Sonic Drive-In at Lubbock, North west location off of 4th Street, great service, visited late night two nights in a row before heading to overnight shift and both times food was delivered on time and with a smile. The food was also created as preferred and ordered and tasted great! Great service, great attitude, great food, highly recommend!

We thought they had a public bathroom like the one off the highway. But, they didn't. Manager graciously allowed my elderly mom to come in and use their employee bathroom. I can't thank them enough!!!

Love their happy hour drinks lots of variety of flavor a tins and during summer time from 8 p.m. to 12 they offer half-price ice cream slushes and milkshakes my favorite ice cream slush is the blue coconut.

For a sonic this location is pretty convenient for students, located in a good area of town, they have busy hours, and they do their best to get orders in, other than that every employee that I've encountered has been nice so far, definitely recommended this location

Josh the manager was awesome, my mom's drink was not as she would have liked it and Josh and the drive-in staff made it right for her. Cassie was our carhop and very friendly. I wish all the sonic's were as good as this one.

This is my favorite local Sonic to visit. It's in a nice location right across from the hospital and Rush Neighborhood. The parking lot is enormous, so I don't have to feel crowded by other cars. Carhops bring out positive attitudes towards their customers, and they have never missed an order of mine. Also very clean!

I love their half price shakes after 8 I'm there every day for a route 44 water and every night for a late night shake for the kids. Sometimes I get one too but I have a big enough budonkey that I don't need it every night but it is good when I do get one. I get a strawberry shake.

Absolutely horrible experience today. Waited at least 10 mins at the drive thru window to get my route 44 ice water only to not even be acknowledged. I finally just drove off without my water. I will never stop at this location again. 😤😤😡😡

Everyone knows about Sonic. If you had a long day, and don't wish to cook, it's a great place for a quick hamburger, chicken or fish sandwich. Food is hot, drinks are cold, and the ice cream selections top it off.😊

Like, I guess back in 1950s or so when you used to go to a restaurant and park and someone would come over and get your order wearing roller skates, that's the same atmosphere for Sonic. Great communication with the main office when needing ($$) change, and if one needs to get an additional item to eat.

Busy for time of night but was 1/2 Shakes etc... service was prompt for as busy as it was. The carhop greeted and repeated order and amount for order. One of the few carhops that spoke clearly to be unerstood not the ramble mumble. It was appreciated for impaired hearing and not have to ask to repeat what was said about order. And a sincere thank you and asking if order was correct and if any condiments were needed with the food.

All the stalls were closed. I assume because they are short staffed. They were out of sausage of all kinds. However, they whipped me up a cheeseburger in record time during breakfast. Considering the drive thru was the only way to get service, it went fast and the guy at the window was super nice. Always love this location.

I have fallen in love with cherry vanilla cream sprite and only two restaurants in town I know can and have the means to do it is sonic drive in and Dairy Queen. I love the app and mom hassle with ordering items and not mess up with the order. Thank you sonic 🥰❤️‍🔥

We got served fast & the person taking our order was Super Friendly! We had Blue Coconut Slushes, & a Mango slush. The Blue Coconut Slushes we're Great thirstquenchers & the Mango one was ok, but a little Sweet tasting for a sugar free. But, all & all, it was good! Thank you Sonic!

I always ALWAYS use this Sonic. They always make great drinks and always greet me with a smile. There is one carhop who almost always brings me my drinks and they are the best. (I need to get their name and update this next visit. It might be Daniel?) But even the ONE time my drinks got made wrong, they were in the middle of a crazy rushed and still stopped to make things right. they remade my drinks for me and made sure i was satisfied before leaving. They obviously have a great staff and management team. Thank yall again. I'll be back for another rt44 sweet cream vanilla dr pepper.

I love Sonic Drive in the service is always excellent and even when there may be an issue they go above and beyond to make sure to provide great customer service and that you leave satisfied. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family!

