Opinions de Gaby's Mediterranean Los Angeles
Best fast food Greek place in town. Quick and friendly service. Prices are excellent. Plus, there are many Gaby's locations around town to grab a quick, fresh, tasty, healthy bite.
Number one spot absolutely the best!!
Gaby's provides tasty, fresh, reasonably priced food - consistently! Excellent service too, especially for us regulars. Makes the less than stellar atmosphere a doable trade off.
I used to live near here & ordered take-out from Gaby's often. Their hummus is to die for & I really enjoy the "Bruce's Zatar Pizza". I also like the fact that they often have dinner specials...but you usually have to ask. I've been meaning to check out the Marina location, as I live near there now. Great food!
Great hospitality from the owner. authentic middle eastern food, hooka and live Arabic entertainment! Great prices too! We had the nicest waitress, ask for Claudia! will come back again most definitely.
The beef shawerma here is my favorite! An outstanding taste and a better service. They even once sent Baklava on the house when I ordered on Doordash and one of the items were unavailable (Including replacing the item with another of my choosing).
Great fresh food! My favorite is the kabob combo, but everything I've tried is delicious. I love their sesame and herbs dip for the pita. If you're around, you should definitely try it.
Big expansive, but still homely real Mediterranean feeling is what I experienced. Very friendly manager, even though it was quite busy when we came in for lunch. I got the Groupon offer too, which paid for the dessert.
So good! I had a chicken schwarma and my wife had the creamy lemon mahi mahi. The grape leaves and rakakat were the perfect starters. Just in town for a visit but will eat here again the next time.
Exactly what it says on the tin: Mediterranean food, cooked well. The fool (bean stew) was perfect, and the two salads they made for my wife were so large, we have leftovers for tomorrow. They're only allowing takeout at this time; I appreciate that they're not spreading COVID.
O M Geeee...food here is so tasty and fresh! Owner and staff are total GEMS! We really enjoyed our dine in experience today; thank you for taking such good care of us! As we were leaving, we noticed fresh tomato plants out back which we can only assume are being grown by the owner. Very cool; we will be back!!
It's good quality food
My first time and I really enjoyed it. Food was delicious and service was great.
Good food, good service, good prices. There was an excellent jazz band and singer. What a treat! Bring your own wine or beer (no extra charge). Lovely place to celebrate a birthday with a complimentary baklava dessert.
Food is always good! They have a VIP reward program that gives you 1 free chicken shwarma for every five visits. My boyfriend and I visited Gaby's on a rainy day and they served everybody a hot soup on the house! Staff is efficient and friendly! It is our usual spot and we usually visit once a week, highly recommend if you want a quality and fast Mediterranean meal.
I went here today. Food was good, services was also good and the prices very reasonable. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I never give out that many. The prices were reasonable too. I went here because it was very highly recommended by a friend. Great place to eat at.
I love all the Gaby's locations, but this one especially is great. They just gave me a drink while I am waiting for my food to-go! Figured the least I could do is leave a review after all the times I've eaten here. Lots of reasonably healthy options - I especially like their creamed spinach. Good for dipping with pita ;) Thanks guys!
Delicious and made with love. I enjoy my meal with each bite, especially Baklava. Thank you
Really nice. Great hooka at a very good price . Food was great. I'm very fussy with Arabic food. This was great and good value. Love the fact you can bring a bottle of wine with you to enjoy. Live music was happening also when we visited which was very nice
The manager or owner was very kind. The employees are awesome! Fresh food and reasonable prices.i had a problem only one time on an order larger than my normal.I became very upset with the treatment from the employee's, until I spoke with the owner he offered me one free meal with one purchased.Only thing is I didn't use it right away. When trying to use it three weeks later, no one could find the offer🙄nor remember oh well I had to let it go. I'm still a customer to this day! L❤VE me some Gaby's!!! 3/1/19 Today I've been trying to place an online order for a hour, today you lost me as a long time customer!
Gaby's Express current 5 star rating is well deserved! Highly recommend this establishment to all! I ordered a Greek salad, Gyro Plate, and a slice of baklava. The meat was cooked perfectly and flavorful, and was served with fresh tzatziki and spicy house sauce. But what was the best part of the meal?? THE BAKLAVA!! Get some, you won't be disappointed!
The food is fresh, the service is good, the atmosphere is simple but sophisticated and never pushy. My favorite dishes are the Vegetable Soup (a Zesty Tomato and Lemon Broth with Potatoes, Carrots, Cabbage, Onion and Broccoli), The Beef Kaftka (Minced, Seasoned Beef in Baked Rolls), and their Chicken Dishes are Excellent. I also recommend the Chicken Soup (the chicken is tender and wonderful).
