Edimar fue encantadora, la comida riquísima y un ambiente calmado pero cercano. Casi me mato con las escaleras al lado de la mesa 3 veces, pero a parte de eso todo perfecto

Me ha gustado mucho. Todos muy amables y atentos en especial Kenner y Andrés Nos hicieron sentir como en casa. La comida muy rica, los flamenquines deliciosos. Volveremos.

A pesar de estar en una localización muy transitada por turistas, por su cercanía con la estación de Atocha, todo ha sido estupendo. Es un local agradable, las raciones que tiene están muy ricas y con una buena presentación y cantidad, a precios muy adecuados. El personal es superatento, atienden rápido y muy bien. Verdaderamente recomendable.

Estuvimos de despedida de soltera y Sandy se portó genial y fue muy agradable. Teníamos un presupuesto cerrado y en todo momento nos fueron avisando de cómo íbamos. La comida genial y el espacio que nos reservaron fue el que finalmente tuvimos disponible... Para los tiempos que corren es de agradecer!

Hemos salido de la estación de atocha y hemos visto este pintoresco y bonito local, lo mejor de todo es que tienen la típica carta española elevada al siguiente nivel con unos precios muy accesibles, una carta variada con el sabor de casa, nos ha encantado la tortilla de patata y el serraniyo sevillano; para bordarlo la atención de Yasmile ha sido inmejorable, volveremos sin duda y lo recomendarmos a nuestros amigos!

Great tapas, drinks, and staff here. I came during my first night in Madrid because it was near my hotel and returned the next night because it was so good, and great prices. David, Kenner, and Sandy are excelentes. Highly recommend the anchovy tapas and flamenquín.

La comida estaba rica aunque el personal muy despistado, le dijimos a 3 camareros diferentes que cuando hubiese una mesa nos avisasen para cenar, y cuando fuimos al baño vimos que había mesas libres y no nos dijeron nada

La tortilla de papa que pedimos estuvo MUY buena. Lamentable lo único la atención de la moza que parecía molesta por estar atendiendo y lo hacía de muy mala gana

Bareto Atocha is a cozy restaurant in central Madrid. It has a comfortable and friendly atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal. We enjoyed coffee and tea with cake there one afternoon, and it was excellent. The food quality is good and fresh, and the service is polite and efficient. Overall, a positive experience worth visiting.

Bar ubicado en una zona muy transitada. El servicio correcto y la comida según lo que consumas. Nosotros pedimos una de bravas, pican bastante, unas alitas de pollo fritas con ralladura de limón por encima(creíamos que solo eran fritas y ya está) lo que les cambia el sabor bastante y unos flamenquines de cecina y queso que estaban muy buenos. En cuanto al precio, adjunto el ticket. En mi opinión es algo caro sobre todo la bebida.

Visité Bareto y, lamentablemente, mi experiencia fue decepcionante. La ubicación es buena, pero la calidad de la comida deja mucho que desear: platos sin sabor y preparación poco cuidada. La atención del personal tampoco ayuda; el camarero que me atendió mostró poca disposición y profesionalismo. En relación calidad-precio, el sitio resulta carísimo. Por el mismo coste, puedes caminar un par de cuadras hacia el Museo del Prado, donde encontrarás lugares con mejor atención y alimentos de mucha más calidad. No recomendaría este lugar, especialmente considerando las mejores opciones que hay alrededor.

Pésimo “Bareto”. Pedimos 3 aguas, solan de cabras y no nos sacan aperitivo. Pido una caña y me sacan un doble y me dicen que no sirven más pequeño, pero cuando me traen la cerveza, no cuando pido la caña. Un lugar que está de paso, para turistas que claramente te puedes saltar. De precio…. Pues juzgarlos vosotros….

Usually, I don't have very high expectations from a Spanish restaurant when it comes to the food, cleanliness, and décor (I've been living in Valencia for 6 years and I'm used to the mediocrity of restaurant services), but here I was shocked by the fact that the brunch consisted of sandwiches made with cheap supermarket ingredients heated in the microwave, frozen churros, and poor-quality drinks, considering the location and popularity. It looks like a cheap neighborhood dive with second-rate food. Outside, some of their umbrellas are broken and unusable, yet they don’t bother to replace them. Again, an establishment that respects itself shouldn’t have broken umbrellas, dirty tables, and microwave heated food. We payed for nothing and left. We found a very nice and chic place, with good music, in the same area, and only paid 10 euros more for a super delicious and rich brunch.

Be very careful with your bill On June 24, 2025, we had breakfast at Bareto (Calle De Atocha 120, Madrid) before heading to the Museo del Prado. The food was fine — one sandwich, two tortillas, a small portion of jamón ibérico, six fresh orange juices, and one café con leche. But something didn’t feel right. The total came to €56.28, which seemed unusually high for a simple breakfast. As we walked toward the Prado, we kept thinking it over — and finally checked the receipt in detail. That’s when we realized we had been charged for three extra breakfasts 🙄. Since we had timed-entry tickets for the Prado at 10:30, we couldn’t go back immediately. But after finishing our museum visit, we returned straight to the restaurant. The original server was no longer there, but thankfully, a friendly English-speaking waiter who had helped us earlier was still around. We showed him the receipt and explained the issue. He checked with the manager, and a lady at the counter — who seemed to be in charge — processed a refund for the overcharged items. However, I specifically asked her to cancel the original payment entirely, because when we first paid, we had clearly said we wanted to be charged in euros, but the server had mistakenly charged us in USD. As a result, we lost money due to unfavorable exchange rates and bank fees. Unfortunately, the woman ignored this request and simply refunded the food items — meaning we still paid more than we should have. 📌 Bottom line: Always double-check your bill before paying. Mistakes can happen, but when they’re not fully addressed, they can leave a bad mark on an otherwise beautiful day in Madrid.
