Opinions de Gardino's Los Gatos
For me, this place is a Las Gatos staple. The bartenders pour amazing drinks, the kitchen bangs out some fantastic Italian food, and there’s always a nice upbeat crowd. Definitely one of my favorite places to begin a fun night out in Los Gatos.
We Sang KARAOKE Had A Great Time. The DJ Was Noreen Running The KARAOKE She Did An EXCELLENT JOB, VERY NICE, VERY FRIENDLY, Excellent Personality. Food Was Also Very Good, Great Taste. Interfaced With Owner, Manager, Extremely Friendly. Happy Place To Enjoy.
great Italian place in downtown los Gatos, love the vibe, and the host Pete!
Go on karaoke night for great entertainment. I wasn't crazy about my food but everyone else's looked good and tasted good (I sampled) I"ll order differently next time. getting to the bathrooms can be a challenge when the place is rocking so plan accordingly.
Good food, and prompt service even when packed during live music
The management and wait staff including bartenders are all the best in the area. Attended a family event for a passing and they took care of my family everything they did was going above and beyond helping us to start the grieving process. I cannot express the level of appreciation I have for each and every member of the team.
Had a great experience at this place. Was surprised pizza was not on the menu. Not much menu for kids either, but waiter recommended a delicious bread, which resembled pizza, which our toddler liked. Sports bar atmosphere with a high-end and delicious menu. Ironic, but it did not disappoint.
Came in on a very not busy Monday night with our 7yo and 4yo and had a great experience overall, mostly down to how tasty all the food was. Portions were perfectly adequate.
We each had the chefs special of lemon caper halibut. The fish was delicious, the vegetables were a perfect crisp-tender, and the sauce on the rigatoni was probably the best red sauce I've had. Will definitely go back. The only downside...a little pricey considering it was a weekday lunch.
The food and service were amazing.
Gardino's is my go-to restaurant in downtown Los Gatos. Their pastas are amazing - the meat sauce is delicious and the marinara is equally great. I just had their minestrone (vegetable) for the first time and was so pleasantly impressed - house-made with lots of vegetables and just the right amount of ditalini rigati pasta. I had that as part of the ravioli lunch special. Overall a wonderful place for lunch or dinner.
Gardino donated their spaghetti sauce to the Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad and W.E. Bill Mason Carousel End of Summer Pasta Night Ride event. We loved the sauce so much we came to the restaurant for lunch to try more dishes. Enjoyed SiriusXM First Wave playing in the background. A live band was setting up. My wife ordered the Cioppino, and I ordered Marsala Chicken. They were delicious, and better than other places.
If you’ve been searching for genuine authentic Italian food, look no further than Gardinos. I believe this place is overlooked due to the bar, but the restaurant portion of the establishment is truly phenomenal. Come here if you’re looking to be fulfilled and satisfied with your meal, there has not been one time so far that I have had a bad experience with the food or attentive people that work here. I truly appreciate the environment that makes up the inside of the place, lots of awesome memorabilia of Italian portrayal. I typically go in the morning generally around when they open for business, it’s laid back and relaxing to enjoy such a delicious meal. The owner Pete is always so kind and makes sure we’re satisfied with what we have received. Jeff the waiter is also attentive, kind, and super responsive. This place is truly a hole in the wall amongst the many restaurants along the strip, make sure to come here!
The food was amazing. The Linguini Pesto with sausage was great. My wife enjoyed the artichoke chicken. My kids enjoyed spaghetti colognes and chicken Alfredo. Desserts were yummy too. Tried the tiramisu, cannoli and spamoni ice cream
Nice friendly staff. Cooked to order fresh. Karaoke Thursday nights at 7pm. Fun casual atmosphere. Outside seating available. Only ice bar & karaoke in Los Gatos
It's a fun place to go listen to music. Staff is friendly.
We had such a lovely dinner here outside. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious. Thank you so much for a great dining experience!
Amazing food. Service was decent but there was only a single server at the time. Will be returning. Adding to this, after trying again in a less busy situation, even better experience
Sunday early evening exelent place to spend on your boring Sunday afternoon, not only great service, the food is so fresh and autentic the atmosphere is great!!!! Totally recommended
Without question be best mozzarella sticks that I have had in the entire Bay Area. Spicy and melty, these are clearly made on site. Not out of a bag frozen! The Sicilian slush is a delightful concoction that includes limoncello and vodka, how can you go wrong! So good! Live band, Dylan Rose Band on a Sunday afternoon. How can you lose! I will definitely be back for more of those mozzarella sticks and to try some other things from their menu which looks spectacular!
Let me start saying that our server was one of the most friendly servers we ever got, always smiling and worried if everything was great with us, food is delicious as well, if you go there you must try their chicken breast, everything is well seasoned and tasty, and they got huge portions of pasta as well, just a little over average price but you do get what you pay for, so 100% worth it

Great spot with live music.