I love this place. It my roommate's and my hangout after work. The service is great, the food is great and the hookahs are great. Also, the live music really sets the atmosphere. If you looking for a nice classy place to wind down and smoke a little hookah, Gaby's is the place to be.
If you're in the mood for really good Middle Eastern food, Gaby's should be your first stop. Everything is deeelicious. We had the lamb and beef kuftah kabob. All was cooked to perfection from the start to the finish. We ordered the grape leaves as a starter. So good. The servers were friendly and made sure to see to our every need. All in all we spent a very enjoyable evening at Gaby's.
Delicious food and excellent table service. Lots of vegetarian items on the menu. My husband and I went there for dine-in last month. We didn’t see any other customers dining there (I’m not sure whether most people even aware that this restaurant is now offering dine-in with full table service) and the staff there were taking orders for takeout. We were promptly seated at a table and given menus. Service was very fast and efficient. My husband and I were the only customers dining there. We found that the dine-in service in this restaurant is great. All the rest of you, please be aware that full table-service dine-in is now back in Gaby’s! So please come here with your friends and family for an in-person table service dinner instead of ordering takeout or delivery!
First time here after passing it by for 20 years. Mohammed was our server - so amazing and kind and had great recommendations! Food was superb and fresh. Very tasty.
It's a nice place, no rushing, food was fabulous,
Charlotte was a great server, great fresh food. New favorite casual Mediterranian spot
I really like this place. Its one of our favorite spots - the ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because sometimes (not every time) the falafel is a little dry. But when they make it fresh, it’s damn good! The staff is friendly and the cooks are really awesome. It’s a good chain for some healthier Mediterranean food. I wouldn’t call it “authentic” but if you’re in the mood for Mediterranean and trying to watch your intake, it’s a good place to go. Prices are decent if you’re getting the veggie or chicken, but can run a little higher if you’re getting beef or lamb (understandably so). What their grape leaves lack in size they make up for in flavor. They’re not standard size, but they’re so good! I also LOVE that the pickled radishes are set out to get as many as you want at their condiments bar. You know what? I’ll give them 5 stars just for that. It totally makes up for the occasional dry falafel.
Always order food here both for myself and my staff via catering. Always delicious and the employees are friendly. Gaby is great
Best Armenian Style Rice Pilaf, I've had since, I moved here five years, ago! With Vermicelli, and no Saffron, or other spices, added! All Kebabs were delicious. Next best thing to Grilling on an open flame, on Organics Grape Wood, from the rural Fresno area! Thank you, for the fantastic food! I'll be ordering again! 💞
Excellent chicken, hummus, rice & the fries was made just the way I like it. Service was fast & the servers are nice & friendly. I rated the atmosphere 4 star because it is just that.
I had not been there in years. The workers there were very nice. I had a slight problem with my order and they were super accommodating. It wasn't there fault but mine. Tried the lemon chicken, I don't remember the proper name, but it was so flavorful. Will be going again .😁
Oh my gosh, if you don't know about this restaurant, you've been missing out. We are from northern California, and the 1st thing we do when we get into town is eat here. At least 3 times in the week were visiting . My favorite is the combo plate, which comes with 3 different skewers of meat. The white garlic sauce is to die for. All the food is great! This is a must!! Enjoy!!!
I feel like the one that was on Jefferson years ago was better, but I absolutely ♥️ Gaby's!
Thank you for the delicious Lebanese food. I will definitely come often since the new manager brings a lot of good energy and takes care of the customers well. He knows how to deal with people and all the dishes the restaurant offers.
Gaby’s Mediterranean is honestly amazing. The food is super fresh and full of flavor — the hummus and shawarma are crazy good. The place has a really welcoming vibe, and the staff is always friendly. Every time I go, it hits. Definitely one of my favorite spots.
Absolutely delicious and the waiters and cook is so nice. I always eat at the restaurant and take my leftovers to go which I eat the next day for lunch. I always get either the rotisserie chicken or lemon chicken. Both are so delicious!