They are really good but we need to settle something with Sonics across town: "Dry" burger should mean everything, INCLUDING the veggies BUT no condiments (ketchup, mayo, mustard). "Plain" burger should mean just the meat and cheese. Nothing else. Every time I order a dry burger, I just get the meat. No veggies (which is wrong). No condiments (which is correct). :) It's just annoying but not a huge problem. If I'm missing something, please let me know. Like tell me "Say this next time and everyone will understand". :)

It's a Sonic, exactly as you'd expect, slightly harder than usual to navigate if there are longer SUVs up by the end, but otherwise ok. Close to campus, so really convenient if you're headed that direction.

Good Food, Fast Service...Just check your bag to see if they included everything, as about 20% of the time they forget in they're favor, and they will sometimes give you a discount or free next type things if they did forget, or it would be lower starred...but good food still so 4 stars!

I was having a hard time redeeming a free item from the Sonic app they lady who came out gave me the discount. I was also having a hard time finding a breakfast sandwiches. She took the order manually. The order came out to 11.02 and I gave her 12 dollars. She only gave me 24 cents back. Even though she short changed me the service was good.

Grabbed a quick breakfast at Sonic on 4th and Quaker. Within 5 minutes I had my burrito and was leaving. Perfect for the time crunch u was experiencing. The food was hot and prepared as described on the order panel.

I usually get my orders in a timely manner and the car hops are usually polite and prompt and I end up tipping them because they're always on the go and work pretty well. I don't like the way the entrance is when coming in on the north bound lane from university avenue because of the way the road is. It has huge bumps in the center and it's meant to make you drive a block to turn just to enter the Sonic.

I hate to have to do this. Order take her not paying attention and too busy giggling and playing around with coworkers to understand what I had said to her. I asked for a manager the manager that came out seemed like she could care less. When I told her what the problem was all she said was but did she get it?. It wasn't the point whether or not she understood it when I spelled out the name for her it was that she was too busy playing to do her job properly. To top off the visit they got the order wrong. This Sonic has been going downhill for a very long time and it doesn't look like it's going to change.

Of Course you can't beat their shakes and blasts. Best place to get those. Food isn't bad either. Love the pretzel stick, just wish they were a little bit on the cheaper side

I probably would have given a five stars I quit going to the one on North University closest to my house cuz they no longer cook the food good anymore I guess today maybe I had it coming out it's my fault but.. I pull up the stalk number two. I pushed the button and asked what stall I'm at the lady replied do you mean the store that you're parked in.... Which I thought was a very odd question to ask so I said and maybe I said it with attitude I can't be in two stalls at the same time in my head that seems to be a very weird question to ask someone..... And I guess maybe the retaliated because the two burritos I bought were heavily heavily salted to the point I couldn't even eat either one of them now was it a pure coincidence or was it retaliation from the cook from the way I spoke to that girl that answered I don't know but when I asked him and told him about the problem they did corrected and gave me two other burritos without any added salt or pepper which is something I've never seen Sonic do and I buy burritos a lot might have been a bad experience they corrected it so it's a four-star a game of Sonic is reading this review I'm sorry for having a rude attitude about that question but at the same time they really shouldn't be retaliation on somebody's food because of that

Edit, in the year of our lord 2023 Sonic does not prompt for tips and that alone makes it a much better place to stop than most others. Thank you sonic! ( sonic does in fact guilt you into tips and well that sucks. I'm so damn sick of it all) Sonic is just a solid place to get a burger and tots. It is what it is and that says a lot these days. Order on the app and save yourself some heart ache. This location is really not the best but hey their mobile app always works and they have a poki stop.

Server had mask under his nose and when I reached for the tip with out asking if we needed any extra condiments. Asked for drink with no ice.. had ice ... Sandwich had no sauce. Otherwise okay!

No self service and no self pay. Talk on microphone for orders and give cards to servers to pay. It all ads up to longer time spent there. Also no music. All in all a very sterile experience.

