Delicious oysters, Sicilian crudo, and scallop tostada! Precise yet unfussy flavors and we loved the vermouth over ice. Beautiful decor and all the servers were so nice. We walked in and we sat immediately at a high top table. Perfect spot for a date night, fast service, charming all around!

Bustling atmosphere with excellent seafood! Small storefront with Al fresco dining (those are actually the largest tables) and high top tables and bar seating inside. Amazing seafood and raw bar! We had the current oyster selections and were delighted. Their broiled oyster special was delicious so much so, we got more to end the meal! Jonah crab salad was also delicious - don't really need the Ritz crackers even! An service was stupendous and friendly! I highly recommended dining here, and do make reservations!

One of our favorite restaurants in the city. The seafood is always high quality and delicious. The fries remind us of the McDonalds fries you had as a kid… crispy, fluffy inside… the best. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The sort of place you can tell people enjoy working.

we got 6 oysters of the pick of the day, we got 4 mussels (10/10), the lobster roll and the key lime pie dessert. wow. everything was truly incredible. the oysters were fresh, cold and the cream in the mussels was to die for. one of those bites whose flavor palette keep expanding even after you swallow- aftertaste amazing with a light light kick. lobster roll bun was amazing, the lobster itself also taste extremely fresh, well seasoned and even creamy. 4 Stars on food because the key lime pie was a bit too sour and overpowering. overall, service fast and efficient, food excellent. immediately added to my favorite spots in LA.

This place is soooo good. The server was very conscious of allergies and worked hard to accommodate. She was always there and ready. The staff in general kept the bites coming. The scallop tostado is one of the best things I’ve had. Several of the dishes were excellent. Of course, the oysters were delicious. Pleased we found this place.

I walked in without reservations but the food was worth the wait. I had the oysters, grilled bread with anchovies and the blue prawns special - everything was fresh and tasty + the service was one point. The perfect summer dining spot, I’ll definitely be back soon.

Found oyster has everything: amazing food, fabulous vibes, and the nicest staff! Their menu is short & sweet, with some very high quality fresh fish dishes. I loved their lobster roll & their salad! A very small spot with limited seating, I recommend coming in a small group or alone. You have to try this restaurant!!

Is this the best non-sushi seafood place in LA? I’ve read this a few times and after trying it for the first time, I can see why. It’s in the heart of East Hollywood on a strip of Fountain Street with a few other notable places. It’s pretty tiny inside but there’s plenty of outdoor seating. Prices are high but not unreasonable for seafood and LA. There’s a pretty extensive wine list and a more limited beer list. The Rose and Mas Candi white were fantastic. Especially the latter which had a crisp and smooth finish. Everything we ordered food was fantastic except one dish. The oysters were almost $5 a pop but they were fantastic - averaged about medium size, perfectly briny, and had a good bite to them. The salt and pepper squid skewer was one of my favorite bites. It had a subtle chili salt on top and was grilled to perfection. The fried oysters were delectable. They had a light, crispy breading and were soft and briny inside. There are plenty of creamy fish dips. We tried the cheesy artichoke brandade - wasn’t too heavy on the fish but had some body and the artichoke was so soft and creamy. My least favorite dish was the scallop tostada. It came drenched in an overly sweet sauce and I think Thai basil. Just felt that the sauce overpowered the entire dish and it didn’t feel cohesive. All in all a wonderful place that I’ll be coming back to.

We love Found Oyster!!! It’s like this restaurant was made for us!! Really good wine list with different varietals than some other local places, and orange wines! Every employee is genuinely happy to be there, and they are all knowledgeable and well versed! The food — Wow!! Everything is small and shareable, which is what we love ♥️♥️

Hello! Are you a human being living in or visiting Los Angeles? Do you miss lazy days lingering over a great glass of wine, eating bites that make you say, "oh!", and the kind of bars where people actually speak to one another? If you answer 'yes' to any of these questions, do yourself an immediate favor and visit Found Oyster. Yes it is walk-ins only. Sure, the seats are uncomfortable. By golly, is it pricey. Should you care about any of those things? No, you should not. Once you are ensconced in a seat - cozy table for two, bar stool, or outdoor table - drinking some glass of natural wine you've never heard of and eating the best fried oyster of your life outside of New Orleans, all you are going to feel is privilege and joy. This is some of the best seafood in Los Angeles and some of the best people running the joint. No, I do not personally know any of them. Yes, I am convinced they are some of the only folx in this city committed to putting the 'hospitality' in the hospitality business. Plus the food is just really, really good. Do not miss out on the fresh oysters (royale if you are fiesty. They're not just an upsell, they're DELICIOUS); the steak tartare burger (trust me. T R U S T. If you skip this you are missing out on the best onion rings of your life); the crab dip (acid! salt! brine! deliciousness!); and the aforementioned fried oysters. Also, save room for dessert, because pie or ice cream, you will leave with a smile on your face. If you're really smart, you'll stroll through the neighborhood after your meal, take in the sunshine, and remind yourself why you like LA in the first place. Mostly, because of places like Found Oyster. Don't skip it!