We had never eaten at Gaby's but it sure sounded good. We had a lovely patio table and Charlotte took our order. Wow! Za'atar with pita bread was amazing and she even brought us more. Our son had the salmon with creamy sauce which came with delicious rice and a big salad - amazing. My husband loved his lamb dish which also came with a big salad and the same yummy rice. I had Judy's salad which was fresh and tasty along with the chicken. Charlotte brought us garlic yogurt which was superb! We had a lovely meal at a decent price and the warmth of our server made it especially nice. My husband asked for some homemade baklava which gift to him as a first-time customer and lover of Mediterranean food and culture. We will be back for sure! Many, many thanks!
Casual Mediterranean full service restaurant. The seating area is under a protected tent. There are booths as well as regular tables with chairs. No air conditioning. Food was really tasty. The zatar appetizer arrived first with pita bread and oh my, beautifully presented and tasty. I loved my Greek Salad. My husband ordered the Chicken Kafta Kabob , Two skewers of grilled seasoned ground chicken mixed with parsley, onions and spices. It came with a side salad, tzatziki, grilled tomato and onion. He loved it! The service was on point with a smile! Thank you!! Free parking on the lot.
If only my salad didn't look so sad I'd give this a 5-star. I will be returning because the food was indeed pretty good, the service is good and there was plenty of space to choose from in regards to sitting.
The food is amazing. Try the salmon! Delicious! Grape leaves! Yum! All is wonderful. Service is A+! The chef treated mom like his own grandma! So appreciated!
Literally the best food ever! The chicken is so flavorful and moist. Pita bread is fresh and goes well with the garlic sauce. Great customer service and atmosphere. I eat here at least 3 times a week and I love it!
From the first time I came to Gaby's over a year ago, I've ALWAYS received amazing service and I always feel like a queen. The food is always cooked to perfection and made with love. Joe the manager is always so kind and always wows me with the food presentation. It's obvious he takes a lot of pride in his work. Also each time I go there are always improvements made to the restaurant which look very nice. Oh! The hookah is very good quality too, it's flavorful and not harsh like it can be at other places; not once did I cough with it. Very enjoyable. If you're looking for for good food that's always fresh and cooked to perfection with great service, go to Gaby's. I usually get the lemon salmon and chicken kabobs.
The Eggplant Moussaka was AMAZING! Sooo good, like a home cooked meal. I can’t remember the last time I had a baklava this good. It was so flavorful, filled with nuts & the dough so crispy. A must with any meal. Can’t Waite to go back to try more dishes. Also the service was very helpful, knowledgeable & polite.
Phenomenal service by two VERY busy guys behind the counter! Lalo and Moe went above and beyond to make sure my dinner was fabulous. It shows the level of care and dedication. Perfectly cooked Salmon, Tabouleh, Hummus, grilled vegetables, rice and garlic sauce! Dinner was EXCELLENT. Thank you!
Been coming to Gaby's for over 6 years and although they have gone through some changes in terms of appearance and not being able to smoke hookah in the restaurant, their quality of food remains excellent. Very reasonably priced, you can get a pita wrap for under $8. But you should order hummus and taboulih for the table to share, the wraps do not come with much sauce. They do offer options for large groups with family style sharing plates. BYOB - corking fee is less than $5 for the night. There is a liquor store next door. Cannot smoke hookah in the restaurant anymore but they do have an outdoor patio with about 10 seats where you can indulge. They have a garlic sauce that is the most garlicy garlic sauce I have ever had. It's so pungently delicious and too much leads to heartburn.
Too Many Problems just for Simple Mid Eastern food. But, I spoke with the General Manager about them, and he assured Me, that Moving forward, there will be alot of rewarding changes within the Restaurant and Menu... and that he is doing everything in his Power to correct the Customer Service culture of things, in turn the food will have a better effect and atmosphere as well... Good job Amine! 👍🏼 And Thanks for the REFUND. 😉
We always order the half rotisserie chicken which comes with a home made excellent garlic sauce and another sauce for which I have no name other than simply delicious! The happy choice of 3 sides and I always get the extra salad. The service is quick, kind and attentive. I've been to this location 4 times now with a friend who has been going there for many many years. If you want a great piece of chicken with the most intensely outrageous garlic sauce and a comfortable open atmosphere, this is a wonderful place. It is reasonably priced to boot! And of course if you must have a sweet, order the baklava.
BYOB and the free dip with pita bread = best aspects of this place. Service really is hit or miss. And on certain nights they have a live band which is a nice touch to the ambiance. Food is good, not great. I love the beef shawarma pita wrap which comes with a side of either fries or salad, all for under 7 bucks!
