I honestly can’t believe this place wasn’t packed. It was PHENOMENAL. The quality of the food was impeccable. Very much up scale vibes for an affordable price and HIGH QUALITY ingredients. I can’t rave enough about this place. Alexander our server was amazing, attentive, even made me a fresh squeezed orange juice mimosa.
My favorite brunch spot with local flare and upscale comforts. Delightful Steak and Eggs with chimichurrie skirt steak. Alexander was most helpful waiter and I followed up with a rooftop cocktail that is only known by those who seek if. Perfection.
My waitress, Porsche, was very kind and considerate in addition to the bartender, asking and preparing my drinks and meal to meet my desires. The menu was not overwhelming and the breakfast was delightful. I couldn't ask for a better skirt steak (med rare, full of flavor) with chimichurri and scrambled eggs with the side of grits. The steak was full of flavor, I believe it may have had a balsamic reduction and fresh chimichurri which added to every bite. The Mimosa flight was beautifully presented, the taste was overly sweet for me, but most people would love it! Beautiful fruit, I would just prefer fresh fruit juice to mixers. Plenty of parking, with no service wait. I'll definitely be back.
Great service, Alex was awesome! And the food was delicious. Will definitely be coming back!
Been here a few times and I’m NEVER disappointed by the food or service always blown away. My favorite date night spot don’t come here often enough! Enjoyed being serviced by Christina tonight she was great!
Food was phenomenal. Eating here twice now and it has been excellent. Corned beef hash for breakfast. Alex, the server was A+
Brunch was A-maaazzing!! Got the biscuits and gravy this morning. Came 2 days in a row because of the pleasant atmosphere and delicious food. Try Jazz Brunch on 3rd Saturdays every month!
Had a wonderful experience at Loom in Macon! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I asked questions about the crab cake (can’t help it, I’m a MD girl) and Joe, one of the food managers was able to answer all questions. Get it if you want a southern take on a MD style crab cake. The bartender Rebecca Kraft was very knowledgeable and passionate…go see her if you want some homemade and creative cocktails with a flair. They also have a rooftop bar with great drinks as well. Great experience and if I make it back to Macon I will def stop back in!
The food was terrific. I'm vegetarian and wish they had vegetarian mains but eating pretty much all of the easily vegetarian sides more than enough. Loved to see the Washington wines from the Colombia Valley on their wine list also. It's worth stopping in for a bite and a glass of wine! The fried green tomatoes were amazing!
We went here for our 27th anniversary, and wow we have a new favorite restaurant in Macon. Complex flavors but not overwhelming, service was fun and informative and the califlower apitizer was over the top. We did 6 of the nine apetizers and would have kept ordering but for a seafood alergy. Highly recommend. Sophia, are server was so warm, professional, and knowledgeable.
A fantastic meal from start to finish. Service could not have been more attentive. Our waiter even took time to share recommendations in the area. Now, the food. The bread starter is so good, you'll want to eat the whole basket, but you must save room for entrees. I had the halibut served over arugula and a cauliflower puree. My son had the carbonara with seafood. Both were perfect. Cocktails were also excellent. Atmosphere is nice but not at all stuffy. A nice shorts outfit or casual pants are perfect here.
I just had my husband's 40th Birthday party there. We had a private dining area that was elegantly dressed. The atmosphere was perfect for my family. Service was not perfect just bc the food took longer than expected. But everything that came out of the kitchen was great except for the collard greens. They were too salty. But honestly we did not come for collard greens. We came for the vibe and the ambience. I would recommend.
OMG... Can't say enough about this spot!! Went in for wine Wednesday...1/2 a bottle of red for $8... Seriously $8. (They're working on adding Whites for the summer!!) Ordered the Cauliflower... Amazing and totally changed my day to meatless Wednesday. It was so good!! And totally filling!! Then, let me tell you about Ashley(M-W), I feel like I'm sitting in my new best friends living room. Get bar tender and nothing's better than her "Not Quite a Margarita"!!
Alex our server was phenomenal and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the dinner for my upcoming birthday celebration 🎉
Incredible dining experience. We tried the two steaks on the menu- the tenderloin and the ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection. The flavor of the meat and their sides were fantastic.