The chef at this restaurant is excellent. He made us linguine with clams in spicy Sicilian red sauce and baked eggplant mostachelli. They were both delicious and we have eaten delicious food in Sicily! Thank you for an amazing lunch! The wine selection was adequate, but we wish they had a house wine that was not a Pinot noir.
We are very grateful for the outstanding service that the owner from Gardinos provides to our community. Everything is absolutely perfect.
Be sure not to sing any rock music there because they discriminate against rock singers and they’ll turn your mic off in the middle of a song and technically just disrespectful and hateful. They are Karaoke. Leidy is very disrespectful. I had a horrible time. The food was great. The customer service was great by the restaurant. Everything the restaurant was good. The karaoke host was disrespectful.
Hard to believe I’ve been coming here this long without dropping a review. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere always deliver. Every guest I bring ends up loving it too. If you’re in Los Gatos, you should check it out.

Bery casual atmosphere. Live music on certain nights. Servers were attentive and friendly. Great cocktails and appetizer Calamari and main dish Prawns in garlic sauce and Lasagne was also very tasty. It was our first visit but we will be return customers.
Food solid, service a bit slow (place was pretty empty the day we were there), could have used more beers but he rarely came outside. The outdoor seating is really nice for clear sunny lunch meetings. Overall a solid lunch option in the area.
Can only give four stars for this time around... we didn't order dinner, just drinks and apps. We were sat quickly by the kind waitress. She was delightful, attentive and quick with service. We ordered the Sicilian Slush lemon flavored, which was really tasty, and the Tommy's bread dip. The dip was really good but the bread was only okay, and came out cold. Would stop in again for drinks and to try the entrees next time. Super cute, lively place.
Metal tables, live band, great service. Ordered the Vongole Italiano with only aglio e olio. Was good and garlicky. Garlic bread was also garlicky, no vampires tonight. My wife tried the Fettuccine Alfredo and also liked it.