Gaby's used to be my go-to hookah spot but recently they only serve hookah if you get food as well. I think this rule is kind of pointless since the hookah is pretty expensive on its own and not of really significant quality anyway. I'm still giving 4 stars because they have a half chicken rotisserie plate that seriously competes with any other chicken plate in the city. It comes with amazing sides and is so popular that sometimes by the early evening its done. If you want to go to Gaby's always call in advance to ask if they have any chicken left, or else its a waste of your time. That's how good the damn chicken is.
Great for late night dinning and they can accommodate large groups. Unique with street like ambience, occasional live music. Prices are reason, the food is good. Parking is limited. My only complaint is the service can be slow, but everyone is very friendly.
Friend and I came here because I was craving Mediterranean food while visiting Venice beach. Service was quick and my order of the chicken kebob plate had good portions and tasted good. I especially liked the garlic butter at this location.
Very clean. Food was good. However, I would have preferred if the lamb was hotter. It was quite cool by the time it came to me. Also, needed more spices. Waiter was very prompt and refilled my water on time. Prices were excellent!
Great food. Reasonable prices. Very relaxed atmosphere. Easy parking and good service.
4 1/2 *'s; The food is healthy, Very tasty, the location (Washington Blvd & La Cienega) is at the 💚 Culver City's Art's 👩🎨 district were some of the best art Galleries in Los Angeles are located. Close to Helms district & Sony movie studios. The lamb plate w humus, rice, & salad is yummy 😋 👩🍳 too :)
Most of the dinners were great at our table. Mine was a bit dry. The man in the kitchen made us homemade salad dressing and it was great! But wait! Updating my review! This time I ordered to go: cilantro salmon, which is pan fried with lots of diced veggies in sauce. So tender and juicy. It’s a large portion and you can substitute extra salad for the rice, And that’s big too. The lady is very nice!
Place was slowe but somehow it took 35 min to get our food. I got the kabob combo and the meat was dry and room temp. Not sure why? Was it sitting there and the servers were too busy chatting that maybe didn't realize it had been ready. Anyway the best thingin my plate was the rice and ypgurt sauce. Not at all impressed for my first visit. My boyfriend and fellow friends thought the same .
Came here with a friend who lives in the area and gets food from here all the time. She usually gets stuff to go and I can see why. It's got a decent amount of seating for a small place, but you don't hang out for the ambiance. Plus, the ceiling fans were on full blast, and it got a little chilly for us. Luckily, the food was good. I had their 1/2 chicken combo with hummus and rice and got a side of falafel--the chicken was tender and juicy, the hummus smooth and creamy, and the falafel crispy, can't ask for much more.
Been eating here for years. Recently the chicken shawarma has been mostly grisly & now only one pita instead of two or three. Was told I now have to request more than one. Love the rice & hummus, & chicken shawarma when not grisly .
It's really hard to give Gaby's a 3 star rating. The rating is entirely for the food. It would have had 5 stars if it weren't for the service. And, if I were rating on service alone it would slip down to two stars. The food is that great that it gets 3 anyway. Food: There are so many choices for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians that it makes this place a great place to go with all of your friends. The food is fresh, the rice is amazing, and I cannot get enough of the hummus or the garlic spread (not sure of it's official name, it's white, it's pungent, and it's the best!) I've had both their chicken and beef kabobs and they are also good and their falafel is really good too. Service: ugggh. On a good day the service is slow. On a bad day the service is wretched in terms of slowness. On a really bad day the manager yells at your table because there are too many of you and it's YOUR fault that they can't get your food to you. Good day service example: You sit down, it takes 5 mins for someone to come and get your drink order, it then takes another 5 -10 minutes to get your bread and drinks and eventually the food comes. It's so delicious you don't really care too much. Bad day service example: you sit down and it takes 45 minutes to get your drinks and 1.5 hours to get your final check. Really bad day service: you go with a big group of co-workers and an admin has called in advance to get reservations. It takes 15 minutes to get menus. When food finally comes out with a few people getting their plates, and then 5 mins later a few more, 5 mins later a few more, and finally people are still sitting w/out food and others have completely finished you question the manger? assistant manager? about the issues with service. The person gets angry with you and explains that you never should have been served from the menu and for parties this big you only get catering! Then, why didn't you give us a catering menu and explain that when we sat down. Bottom line is -- there was some very very uncomfortable almost yelling from one of the management to one of our co-workers. On our side the co-worker just wanted some acknowledgement of the poor service. On the restaurant side they just wanted to tell us how horrible we were and how we didn't deserve any better because their were too many people to serve. I've never gone back to the restaurant since then. I am very happy, however, when someone from work decides to cater a lunch and uses Gaby's so I can eat it :) It's a shame that i feel so uncomfortable going to the restaurant :( I've been told that other locations are better.
