Cypress used to be the best! Now it's terrible got charged for wrong order. Jus wanted a cheese burger meal.. they charged me 11 dollars and gave me a chillicheese burger instead which was disgusting.. and wanted to charge me 50 cents for a ranch after spending $11... What i had for dinner that evening was absolutely delicious. For s while I've been wanting to have an classic stile chard broil hamburger loaded with topping avocado s double double type of thing. Just drove up to this little spot , had the breakfast 2 sausage 3 eggs , hash browns ,2 bacon . And a drink. Finally! A good breakfast , everything was spot on, would of loved to have taken a picture , but I ate it , it was to delicious to stop lol , also I'm not a big fan of sausage but there's was a little kick to it I dunno it was good though thanks definitely will be back...

Amazing joint in Cypress Park, near Highland Park. Everything I eat here rocks. One of my favorite breakfast burritos around. Get the pico de gallo on it. French toast here is great. Loved the Huevos Rancheros. Their Chile relleno as a plate or in a burrito is another favorite. Tasty burgers with a satisfying thousand Island sauce. This review is just for the burgers. The burgers here are delicious. Great portion and good fries as well. A great combo for the price, which is a bit above the average but worth it in my opinion. The pastrami burger and cheeseburger have to be my favorites and definitely recommend.

The only reason I gave atmosphere 4 stars is because I would like to have some tables outside in the summer. Otherwise there's nothing wrong with Cypress Best. They take EBT, and have been around since I was in high school. (1987ish)

I had the strawberry milkshake and there's no comparison with chain fast food restaurants. Real strawberry flavor and real ice cream! Yum!

I was looking for a good hamburger spot and I found it delicious pastrami burger and fresh hot crispy soft frys they know what they are doing.

My go to for burgers in the south Highland Park and south Glassel Park. My order is their colossal burger (pastrami cheeseburger) and rings. They do lots of other good stuff, too. They stopped answering their phone at least around lunchtime, so I order my take-out on Grubhub. They also do Grubhub for local deliveries. Parking can be tough around lunchtime, but I always manage to find a space.

I've been going to this restaurant since I was 10 years old. Great people, great food great atmosphere. It's to the point that my family made it an event to go every Sunday. After church and to this day I still go.

I used to eat there when I was a kid. When I visit I always have to get me some cypress best!! I was raised on that food and nothing will beat their burgers no matter where I live. Kinda like saying nothing beats mom’s food.

We wanted something for the road after finishing a 3 mile fundraiser walk at the Rose Bowl. We found cypress best from a Google search in Maps. The parking lot is small but we were able to find a spot! they have a variety of food. we ordered a chocolate milkshake, cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, onion rings and fries all for 20 bucks!! The burgers are huge and are so savory! and the serving of fries and o rings were big too and worth the money. The bacon is so tender and salty. The onion rings were cooked to perfection and stayed hot the whole ride home. Definitely a must stop location! Can't wait until I'm in this area again. see you soon Cypress Best!!

Wanted a classic style burger w/o all the hype and wait for In and Out, and this delivered. Burger was extremely tasty, fresh, and not too greasy. Perfect amount of secret sauce, perfect amount of lettuce. Plain ole’ cooking, minimal and on point. Old school atmosphere and working class vibe are the cherry on-top. Support this small business.

I've had the brakefast burrito , the cheeseburger combo and recently the bacon cheeseburger with onion rings combo. The food is good amd understandable with inflation a bit pricey. The only thing I was bothered with was with the onion rings being soggy instead of crispy. Maybe it was just this one time but I like mine crispy.

The combo deals are worth every dollar. My only complaint is that whenever I ask for extra onions- and I see them write them down on the order- my burger ends up without any onions at all!

Went to pickup lunch. The food was okay. Typical fast food. Hamburger and fries and a tuna melt. Nothing stood out as particularly delicious however it wasn't terrible. For a quick something to eat this place is fine. I would go back if I was ever in the area again, however it isn't a place I would go out of my way for.

This burger place is okay if you want a quick bite and enjoy adequate tasting food. It's a casual place that gives you large portions at a reasonable price. They have plenty of booths and parking is free. You get your food quickly and the employees are courteous.

This is a good local burger joint. I recommend it to anyone looking for a decent burger at a good price. Parking can be tight and there isn't much street parking available. They don't provide any refills for free. Most places give you at least one.

The food is pretty tasteless. I had the chicken burger and it didn't have any taste. The onion rings are deep fried in a simple batter that makes them bland.

It's a fast food burger stand. Cheap, quick comfort food. But the counter help is weak in customer service. They act like they're doing you a favor by taking your order.

Drive thru was a drag. They have a sign posted to call before you reach the window but it took 7 calls to finally get someone on the line. Then you have to wait while they take other people's order. When you get to the window, you still have to wait 10 mins per order. The burger was ok. Nothing great.

