Food definitely exceeded expectations. French Dip sandwich was the best I've had in a long time. Meat was a Stender as brisket with just the right amount of fat. Chef's kiss 🤌. The wife had the chicken quesadilla and it was delicious as well. The "tall" beers are about the size of a pitcher, so be aware of that. Great place to eat and chill. If we lived in Lubbock, this would definitely be a regular place for us!

So ordered the chips and queso, added meat and some salsa. The chips were a touch salty but salsa was pretty good. The queso on the other hand was terrible! Way too much grease and just .... greasy. All that aside, the atmosphere and staff is AMAZING!!!

This is my second time here & my friends 1st time… it’s a great atmosphere & we enjoy bingo! Dez has been sooo good & I think she saved the night. Originally the 1st 2 servers weren’t very friendly & my food order wasn’t correct. The only person who cared to checked on us was Dez & made it right & made us feel welcomed & comfortable. Thanks Dez!! Food was delicious too!

Soooo this place been my go to since I moved in this area. First off the food is hands down fulfilling and the service of the bartenders are amazing! My favorite bartender is Kailey, she’s really funny and keeps the party going! Definitely recommend

Shotzys is quite decent for a bar with a lot of options. The atmosphere is fun with lots of friendly people and faces. Our first visit the service was exceptionally good for how busy their event night was, however, our second visit was quite lacking. I would still highly recommend at this point though. Smashed Bing is fun and lively.

Look. When you see the name "Shotzy's Bar and Grill" incredible food and service may not be the first thing that comes to mind. It should be. In this Local Guide's opinion, it is THE BEST burger in this county. Hell, maybe this country? I don't know, I haven't tried them all yet. It isn't just the burgers...the daily specials are fantastic too. Hamburger steak? You bet...and it's delicious. Meat loaf is special too. And the chicken strips. The bartender, Crystal, is an absolute gem...just don't give her a hard time or she'll give it right back. Highly freaking recommend.

This place is great. Good vibes, even better prices. Good food. No too loud but not too quiet either. And all the bartenders are fantastic. What a great hidden gem! We love to go in and trying something new off the menus each time. We have never been disappointed! The same goes for the service. It does not matter how busy they are, a smile is always given. I already can't wait to go back, if the Frito pie is nearly as good as the chili cheese tots, I know what I am trying next time!!

5 star all around!! Atmosphere is always great, i like going on the slower days but you never know what your going to walk into . Either way the service doesn’t change, the staff is always on point. They are very aware of their customers and are quick to serve them as fast as possible, never seen any one of them distracted by their cell phone. The guys in the kitchen put out some of the best food in town, hats off to them. Never had anything wrong with my order, always comes with napkins, silverware extra plates if needed without having to ask. Kailey is a favorite, 5 seconds into walking in she always welcomes you with a hello and remembers exactly what you drink and has it ready for you. If you haven’t been I would recommend you give them a try. Once you get to know the staff and the regulars it’s home away from home.

Update!! I’ve been back a couple times since my first review and brought people with me. Guess what? Same great service and food! Definitely one of my favorite places now!! I drove from the DFW area to experience Shotzy’s and I was NOT disappointed. Had one of the best hamburger steaks ever. All the food was perfectly seasoned and the wait staff were so nice and friendly. I’ll definitely be back again.

We went there for the first time. I had the Philly steak with tots, and my wife had the Ruben with onion rings. My wife really liked the ruben and the philly steak was good as well. The onion rings are made with red onions, and the breading is made everyday there. The onion rings are made to order. The breading is really good. The onions them selves have more of a mild flavor. That's not a bad thing. It's just if you want more of a onion taste to your onion rings you might want to get something else. Again we did like them. The waitress/bartender was very nice and friendly, and came to to see if we needed anything. She was the only one working the front it seemed. The beer comes in small and large. The large is a 32oz glass (from the tap at least). They also do karaoke, but not when we were there. Over all I give it a 8.5 out of 10 , and will be going there again.

Fried cheese is still really good. It is much smaller now and costs a good deal more, but it has been many years since I have been. We will be back!

Environment is very good bar staff is well paced friendly and energetic. My main concerns is the kitchen they need to be more comfortable and faster with orders it took 25 minutes to get an order of nachos. I had a few concerns with the kitchen staff wearing shorts shorts in the kitchen. If it were one of the kitchen I worked for I would have sent them home to change. Place is pretty good has a decent crowd. It's more a beer joint. They don't have all the ingredients to make cocktails. So if it's cocktails and mixers you're after you're at the wrong place. Didn't dine but the appetizers I had were good. One crowd loves their Cheesesteaks that I ran into there.

Food and drinks were delicious, but we went on a Friday night when the bar was packed and there were only three bartenders (who also double as the servers) and it took a while to get our drinks and food after ordering because they were stretched so thin. Definitely recommend though for the awesome food and drinks and the DJ who has a killer voice!

This has a great atmosphere and the day bartender has been great. However, I choose to not patronize a bar that uses a Jigger, after I go there three or four days in a row, spend $$$$ buy food, drinks, and tip very well 25% & above. Above at this location. This is a local bar, which is what I seek out. I'll find me one that better fits my daytime habits. I'm told to try Dinks. Headed there now, left Shotzys early today. I hate this cause I really liked the day bartender and the day local beer drinkers. If you are not interested in how your mixed drinks are poured. This is an excellent establishment. It is all one would want except a good strong drink. I'm a Crown drinker, after two to three days straight and 25% + tips. My Crown and water should look like tea now dingy water. My opinion.

