Opinions de The Manchester Los Angeles
Instantly one of my favorite restaurants. From the food, drinks, decor, and ambiance - everything is honestly incredible and I can't wait to take more friends and family here. For a cocktail, try the Pop Culture or Lunar Circus. My favorite dishes are the clams, broccolini, steak, and burger. (The burger legitimately tastes like if In n Out were gourmet. It's so good.) It's vicinity to LAX also makes for a great pre/post-flight dinner spot!
Okay so first off, get your Hawaiian shirts ready for Saturdays! (You don't have to haha, but you should!) The Happy hour here is amazing, 3-6pm daily, even weekends! We had their $5 burger and it was magnificent, nice buttery potato bun, perfectly cooked beef and fresh tomato, just delicious. The Japanese BBQ meatballs were also so so so so good, super flavorful and the bonito just brings it to *chef's kiss* $6 beers and $10 cocktails as well, just really nice happy hour. Ask for Caitlin, she is super awesome!
Wow! Wow! Wow! Found this place through Yelp and it needs to be ranked higher!! When you drive by it, you’ll miss it. Go around again, yup, that black door. Go in. You’ll thank me later. Some of the most amazing food I’ve had in a LONG time. The bar selection is wonderful and lots to choose from. A quiet and very intimate place for dinner and drinks. Amazing for date night for us. But would be a great place to meet with friends as well.
Hidden cocktail bar with a hip vibe and tasty food. Both the vibe, food and drinks have depth to them. You can instantly tell this place is more than just your average bar around LA. Great HH deals too. Had the fried chicken sandwich and it was excellent. Two thin crispy breasts w tasty slaw, sauce and bun.
The Manchester is a local gem! The Manchester burger will transport you right back into the red plastic booths of the Bobs Big Boy of your youth (iykyk), and the cocktails are crafted by some of the best artists around. Behold the Manchester Seagull. Crisp, refreshing, a bit spicy and pure cocktail art.
Super cool restaurant, great service and awesome 80’s rock music. The food was excellent. Our server was terrific. He was named Bony. I would highly recommend the gem salad, the grilled broccolini and the salmon. And the Pecan Pie was Fabulous ! Excellent cocktails and wines.
I was picking up my nephew at LAX so I was looking for a great place nearby to bring him and the google reviews were very good, so we gave it a shot. Google reviews did not fail us. The food and service here is fantastic. We ordered their Featured Monthly Cocktail which was very refreshing and great opening to the dinner. Then we started with the Butter Lettuce Salad, simple but impressive. Everything was perfectly balanced, I would definitely order this again. And we also shared the Grilled Cauliflower, that was really out of this world. Then we had the Barramundi and the Ora King Salmon, both were cooked to perfection and came with idyllic accompaniments. For dessert we got the Flan and the Dark Chocolate Pots De Creme, the perfect way to end the experience. Besides the great food, the service was impeccable, something I'm not used to in LA. This place is a gem.
Great drinks, appetizers and food all at a reasonable price. I enjoyed the mushroom toast and salmon dinner and both are highly recommended. Staff is friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is reminiscent of older bars, both shadowy and inviting. The only negative I can find is I had to walk around the building twice to find this gem.
Service is some of the best I’ve had in LA! A friendly, knowledgeable bar staff that made great drinks. The Saturday night cocktail and food menu didn’t disappoint. Will definitely be back to this hidden gem.
We’ve been going here for a couple years… fantastic restaurant, the food and drinks are always spot on, staff and the owner are great, nice happy hour. There’s a small, cute patio in the back that is fun if you want to eat outside; the inside is dark and stylish — it’s that neighborhood bar/gastropub you’ve been looking for.
We spent the night in Los Angeles before flying overseas. This restaurant was only a couple miles from our hotel so we thought we'd try it. We had very good food and the staff was very friendly. The prices were pretty good especially for Los Angeles. It's kind of a hole in the wall local place which is what we love to find when we travel.
One of our favorite bars. Terrific bartenders!
We love this spot! They have DELICIOUS cocktails and wines and the vibes and food are perfect for folks looking for a mature yet fun environment. I can even bring my vegan friends and they're not bored by the options. It's so nice to have a local spot like this where I know I can bring my 35+ friends who want a sophisticated yet festive vibe - such a great spot for mixed company bc there's something for everyone.
The manager Brian is so nice, so is the entire staff. The food is also amazing every time- steak especially. Do not hesitate to try this!
Hung out with some friends for drinks and food, and the service and food were amazing. Fresh and delish. I had the burger and fries, and I also tried their chips.
We have not been to The Manchester in years but I looked at the menu and it looked interesting. Four of us booked a table and we were seated right away. This is a 'cozy' spot but comfortable. There are no windows and it is pretty dimly lit. Our server was quite friendly and helped with both the menu and wine selections. They have a wonderful bar and made one of the best Whiskey Sours (with egg white) that I have had. To start, we ordered the warm olives and Cadoro bread. Both were excellent. The warm olives were served with fennel and citrus. Very tasty. The grilled bread was served with a tasty tomato butter. We actually ordered two servings. I had a wonderful short rib stroganoff served on noodles. Other dishes were salmon ratatouille, chicken schnitzel and grilled broccolini. Everything was delicious. For desert, we had the dark chocolate pots de crème. Very chocolaty. Service was great and we were never rushed. Overall, a wonderful spot for a leisurely dinner. Definitely on the return list.
The Manchester is a great find while in the LAX region of town that will wash all the travel away from one who has either, landed, is en route to the airport, or God forbid, delayed. The sexy ambiance matches the diverse complex cuisine here. The beef tartare was phenomenal and paired with a Manhattan makes for a great starter. Danna was amazing as a server and the kind staff really knew their menu and how to deal with such a diverse local crowd. We shall definitely return to The Manchester with friends to celebrate and we have only begun to make you part of our LA experience.
Great spot for cocktails and dinner. It’s unassuming from the outside, but the vibe inside is great. The bartenders and servers are very friendly, and food is excellent. My favorite is the burger, but everything I have had is amazing. They also have a great happy hour menu from 4-6 I believe.
For my first time being here, the vibe was really nice. It’s my sisters birthday today so we went! We had a nice time. The drinks weren’t watered down! We ordered Mai Tai’s and margaritas with Shots. Food: I ordered the grilled cauliflower with oyster mushrooms. Sis ordered sichuan wings &. Fries. Friend ordered the burger 🍔 and Fries 🍟. I really loved the cauliflower and the avocado 🥑 Mousse sauce was great! The mushrooms could’ve been cooked longer to my liking. Wings had great flavor and the burger was decent. Small like in&out but pretty good. Fries. Crispy and good.
I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is flying in/out of LAX and wants a good meal before/after their flight! Had a great dinner here. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. We started with the oysters, they were very fresh and delicious. I had the stake frites as my main course. The meat was juicy “melt in your mouth” tender and cooked perfectly, seasoned to perfection as well as some really tasty french fries and salad. My friend had the king salmon which was also cooked to perfection and had a nice tasty garnish on it. We finished our meal with multiple cocktails.
I’ve been to several “speakeasies”, but this is the first one I thought “this looks suspect”. But in true speakeasy fashion, the slightly suspicious exterior contained a really nice bar within. I need to make one thing clear, I eat vegetables because they’re good for me not because I like them. That being said, I was OBSESSED with the vegetable apps here. The babe farm market vegetables and charred broccolini had no business being that good. Someone was actively trying to include me in conversation to which I took a pass. I can’t eat if I’m talking. The drinks were good and strong. There’s an interesting drink they make in a fish-shaped glass. It wasn’t to my taste, but the others in my party liked it and it seems to be popular. There is parking readily available behind the building.
We were looking for an evening bite after landing at 8pm and this place still had kitchen open at 9pm so we went. The food was amazing, way better than we expected. We got the tuna tartare and streak frites and everything about it was good, from the texture of the steak to the sauce. The entrance was also hard to find and we kept walking past it, a fun hidden door into a pleasant surprise. Loved it!