Everyone I know loves this place but it wasn't my cup of tea. I got the chili cheese fries. They were under $10. Maybe I should try a cheese burger if I go back.

The Burgers are pretty good. You can dine in or drive up to the window to pick up your order. You can call and place your order . The car in front of us did not do that so we were waiting for several minutes behind him. Really annoying.

This is literally what a neighborhood burger spot should be about. It's got a little 50s diner to the decorations too. From breakfast to dinner, sandwiches and burgers, even salads and Mexican food. Small parking but of course it doesn't get too busy and some neighborhood parking in case it does get busy. Prices aren't bad either, which is what you'd expect from a place like this. Cash and card accepted too. I'm not sure at what time they close (saw two different times online). I called and a lady seemed really bothered about it, "What do you want?!" She asked and ultimately said she couldn't make anything for me and hung up while I tried to ask what time they close

I've been coming here since 1990 or so. The chili cheese fries are my favorite since I was a kid. Although I've moved away in 93, I still come a few times a year. It's been about a year since today's visit. The CHILI TASTED DIFFERENT. The texture is different. Through the years yes they've used different fries and cheeses but the chili remained steadfast. I'm praying that maybe this was just a bad batch (it happens I understand) but never in the 30+ years of me coming here has the chili tasted different. Oh and 8.50 for a large chili cheese fries that's insane at least add a drink to it. I remember they used to be 3.75 back in the day lol.

I order on line it had no way to say no to Pico guys. Ok. I order this before no way again ok.

Bland food all around as well as service. The gal who took my order, made herself look busy for nearly 5 minutes before asking what I was ordering. Really, bad attitude that made me just want to leave, but I stuck around on account that I was hungry. I ordered a beef burrito and a hamburger. The beef burrito included cheese which is not traditional, and should be something that is disclosed to the customer. The hamburger lacked seasoning and overall the individual components did not result in a tasty burger - all I tasted was bread.

The burgers were really good, but again the service could be better. I asked a question about the size of the burgers to the girl helping me and she gave me a look like "what a stupid question! All the burgers are the same" i like to ask questions because burquers size vary from place to place. Will I come back? ....maybe not

I'm not sure if they have new employees but I've been going for Chilli cheese fries for more then 15 years here and the past 2-3 months they haven't taste the same. Last time i went i ordered 2 xlarge Chilli cheese fries and all they put was alot of fries and cheese not sure about the amount of Chilli they put but seems like they literally put 1 spoon of Chilli so that didn't taste good to me. 😮‍💨. Hopefully they notice the problem . This is the only place I only go get them. But if they don't taste good to me I will need to unfortunately go find a new place . 😩

I order the huevos rancheros over the phone, I went to pick up my order and when I got back to work I notice that there was no salsa on the huevos like it’s supposed to, the beans had no flavor and the hash brows tasted like they been sitting there for a while (old).

I went in to get 3 sandwiches and they messed up my order 2 times. I watched them make the sandwiches, they corrected them and still messed them up. I told the cashier I had a picture of the food and she still kept arguing with me that they didn't mess up.

Worst food ever steak sand which no seasonings..... Meat taste old hard too chew... Bean and cheese burrito beans no seasonings. Beans taste old and blan. Cheese burger cheese not melted . Too much lettuce freezing cold. Fries nothing to brag about... And fried zucchini had a hair in it.... No seasings nothing special. Stomach actually hurt before we left. Will never recommend this place too anyone. Seems as if owner spent more money on wall nostalgia ,Then the food quality.

Used to come here all the time. Burgers were decent and affordable. Now the hipsters moved into the area so spent around $20 for a regular cheeseburger combo, oh and drinks do not come with the combo. Another time I spent around $70 just for 2 chilli cheese fries and 2 regular cheeseburger combos, oh yea almost forgot the 2 cokes that aren’t included in the combo.

I spent $34 on a bacon burger combo and fried chicken dinner. First off, let me tell you.The bacon burger combo was tiny... I am not exaggerating how small the burger and order of frieswere. It was as if it was for a child. The fried chicken dinner I ordered was tasteless and dry. Rice included had zero flavor, it also came with the roll full of mold. I really don't understand the great reviews about this place. Everyone's portions were small that was eating around me. I will never be back here again Complete waste of money. Love Cypress best. I have been coming here since a young lad, but today, we ordered a bacon avocado burger and a cheeseburger, and they put the avocado in the cheeseburger and avocado in bacon avocado burger. No biggie since all we did was switch buns, but as I reached in, I got the 2nd to last chili pepper, I saw that it was bitten! I would like to think it ripped apart, but it legit looks bitten😭😭🤮 I'm sure it wasn't the staff, or at least I hope they didn't put in there so other customers won't get it out the container but the fact that it was in there like this is crazy! I'm going to be double-checking from now on because this is disgusting! I'm in such disbelief 🫠