Food was very good but the waitress was even better!! Quite literally the best waitress I have ever had at a restaurant. She was patient kind, caring, and very thoughtful. She would be the main reason why I would come back!! Unfortunately I forget her name, but if the owners see this- she is blond hair with what sounded like an Eastern European or Russian accent possibly? Great experience!

No way did I fly to LA to have the best east coast oysters I've ever had. Well, I did and now the bar is higher for every oyster spot I come across next. I was lost but now I've been found. I also got the lobster roll which was also tasty but knowing what I know now, I would've gotten more oysters. And the crudo and prawns?? Not to be missed! The crudo was simply dressed with olive oil, salt, lemon and capers and it's exactly what you need to enhance but not overpower the natural flavor of the seafood. This is now a must-visit next time I'm in LA.

If you’re looking for a religious experience — skip your Sunday church plans and come directly to the house of happiness, found oyster. An east coast vibe that brings LA the thing we’ve been missing, epic raw bar. A must visit, it’s on my shortlist for anyone coming to LA. And the team are some of the nicest and most interesting people you might ever meet! 🙏🏽

What a wonderful seafood joint to have in the neighborhood! This was my first visit since it first opened before COVID. Love it. I actually tried to stop in a couple of times, but the wait was too long. I finally went at opening and it was already crowded (on a Sunday). Great fresh seafood! I had epic meal for one person, with scallops, spot prawn, clams, collar, and uni service!

As a woman from Boston I can say that this is by far the best most authentic New England seafood I have had in Los Angeles! The fish is so fresh and every bite is flavor packed to perfection ! I recommend the Baywatch Platter Yellowtail Collar, Crudo, smoked trout dip and whatever Chelsea recommends. 12/10. Don’t miss out Shout out to our waitress Chelsea. By far the most knowledgeable hospitable server I’ve had in LA! Thank you Chelsea

Overall, a wonderful experience with a great vibe that felt like a mix of East Coast charm and a London-style atmosphere. We ordered fresh oysters, grilled blue prawns in butter, the cod sandwich with a side of fries, and the lobster roll with fries. Everything was very tasty, though slightly saltier than our preference. The portions were a bit small for the price. While it’s definitely on the pricey side, the quality and ambiance made it enjoyable, and we would come back again.

Baywatch Platter is always a great choice! My favorite oysters this time were the Schoodies. Not sure if they're available every time or if it's different every time. Great service too!

We bellied up of course. A front row seat to expert shucking and being taken care of, this is always the feeling I’m after. Started with half a dozen Vinlands, they were elite. Clam Chowder also elite and well appointed with Westminster Bakers Co crackers which are the best oyster cracker, facts. Fries were solid. Fried Cod sandwich was fine but flavors and texture of the stack left something to be desired. Will defs go back it’s a delight and they got that good ice.

Incredible service, so attentive and did their best despite dinner rush Very expensive and the place is pretty tiny and cramped The raw oysters themselves are underwhelming bc they are tiny, flavorless, didnt have cocktail sauce, and $4-5 each (from cape cop)- wouldn’t recommend Deep fried oysters- very fresh and good, but tiny portions Cod sandwich- really good, very fresh, recommend, wish the fries also came with garlic aioli Dirty martinis- good! Good price for them too Chowder- delicious

PARKING Metered parking until 8pm street parking around the neighborhood seems like it's permit only. CUSTOMER SERVICE Service was nice from the different staff members. FOOD: - Chowdaaa was okay, but SUPER watery like a soup. Unique but not a fan, hard PASS. - Fried cod sandwiches were fresh and soft. Thick and fresh, a decent semi-small size. WORTH THE TRY Oysters were amazing (Mere point and Raspberry point) AMAZING Fat & Flour keylime was amazing not to mention they are a tiny pie shop inside Grand Central Market. AMAZING DISAPPOINTMENT I dislike when restaurants do this without telling you beforehand and properly communicating it. 20% service charge fee was automatically added to the bill which equaled $30+ on a $200 tab $30 (service fee) + $17 tax = $47 alone which is crazy!

This an LA gem, great food excellent service. We started with an Arnold Palmer drink, then we ordered the scallop tostadas, the scallops was fresh and firms and the basil added lots of flavors. Also the clam chowder was packed with clams and it was delicious. The crude plate was prepared with fresh tuna yummmmy! Lots of variety to choose from. The price also was great for LA area. You should try it.