I've been visiting Gaby's for more than a decade! The quality and consistency have returned to pre-pandemic levels over the past few months. Put differently, Gaby's is back! Judy's salad, one of my faves, is featured. There's also excellent lemon chicken! Provision of services
I really wanted to give this a 5 stars. But after the pandemic, the lack of dine in service just can't let me rate it that way. Menu was incredible before, but now it changed. You order at the counter and they take to your table, in a miniscule paper plate that soaks with anything humid, along with plastic silverware... Yeah, hard to give a better rate right now, but it used to be a 5 in my book! The still have live music by the same great Japanese musicians, at least on Saturdays from 7pm!
Those is a chain for Mediterranean food that is hit or miss. I stop here often for their rotisserie chicken dinner meals that is well priced and not too bad. Their lamb dishes are just plain horrible and overcooked. Their side dishes like hummus and grape leaves are nothing special. I've been there a couple of times in the late afternoon to get their chicken special only to find out that the chicken would be another 1-2 hours. Don't know what happened there but since I've been there quite a few of times with no issues. Overall I would say this place is like a McDonalds for Mediterranean food.
We were looking for Mediterranean food so decided to try this place. Covered outdoor eating area was nice. Has beef shawarma pita wrap and lamb kebab wrap. Beef was tender but didn't have that traditional shawarma flavor. Lamb was nicely grilled but so full of tough gristle it was difficult to eat. Server was attentive. Side salad was generous with only red vinegar as a dressing.
I’ll be back when that B restaurant rating turns to an A I LOVE your food and used to eat here all the time, but knowing what it takes to get a B, I just can’t bring myself to eat here right now. I definitely miss your food though.
The Food is good, but is served late because there is only one waiter
Menu and portions have gone downhill. Big time. Portion sizes are smaller this year (2018) and menu selection is more limited than before. I used to love going here, multiple times per week, but won’t go anymore. Clearly, they’ve made menu and portion changes. I hope it works for them.
Not sure if I ordered the wrong thing. I got the chicken shawarma it was Meh 🫤 nothing exciting about it. Just ok. The naan wasn’t even naan and it was served cold. I really wanted to be good because it’s so close to me but it left much to be desired.
I purchased about $40 of food from here yesterday for a dinner with friends (I got a whole chicken, with pita bread and garlic sauce, 2 fatoush salads, and one order of falafel). The chicken was dry and without flavor. The salads were okay. My friend said she liked the falafel. The bread, and the garlic sauce, both had visible mold, so I threw them out. I am never going here again.
I was not impressed with the food or the two free dip/pita. A third dip will cost you $3. I didn't like the fact that my meats were DRY....overcooked. I guess I went when there were only two people working in the dining area. I will not return for another meal. I should have kept driving to the valley for food.
I went for lunch special. Half a roasted chicken with two side dishes. Well unfortunately they did not offer lemon chicken on the special. The half chicken was quite average with a slightly sour smell that is reminiscent of funky chicken from Ralph's market. Very cheap chicken. Very Bland. The garlic sauce that was on the side was the only thing that made it possible. The side dishes were average. Unfortunately I probably will not go back there Service I usually don't comment on however the waiters both mentally vacant hyper were barely present.
food is great, customer service is terrible; they forget side orders, send discount coupons that don’t work, and if you call to let them know, they either tell you to call at another time or try to convince you that they are right (and you are wrong). one too many times… this is how you lose a customer (who used to order almost every week)
Went today a Saturday morning/Lunch. Ordered a combo kebob plate. Food come out on time. But my kebobs were very cold in the middle. HOW can you serve another man a cold kebob. Tasted like it wasn't fresh, either microwaved or frozen then warmed up. I was really disjointed and disappointed in the food today. I will never go back again. I can't believe I paid over $23 for that! Maybe other food on menu is better but stay away if you're coming for a kebob experience. My stomach has been acting up today since I ate the food as well. Maybe i just came on the wrong day I don't know how other reviews are so good.