Sonic always has the best drinks!!! Usually quick service, but here lately, i seem to always pull up to a slot that the card reader doesnt work. Can't they put a sign up that says "cars reader doesnt work"?? Food is average, home burgers are better, but is goos for a 'lazy night'.

Everything was right with my order except for my banana milkshake I ordered it without whipped cream 1st time it had whipped cream 2nd time there was a hole in the cup being covered by a sticker which was purposely put there and the 3rd time it still came back WITH whipped cream I gave up at that point

It would be better if they wouldn't drown the burgers in mustard and ketchup I couldn't finish it because it was so bad. The other day I ordered a quarter pound double cheeseburger and ask for just mustard no ketchup and there was no mustard and a lot ketchup. Today I ordered a number 1 and ask for mustard but it was swimming in mustard

It was okay. My chicken tender meal was disappointing. I know this is a burger place, but my bar for their chicken was not high. The tender was stiff and did not go anywhere when bitten. Reminded me of a off brand chicken tender that felt overcooked. The meat itself was moist, but not enough to overcome the breading. The tator tots were average. The onion rings was fine. The cherry limeade was super strong in lime and not much cherry. The staff seem to be in a hurry, but did service the needs of the customer. Same pricing as all others. Not my favorite, but might try again later down the road later in the year.

Today this location gets 2 stars. I asked for a ft long deal with tots and a size increased COKE plus added an extra dog. Repeated to the gentleman - one with cheese, one without. The extra dog was correct but my ft long had NO chili, NO cheese, overly loaded relish and SO much mustard I couldn't breath. I took the weiner out, washed it off and ate it plain - threw away the bun with the overloaded condiments. Some lunch, what a frustrating experience.

The wait for someone to take our order was crazy long, but once they did the food was there in no time! Seemed like it made up for the first wait but then the food tasted like it had been sitting there all day. Just one disapointment after the next it seemed. Everybody has bad days tho, maybe today was theirs. Oh well.

I will not go back to this sonic again. I have got a hot dog & it was cold as ice. I stopped by for breakfast & ordered French Toast Sticks, they were out. I parked in their handicapped spot & it didn't work. Not happy with this sonic.

I really like this sonic location, I've gone here many times and the food has always been delicious! One of my favorite treats is a brownie-cookie dough blast with peanut butter added (highly recommend) and the past couple of times all the toppings were clumped up at the bottom, so you end up eating all the ice cream and then you're stuck with mouthfuls of brownie. Not an even mix, kinda lazy on sonic's part. Then tonight I visited sonic for my regular and they brought me a plain cookie dough blast. I asked them to fix it, they slapped some peanut butter in it and brought it back out to me. The guy who made it handed it to me and I asked if there were brownies? He said yes. So I take it home to share it with my Boyfriend and guess what? Not a single bit of brownie! I'm really disappointed with sonic. I've been let down. It definitely makes me think twice about coming back. To sum it all up, the food is good, but the service is crappy.

The food was not good. The tater tots-all 6 of them for a small order @$1.49??? were cold. The chicken littles, which my son and I were looking forward to eating again since they were "back", were awful cuz the chicken was rubber and fatty(gristle?), did not taste good & did NOT fit the bun-it looked more like a patty than a strip, so it was awkward to hold to try to eat. I asked for EXTRA ice in the drinks and they put very little ice. The waitress that delivered the food was very nice, thus the 2 stars. I paid with my debit card before she got there, but somehow it did not go through, but she quickly resolved that issue.

