantastic. We always do delivery.
Good quality is always great. Ingredients are fresh and organic. Very tasty! delivery was on time!
Small and intimate, the decor is country fancy. I like it. The service is attentive and spot on. I really enjoyed the duck burger and hot honey vanilla shake. You cannot go wrong. The onion rings and fries are pretty good as well.
I have been a fan of Bareburger since my first experience in Astoria Queens in 2013. This location is fast, efficient, with warm, friendly service that gets the job done. I’m not sure if pandemic affected their portions as they boast an organic/ grass fed menu and it’s been a while, but I did feel that the burger quality has declined slightly in thickness. Mostly bread over a thin patty and lettuce is extra BUT Overall, I had a wonderful time because the service is great!
Friendly staff. Came in here to get drinks with the crew. Workers were very welcoming and showed us a great time.
Delightful little burger restaurant with a good setup and selection. If you're searching this area for a good burger, you've found it. They've got a variety of specialty burgers as well as a convenient and intuitive build-your-own option. There are a few fixings to share like fries, onion rings and mozz sticks. They also have a variety of beers, wine, ales and liquors and they even have an entire Vegan menu if that's what you're looking for. I had come here with a friend on the pretense of getting a burger, but we both decided on chicken instead, so I can't wholeheartedly vouch for their burgers, but everyone around us seemed to be enjoying theirs. It wasn't because the burger selections looked bad, but none of them really stood out to us either and chicken just sounded better in the moment. I went for grilled chicken and she had fried buttermilk chicken. We also shared some waffle fries and each had a hard apple cider, both of which were quite good. Both of our sandwiches were absolutely amazing as well. Pricing is typical for this area of New York, which is a bit high, but not unexpected or troubling in the least; you definitely get what you paid for. Restaurant environment was clean and adequate with a quirky, cute aesthetic that fits the area. The food is killer and almost makes me want to have it again if I revisit NY again. Definitely give this one a try if you're wanting an outstanding burger or chicken sandwich.

I appreciate bareburger because they are always trying new menu items to keep it fresh and you can customize your orders. The new falafel wrap was really tasty.

I really don't know how to feel about this place. The waitstaff were friendly, but kept asking me if my meal was fine because the place was empty. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it was honestly not very good. The sandwich wasn't staying together and the chicken was VERY moist and kinda had me concerned it wasn't cooked all the way. However I took the leftovers home and once reheated it was really really good.
Everything but the food was great the fires taste like they was sitting and re fired and the burger just taste like grass
The burgers are good but unfortunately the food got to us cold. The service is terrible. Super slow and the servers disappears for a long time. Unfortunately won’t be coming back.
The food was amazing, and the onion rings are a must have, they’re huge, crispy, and so tasty. The service on the other hand wasn’t that great. We waited like 40 minutes for two kid sundaes and a milkshake, and when they came, they were melted/melting.
This place was highly recommended to us. We were there around lunch time and the place was dead. We waited over an hour for our food. Considering when we ordered we were the only ones in the restaurant, an hour is completely unacceptable. We had to ask how much longer our food would take. She offered to put it into to go boxes, but we had a flight to catch so no. We had to scarf down our food in order to make a flight. If you have that kind of time, maybe this place is for you as the food was good, but service is horrendous.
Let's start with vibes. Nice rustic decor, beautifully decorated with reclaimed wood. Music, no particular genre. One song could be rock other could be country and so on. Hospitality services is below average. Upon entering you wait and they server will come and ask if take out delivery. Table we received was not properly clean you can feel the sticky feeling of greasy substance. Servers were busy chatting and on cellphone rather than waiting on customers. Food, burger were little above average, not the best or tastiest as they claim. I have worked with food and it is no where near what is called fresh. Only item that felt fresh was sweet potato fries. Conclusion, Premium price, average service and average burger, not the best.
While I would say the food is good, the service was mid. I've came here two weeks ago and came back here again. The first time I've came, I had the Bareburger and a beer. It came with popcorn which w…
I got a wagyu smash burger combo with fries. The burger was ok and plain. Weird bbq sauce on it and it was very very thin. Kind of disappointed tbh. Like I didn’t expect there to be zero vegetables except pickles. Lack luster and small. I wish someone upsold me on an extra patty and toppings. Ridiculous that what’s on the menu is so bare. I was starving so I ate everything but honestly, for a burger place, I expected more. I’m still hungry.