Fun place to have a drink. Trivia is worth going to if that's what you like. Service was good. The only problem is I had the worst Philly steak sandwich I have ever ate in my entire life, so be careful with that.

Shotzy's is one of our favorite places. The food is delicious and the service we receive from Des is great! We've had good servers but Des is the BEST! She always remembers our favorite drinks and our favorite top 3 meals!

We went in the afternoon normally they are more attentive … they had 3 Bartendars / servers we waiting at least 10 minutes one of the girls assumed the other one had went to our table until we finally got attention of one of them !!! First time going. Heard good things and everything was good. But walked into a dirty table and our waitress forgot the whole section. Everyone was having to get up and get their own drinks.

I have seen a few reviews about the staff and I'm not surprised. If you happen to forget your phone in this bar, and you go back right after they close, don't expect to get it back. Not only did a couple of the bartenders call me and my sister the B word when we were patiently waiting to be served while they continued to see us and served people that kept coming in after us last time we were here a few months ago but last week I forgot my phone and went shortly after they closed the doors and were cleaning. I'm a young woman, not intimidating at all so when I went to knock on the door I thought they would talk to me through the door and see what I wanted. I thought they would be decent human beings and just hand me my phone on their way out. Especially because I heard them talking about how they had it in there but weren't gonna give it to me and laughing about it. Although they swore they have so many phones and didn't know which one it was, it was the only one that kept ringing and they kept declining calls and I could hear it and see it inside when I called. It was right next to them. They decided to call the cops. They showed up and the employees walked out and shut the door behind them saying "sorry we don't know which phone it is and we can't get back in now" The officers said it was petty of them to do what they did and just to try to go back the next day. Cool bar but terrible night shift employees.

I sat at the bar on Sunday evening. It was fairly busy. I was not greeted by either one of the 3 servers/bartenders, although they did serve regulars sitting in the 2 stools next to me. Finally I said hello to one server coming from the back & asked for a drink. I let her know I was new to the establishment. A table became available & I moved hoping to get a menu & better service. Hillary came to collect the dirty dishes from the previous clients & acknowledged that she noticed I had moved from the bar, but didn't offer any service. I had to go to the bar & call to them to get any attention. This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had.

Went on a Friday early afternoon because we heard good reviews of this place. We sat down and were given drinks and menus immediately. We waited half an hour and our order still was not taken. I understand the bartenders double as servers but it was not busy and a few people who came in to the bar after us were attended to immediately for their drinks and food. After the half hour, we decided to just leave and upon walking out we were even told “thank y’all”, so we knew we did not go unnoticed the entire time we waited for our order to be taken. I hate to say I’m very disappointed in our experience here.

Aggressive drivers is exactly what the Lubbock police department is after - this driver was speeding excessively west on 82nd street @4:00 pm with no regard for public safety and aggressively overtaking lanes . Pull the data on the truck and handle business before this driver becomes more than just a wreck-less liability !

Music loud. Service sucks. Waited 15 mins for someone to come to table. Beer is okay, but nothing to write home about. 1/5 I will edit my review just like the owner, and apparently I’m just a scathing liar who didn’t experience sitting for 15+ minutes with no service. If they’re willing to come on here and lie about someone sitting for a period of time with no service, then what else are they going to fabricate? I will not be coming back and implore everyone else not to as well.

We waited at a table for 20 minutes and got no service while I was at the table I called and asked if I could get some service and her answer was “I don’t know” but they gave service to people that were coming in after us. Anyway, apart from the service, the place looks trashy and not well taken care of as well. There was trash on the floor, fries, and ketchup and food all over the floor. The tables weren’t cleaned off.

On February 8, 2026, our group had an unfortunate experience at this establishment involving a bartender named Kalee. We were asked to leave after she stated that she believed she did not receive a sufficient tip and accused us of “stiffing” her. She loudly told us, “Y’all need to leave.” When we calmly asked for clarification, she responded that she could make us leave simply because she wanted to. At no point were we disruptive, disorderly, or behaving in any way that would justify being removed. The situation appeared to stem solely from dissatisfaction with the perceived tip amount. As we were exiting, she made an obscene hand gesture toward our group, which was both unprofessional and disappointing. There is video footage of the interaction. Given that I have a platform with over 2 million views, I am mindful of the impact that sharing this publicly could have. I would prefer to give management the opportunity to reach out and address this matter directly before posting the video. I contacted the establishment on February 9, 2026 and was directed to speak with management. I hope ownership takes this situation seriously, as this type of interaction reflects poorly on customer service standards.

I ordered a cheeseburger today & it was good, but I ordered ketchup and mustard and they charged me for that. 😱😳🤦🏻‍♀️ I told the waitress I had no idea that they charged for a condiment (mustard and ketchup)! It wasn’t ranch or anything like that, I feel like this is just part of the burger & fry entree. How can you charge for freaking ketchup and mustard!? 😬 I’ve never been to a restaurant who would do this. AND… if you’re going to charge for something simple like this, then you should literally have this posted in the menu, or have the waitress tell you this is an upcharge! I don’t think this is being unreasonable. POST YOUR CHARGES for something simple like this please so everyone knows! Now I know, and others reading this will know too… Ty.