I was flying solo on a business trip so had the charred broccolini and steak frites at the bar. The meal was delicious, properly cooked and served hot. The service was good and they had an interesting assortment of grapes for their wine selection.
This place has been a favorite of my friends' and mine for a long time. The drinks are great, the events are great, the food is great, the service and people who work here are awesome! On top of that, you meet so many excellent people here as well. Some people are cool locals you cam get to know, and others are travelers coming from LAX. No matter what, you'll have an excellent time coming here. Love this place!
I go here for happy hour frequently with a girlfriend that can no longer drive. The bartenders know us and take great care of us. Food is really good and so are the drinks!
Definitely a “neighborhood gem” with a very unassuming front you’d never know how inside it has a wonderful vibe, great bartenders, quick service and nice crowd. Steak frites was awesome and the greens was a nice touch but the vinaigrette was terrible (no point deductions) steak perfectly cooked & fries fresh and delicious. Please fix that vinegar-y dressing chef its really bad. Otherwise one of the best steak frites anywhere. Will definitely return.
The salmon was absolutely delicious! One of the best salmon dishes I have ever had at a restaurant. The flavors and how everything came together from the salmon to the veggies being well seasoned. I can’t rave enough about it. I was actually pleasantly surprised because I didn’t expect The place to be so good. 10 out of 10 Get the salmon!