My husband ended up with food poisoning. We ordered two burgers everything was the same except the fries and one burger no tomato. We got our burgers and they had nothing but cheese when we ordered bacon and egg with lettuce, the works. They took it back to put in the missing ingredients and when we get back are the burgers. Their patties are cold and raw. At that point it had lost my appetite. I was not going to write a review at all but my husband is now sick. Never want to go back.
honestly, the food wasn’t very good. i’ve been here two times. won’t fall for it again lol the burger patty has no texture or firmness to it. it’s so squishy that i can’t distinguish it from the bun sometimes. there’s basically no seasoning on it, it’s very plain. the toppings themselves were not very good either. the pickles didn’t taste good? sauce seemed underseasoned. not enough onions, like they only put a tiny amount. bacon had decent taste and texture. milkshake wasn’t that good. very thin and the portion size was very small, especially for the price ($10!). taste was unremarkable. fries were good and crispy, at least. GREAT service though, loved the servers. they’re so nice.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I am so stunned at what this location is selling vs what they are advertising. I purchased the wagyu smash burger. I am so incredibly upset that I paid $9 for what was smaller than a dollar meal cheese burger at McDonalds. (For reference: my hand is VERY small: 3.25 inches wide, so you can assume the burger size) The patty was half the size of the already extremely small burger bun, cooked to oblivion, a finger worth’s smear of sauce and 2 pickles. Hoping and praying good things come in small packages, I gave it a shot (it was also $9 and I was already back at work with my lunch break almost over because it took 25 minutes to make this slider sized burger). It was actually tasteless. It was like putting an ikea meatball on a potato bun. The only thing I tasted was bread. The advertised picture is a smash burger loaded with onion, sauce and a patty that extends past the bun…. What I received was a flashback to high school cafeteria lunch. I am so sick of atrocious pricing in LIC. The very least restaurants can do is provide quality food if they aren’t going to make their food affordable. Side note: I paid $8.29 and tax for this but this advertisement that was attached to my order says $3.68….unless I’m misreading, I’m not sure why I paid a different price.
Been here numerous times before. Nothing extraordinary about this place but I got the feeling of being discriminated today. Wasn't given the usual popcorn so I thought they stopped offering it. However, every one that came after me were given a bag. The signs of adding $1 to your order to make it a combo is no longer posted. Again, I thought they stopped offering it. My waiter, James, didn't offer it when he took my order. However, the same tables that came after me who received their popcorn were advised that they can add $1 and make their order a combo. What gives? Am I not a customer or am I considered someone who does not qualified for them?
Easily seated. However there was only one waiter. I was disappointed in the presentation of the burger. It was very lackluster and also the taste was bland as well. I almost got up waiting for the waiter to get a refill of water. I was very disappointed about how expensive the burger was and how it tasted. Only thing I enjoyed was my bacon cheese fries. Although they skimmed on the cheese sauce.
i'm truly disappointed, we paid 52 dollars for 2 burgers. one of the burgers came with fries and onions rings. i eas given 2 onions rings that tasted like grass and the fries were okay. the cashi…
Update: This place is a mess in every way! Crappy unprofessional service and crappy expensive food! They have one employee who will watch Baseball professionally but he will not serve two tables professionally. Not even a little! He was watching baseball so hard that my food was cold and disgusting. I told him the table was dirty and he said, "Oh!?" He never cleaned the table so I moved to another dirty table. I was trying not to be an angry New Yorker! 🤣 This guy made it so hard however I succeeded. On a lighter note...the food is really bad and so are the beverages. This use to be a 5 star spot but now it is dirty and empty and it's hard to believe they will remain open for too long!? Worst place of business to do business with in all of Vernon!!!
Will never order again from this place. Seamless Grub Hub who delivers for them never delivered wha to ordered. They also had the nerve to take a photo of delivery and it’s clearly not even my building or the correct apartment . So they delivered to wrong place. When I called the restaurant the person who spoke to me couldn’t have cared less and said wasn’t their problem because I used an app for delivery. Not eating here ever again.
