Opinions de Louise's Trattoria Los Angeles
Family run Iranian restaurant with good selection of vegetarian options. The pasta and the vegetables are fresh with full of flavor and taste. The service was excellent and easy to find parking .However, the Cacio e Pepe had too much lemon juice and it was overpowered by the sourness and thus lost the true taste if Cacio e Pepe. Until the chef changes the recipe, suggest not to ordered this highly lemony pasta .
Louise's Trattoria is the crown jewel of Larchmont, embodying all the qualities that make Larchmont so special. A throwback to the fifties' ethos of personal service, the wait staff's attitude evinces the pride and engagement one would normally expect only from an owner. Danny (pictured) is one of five waiters I've had here who are truly exceptional. When you eat here, you will feel like a personal friend of the house. The food is outstanding. I highly recommend the outdoor brunch. The French toast and the eggs Benedict are my favorites. Come to Louise's. You'll be glad you did.
Came here for a quick bite was greeted quickly and sat down. Love the setting here and was clean. We started with an appetizer of 'Nonna's Meatball' which was really good. Hot and fresh topped with plenty of Parmesan cheese. The bread on the table was really good with the little dabble of oil to go with it. We also ordered a 'BBQ Chicken Pizza' which was really, really good. The crust was just perfect not too soft and not too crunchy just the way I like it. The server was attentive and came by to check on us to make sure everything was good. If your shopping around here would recommend 100%.
I share this with the most spontaneous discovery of this place. The ambiance of this whole street and the restaurant's outdoor dining area were really nice! Came by on a Wednesday afternoon, ambiance was amazing, there was a live music nearby. We sat outside and were served delicious cubes of bread. I can't recommend enough Pappardelle & Italian Sausage, so creamy and rich, except I customized with shrimp instead and no spice (just a heads up the shrimp alternative was $9 extra for like three to four on the plate). Nevertheless, genuinely I have not tasted a pasta sauce this good. Food came in quick. Definitely coming back to have the same as well as try the tiramisu, as there was no appetite left after this delicious plate.
My old time favorite restaurant. When I feel like having pasta or just because I come here either dine in or take out. Today I had to take out and ordered just for dinner. Good service, good food. I got my rewards too that I used, thanks to the manager who assisted me, I didn’t know I earned that much already. It’s also close by for me that’s one thing I like. 👍🏻I love their tiramisu too, yummm.
Don’t get me started about this place. I’ve only traveled to LA like 2-3 times and I have eaten here 3 times. I brought my friends this past time and they CLEANED their plates. Their fettuccine alfredo is the BOMB. I mean everything they have is good, but that’s what I always good. Chefs kiss to this place.
Really enjoyed eating here; food and service was great. I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts, I would pass on the pizza. Next time I’ll try a pasta dish and a cocktail.
So good we came back the next night with our kids! If you go Monday through Thursday evenings they have a great deal. $25 for a full meal- soup or salad, choice of one of around 8 entrees and tiramisu. The staff is friendly and there is outdoor seating as well. They even have reasonably priced bottles of wine- so all in all a perfect spot for Italian food. Don't forget to try the focaccia bread too - it's delicious!
I have always loved eating at Louises’. The service is good, the food is a well thought out and curated menu of American Italian comfort food. When you eat here, you know the food will be good and comforting. I sure wish there was still one in Pasadena, but we do have Maria’s Italian Kitchen and she is Louises’ Mom.
Great location and ambiance. The menu has lots of choices. Delicious food and the best focacia bread! I had a glass of malbec. It was so smooth. I tried the angel hair pasta with a pesto and vegetable sauce. Fabulous!