Need more help/workers. Chicken is not what it use to be definitely not tasty. Rice is terrible. Pita bread missing from bag. Garlic sauce was not fresh. Seems like place has declined and has not kept up with freshness and quality. La Cienega & Washington location
Have been coming here for years, and sad to say it gets worse every time. After my visit today, I won't be going back. I ordered a shwarma pita, fries, and a soda. Came up to $15. Waited 26 minutes while people who ordered after me got their food. I finally went up to ask how much longer, and the cashier told me I hadn't been waiting that long (it was 26 minutes) and that the other people had "easy orders" so they got theirs first. A shwarma and fries isn't easy?? Got my money back and went to Zankou. In and out with better food for less $ in 4 minutes.
Ordered delivery for 3 items. I took several phone calls and 1 1/2 hours to get the food. It showed up cold, except for the salad; that was a wilted mush. We threw the entire meal in the trash and had left-overs from our fridge. Unfortunately we ordered online and tipped the driver ahead of time. We won't make this mistake again. ORDER FROM SOMEPLACE ELSE!!!
Food is GREAT!!! MY low rating is that I went to purchase 2 gift cards for a couple of friends..only to be told that they don't have a card or an envelope indicating GABY's Mediterranean. They were only able to provide a RECEIPT????? How Impersonal/Tacky is that in this current state of Technology? Honestly I had no choice than to purchase them & accept the 2 RECEIPTS. I truly hope that all goes well when my friends go to have lunch/dinner. Never again 💯👎💯👎💯👎💯 I love Gaby's Food that's why I purchased the receipts (not by choice) but because I truly wanted my friends to experience the Awesome Flavors of Gaby's Mediterranean Food. Please do better Gaby 🙏 PLEEEEEASE.
Just awful. I have been coming to Gabys for years. Yesterday my half chicken rotisserie plate was completely dried out, more similar to chicken jerky than chicken. Called the location and was told the manager would call me back. Still waiting for that but not holding my breath for the location to make it right.
Poor quality of food the amount ordered for a family get together was less than what I ordered for and when I called to advise to manager he promised me to refund partial which I wanted to be fair even though the food quality was bad and disappointing however I waited 7 days and he was just lying and I don’t have time to babysit as I am busy with work myself. So I’m warning people to please order some place else or becareful and triple Check and taste your order before to ensure quality and quantity is as you orders so you will not be embarrassed in front of your guests for less and poor quality food. Such a shame as the quality of service and food has dropped so terrible from this place as it’s not the same as it used to. So be careful what you order or look some place else to order food . Such a shame
Oh, my goodness...I don't know how this place is still open. And the people eating there must have no tastebuds. Their chicken is completely dry, the mac n cheese is sad and their salad is below basic. The only thing I enjoyed consuming there was the Barq's root beer from the fountain machine. The ladies at the cash register seemed pretty nice. I strongly suggest you do not eat here unless this the last place on earth. And if that's the case, demand a recount.
Disappointed. This one star was earned only by the poor little sweet girl that was trying her best as a server. Where do I start ... the FLIES! Oh my God! THE FLIES! Landed on EVERYTHING ew! And the food .... only a faint resemblance to Mediterranean cuisine. They brought us store-bought pitas - get this - still in the plastic bag! Appetite lost, left after a few bites. Gross! This used to be a lovely place but there is new management as of 2024, and you can tell the quality has gone down drastically! Will not be returning and do not recommend. Sorry. Hope that poor server gets a better job.
I hadn't eaten anything all day and came across this restaurant for lunch. Had ordered the chicken sharama pita wrap sandwich. Pretty swear where was the chicken???? There was a mix of cut up chicken I didn't recognize. So I ate the sandwich and later on that night i had the runs!!!! Food poisoning or something Never going back to this dirty restaurant.
This was my go-to place pre-covid when I was working in the studios. I hadn't been since then. I was in the area and decided to order my usual, a chicken shawarma wrap with a side salad. The chicken was dry and some pieces were tough to chew. The lettuce was wilted. The side salad also wilted and some lettuce was black and rotted and the salad was inedible.
So sad when a place doesn’t have it together. I was a big fan of Gaby’s. I would get their shawarma plate with salad and hummus many times. But today, I went in and I was told that I could only get salad and rice. I’m hungry and wanted the plate I had last week and I’m not going to fight for it so I got up and left. There are soooooo many other restaurants to choose from. I was a solid customer who now will never eat at Gaby’s again. The place I’m sure will be condemned anyway soon. Don’t eat here.
I ordered falafel and shawarma. I specifically said no pickles, but there was pickles in both of my wraps. Who puts onion with falafel?! the falafel was flavorless, and dry. The shawarma was nothing authentic with an odd sauce and the bread was dry and clearly stored for over a week. The cashier person was inattentive. Horrible experience.