Don’t eat here with kids or allergies! We came here because Bareburger is known for their detailed, meticulous, allergy menus. We ordered egg-free buns and lactose free cheese, confirmed verbally with the waiter several times, and they brought us normal burgers 35 minute later. Thankfully we noticed 2 bites into the burger and stopped our toddler from having more of the burger as he is severely allergic to eggs. The waiter asked the manager to come. They apologized, comp’t the meal, and offered to pay medical bills. However, as any parent or people with allergies know, it’s no use apologizing after such things happen and I just don’t want this to happen to other families. The toddler with severe egg allergy is thankfully fine. I personally got sick for 2 days from eating the lactose cheese. Besides missing out allergy notes, it seems the restaurant is prioritizing the take out business and neglecting the restaurant. Only 1 staff was tasked to run the entire restaurant, including waiting, hosting, and bartending. It’s no surprise that the allergy notes were ignored. We waited 35 minute for the food, didn’t complain because they were clearly understaffed, but it’s not acceptable to ignore allergy notes when you advertise this allergy menu. Please staff your restaurant.
Perfectly fine food but unconscionably staffed restaurant. This low review is a reflection of corporate/management NOT the individual employees. On a busy Saturday night there was one employee working front of house (seating guests, taking orders, getting drinks aka bartending, serving food - SO MANY JOBS) and they were doing an amazing job given the circumstances. We were there for 2+ hours and had only received our food minutes before leaving. We actually had to take much of it to go in order to get h at a decent time. I was hoping this was a weird evening where perhaps several people called in sick but I had to return the following evening to pick up something I accidentally left behind and saw a very similar situation - one employee responsible for entire front of restaurant and customers waiting. Hard to imagine the employees get a break under these circumstances and if you’re eating here, do not plan for a quick meal. Yikes!! What a poorly run establishment - with so many other places in the area, I suggest you go elsewhere.
Not impressed. If they had advertised them as sliders, I wouldn't be as annoyed, but just know that their 'burgers' are barely 3" in diameter. The side of fries is bigger than the burger itself. I had the impossible burger, and it left me very underwhelmed. For $9.29 + taxes, I could've probably made 2 and added more flavor to it at home since it was basically potato bun + 1 slice of cheese + 4 pickles + impossible patty. Fries were also soggy and flavorless.
TL;DR: restaurant gave us food we were allergic to despite warning kitchen of allergy We visited this location the evening of Oct 22nd. We explained before ordering that our son is allergic to eggs and the server made sure that his allergy was marked for the kitchen. We carefully reviewed their allergy information and made sure to only select items that don’t contain eggs, including a potato bun for his burger. Unfortunately, when our food was served our son’s burger was on a brioche bun (which contains eggs). He took several bites before we realized the mistake and spent the rest of the night anxiously watching him, epipen in hand, to see if we’d need to call an ambulance. To the restaurant’s credit, they were extremely apologetic when we brought the mistake to their attention. The manager assured us that they would be retraining the kitchen and even offered to cover the cost of any medical treatment we might need. While I trust that the restaurant is taking this incident seriously, I’d strongly caution anyone with allergies against eating here.
We ordered online for pickup, and got the wrong order for one of the burgers. We got a lettuce bun which was very different from the brioche bun we ordered. The lettuce bun was also not even properly done and was leaking everywhere… Called the store and they offered to replace the burger - one hour later. It was just too long to wait and too far to go pick up again. To be fair we got a refund on the burger, but still a pretty bad experience.
I used to like Bareburger very much, but the quality has decreased drastically. They charged an extra $5 for delivery on top of the tips and our order arrived 1.5 hours late (2.5 hours of the wait time in total, despite following up). We got a plate of very dry RE-fried, or overnight leftover, chicken (see picture). Not ever again. Sad. —— UPDATE —— What other people here said about unprofessional/unpleasant pick-up orders and deliveries are very similar to my experience.
In general, I really like Bareburger. However the staff at this location seem to struggle a lot. For takeout, the last 3 times I ordered they got something wrong or were missing part of the order. I called to ask them to adjust the balance, and they promised they would, but I was never credited back on my credit card. For dine in, they’re usually very understaffed (1 person taking orders and running the food and bussing tables for the whole place) and the service is very slow.
I called about not having my shake as chocolate as requested and you can see the extra charge. I was ensured by Jackie that the chocolate sauce was added( I guess I’m color and shade blind) I also requested utensils. I believe my shake was given to someone else along with my Utensils. All I wanted was the refund for the fee since I didn’t get my complete order. Neither picture shows any evidence of having the chocolate sauce added. But the charge for it is surely there. Update I also used the QR code on the receipt to inform the store what happened. This was their response: Hi Kimberly, We just spoke on the phone. I’m glad we were able to clear out your concern. Rest assured the shake was made with chocolate sauce. Have a great rest of your day! Bareburger STOP to end There wasn’t an option for me to send them any of the images that are below.