Surprisingly good. I am usually sus about hotel anchored restaurants when they're not in big cities... But this place was great. The staff was so much fun and it had great brunch vibes. Will come again!
Macon has a new weekday breakfast option. Loom in Hotel 45 has opened for breakfast M-F. Welcomed and greeted by server Stephanie. Service from Stephanie and the meals were all excellent. We had corned beef hash with eggs and the veggie omelet. Will definitely be back.
There is nothing I would change about my dinner at Loom! My steak was perfect. My server, Cassie, was adorable and took excellent care of me. Great cocktail list too! I will be back.
Can’t wait to come back, perfect morning vibes , quiet , not over priced , food was amazing
The staff and atmosphere is always amazing! Sara makes amazing drinks!!! Perfect way to wind down after a long day.
We had a delicious Thanksgiving meal, and we will definitely be back. Alex was our server. He was fabulous along with all the other staff we came in contact with today. I highly recommend!
Loom Review #2- I came back for more! This restaurant gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for service, food and atmosphere. Jay was so cordial and on top of things! The breakfast was perfect. Largest- freshest blueberries ever! Eggs cooked perfectly. And the music had us swaying in our seats but quiet enough we could hear each other talk. There is no need to leave the hotel. Rico was an excellent server and took an amazing group photo! Sophia, one of the managers, was so gracious to come to our table and to provide a history lesson!
My waiter, Alex, is the best waiter I have ever had! He was full of energy and made me feel welcome immediately! I knew I was in for a treat! If I could give 10 stars I would.. 10/10 food, service, and atmosphere!
Our waiter was Alex and he was amazing!! Full of energy and had the best service! He was very inviting and immediately helped us with the menu. Because of him and the food I will definitely be coming back! Very good first experience here!!
What a wonderful surprise to not only find them open for Christmas but also the Christmas Course Dinner was absolutely fantastic. Alexander was a great server and the atmosphere was very welcoming.
When we came in they were up front with us even though we made a reservation we made it a couple of minutes late and they still accommodate us, they also let us know that the kitchen was a little backed up and we didn’t mind. We took a walk around the area since we’re new here in Macon, when we came back my cocktail was on the table and the food was done pretty quickly. Honestly took way less time than I thought. The flavor, the service, the atmosphere, the drinks and the dessert were phenomenal! We love the food culture here in Macon and this spot didn’t disappoint at all! It exceeded our expectations for sure and we would definitely recommend and also continue to come back.
The food and drinks were amazing and Rico took excellent care of our larger group for dinner! We came back for breakfast and had the French toast. Beautiful presentation! Jay was so attentive and caring.
Alex was a great bartender and the service and food were great! It’s very elegant interior and comfortable seating. We sat by the windows and the view overlooking First St was stunning!
The breakfast is outstanding at Loom. They take care with the simple things and that leads to a great meal and experience. Eggs actually cooked to order, crisp bacon that you can’t see through and potatoes crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Ask for Alex, he is truly great with his service and the coffee tastes great as well. Come find this hidden gem in the bottom of Hotel 45 in Macon, Georgia!
Alex was a fantastic addition to our Thanksgiving meal. The food was phenomenal and the service was excellent from making the reservation to the addition of bags provided along with our to go boxes.
Rico was an attentive waiter. He made great suggestions and was very nice. The food was delicious! We also had breakfast with Jay as our server. He was fantastic and brought a genuine smile during his time with us. He made great suggestions and was as quick to manage our table of 6!
Jay, our server as just amazing. Knowledge of menu, great suggestions based on our preferences and just overall great service. The food was amazing. We had steaks which were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fried green tomatoes were excellent!!! We enjoyed an after dinner drink on the rooftop bar. Lovely views. Great service. WE WILL BE BACK SOON!!!
The service by Alex was above and beyond expectations. The food was of good quality and very tasty. I highly recommend the salmon and eggs Benedict and the corned beef hash. The atmosphere was bright, clean and cheerful.
Food was amazing and it was a very nice environment. Alex a great waiter, making sure we were doing good.
We had a party of of 5 for a birthday and our waiter Alex (Alexander) was wonderful! He made sure we were well taken care of and updated even when our food wait took a while. He was wonderful and the food was great as well. We would definitely come back for his excellent service and the food.
