Opinions de Oo-Kook Korean BBQ Los Angeles
Wow I was quite impressed with this AYCE kbbq. Their meat quality is pretty top tier. Their beef brisket and beef belly isn’t anything extraordinary but I was so amazed by their rib eye, filet mignon, marinated beef, and other cuts such as pork jowl as well. Their jigaes were great and banchan was solid too. Service was amazing and quick only downside was the floor was super super greasy so very slippery
5 Stars – Best AYCE Korean BBQ in LA! Oo-Kook Korean BBQ is hands down one of the best AYCE Korean BBQ in LA! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a spotless, well-kept dining space. The service is top-notch—friendly, attentive, and always making sure your grill is fresh and your table is stocked. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely incredible. The LA Galbi is out of this world—perfectly marinated, incredibly tender, and bursting with flavor. The brisket? Juicy, melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The quality of the meat here is unmatched for AYCE. On top of that, they serve a huge variety of Banchan, all fresh and flavorful, making every bite even better. If you’re looking for high-quality meats, amazing service, and an all-you-can-eat feast done right, this is the place to go. 10/10, will be back!
Oo Kook offers a wide variety of unlimited Korean BBQ options. On weekdays, you can enjoy their Happy Hour special from 5-7 PM at just $30 per person. However, the Happy Hour period tends to be very busy, making parking and securing a table a challenge. Even with valet parking, I had to wait a while to park, and the parking fee is $4. Considering the affordable price for unlimited options, the quality of the meat and food is excellent. Despite the busyness, the staff provided quick and attentive service. In a time of rising prices, their affordable Happy Hour makes this place worth 5 stars!
What an amazing experience. The host was quick and pleasant, our waiter Bryan was absolutely wonderful. He was quick and always able to help. He went above and beyond! On top of the amazing service was amazing food. The quality of the meat and the seasoning/marination was the best we’ve had by far. Parking can be tough but $4 for valet is not bad for the bargain of a great ayc meal and service.
Oo Kook is a favorite staple of a couple of friends and mine when it comes to KBBQ in the heart of KTown, and there are several reasons for it: 1. It's seating layout is so well-made that you're never in the way of anyone else. 2. Nice aluminum chopsticks. Such a nice touch that you seldom see at these kind of places! 3. AYCE KBBQ! But truly AYCE. To the point that, when first got here this time around, my friend asked the server for extra banchan from the get-go and the accommodated our request! 4. Last time I came here, they did not have fishcakes, but they do now! Love having them expand and improve the menu on their own volition. 5. All of the cuts are fresh and of high quality. You never feel like you're eating 2nd-grade meat. 6. They have valet parking (please bring cash) OR street parking nearby is also an option! These are just some of the reasons that keep us coming here. Top-notch service too!
Service here was really strong. The servers are so attentive and really fun to talk to. Very speedy too. The food was also great for the price. Very affordable for all you can eat in LA. Be sure to come hungry. The meets were great and everything came out amazingly. I would wish that they had more than three main sauce options because I love yum yum sauce but overall the options they had were still good. I would definitely come back here and am very glad I chose to come
Great all you can eat Korean BBQ! The meat is fresh, land tender. One of the best kimchi soup I’ve had, very flavorful, a must try! You get 90mins to eat and you can order up to 4 plate at a time. The waiters are very fast picking up empty plates on the table. My only complain would be there’s no ventilation system, the air only travels out with open windows. $37/person. Pretty good deal.
Food: The meat selection is huge. 26 different types of meat to choose from. 6 side dishes with hidden dishes. Service: Our waiter was amazing. He got us everything in a timely manner. They also help you cook and constantly repool lace the grill. Pricing: All you can eat goes for $30. $5 cheaper on the weekdays during lunch. $37 for the additional black angus short rib. Parking: $2 valet parking. There is street parking, but you will need quarters. Might as well just pay the valet guy. There is plenty of valet parking. Amentities: There is seperate restroom for men and women. Restroom is well maintained. Free tap water Ambience: The outside doesn't reflect the inside. The outside looks old and run down. There is a waiting area that looks like it hasn't been maintained in awhile. The inside is a different story. Very elegant inside. They have a bunch of booth with leather seats. Very comfortable. Lightning is excellent with a romantic feeling.
I love it I love it! I don't think Korean BBQ will ever be the same anymore for me. The food was SO good. SO tender. SO juicy. I would say though paying extra for the 3 extra dishes wasn't worth it though. The base price you can already get the really good L.A. short ribs. You're allowed to order 3 meat dishes at a time, which was fine by me. The orders come pretty quickly too. I also really enjoyed the bean stew, since it was like a comfort food. There's no dessert though from what I remember, so if you're choosing a place based on free ice cream, this is not the place. But if all you want is high quality meat, Oo Kook got it.