Most excellent customer service. Delicious steak frites. Must say the butter lettuce salad was huge. Unfortunately the dressing tasted mostly like oil. I don't think any lemon was applied. Luckily I like veggies I don't care how they are presented. But my husband was a little disappointed. Nice happy hour mixed drinks bit pricey for bourbon and 7 but they were substantial
This is a cool bar. I went during happy hour and just got a glass of wine. Mad at myself for not also getting the cacio e pepe potato chips. The service was great: checked in as needed and were responsive. After reading the reviews I clearly ordered wrong when it came to food. The chicken sando was okay: the slaw made the bread soggy and the fries had been refried so they were oily. The dip with black pepper was the star of the plate. Bar 5 stars Food 3 stars
I see this bar gets crowded for dinner time. I was just stopping by for a quick drink. Would definitely come back to try their food!
Very elevated food and ambiance. Terrific crafted drinks. Try the Turkish Delight if you like Tiki drinks....
Food: The food is okay, but the ambiance is superb - it’s dimly lit and they offer a good selection of drinks. Parking: they have a few spaces behind the building and there are a few (unmetered) spots in front. Tips: You probably want to chill here for the vibe and drinks. The front entrance is easy to miss, it’s off centered to the left when looking at the black bricks. They have both bar and booth seating.
I like this place but had somewhat a bad experience. Ordered a burger and fries. Told server very well done on the burger. First bite nothing but pink meat. Terrible. Chefs just don't take pride in their work anymore. So then the bill comes. $192. A litte high but ok. I give the server my card tell him it's $150 on the card and gives him an extra $60 In cash to cover the rest. Card statement comes they only charged me $132. What happened to my change? Kinda suspicious

The vibes here were immaculate. Date night was a success.. The venue was cozy and intimate and romantic. I love the vibes. The food just wasn’t the star of the show. The atmosphere was.

We ate at the Manchester on a Tuesday night and the food was fairly good but not large portions and very expensive for what we were served. Seems to be popular with the younger crowd. Extremely limited parking and hard to recognize the restaurant as you enter from the back entrance. Service was good but not exceptional. Recommend if you come here use Uber or Lyft. Really loud, the waiters just dropped the dishes behind the bar so constantly crashing sounds.
This bar is ok. Food ok, drinks ok. Atmosphere is nice if you're looking for a quiet, dark discreet bar to chill. The menu has interesting items but could use a few more options.
Good meal last night, but definitely some notable pluses and minuses. First - the food. Food was great! Huge veggie tray app, fresh and good to share. A few tasty margarita’s. Salmon was cooked perfect, and the cauliflower a delicious “char”. The only not so great was the chocolate pots du crème - a bit hard and not tasty at all. Overall, food was delicious. Atmosphere was fun, high energy, upbeat, cross of date nights and friends. The downsides - service could have been a bit more attentive - not bad, but room for improvement. No one greeted us upon arrival, so a bit confusing. Then after we ordered, our food came out super quick - all at once - appetizer and mains. It sure would have been nice to enjoy more than one cocktail, and have our app come out first - having time to enjoy it. Then have it taken away to make room for our main course. But weirdly - it was all at once - not a great dining experience - shame, because the food is very good just overwhelmed and could enjoy an app and main and feel so rushed. Then, our server was nice - but asked if she could give us our check, never asked if we wanted dessert? And we did - and we had to ask her! We got the chocolate - and sadly, maybe that’s why she didn’t offer dessert, it was the only food that was not good at all. Finally - tequila is one of the hottest “spirits” these days, yet despite a well stocked bar they offered only one “house” tequila … some Fortaleza repo would have been nice, any “choice” of more than one would have been nice. So - we ended up taking most of our food home in a brown bag, just weird not having time to enjoy a night out - to be so rushed and sent on our way - no pacing - no dessert ask, not great training. So - mixed. Knowing this - I’d suggest “apps first please” - don’t rush us. I’d have spent more time, more money, more joy - but they crushed what should have been a great night out.

Menu has good variety, tasty dishes, reasonable food prices, dark inside until someone enters front door letting in blinding light.. I took 2 bottles of wine. I asked what corkage was, server said he'll find out.. Later, I said "no.problem" and thought based on menu prices, corkage would be a reasonable usual $25-30 per bottl. GOT CHARGED $100 CORKAGE FOR 2 BOTTLES AND I OPENED THE BOTTLES MYSELF. WILL NEVER GO BACK. OUTRAGEOUS!!

Not sure who writes those reviews, maybe owner's relatives and friends but the place is nothing to rave about. Overpriced mediocre drinks, no food selection to mention and quality is certainly lacking as well. Service was quite weird too. For one they asked if we had a reservation. I don't remember making bar reservations ever, and there were only like two people there anyways. Very awkward. The place was extremely quiet, we were whispering the whole time. No music, tvs, nothing. Feels like a doctors office. Not my kind of hangout place. I miss Tompkins Square, that was a super cool bar with great food, drinks and fun crowd. Now we stuck with this cheesy place instead.
Service was okay, cocktails were good, food was very subpar. Two of us ordered the duck cassoulet, which easily was the worst preparation I’ve ever had. While the duck confit was hot, the beans were lukewarm and the garlic sausage was downright cold. Save your money and go to the KFC across the parking lot; at least they probably have heating ovens that work and staff that know how to use them.
Extremely overpriced. $16 burger & fries ($10 without the fries). It's literally just an innout burger. Save yourself the time and cash. Service was slow, the beer was even warm somehow. $10 beer, $19 cocktail... They have some other fancy menu items but definitely don't come here for burgers.