I love using the Sonic app. So much that I refuse to pay full price for a drink from there because they are half price through the app. For a few months now, when I've placed my order, the Sonic app shows me that my card was declined. I've tried using different cards as well as Google pay and it doesn't matter, Sonic shows me my payment was declined. I called customer service and the employee stated that it was an app issue they were aware of. Great, nice to know it's not my card, lol. What makes that really yucky is that I can not get my half price drinks or any mobile order specials. So no 50 cent corndogs today. :/

Ordered buffalo chicken and a root beer. Order was cold and stale with no flavor, and drink was unsweetened tea.. Complained and remake was only slightly warm but atleast tastes like chicken this time drink was correctly root beer but was only like 3oz of drink and rest of the cup was ice

I love the drinks at sonic and the food isn't bad either. However lately they are constantly out of things I order or I am not allowed to have an extra sauce packet. Like if you order two cheese sticks or eight, you only get one marinara packet? Tonight though, we went, I took my puppy. They were extra stingy. They have been doing the wag cups... this time, they charged me $1.09 for a tiny wag cup. Pup Cups are free at Starbucks, Dutch Bros and Bahama Bucks, all of theirs are larger and two add fun extras like sprinkles or dog bones. This cheap Sonic has the audacity to charge $1.09 for the tiniest dish of whipped cream. Whenever we are out on a ride, I will choose any of the other three drink stops over Sonic. The service has gotten sad as well. What a terrible experience.

Most of our order was fine but they messed up my drink it was supposed to be a route 44 but he gave us a large. We requested a correction so the young poured the large into a 44 cup and handed it back to us with only 3/4 of the drink. Bad move

Bad fast food. Chickens are literally dry and dense lacking juiciness. I would reckon no difference compared to the stadium wings. The normal queuing time is way too long. I would spent the same amount of time and money for Chick-fil-A.

Waited almost 30mins for 3 large drinks!! And the order didn't pull up on the screen so we couldn't pay for them right when we wanted and then while waiting the screen starts showing SOMEONE ELSE'S order!

Sorry service and called to let a supervisor know what their employees are sending out and she just kept saying I'm sorry. Which the first call I made was the wrong location and they offered to make me some fresh food. Not this one I hate this one.

This is second time I have gone to this location. First time took a long time to get order, when I checked on why so long I was told they had not started my order. Guy was rude. Now this time apparently soda machine was down. I was waiting for over 10 minutes for a drink. Never was told until again I checked. Seems like poor management.

Pulled up at 4:27, ordered 1 drink. It took 11 minutes to get my drink. 11!!!! 3 cars in drive thru, 6 cars in stalls. I've been to a different Sonic during Hapoy Hour with all the stalls taken and had to drive around building, ordered food and got it sooner than 11 MINUTES! VERY DISAPPOINTING.

I just love the sonic on Quaker and 4th st. They are always so friendly and kind and efficient. They will answer questions and help in any way possible. Way to go to all of the sonic crew at this location. Today was a different day and a different review. I ordered a rt44 dr pepper with real strawberries and real cherries and I asked the little girl that brought us our order if she had used real fruit and she said yes right to my face and smiled. Well she lied to my face. I get home and pour my dr pepper into a glass to see the fruit and to my refreshment drink gone bad, there was no fruit. I poured the dr pepper down the drain. Well sonic guess what? You just lost a daily customer for life. I hate liars and places that employ those type of liars.

Sonics in town have been going down hill this location and 4th and frankford atleast. Our wait has been 15 to 20 mins atleast on any kind of food order, and I may understand if it was happy hour or dinner rush but either of my last two visits fit that criteria

I ordered an Oreo cheese cake milkshake and it was terrible. It tastes like keylime pie. My friend ordered cookiedough and it had bits of peanuts in it. Someone is screwing up orders or ingredients here.

After I was ignored for 20 min as people came and went I finally could speak to the most incompetent employee ever Me: can I get a large combo Employee: Okay large combo Me: Just double checking that its large, your screen says medium Employee: its large Me: okay then... This visit was because I was desperately thirsty. Haven't been here in over a year, but I ordered my diet soda, and it was not diet. The receipt says diet Dr. Pepper, but what I received was Dr. Pepper regular. It does absolutely no good to complain to management nor to corporate because what are they gonna do? Give you a new soda? Maybe it's what you ordered, and maybe it's not? Do they care that you had to come back? No. They only solution is never go back. This location is notorious for wrong orders. I've even had a kid interrupt me while I was ordering, saying he couldn't hear me, then laughs while I try to order again. And corporate told me that there was no Sonic at that address. The only solution is not to return.