Check out my pic, here's everything you get the second you sit down. Call button service, hospitable staff, most meat variety for a kbbq place. Note: Cash valet or street parking. My favorite!
My favorite KBBQ spot in La \nEasy to make a reservation \nBest meats \nAnd quick and friendly staff\nHighly recommend !
There was no limit on how many meat you can order at a time. The service was quick with bringing out the meat, despite it being kinda busy on a Sunday at 3pm. There is parking, but it's only valet …
Had a late Saturday lunch at 4 pm with our large group. It wasn't too busy at this time, but for our size of 9, they did had to split us into two tables next to each other of 4 and 5. No automatic gratuity for us though. The cost was $37.99 per person. For both tables, we ordered the brisket, chuck flap, ribeye, steamed egg, honeycomb pork belly, beef short rib, and filet mignon. We really enjoyed the filet mignon, beef short rib, chuck flap, and brisket and went back for seconds on our order. Service was pretty good, no complaints. We're definitely keeping this place in mind if we're back in the area for a large group meal. Only downside is no walkable boba spot nearby. They have valet parking, but you can also utilize street parking, if you can find a spot.
Came here for friends’s birthday and went for the $38 AYCE. A few thoughts/tips: - Meat quality was good and marinated well. Our favorites are short ribs, bulgogi, filet mignon, beef tongue. - Strong smoke throughout the room which makes dining experience less enjoyable. The vent is set too far away from the grill and so many tables in a closed setting. - You can only order 4 items between each order. We have a party of 6. Not convenient when you have to wait 15 mins in between for meat with a 90 min AYCE limit (although they do not enforce time limit strictly).
This was my first time experiencing Korean Barbecue and I really enjoyed it. Make sure you come hungry, as you want to get your money’s worth. I liked how many options they had for meat as well as fish and vegetables. The service was acceptable but definitely could’ve been better. I recommend making a reservation because the restaurant fills up quickly. If it’s your first time, I suggest you come with someone who knows what they are doing because the cooking can be a little daunting. The price was decent, but buying alcohol quickly drives up the total.
Came here right before LA announced the closure of outdoor dining. We were able to be seated right away and service was quick. It seemed like they really cared about sanitation because they used disposable plates, bowls and utensils so nothing is reused except for the tongs and grill. They also provided individual water bottles. The menu is accessed through a QR code. The meat options seem limited compared to other ayce kbbq restaurants in the area but the quality is great. We got a total of 2 orders of brisket, 2 orders of Kobe beef belly, and 2 orders of intestines for 2 people and it was more than plenty. We also got the salad and steamed eggs as sides. The beef slices came frozen but the intestines were not. The brisket was thinly sliced while the Kobe been belly slices were a lot thicker. Service was also great! We were able to order quickly and get a grill change without having to ask. The meat and sides also came out really fast. This has been one of my best out door dining experiences since the pandemic started.
I would have given this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the parking lot attendant. First, let me start by saying this place is great. All you can eat Korean BBQ is heaven. But at the same time it is $30 per person. For a family of 6 it came up to be quite expensive. I had 2 kids with me and when I asked the guy if kids had a discount it took him 2 minutes to respond with, "ok it's $16!" With that price should have been free parking, not a vallet with a rude guy charging $2 to move my car 3 feet. Waitors were kind of cold in the beginning but started to be nice later. You get your own grill and cook your own food as you wish. Experience was great, food was delicious. Also, no American Express cards accepted. 2019 folks and amount you charge will cover your Amex expenses.
This Korean BBQ establishment is ok. The service was not as good as other restaurants in the area but it got the job done. The valet parking was only two dollars the was a plus. The food portions for some of the menu items were very very small. I ordered the baby octopus and only got two very very small octos. I thought that was a little strange but I guess the freshness made up for it. They also had duck breast which was very good not very gamey at all. The rest of the food was also very flavorful and plesent. The staff came around often and would replace the grills frequently. The tables were big enough for two large men to sit side by side with enough space in between. The grills we're big, they could fit many servings of food. There were also very hot and cooked the food fast. The atmosphere was very relaxed and inviting. Overall the experience was good and positive. Will definitely come back and tell my friends about this place.

Hands down the worst Korean BBQ experience I’ve ever had. The hygiene was atrocious — filthy utensils and plates that looked like they hadn’t been properly washed in days. The meat was shockingly low quality, borderline spoiled with a funky smell and grayish tint that made us question whether it was even safe to eat. The steamed egg? 80% water and tasted like it was cooked in a chemistry lab — a weird, artificial flavor that lingered in the worst way. To top it off, the staff seemed completely uninterested and untrained — more like grumpy students forced into work than actual servers. Rude, inattentive, and borderline hostile. For two people, the bill somehow still came out to $150. The only redeeming factor was that they had parking… which still wasn’t free. Save your money, your appetite, and your stomach. There are way better options out there that won’t make you feel like you need a tetanus shot after dinner.