Went to Louise's yesterday for the first time with family from out-of-town. Called at the last minute for a party of 9. We arrived shortly after to a table set and ready for us. The food was excellent, and the service even better. The staff was attentive and friendly. We were in great hands with our excellent waiter. The staff, including the manager(owner?), pitched in as well. Their collaboration added a nice family-feeling to the atmosphere. Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS! It was a great meal and a great experience. Highly recommend!
Best place ever. I always feel like I’m home when I eat here and the staff remembers you. It’s got amazing eggplant parm too. And the chop salad is addictive
I adore Louise’s Trattoria. The food is great and they treat you like family. My fave spot in LA to have a chill dinner. You can sit inside in a comfy booth or sit outside and enjoy the street life of Larchmont. My fave dish is the Garlic Shrimp pasta, but I get it without garlic. Kudos to the kitchen for accommodating that request. The staff is an absolute delight, and we look forward to seeing them and catching up. So thankful for this cozy, welcoming neighborhood restaurant!

Hands down this was the BEST sit down meal we have had on our 3 1/2 week USA holiday (San Fran, Las Vegas, Anaheim and LA) My son and I had the Braised Short ribs with garlic mashed potato, carrots and a red wine gravy. My wife had Garlic Shrimp and pasta. All our meals were top notch. Definitely recommend eating here.
Braised short rib sauce was rich, and the short rib was tender. It paired well with the mashed potatoes. But, the carrots on the side were barely cooked, which was disappointing. Garlic Shrimp was fresh, and the flavour was simple. The seasoning was a bit light, so adding salt would help if you prefer a stronger taste. The balance between the angel hair pasta and cream was good. I also liked the cocktail menu. Both the Pink Lady and the Classic Margarita were easy to drink.
Great food ,service and location. We stopped by for brunch, 5 people , excellent . Waiter David was great. Seated quickly, served fast. Outstanding house bread.

This spot feels well paced and intentional. The environment isn’t loud or distracting, and the energy stays consistent throughout. Staff handle things smoothly without drawing attention to themselves. It’s a place that feels dependable, where everything works as it should without unnecessary extras.

The restaurant is small, so I think it's easily packed & difficult to walk through during a Saturday evening. They do have outside seating, but it was a little too cold for me, so inside it was. The server was clearly overwhelmed but still nice, his perceived panic and racing around put me in a panic, so I opted not to ask too many questions and just proceed with my order (this is a me issue, not his fault). I ordered brick pressed chicken and garlic mashed potatoes. I opted to remove the mushrooms and artichokes. The meal came out in a timely manner, was hot, and looked delicious. Unfortunately, the chicken wasn't seasoned, which is a pet peeve of mine. It seems like a lot of restaurants depend on the sauce to flavor the meat, but that generally fails, and it honestly is disappointing. The mashed potatoes didn't have significant flavor either; the bread was the best thing I ate. I believe the meal was $33 with a tip (no drink), which isn't that bad for a meal I really enjoy, but this was average or below, so I won't likely eat her again unless someone else is paying. However, I wouldn't discourage anyone from going because it can be a vibe, and I'm very picky!
Showed up at 5pm on a Sunday, crowded which was a good sign. Was sat down in two (2) minutes. Ordered the chicken parm and lasagna with side cesar salad. Was a great meal but something was not right about the chicken parm. House made bread was excellent!
The place was great. But the service was very slow. Our server wasn't attentive to our table. It took a pretty long time for them to come and take our order. But the food was pretty

The shrimp scampi pasta was tasty and pizza was appetizing but the hostess was trying hard to be nice in the beginning but the dislike attitude toward customers was very obvious. One of the server was very attentive and nice but OUR server only showed up when it was to get our check. She greeted the guests who were seated after us. Some of the reviews are on point with the service they received.
Ordered food to go. When I picked up my food and went to my car they forgot one of the main dishes. We went back in to let them know they forgot a dish and they looked surprised. They let the cook know and he was upset that he had to stop and make the missing dish. Once I got the dish and got home the dish wasn't even what we ordered. They gave some noodles with garlic, no sauce or the pepper flakes. They also didn't pack any napkins or plastic wear to eat the food. Bad experience overall. I recommend to check your order thoroughly as they don't.