Alex provided excellent service, and was extraordinarily accommodating. He delivered the kind of Gold Star service you would expect to find at places such as the Ritz Carlton. At one point during the dining experience a manager stopped by the table, for a tastefully, engaging visit. Oh, and the food was excellent! What more can you ask for?
Enjoyed dinner and breakfast here! Service was very helpful. For dinner i really enjoyed the braised duck collards and the braised wagyu beef cheeks!
Overall, I'd come back. The food is delicious and you can tell dinner would be amazing. We actually went hoping to get lunch/dinner but stayed anyway and got brunch. The avocado toast was fresh, definitely recommend with the salmon. The sourdough was crispy on the edges but soft in the middle and the salad it came with was fresh with grapefruit, apples and tomatoes and olive oil dressing. The shrimp and cornbread was good, needed a little salt but that's probably a personal preference. I would have also preferred my egg to be cooked a little more, but overall good. I also had to pick ever tail off my shrimp so if you don't like doing that, don't get this dish. Cornbread was very sweet, which I liked. I ate every bite. The wait staff leaves something to be desired. Although she was attentive, my daughter and I felt like she didn't want us to be there and that we were more of a burden. We still left a 25% tip.
A couple of co workers and I came here for dinner. LOVED the atmosphere, bar tender, owner was AMAZING. Our server was polite but a little slow and forgetful. My original dish was the flounder the special for the night. I did not like it, it was comparable to Captain D's. Having it changed out was not a problem. I ened up with the pork chop. I am NOT a pork eater. However when I tell you this dish was AMAZING!!!!!!. It was juicy, flavorful and did not taste like pork. The rest of the table had Salmon, short ribs and pok chop. The meal was Great and I Highly recommend. Also get the Mamaw drink 8/10!
First, the service was fantastic. That's a huge plus. Charles was very attentive and was great all night. We went in on Thanksgiving Night, in town to visit family. And while the meal was pleasant, several dishes were VERY over-seasoned. The Pimento Fritters were strangely dry and we didn't see any pimento in the cheese. But, it was also VERY salty. So, not great. The wife had the turkey and dressing. There was plenty of both with really good gravy but the turkey and asparagus were both salty. I had the Otis Fillet and it was delicious. Unfortunately, the blackened crab was salty but was bearable when mixed with the delicious garlic potatoes and holindaisse sauce. The steak itself was surprising larger than expected and very well cooked. We finished with the Sweet Potato Cheesecake and it was very good but was heavily spiced with those autumnal flavors that made it seem more pumpkin than sweet potatoes. Personally, don't care. They're all the same to me but, yeah. Overall, it was good. Outstanding? No. And maybe it was the special menu that got em. Maybe the seasoner in the kitchen had a burned tongue or a cold and it affected the taste testing. Either way, I hope they figured it out. Also, very pleasant restaurant to eat in. The tables had space and it was easy to have conversation without having to whisper or shout over music. Very nice.
We celebrated my friend’s birthday at Loom with a party of 15. I always get wary when it comes to group orders because most of the time, something goes wrong. I’m so glad, this didn’t happen with us & our lunch went smoothly. Our food was delicious, we could tell ingredients were fresh, and the drinks were great. Our waitstaff was attentive and cordial. The space was beautiful, chic & clean. There are individual parking spaces around or across the building.
First visit for brunch. They have valet which cool. I had a reservation but no really greeted me to find out so I had to ask if it was seat yourself. The air conditioner wasn't working an it was quite muggy in there. The waiter was good but it took so long for our food I forgot we ordered any. When it did come it was hot and good. We had off the menu mimosas and just enjoyed our time chatting and eating. I would recommend for a visit but not sure I want to return.
The salmon and potatoes was good for dinner. The chicken sausage was very tasty! The chicken wings were undercooked and I had to send them back. They also seem a bit understaffed. They need to fix a few things but the staff was nice.
Dining atmosphere was excellent! Rooftop view was excellent! The Food was a little bland and portions were small. We ordered the Crab Cake as an appetizer and we only received one little cake. Also it's a little overpriced for the portions.