Why is it so complicated to get my orders right??? Every single time I order something and it's brought to me something is not right and I have to send it back and have it corrected? If I order something extra, it's not brought out the first time and I have to send them back to bring me what I ordered, or if I want something on a hamburger that doesn't normally come on it for example I like pickles on my hamburger but when I order my hamburger, guess what, NO PICKLES!!! ATTENTION TO DETAIL!!! And these kids want $15 an hour to screw up orders!!!

We get here the service seems fine. Until we have a complaint with our orders. Our car hop Xavier Yu was very rude and seemed to be in a rush when there was only 4 cars there. When we ask for something else ( a chocolate milkshake) it take about 7 minutes to arrive. And when it does it is the wrong milkshake. So again we ask for assistance. As the workers come by you can clearly see that they are talking about us in a way they shouldn't be. It was just a bad experience from a place that is clearly a rated four star place. Hopefully they don't give the same experience to anyone else.

28 minutes for our meal while we are waiting a carhop comes and asks a question and rolls her eyes when asked what she said. I guess she was too tired to open her mouth enough so you can understand what she is saying. Either way we get home and of course our order is incorrect. I placed an order using the app while sitting at this location. Somehow the order was sent to 4th and frankford. There was no way to cancel the order. The manager told me they could make the milk shakes but I would have to pay for them again. I explained that I use the app atleast once a week. It always sets the location for where I am. After going back and forth with the manager. She explained the only way I wouldn't pay for the order again was to drive to the other location. That was absolutely ridiculous. I left drove to the other location the manager there apologized remade the shakes after I explained why I was picking my order up 30 mins late. I will not go to this location again. The customer service is poor. I will gladly drive to the other location that is farther from my house since they have outstanding customer service.

This sonic has slowly been going downhill. The food is still very good but way to many machines are not working. The app does not work at any sonic. You sonic need to invest in updates on you stores or close some to make better ones. FIX THE APP.

I waited at least 20 minutes to receive my order which was correct on the screen but wrong when I received it. Cheddar peppers were still cold in the middle my sandwich also was made wrong. I was disappointed and won't be going back to this location.

I've gone to plenty of sonic drive-ins. All the ones in here in lubbock are always really fast & friendly. This particular sonic on 4th & quaker had the worst customer service ever. None of the employees knew was remotely going on repeated my order 10 times. & not once repeated my order correctly. I could hear them laughing making racial slurs to each other. By far the worst experience.

I go to this store every day before work and I keep getting the wrong order. I either get cherry coke or diet coke when I order a plain coke. The times I get a regular coke, it's either watered down or flat. I'm not sure what's going on but most stores here in Lubbock are this way, not just this one. Guess I'll be taking my business elsewhere because I've officially had it. After over a year of this mess, it's just old.

I don't understand why when a customer orders an Extra Sausage Patty for their Burrito, it doesn't resonate with this location that they literally WANT EXTRA SAUSAGE....not Extra Egg or Extra Sausage Egg Combo.... Lol...hence the word "Patty"! This is a consistent issue for me at this location. I don't even ask for the sausage patty to be put on the burrito...just give me the patty and I'll add it myself!

I got a grilled chicken and a crispy chicken sandwich combos. My sandwiches were made totally wrong. Both were old and dry. The fries were nasty and hard. I ask for extra ice in my drinks and they had very little ice. Not good at all

Always get my food order wrong. No problems with the drinks BUT all the people who are with me get their stuff no problems right. When it comes to mine it's just a huge hassle. Last time I got actual food it took them 4 times to get no tomatoes no onion and no cheese right. I even asked the 3rd time just bring me mayo and the patty. Nooooope. So I just wound up leaving foodless. Good sprite tho.