The veal parmigiana was not very good and it cost $22. I could not find the veal. It was deep fried, oil saturated, bread crust gunk with a gob of melted cheese on top and the edges were burned. At that price I would expect better, a lot better. I was really excited about having delicious veal dinner. It was a $$$ splurge. Very disappointed. The fettuccine cabonara was tasty. The service was pretty good.
The new low height 2top tables that replaced the 6 or 8 top high top tables are very unsatisfactory. If someone wants to join you later they feel awkward because there are only 2 seats per table. The large high top tables were way more conducive to socializing & mingling with other patrons.. Also I noticed the tables are so small & low height that things are sticking out over the edges like the menu, the payment wallet and people walk by and knock stuff off your table onto the floor. These tables make it less fun in there somehow. 😕
I really don't think the service was friendly. It took forever to get our order of drinks in. The food was good, had to wait a very long time to get our dish of eggplant pasta. The band was pretty decent. Overall I liked it, but definitely not a place that I will frequent on a regular basis....more of a back up of a back up type of place for me.
Monday, Jan 25, 2016. We both ordered chicken Marsala. The chicken was so tough and stringy it was difficult to cut with a knife, let alone chew. My mother had to spit out several bites. The Marsala sauce was delicious. Vegetables were cooked to perfection. It was early afternoon and we were the only diners. Yet it took a very, very long time to receive our meal. We were never offered a wine menu and thought beer and soft drinks were our only choices. We didn't notice the wine list on the wall by the bar until we left. Our waitress dropped off our food and never returned. In fact she forgot all about us and was surprised we were still there when the bus boy relayed our request for our bill. She never offered us dessert although my mother wanted the tiramisu. The bus boy dropped off the bill and when the waitress finally came to pick it up I told her the chicken was tough and stringy, she responded that people always love the chicken Marsala. Not a great experience here, we won't return.
Place has a good vibe and OK service. The food is far from being a good quality or authentic. I ordered a minestrone soup that was OK minus and pasta carbonera that was at level of a frozen TV dinner both from looks and taste. Ended up returning it and leaving the place. I was not charged for the dish I returned.
The food was ok but the service was crappy. And what made matters worse was the lady bartenders were literally hanging out of the tops. I was there with my husband and he noticed too. It offended both of us. This restaurant is in the heart of upscale Los Gatos but I think it should be in the bad side of town. We will not go back.
First of all the menus they handed us were filthy. I would have left then, but my husband was hungry ( and his menu was not as bad as mine). Seriously I have never wanted to wash my hands after holding a menu. Then the bread comes. Not awful, but no great, but when I went to pick up the olive oil, my hand literally stuck to it a bit. The eggplant dish we ordered was only okay, not what it sounded like on the menu. We won't go back. Service was good.
Cons: the server smelled like chain smokers. We couldn't stand him even for a couple of seconds that he was putting the food on the table. The food selection was limited, especially salad Pros: they were accommodating and customized salads for us.
I can only speak towards the one dish I ordered. It was a shrimp and pasta dish. The dish was mostly pasta (cooked well, great texture) but there were only 6 shrimp in the sea of pasta...all were rubbery, tough and dry. The sauce was exactly as described, a light cream sauce. I knew I preferred a heavier, more rich, cream sauce so I ordered extra sauce and a side of parmesan cheese. Sadly, that was not included in our takeout order. I checked down the shrimp, thew the rest in the trash and had to find an alternate dinner/snack option while traveling for business in an unfamiliar neighborhood, not ideal. I am giving 2 stars because it wasn't good quality shrimp and I didn't get the requested items. I hope my honesty and directness is helpful to the owners and or future patrons. Los Gatos appears to be a very cute town. I wish this restaurant many years of success moving forward.

We have eaten here in person and had door dash in pinch. Tonight’s was the worst DoorDash. Food was like rubber (chicken Marsala) portion was super small- and the overall meal was way over priced. $130 fo 3 people. But we were super tired form a long days work and we were actually craving Italian. Won’t be going back.
Extremely rude. I ordered through doordash and it went through. I walked 20 minutes and did not get any notification that my order was cancelled. When I got there, the guy was extremely rude saying that they were done and my order was cancelled. I guess they can choose to close 4 hours earlier than posted and not stop ordering ability.
Not a fan of their new low, small tables. This place is too small with too much foot traffic for that. It feels really cramped now. We had our menus knocked off the table and elbows bashed into, I had my foot stepped on by a male staff member (Who didn't apologize) . (this can't happen when you're sitting at a high top) I used to come here all the time but the tiny low-top tables make it a very uncomfortable experience now.😕
Me and my friend were out in los gatos and wanted to find a good Italian restaurant. We went to this place with hopes of at least getting something decent. I got two plates of pasta extra creamy and two cheesecakes for dessert. The amount of pasta was poor, the quality was poor as well. Not only that once we entered, the gentleman who served us gave us an attitude like we didn’t belong there. Me and my buddy talked about how the treatment we got was weird. I paid 80+ for basically two sides of decent pasta, it wasn’t even filling. Im not tryna sound like a karen but i was simply disappointed. This food may only taste good while drunk other than that this food is decent at most.
Do not come here. food was mid at most and the portion sizes compared to the prices is wild. the servers are rude and old men. We were being harassed by this drunk lady and when i asked the security to tell her to stop he said “thats fine shes a regular” i was so dumbfounded that they’re excusing her hostile behavior because shes a regular. do not come here
Ordered fettuccine carbonara with added chicken. Was tasting average. Chicken had a very long black hair in it. I didn't want to call the waitress since she was having a very busy time with other customers. And then i saw two more black hair inside. Then i called the waitress to change it. She was very helpful and nice. But the cook wasn't (sitting close to open kitchen so i can see him). He kept looking intensely at me after my dish getting renewed. The chicken this time was awfully over-cooked with burned taste. Definitely not recommend, zero hygiene and unprofessional cooks.
This is more like local/dive bar with food options. Don’t expect good food because just price is high. Food is mediocre, table arrangements are temporary which may get converted to dance floor later in night. Blend food and questionable service.