I would probably rate this a 2.5 in the middle of disliking this place and it being just okay. The shrimp and grits were more like overly salted porridge. The chicken and waffles was also very subpar, with the chicken being mostly burnt tasting. Definitely not what I would expect for that price.
So, here we go. We ordered the soup du jour as a starter. which happened to be a corn bisque. It had reasonably good flavor but was extremely salty. So much so that I almost sent it back. For mains I got the filet Otis and my wife got the 'prime' ribeye. The Otis came with crab and hollandaise on top. It sat on top of a garlic mashed potato and asparagus. I ordered my steak mid-rare and it was cooked correctly. My wife ordered her steak the same and it cam out closer to medium. Her steak was also very tough for a ribeye. The hollandaise sauce and my potatoes were also overly salty. Both steaks had good flavor. For dessert we ordered the creme Brule and unfortunately it was broken and we sent it back. Caitlyn was out server and she was excellent. Atmosphere was nice.
Service was great! I ordered the crab and corn chowder. When this soup arrived I was confused because I had never seen a chowder of this consistency or color. I asked the waitress if this was the chowder and was told yes. No corn or crab in the soup. It was good but not what I was wanting. Also got a cocktail, it was pretty good.
We waited about 15 minutes before waitress came to collect our order, and then another 40 minutes for the food to be made. Several other people who arrived AFTER us, already got their food and we're almost done before we even received a menu to look at. Total one hour before we received our food. Then our server PATRICIA made a mistake splitting our checks multiple times. She legit only brought us WATER the entire meal. Our waitress Patricia, only brought WATER in the 1.5 hours we were here, and then made mistake last with our check. Then after we received our food, the food was not up to par. The southern omelette had so much oil it was swimming in it. This picture was taken after I used my napkin to dab as much as possible from the plate. The Eggs Benedict egg was not runny AT. ALL. the eggs Benedict came with fully cooked egg. The hollandaise sauce was equally not runny and almost looked like scrambled eggs. This entire experience from wait staff to food was very very poor. Very unfortunate because it was expected to be better since it's in a hotel. This entire experience was horrible and I would never never come back and recommend that future patrons be very careful.
This restaurant cuts corners, and you will be the one to pay for it. I went and had Christmas Dinner at Loom with my partner, and ordered the special Christmas Prime Rib. When it came out, it was completely overcooked and dry. It was honestly tough as old boots. In addition to this, the mashed potatoes were cold and gloopy, and my side of Green beans consisted of 5 under-seasoned beans. When I brought up my concerns about the meal to the waitress she said "Sorry you're not loving it, the prime rib is definitely cooked well done, because they cooked all of it this morning, and some customers have not ordered this dish because of that. Anyways might I recommend some of our desserts?" and walked away. There was no indication on the menu or from the waitress before I ordered that the prime rib would be cooked lazily and incorrectly by the chefs, and no offer of any sort of resolution. My concerns were completely dismissed and steamrolled over by the staff, and if it wasn't Christmas I would have made a bigger scene and not paid for this joke of a meal. 38 Dollars a plate for "well-done" charcoal that was sold as prime rib. Oh, and 5 green beans. Merry Christmas, I will never eat here again, and I will make sure nobody in my circle ever steps foot in the joke known as Loom. AVOID unless you like overpaying for food that is worse than you would get at waffle house, IHOP, or any other Diner. Get a big mac and have a better night, I am not exaggerating at all.
My family and I went to Loom on Thanksgiving. I was looking forward to doing something different and local on Thanksgiving. With the steep price tag per person, my expectations were high. To add, I had been to this restaurant numerous times for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Each experience was pretty good with good food and vibes. The ambience in the restaurant was wonderful, as usual. However, overall, the food was not good. The menu was included chicken breasts, salmon, pork tenderloins, dressing, yams, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, cornbread, a salad, pecan pie, and pumpkin pie. The meal was family style, which I do not recall reading on the website when I made the reservation. The portions of meat and sides were small (3 small cuts of each meat/fish and small cereal sized bowls for each side). Some of the food was cold ( the dressing, the yams, and some of the meat). The salad was good. My family members enjoyed the cornbread. The manager did come around to our table once to check on us when the we were eating the starters. I did noticed that he went to other tables multiple times throughout the meal. All in all, I will return to the Loom but not for Thanksgiving.