How many times can you get an online order incorrect? 3 times and the manager Jonah really needs to sharpen up on his customer service skills! Didn't even try to make the situation right. Do not recommend this Sonic on 4th and Quaker they do not care about their customers! 😡

My friend and I had 2 different orders. My friend ordered a small mozzarella stick and got 2 sticks NOT 4, I ordered a sweet tea and I got an unsweet tea. I press the button 4 times to speak to a car hop but they just ignored us and then I called the sonic and he answered and he brought my friend a new mozzarella stick and they still gave me the wrong tea and had attitude!

This location is going down to the dumps. The customer service is ok, but ordering food is akin to talking to nit wits. When you order a specific item, such as a hot dog, you never get condiments. You're never asked if you want any. Take your money to another Sonic, this one sucks!!!

I ordered the large chilli cheese fries and found out Sonic decided to get cheap on us and get these cheap nasty fries that get all soggy. Where are the fries you had those were awesome. I won’t be back to Sonic until they can get the fries they had.

Horrible management. You can always tell which places have children running them. Order is NEVER correct, and it will be half assed, likely not even edible. If you have to press the button after an online order, they ignore SEVERAL times then get a nasty attitude. Bro. If your job at Sonic is too hard to do even mediocre, just do us all a favor and go home and play video games…

on all the instances ive gone here in my way home from work, they take so long here dude esp at night, you can press the button and no one answers for at least 20 mins. not to mention the food will be lazily done, ordered a hot fudge sundae they put no fudge, multiple times this has happened. i stopped coming to this one all together.

I have a family of 5. It is not uncommon, especially in drive thru take home experiences, for an item to be missed. Not that big of a deal, INCONVENIENT, but not a big deal; just have to go back and retrieve the missing item (a burger for my daughter in this instance). Ordered online with a digital receipt only to be told BY THE MANAGER "there's nothing I can do". NOTHING!!! How about just completing the order and putting the burger in the bag. Regardless, had to PAY AGAIN for the burger. I will drive a little further down the road to the next sonic if I ever endeavor again. 4th and Quaker sonic is frequent with mess ups and poor customer service which is a shame cause it's right next to where I live. 😞

I will let the pics speak for themselves, and yeah that's a salt pack melted in aswell. You bet I called and got the owners name and number. I called and texted pics immediately no response. Per Art the night manager said Tom the other night manager made this and sent it out, I don't really trust they gave me the owners info so I'm wasting more life on this to follow this through so that HOPEFULLY it can be corrected and they don't make someone tragically ill ESPECIALLY A CHILD who does not know to inspect food!! Shame on you Tom! You need to go punch yourself right in the di@k and while your at it please do the public a favor and resign and do not ever do food service EVER. AGAIN. Side note: This is not the first time. This location has been nasty for a long time. We quit going for a year or two on end then we give chances hoping it's cleaned up because it is convenient for us. But THIS. Is dangerously unacceptable. Permanently never going back. I will be looking at other ways to report this. Health department. Food for thought. Something. This was negligent and purposely sent out. The public needs to be made aware. Also I don't want a refund. I ESPECIALLY do not want free food. Do not spam my email. I much rather you waste your energy making this location a food safe establishment. Thank you.

Stopped on my way in from levelland to grab a quick bite ordered a large chili cheese tater tot and drive all the way to 34 and Q just to realize they gave me a coney with onions. (Which I am allergic to) called just to see if I could get a refund for the coney since obviously I can’t eat it, just to find out all they will do is put my name in a book so that next time I go I can “get it again for free” what happens if y’all mess that up I’m gonna have to drive 15 minutes all the way there then back to my House for a 4$ coney. Ridiculous.
