If we're talking about sandwiches alone, 5 stars would be well deserved: the rye bread is excellent, nothing like the industrial junk you find elsewhere, the burgers are from the local butcher, the cheese is also local, all top-quality. The main problem is the wait. I've been there three times for dinner, and each time we've eaten after well over an hour (they tell you at the entrance that the wait is significant, but I've honestly never understood why, especially when the place isn't busy). If you have time, you'll leave very satisfied; if you don't, a little less so. It's still a nice pub, with an excellent selection of beers, and a great place to go.

We called to make a reservation and were told they didn't take reservations. At this point, we showed up and were told that "all our burgers on the grill wouldn't fit" (I challenge you to find a pizzeria that puts 12 pizzas in the oven at once). We weren't in a great hurry, so we agreed to split the order in two and have the food brought to us in shifts by the obviously annoyed staff. The food arrived: two lousy fries, a huge burger bun that covered perhaps two-thirds (except the veggie one, which was a more acceptable size) of the diameter of the bun that could have drained all the aquifers in Macugnaga. Let's draw a veil over the bathrooms, an excellent reimagining of those in a provincial train station.

The pub was also open for lunch today. Excellent! When we came in around 1:30 PM, we were told there would be a 40-minute wait! No problem, we sat down for a beer and after about ten minutes we ordered a platter. After 40-50 minutes, we were told "how did we know?" We couldn't have the platter we wanted, while friends who came in after us were eating at the counter! Thanks!

so friend of mine gave normal feedback on burger and we took some small tea bags with us that were supposed to be used by us and while we were leaving waitress or manager ran out of pub chased us to the car with empty tea containers shouting "at least u liked teeaa" it was so rude.
